Alleged rapist given seven-year jail term released in Berlin due to procedural error

An Afghan man sentenced to seven years in a German prison for alleged rape and battery has been released from custody after a judge at a Berlin court failed to write a trial protocol in time.

As local newspaper Tagesspiegel reports today, 27-year-old Mahmood D allegedly abused, raped and tortured his wife repeatedly between 2022 and 2024 and threatened to kill her.

In May 2024 the Berlin police apprehended him and he was held awaiting trial.

That started in November 2024 at the Berlin Regional Court and lasted until June 2025. Mahmood D remained in jail for the entire duration of the trial because the court saw a risk of his absconding.

In June 2025, the court handed down a prison sentence of seven years and nine months – indicating the severity of the Afghan man’s alleged crimes.

The presiding judge, though, failed to write down the judgment in time. Generally, the written judgment needs to be submitted to the lawyers of the defendant within four months of the verbal announcement of it in court.

The reasons for this delay are unclear. According to reporting by Tagesspiegel, the judge in question is accused of substance-abuse problems and has been on sick leave since December.

The failure to provide the written judgment meant the verdict was never legally delivered to the defendant.

After the four-month deadline expire, Mahmood D’s lawyer filed a complaint against the arrest warrant for his client.

The Berlin High Court upheld the complaint, saying that despite the severity of the alleged crimes there were no especially important reasons to keep the man in jail in light of the procedural delays.

In January 2026, Mahmood D was released from custody. His lawyers have reportedly appealed the prison sentence handed down by the Regional Court.

The former wife of the Afghan man is now under police protection as Mahmood D has allegedly repeatedly threatened to kill her before he was taken into custody.

French priest arrested after blessing a church scheduled for demolition

St. Gault Church

A French priest was detained by police for over a day after blessing a church reportedly on the verge of being demolished.

Father Matthieu Salenave appeared on a French podcast Monday to explain the incident, which occurred in the town of Mayenne.

On Tuesday, February 3, the residents of Quelaines Saint-Gault in Mayenne gathered to protest the demolition of their church. They were granted a reprieve. Photo © Urgences Patrimoine

Salenave was sprinkling holy water on St. Gault Church, which was built in the 11th century, when the mayor drove up and approached him, demanding he leave the premises. Father started to leave in his car as police arrived on the scene. He continued back to his priory, only to have 10 law enforcement officials arrive several hours later. Salenave spent the next 36 hours in jail on charges that he committed violence against an elected official that he adamantly denies.

St. Gault is located in the commune of Quelaines-Saint-Gault. A petition with more than 32,00 signatures calling on the French government to stop the destruction of historic churches is circulating online. It explains that thousands of abandoned churches are on the verge of demolition but that thanks to President Emmanuel Macron’s 2023 “Church Plan” they can yet be saved. It notes, however, that some municipalities have doubled down on destroying them with no repercussions.

Salenave’s arrest has caught the attention of social media influencers. The vice president of the Paris chapter of the Association of St. Geneviève, a traditionalist counter-revolutionary group, called on Catholics to pray for Salenave.

During the interview with French outlet Tocsin, Salenave explained that he spent the night at the police station and that delays in the hearing seemed purposefully designed to “intimate” him but that he said it was a “trial” for him that he used to glorify God. He said that he is filing a complaint over the matter with the authorities.

Salenave is a former priest of the Society of St. Pius X. He is currently a member of the “Resistance,” which is associated with the late English Bishop Richard Williamson, also formerly of the SSPX. The Resistance has a strong presence in France, with the Dominicans of Avrille and the Society of the Apostles of Jesus and Mary (SAJM) its main representatives. It is believed that Salenave is associated with the SAJM.

Salenave appeared on the Tocsin podcast on a separate occasion to explain that he said Masses in barns during COVID, which he described as being similar to the days of the French Revolution.

Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, former apostolic nuncio to the United States, drew attention to Salenave’s remarks in a recent interview with Catholic journalist Stephen Kokx.

“What is stopping priests from helping the faithful in this fight against globalism, as some have already begun to do?” he said, referencing Salenave’s efforts. “Catholics must reclaim their destiny, freeing themselves from the invasive and deadly dictatorship of the elite and the overwhelming power of a usurped authority.”

The SSPX recently announced that it would proceed with the consecution of future bishops on July 1 with or without Vatican approval. During an impassioned sermon on Sexagesima Sunday this past weekend, SSPX Bishop Bernard Fellay argued that a “state of necessity” clearly exists for the consecrations because the “missionary spirit” of the Church has been “killed” by the current Roman authorities.

Viganò told Kokx that the wishes for SSPX Superior General Father Davide Pagliarani, who will meet with Cardinal Victor Manuel “Tucho” Fernández on Thursday to make doctrine and Vatican II the primary focus of their conversation. Fernandez is the prefect of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith.

“I hope that the reason the Superior General is insisting on having a dialogue with Rome is not primarily to achieve canonical regularization but rather to ‘corner them’ – so to speak – so that, on the one hand, the willingness of the members of the SSPX to recognize themselves as children of the Catholic Church and subjects of the Roman Pontiff is evident; and on the other hand, to ‘put on record’ the unwillingness of the current Hierarchy to reconsider Vatican II and its very serious deviations, showing it for what it is, namely subversive and heretical,” he remarked.

Germany: 3 Syrians allegedly raped a 27-year-old woman on the hood of a car, one complains of a female interpreter

Illustration AI generator

Three Syrians reportedly raped a 27-year-old victim on top of the hood of a parked car in the city of Düsseldorf when she became separated from her friends. Two of the Syrians are on trial, with the case also making headlines because the men are unhappy that a female interpreter has been assigned to them.

The two Syrian nationals, 33-year-old Saad A. and 40-year-old Ahmed A. opened on Tuesday before the Düsseldorf Regional Court. The third suspect in the case remains at large.

During the opening proceedings, Saad A. expressed his discomfort through an interpreter, stating he was “ashamed to be interpreted by a woman.” Both individuals require interpreters during the trial.

Despite his protests, the trial will proceed under a female judge, and both men will be sentenced by her as well if they are found guilty.

The prosecution alleges the assault occurred in the early hours of June 29, 2025, in Düsseldorf’s historic district at Stiftsplatz,

At approximately 2:45 a.m., the woman, who was highly intoxicated, was lifted onto the car’s hood. Prosecutors claim that by this time, it was unmistakably clear the woman was incapacitated by alcohol and “showing almost no reactions.”

The indictment describes a systematic assault where the defendants allegedly took turns raping the woman while two others acted as lookouts. Despite their efforts to hide the assault, a witness walking by saw what was happening.

Other people were also nearby and asked what the suspects were doing, with the one witness stating that Ahmed A. reportedly claimed to know the victim, mocked her drunken state, and said, “She needs this.”

Upon confronting Ahmed A. over this reply, the accused reportedly charged at the witnesses gathered, screaming that he “would also commit a crime against them.”

Bild reports that the witnesses demonstrated bravery and forced the perpetrators to flee. They immediately contacted emergency services and escorted the victim to a police vehicle at the nearby Burgplatz.

Armed with witness statements and other evidence, police arrested Ahmed A. and Saad A. that same night. Investigators obtained DNA evidence from the victim’s body, which is the main piece of evidence in the case besides the witness statements.

Both men face up to 15 years in prison.

Grooming Gang Inquiry: Muslim Child Rapists Trafficked British Sex Slaves to Pakistan, MP Says

Screengrab youtube

The predominantly Muslim child rape grooming gangs likely trafficked “countless” British women and girls to their native Pakistan to serve as sex slaves, the head of the independent rape gang inquiry has said.

MP Rupert Lowe, who launched an independent inquiry into the mass child rape that occurred throughout England at the hands of clans of mostly Pakistani Muslim men, has called on the government to launch an investigation into cases of missing girls in grooming areas to determine whether they may have been trafficked to Pakistan as sex slaves.

The inquiry, which began in London last week, heard testimony from rape gang survivors that their abusers had attempted to take them to Pakistan. One victim told the inquiry: “They said they wanted to take me back to meet their families. So luckily I didn’t have a passport, otherwise I might not be sat here right now.”

Lowe said that multiple witness statements have stated that sexually abused girls were being trafficked to Pakistan and elsewhere by their rapists.

“I believe there are currently countless British women being used as sex slaves overseas. This may sound insane. It is not. Look at these gangs. Nobody would have believed the extent of the evil before it was uncovered. This is very real,” the Greater Yarmouth MP said.

“Our inquiry believes that this is the current reality for a terrifying number of women,” Lowe added.

The claims fall in line with previous disclosures detailing the modus operandi of grooming gangs, which have been frequently accused of trafficking girls to other cities in England to be abused by other members of their vast networks.

One victim told the Lowe inquiry: “There’s a very big network. It’s in Derby, Birmingham, there’s Sheffield, there’s Newcastle, there’s Leeds, there’s Barnsley. So you’d get taken to, say, Burton, and then he’d take you to a house, and then they’d send men in, like a conveyor belt.”

Victims appearing before the inquiry have also testified to the racial and religious element to the sexual abuse, in which mostly Pakistani Muslim men preyed specifically on white working-class girls, as they were seen as lesser than their Muslim counterparts.

One survivor, who said that she was victimised by “mainly Pakistani” men, told the panel: “They used to, like, tell me things about the good angel and the bad angel that I’ve been, like, kind of possessed. And they’ve got to punish me to get the badness out of me.

“That’s why they have to rape me and do all this stuff to me, to get the badness out of me. I’ve got to be punished. Yeah. And it was just all kind of stuff like that. The words they say to you, you’re ‘gora, like white trash and white skin.”

Another recounted an instance in which she was taken to the “party house” during the Islamic holiday of Eid, and one of her abusers said that his “relatives were coming from Birmingham to celebrate Eid and they were expecting girls to be waiting here for them.”

The victims, some of whom said that they were abused by hundreds of men, also stressed that the abuse extended far beyond rape, with some telling the inquiry of being drugged, beaten, and having guns put to their heads.

“I’ve had a knife at my throat because he wanted me to ‘sort out’ 10, 15 cars full of men. I’d get kidnapped. I don’t think people realise, I think they think it’s rape, but it was torture as well. I’d be kidnapped and I’d be locked in a room. And I’d be beaten. I’d be told if I don’t do this, I’m not going to go home. So it was a lot more than just rape,” one said.

Local authorities, notably the police and NHS, were also accused in the victim testimonies of being either complicit or at least serving to cover up the crimes committed by the rape gangs. Previous reports have long found that police, social workers, and other local authorities frequently overlooked the atrocities committed by grooming gangs for fear of appearing racist or stoking racial tensions.

One survivor told the Rape Gang Inquiry: “The police didn’t do anything last time. I told them that it was essentially forced. And they smirked at me in my own home and left. So, I mean… there was no evidence that they were going to do anything different, that they were going to actually support us.”

Another said that healthcare workers at the National Health Service failed to take any action after she came in with sexually transmitted diseases at the age of 13 and later with a miscarriage.

Commenting on the alleged complicity, Rupert Lowe said: “I want to see senior police officers in prison. With the evidence we are collecting, there is simply no way hundreds of men and women right at the top of their forces were not aware of the rapes. Hundreds, if not more. Politicians, police, council officials, NHS, social care – all of them.

“If they knew and did nothing, they shouldn’t just be sacked, they should be prosecuted. A lot of people need to go to prison.”

Welcome to the ‘EUSSR’: Unpopular European Regimes Grasping for Power Crack Down on Dissent

Governing elites in Europe, in what increasingly appears to be the EUSSR (European Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) race to the bottom, have been growing ever more unpopular. Disapproval ratings are skyrocketing. In France, 77% of the public disapprove of President Emmanuel Macron. In Britain, 68% disapprove of Prime Minister Keir Starmer. In Germany, 64% disapprove of Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and in Spain, 61% have had it up to here with Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.

In other parts of Europe, such as Germany and France, all sorts of pseudo-legal acrobatics are being generated to prevent political opponents from running for high office (such as here and here).

So, if you are an unpopular regime desperately clinging to power, what do you do? It’s easy! Iran’s ayatollahs, China’s Xi Jinping, Russia’s Vladimir Lenin, Josef Stalin and Vladimir Putin could tell you. You simply crack down — more than ever — on free speech and dissent!

In supposed democracies, this latest “benefit ” to your people – cracking down on dissent “democratically” — means using technology rather than firepower to crush freedom of speech.

Concerning age limits for children, there is a valid argument to be made that leaving the faces of a generation staring at screens all day appears to be impairing not only their education but also their ability to socialize with anyone not an AI chimera, algorithmed to agree narcotically with everything uploaded, including the best ways to how to put their young, ostensibly deficient lives to an end.

As the founder and CEO of Telegram, Pavel Durov wrote on X:

Today, Telegram notified all its users in Spain with this alert:

Pedro Sánchez’s government is pushing dangerous new regulations that threaten your internet freedoms. Announced just yesterday, these measures could turn Spain into a surveillance state under the guise of “protection.” Here’s why they’re a red flag for free speech and privacy:

1. Ban on social media for under-16s with mandatory age verification: This isn’t just about kids—it requires platforms to use strict checks, like needing IDs or biometrics….

⚠️Danger: This will force over-censorship—platforms will delete anything remotely controversial to avoid risks, silencing political dissent, journalism, and everyday opinions. Your voice could be next if it challenges the status quo….

⚠️Danger: Governments will dictate what you see, burying opposing views and creating echo chambers controlled by the state. Free exploration of ideas? Gone—replaced by curated propaganda….

⚠️Danger: Vague definitions of “hate” could label criticism of the government as divisive, leading to shutdowns or fines. This can be a tool for suppressing opposition. These aren’t safeguards; they’re steps toward total control. We’ve seen this playbook before—governments weaponizing “safety” to censor critics….

Demand transparency and fight for your rights. Share this widely—before it’s too late.

Durov, incidentally, born in the Soviet Union in 1984 – of all Orwellian dates! – left Russia in 2014 after Russia’s FSB security service demanded that his company, VKontakte, hand over the personal data of Ukrainian Euromaidan protesters and opposition figures, and for refusing to censor posts on his site.

In Spain, in addition to an arguably justified ban on social media for people under 16 years old, Sanchez’s government is introducing a legislative package consisting of five additions to censor speech online.

First, social media platform executives will not just be fined for failing to remove “illegal, hateful or harmful” content from their platforms in a timely way – they will also now face criminal liability, including possible imprisonment. As Durov warns:

“This will force over-censorship—platforms will delete anything remotely controversial to avoid risks, silencing political dissent, journalism, and everyday opinions. Your voice could be next if it challenges the status quo.”

“Sanchez,” Elon Musk said more bluntly, “is the true fascist totalitarian.”

Second, amplifying “illegal” or “harmful” content through the algorithms will become a crime.

“We will turn algorithmic manipulation and amplification of illegal content into a new criminal offense,” Sanchez said. “No more hiding behind code. No more pretending technology is neutral.”

Third, according to Sanchez:

“We will implement a hate and polarization footprint system to track, quantify, and expose how digital platforms fuel division and amplify hate. For too long, hate has been treated as invisible and untraceable, but we will change that.”

The problem, of course, is that usually “hate” is never defined — meaning that anything and everything can be labeled “hate” and often is. Judgments about what constitutes “hate” become entirely subjective and run the danger of existing exclusively “in the eye of the beholder.”

In Sudan, for instance, a British teacher at an elementary school was sentenced to 40 lashes and a term in prison for having allowed her students to name a teddy bear Muhammad. In Iran today, people who protested against the regime are being sentenced to death for “waging war against God.”

The United States officially enshrines freedom of speech in the First Amendment to the Constitution:

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

US courts have ruled that only child pornography and immediate, direct and credible threats, as well as a few other limitations, are banned.

Some governing elites in Spain apparently want to ban X there altogether. “The next battle should be aimed at limiting… and likely banning Twitter,” Minister of Youth and Children Sira Rego stated.

Spain’s Deputy Prime Minister Yolanda Díaz, announced that she has left X and that whoever remains on X “is feeding hate policies.”

France is planning a similar move, “to ban minors from Instagram and TikTok,” and Germany is also seriously considering introducing such a ban as well. Germany’s Christian Democratic Union — the conservative party led by Chancellor Friedrich Merz and the largest in the governing coalition — is reportedly set to discuss the issue at its national party congress on February 20-21, 2026.

Denmark, Greece and Britain are also in various stages of either introducing or seriously considering banning X, and European authorities are simultaneously seeking to come up with other ways to close down X.

At the beginning of February, French authorities and European Union police agency Europol raided X’s offices in Paris, over “suspected abuse of algorithms, plus allegations related to deepfake images and wider concerns over posts generated by the platform’s AI chatbot, Grok,” according to Time Magazine.

According to The Telegraph, the raid “was triggered in the first place by an MP in Emmanuel Macron’s centrist party complaining, after Musk’s purchase, that X had ‘reduced diversity of voices’, and a separate complaint that the site hosted ‘nauseating political content'”.

In Britain, according to The Telegraph:

“[T]he Information Commissioner’s Office launched an investigation into deepfakes on X, running in parallel to the Ofcom inquiry into the platform. Liz Kendall, the Technology Secretary, has said the Government will give its ‘full backing’ should the watchdog decide to block access to the site in the UK and accused those opposing the measures of allying with ‘those who think the creation and publication of sexually manipulated images of women and children is acceptable’.”

All this is in addition to a €120 million fine that the European Commission has imposed on X under its “Delete. Silence. Abolish” Digital Services Act.

To the European governments that refuse to acknowledge that many of their citizens are sick and tired of their repressive policies, when the ayatollahs slaughter their citizens in Iran, it is not a pressing problem, but banning X is of the highest priority.

Knife attack at a school in London: Two pupils were injured by a 13-year-old former pupil shouting “Allah Akbar”

A ‘hero’ schoolboy who was stabbed during a double knife attack at a school in north London saved other pupils by pulling the fire alarm, it has been claimed.

Counter terror police are investigating after a 13-year-old boy allegedly shouted ‘Allahu Akbar’ as he unleashed the attack at Kingsbury High School in Brent yesterday lunchtime.

The suspect is said to be an ‘excluded’ pupil who put his uniform back on to sneak back onto the grounds by ‘climbing over a wall’.

He was allegedly armed with pepper spray and used the gas on a teacher during a science lesson, horrified witnesses claimed.

The attacker is said to have then stabbed a 12-year-old boy in the neck and another pupil aged 13 in the midriff in what is believed to have been a targeted attack.

One of the victims has since been praised by parents and on social media as a ‘hero’ who prevented the attacker from harming more pupils.

Simon Theodorou, a father of a child at the school, said he ‘pulled the fire alarm’ to get help after being stabbed.

Witnesses on social media said everyone was then evacuated from the building and that the boy ‘put himself in danger to protect others’.

The Urgent Need for the UK’s Muslim Rape Gang Inquiry and Lessons for the U.S. – Five decades of nightmarish institutional neglect

The United Kingdom’s grooming gangs scandal, recently cited by Elon Musk, serves as a warning to the United States as the nation deals with issues of sex trafficking and child exploitation due to immigration policies.

In 2025, Musk made nearly 200 posts, amplifying abuse allegations and paralleling U.S. concerns about exploitation and community influences.

Hearings recently began for U.K. Member of Parliament Rupert Lowe’s independent Rape Gang Inquiry. The inquiry is a crowdfunded investigation into the reported grooming, rape, and exploitation of up to one million vulnerable girls over five decades across the country.

Lowe’s initiative seeks to address perceived government inaction. However, his reversal on promised transparency—after raising funds on that basis—has drawn criticism. This may expose Lowe to legal risks from misled donors and highlights possible lessons for American child protection policy.

The Necessity of the Inquiry: Confronting a History of Organizational Failures

For over 50 years, mostly white English and some Sikh girls from disadvantaged backgrounds were systematically exploited by Muslim Pakistani groups.

In Rotherham, 1,400 children suffered abuse between 1997 and 2013 while authorities allegedly ignored reports to avoid accusations of racism. Similar incidents in up to 40 other towns contributed to national estimates as high as 1 million victims.

Successive governments have not adequately addressed the issue.

Conservative administrations commissioned fragmented reviews, while Labour’s June commitment resulted in the December appointment of Baroness Anne Longfield CBE as chair, along with several panelists, for a statutory inquiry scheduled to begin in March.

At least ten major inquiries have examined grooming and child exploitation, but none focused exclusively on national grooming gangs.

Local reviews, including in Derby, Rochdale, Rotherham, Oxford, Telford, and Oldham, and national efforts like the Home Affairs Committee, Children’s Commissioner, and the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse, revealed systemic failures but lacked focus, enabling perpetrators to evade justice.

The 2025 Casey audit called for a dedicated investigation, but delays persist. This parallels U.S. concerns about unchecked migration and potential abuses.

Rupert Lowe’s Key Contributions

As the Member of Parliament for Great Yarmouth, Lowe raised over 600,000 pounds ($820,000) through crowdfunding from 20,000 donors. His team, which includes survivor Sammy Woodhouse, identified exploitation in 85 authorities, flagged 1,200 cases (including 200 high-priority cases), and applied pressure on Labour’s inquiry. Through the Restore Britain initiative, Lowe elevates survivor voices and advocates for in-depth reviews and improved protection measures.

Rupert Lowe’s Commitment to Transparency and Its Subsequent Reversal

During his crowdfunding campaign, Lowe pledged that “Stage 2—Public Hearings” would involve “a multiple-day live-streamed hearing period. Hearings will be closed to the public (for safety and control) but broadcast online to guarantee transparency.” This promise of transparency was central to securing donor support, particularly given the history of cover-ups associated with the scandal.

However, this commitment has since been reversed.

Sessions are now held behind closed doors, with no livestreaming and only selected evidence released to the public. Media access is prohibited. This change has sparked fierce criticism, including from former panel member Donna Rachel Edmunds, who branded the inquiry “an utter shambles” and cited inadequate funding, a lack of safeguarding, poor methodology, and her abrupt dismissal after proposing professional support.

Critics argue Lowe’s U-turn betrays donors who funded based on openness, potentially opening him to legal action for misleading representations or breach of terms, eroding trust and jeopardizing the inquiry’s credibility in a scandal demanding full accountability.

The Pursuit of Prosecutions Amid Systemic Obstacles

Lowe’s created his inquiry to facilitate private prosecutions against individuals who enabled abuse. However, achieving justice remains difficult, as demonstrated by the case of “Liz,” who secured a £450,000 judgment against her assailant, Asghar Bostan, in 2023 with support from Robin Tilbrook, Lord Pearson, and Hearts of Oak. Despite this legal victory, no enforcement order has been issued after five years.

Lowe’s inquiry strives to address five decades of institutional neglect.

Although previous investigations have identified significant issues, none have focused exclusively on national grooming networks, showing the need for renewed transparency.

While successful prosecutions could deliver justice, persistent enforcement issues, as demonstrated in Liz’s case, continue. For the United States, this situation illustrates the potential risks of favoring diversity over public safety and stresses the importance of vigilant policy measures to prevent similar abuses.

Documents Show Epstein Bought 330 GALLONS of Sulfuric Acid in 2018, ON THE SAME DAY the FBI Launched Sex Trafficking Probe on Him

Epstein with young victim apparently in her underwear – Image released by DOJ

Not a ‘conspiracy theory’ anymore.

The millions of ‘Epstein Files’ documents released by the DOJ are revealing damaging information about powerful people all over the world, and also shedding light on the most disturbing aspects of the Epstein trafficking ring lore.

For years, it was rumored that young women and children were murdered by elite figures in his ‘Pedophile Island’ and his New Mexico ‘Zorro Ranch’.

And while this remains in the realm of wildest speculation, new documents within the Epstein files show that ‘330 gallons of sulfuric acid were purchased for the pedophile’s island on the day the FBI opened its investigation into the billionaire’s trafficking charges’.

Daily Mail reported:

“According to a receipt and several email exchanges buried within the millions of files that were released on January 30, Epstein had six 55-gallon drums of the chemical delivered to Little St. James (LSJ) – his private island. The sulfuric acid was purchased for £4,373 on June 12, 2018, coinciding with the date the FBI opened a federal investigation into Epstein’s trafficking activities.”

“The revelation about the sulfuric acid sparked wild speculation on social media as to what Epstein needed it for, including to ‘destroy evidence or even human remains’ – despite there being no evidence of criminal use.

[…] But further emails in the documents, dating back to 2013, suggest Epstein used sulfuric acid on the private island to purify water.”

The fact that the order was made on the SAME day as the FBI investigation was launched is hard to overlook, as much as the ‘Coincidence Theorists’ insist we do so.

‘Laughing’ Afghan Boat Migrant Who Abducted and Raped 12-Year-Old Found Guilty

Warwickshire Police

A migrant who abducted and raped a child shortly after coming to Britain by people smuggler boat has been found guilty and faces a lengthy prison sentence and deportation.

Afghan boat migrant Ahmad Mulakhil, 23, who Warwickshire Crown Court heard laughed as he raped a 12-year-old girl while filming the abuse has been found guilty of rape of a child, abduction, two counts of sexual assault and taking an indecent video. The jury failed to reach a verdict on Monday but agreed unanimously to convict on those charged after over seven hours of deliberation on Tuesday. Mulakhil was found not guilty on a second count of rape.

He had appeared in court besides a second Afghan migrant who was accused of strangulation and attempted taking of a child, and who was found not guilty on all counts.

The court had previously heard how Mulakhil met the young girl at a play park in Nuneaton, Warwickshire on 22 July 2025 before taking her to a secluded, but nevertheless public, residential road to be raped. The court heard the victim’s statement that Mulakhil had threatened the child’s family during the attack.

After the attack, the girl was discovered by members of the public who then called police.

Now-convicted child rapist Mulakhil had maintained as defence through the trial that he hadn’t wanted to have sex with the girl at first, that she’d been deceptive over her true age, that she’d “insisted” he make the video recording of the rape on his phone, and that “she drove all of it, and that she consented throughout”. The prosecution told the court that he’d remained unrepentant and hadn’t considered in retrospect that he’d made a mistake.

The Afghan migrant had arrived in the United Kingdom just four months before the attack on a small boat crossing of the English Channel. He was able to be identified quickly by police because he’d used his government issued and funded debit card to buy a drink after the attack. Officers also recovered Mulakhil’s DNA from the 12-year-old victim’s skin and from inside her shorts.

The BBC reports Mulakhil cried as the guilty verdict was read out. He was remanded into custody and will be sentenced at a later date.

Warwickshire Police praised the “immense courage” of the victim for helping them to bring the prosecution against the asylum seeker.

The case gathered considerable public attention as it came amid a national conversation about the wisdom of the government housing large numbers of recently arrived boat migrants in local communities across the country, often in converted hotels or private homes rented by agents of the state. The Nuneaton child rape took place only weeks after a separate sex attack on a child by a boat migrant living in a hotel in Epping, Essex, which itself triggered weeks of unrest.

Nuneaton locals also protested against the rape, and against what had been called an attempted coverup by local police, who did not initially reveal they’d arrested an Afghan asylum seeker. Reform Party Warwickshire County Council leader George Finch had a part in initially exposing the now-proven crime and had battled with police to get information into the public domain. As reported last year:

Finch said that while the attack on the child led to an arrest on July 26th, he wasn’t made aware until days later and said he was investigating why this information had been withheld from even the leader of the council for so long. When he became aware, he said that he “wished to speak to Warwickshire police to urge them to release the immigration status” of the suspects. He said: “I was begging for this to be released, screaming, phoning, asking for it to be released… I think transparency is needed and the people of Nuneaton and the wider Warwickshire area have the right to know who the man is, and his background”.

On what he sees as the importance of pushing on this matter, Finch continued: “We are the last line of defence against the blob, the cover-ups of the councils, and we have to fight every step of the way… it has to stop.” He said: “I was told that if I released this, I would be in contempt of court, that I cannot release this due to the phrase ‘community cohesion’.”

“They’re trying to cover up… and the people of Nuneaton are hurt, they’ve had enough. And that’s why I’m urging all council leaders from all parties to join me in campaigning to stop the housing of illegal immigrants in HMOs, with Serco, and the illegal immigrants in hotels… the Home Office are telling Warwickshire Chief Constable, telling Warwickshire County Council ‘we’re not going to tell you where the HMOs are’… that’s dangerous, that’s against safeguarding… that’s a huge problem for the children in Warwickshire”.

Local Backlash Grows Against Asylum Housing Across the Netherlands

Former juvenile detention facility De Doggershoek in Den Helder, the Netherlands, repurposed in 2015 as an asylum reception center with the capacity to hold around 575 asylum seekers.

Hundreds of residents in Nieuw-Lekkerland, a Dutch town of around 10,000, demonstrated on Monday evening against the potential establishment of an asylum seekers’ housing center in their community.

The march culminated at the town’s community center, where a residents’ meeting was held and locals were given the opportunity to ask questions regarding the proposed shelter. The protesters presented the results of an online petition to Mayor Theo Segers—a petition that had garnered over 10,000 signatures from people opposing the center.

The organizers said they wanted to peacefully send a message to the municipal government to highlight concerns regarding the potential impact of an asylum center on the livability, safety, and strain on amenities in their community as the Netherlands continues to struggle with a lack of housing for asylum seekers.

As of late January 2026, roughly 80,000 asylum beds were available nationwide—far below the national target of nearly 103,000. According to official figures, only four in ten municipalities currently meet their legal requirements for housing.

The Dutch Dispersal Law (Spreidingswet), which came into effect in February 2024, requires municipalities to take in asylum seekers based on set quotas. These quotas depend on factors such as population size and are meant to spread asylum reception more ‘fairly’ across the country instead of relying on municipalities to volunteer.

In the past months, several municipalities have postponed or withdrawn plans to open asylum centers as a response to backlash from local residents. Mark Boumans, mayor of Doetinchem and chairman of the asylum committee of the Association of Dutch Municipalities, told NL Times, “I have been in local politics since 1995. I cannot remember mass protests against municipal decision-making like this.”

There’s a shortage of housing in general across the Netherlands, and the fact that a large number of large migrant families are arriving in the country poses yet another problem—one that municipalities are legally obligated to solve. Apartments, and even regular-size homes, simply are not big enough to accommodate families with eight, nine, or more children. The Hague is reportedly looking for housing for 19 large migrant families, while the city of Zwolle is trying to find accommodation for a family of 16. Last summer, one municipality decided to purchase a home—with a price tag of €469,000—so that a family of at least ten could move in. Other municipalities are reportedly also pursuing this solution, with the city of Delft announcing their intent to appeal to the central government for additional subsidies to purchase homes.

PVV leader Geert Wilders said municipalities are “rolling out the red carpet” for asylum-seeking families and thundered on X:

Families of 14 people in our homes! Insane. … Borders remain open, coercive legislation remains in place. The Netherlands is rapidly becoming Islamized. … Resistance to national suicide policy is desperately needed.”
