Between Laval and Château-Gontier-sur-Mayenne, the church in the French village of Quelaines-Saint-Gault is likely facing its final hours. Deemed too dilapidated, the 11th-century building was scheduled to be demolished in the coming days. The demolition has just been temporarily suspended following an appeal by the association Urgences Patrimoine.

The fight continues…
Today, the 11th-century church in the commune of Quelaines-Saint-Gault (Mayenne) is threatened with demolition by the local council, which wants to turn it into a memorial garden.
€120,000 is being invested in the demolition, but this amount could save it.
This madness must stop.
