Furious Epping residents have declared they will refuse to pay their council tax following Friday’s Court of Appeal decision that reversed an injunction blocking asylum seekers from staying at a hotel in the town.

The ruling means 138 migrants can remain at the controversial Essex hotel, overturning a High Court order that would have required their removal by September 12.

Local residents expressed outrage at the decision, with some stating they would withhold council tax payments even if it resulted in imprisonment.

The hotel has been at the centre of intense controversy after an Ethiopian asylum seeker residing there was charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl last month, allegations he denies.

The Court of Appeal’s reversal has sparked fierce local opposition and reignited debates about asylum accommodation across Britain.

Sarah White, a mother of three, told the Mail she feels “very vulnerable” following the court ruling.

“What is the point of paying our council tax if it is being directly used to fund a place which houses alleged sex attackers?” she said, adding that the situation “goes against everything which council tax is for.”

Another local resident, who wished to remain anonymous, stated: “The feeling is so strong that the threat of prison does not worry me. I will go to jail for this.”

Sarah Corner, a 20-year Epping resident, echoed these sentiments: “We need to take a stand. Enough is enough. Our taxes are funding the hotel, the police and all the costs associated with it. That’s not what it should be for.”

The protests at the Hotel began after Hadush Gerberslasie Kebatu, 38, an Ethiopian migrant resident, was charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl and another woman.

Kebatu is standing trial at Colchester Magistrates Court and denies the charges.

Epping Forest District Council has announced it will consider appealing to the Supreme Court if it loses at another High Court hearing scheduled for October.

The council stated: “We will continue to fight on every front, using the democratic, diplomatic, legal, and political means available, until the Hotel is closed.”

However, local Tory councillor Holly Whitbread, who represents the ward containing the Hotel, urged residents against withholding council tax, arguing that the local authority is fighting alongside them and that frustration should be directed at the government instead.

Meanwhile, asylum seekers at the hotel have welcomed the Court of Appeal ruling, with Khadar Mohamed, 24, from Somalia, telling reporters: “I want to say thank you Keir Starmer and his Government. I am delighted with the news, wow. That is really amazing.”

The controversy has triggered nationwide demonstrations, with protests occurring in Newcastle, Falkirk, Aberdeen, Gloucester and London over the weekend, resulting in five arrests in west London.

Reform UK’s deputy leader Richard Tice revealed exclusively to GB News that a Reform-controlled council would submit legal injunctions “by tomorrow evening”, though he declined to specify which authority.

At least 19 councils have pledged to pursue legal action to remove asylum seekers from hotels following Friday’s ruling, as the immigration debate intensifies across Britain.

Highlighting the increasing feeling of “lawlessness” in Britain, Mr Tice told The People’s Channel: “They will be remote away from residents, and that’s the key thing, that’s how you keep people safe, and this is really important.

“We’re all worried about safety, whether it’s outside hotels or not.

Mr Tice, the MP for Boston and Skegness, was pressed on whether he is linking “lawless Britain” to “illegal migration”.

He replied: “I’m not actually, I’m just linking it directly to the breakdown in law and order in this country. Britain is lawless.

“We’ve been running a campaign through the summer highlighting this, and regrettably, there have been serious incidents allegedly carried out by people who are illegally claiming asylum, some of them living in these hotels.

“Of course, not everybody, no one’s saying that, but you have to keep our residents, our women and girls safe, and they’re not at the moment in some areas.”

In a few days’ time, France risks finding itself without a government, with a wind of revolt blowing through the streets and the financial markets in turmoil over the spiralling public debt that nothing seems able to stop, but the urgent issue lies elsewhere. Élisabeth Borne, former prime minister recycled as Minister of National Education, retains a sense of real priorities: what if all our present ills stem from the poorly gendered dedication that adorns the Pantheon, the monument that stands in the heart of Paris in honour of the nation’s heroes?

Indeed, in the Latin Quarter, in the heart of Paris’s 5th arrondissement, stands an imposing neoclassical building with columns: the Pantheon. Originally designed by architect Jacques-Germain Soufflot to be a church dedicated to the patron saint of Paris, Saint Geneviève, the building has been deconsecrated since the Revolution and has housed the most prominent figures of France—or at least, to be precise, post-1789 France—for just over two centuries. On the Greek-style pediment, the following dedication can be read: “To great men, the grateful fatherland.” Admit that in 2025, such a statement is indeed scandalous.

In the icy marble-lined corridors of this republican temple, literary glories, famous generals, scientists and resistance fighters, all of whom have received their diploma of republican respectability, rub shoulders for a materialistic and Jacobin eternity.

Less than a week before French schoolchildren return to their desks, Borne explained at her inaugural press conference launching the new school year that she wanted to “open the debate” with a view to “degendering” the Pantheon’s dedication for the sake of inclusivity.

The minister is saddened by the under-representation of women in the Pantheon. Indeed, under the lofty dome, there are 76 men and 7 women—some of whom had no other merit than being the ‘wife of.’ This is hardly gender-balanced. But Borne’s ambition is broader: by changing the gender of the Pantheon’s dedication, the future destiny of millions of French women could well be transformed.

“We can open all the doors of scientific fields to young girls, but if when they look up, they do not see society fully recognising their place in its history, then we are sending a contradictory message,” the minister argued.

Just think about it. For a little over two centuries now, women have been bullied all over France in their endeavours and aspirations, all because of a phrase hastily engraved in marble by a supporter of patriarchy. Adding a little inclusive writing to all this will certainly change many lives.

Incidentally, the proto-fascist reference to the “Fatherland” will certainly be removed and replaced with “Republic,” which is far less objectionable.

“Opening the debate” is a well-known phrase that means that a twisted decision has already been made in some obscure ministerial office, and that we will pretend to discuss it in the public arena before imposing it with a clear conscience.

If I wanted to be a little counter-revolutionary and mischievous, I would agree with Ms. Borne and remind her that this unfortunate motto is not surprising coming from crude sans-culottes known to be as macho as each other. As the delightful Élisabeth Vigée-Lebrun, confidante and portrait painter to Queen Marie-Antoinette, liked to recall, remembering the good old days of the monarchy, “women ruled then, the Revolution dethroned them.”

We therefore suggest to Ms. Borne, with all due respect, that she save her precious time—which she would do better to spend reforming the most dysfunctional ministry in France, her own—and defend the cause of women in the Pantheon by a very simple means: by returning it to its original purpose, namely a church dedicated to Saint Geneviève, the young girl who, in the 5th century, defied Attila and organised the defence of Paris against the terrible invader from the steppes. A tribute to youth, courage, and a female figure who, in her obscurantist century, was not afraid to challenge stereotypes: what more could one ask for?

Germany, the region that once pushed back against the entire Roman Empire, has self-immolated and will soon be no more. It’s a sad and useful reminder about the destruction that leftism has wrought across the West.

If you examine a map of the Roman Empire at its peak, one thing you might not have noticed is that the Romans never made significant inroads into the regions held by Germanic tribes, the area that became modern-day Germany. This wasn’t just an oversight on Rome’s part or a carelessly missed opportunity. It happened because of one man, Arminius, and the Battle of Teutoburg Forest in 9 A.D.

When he was a child, the Romans conquered Arminius’s Germanic tribe and took him to Rome as a hostage to ensure that his father, a tribal chief, would behave. Arminius was treated well and eventually achieved the rank of equestrian in the Roman military, but his loyalty was never to Rome.

Eventually, Arminius fled Rome, made his way back to his tribe, and taught the men Roman fighting tactics. When the legions attacked in Teutoburg Forest, his men, rather than engaging in pointless tribal skirmishes against the disciplined Roman troops, used the Romans’ own tactics against them and won. (By the way, that’s also what happened with Patriot troops in America. They learned British military discipline and tactics, and they won.)

After WWII, Germans were no longer allowed to learn about Arminius (whose name is the German “Hermann”) lest they once again get too big for their lederhosen. That decision might have been a mistake.

In the 1950s and 1960s, the German character (disciplined and precise), combined with post-war American support, saw what came to be known as the Wirtschaftswunder, or economic miracle. Suddenly, West Germany exploded with one of the strongest economies in Europe. Even after the dislocations of reunification, Germany continued to be Europe’s economic dynamo, making it the most important nation, first, in the European Economic Community and, then, in the European Union.

However, underlying this success was a time bomb: German women weren’t having babies, a problem of both affluence and leftism. To augment the missing German labor force, the Germans entered into agreements with Turkey to bring in workers. Eventually, almost a million Turks ended up in Germany. And yes, they were ostensibly Muslim, but this was at a time when Turkey was a secular nation, so most assimilated well.

All might have continued to be sehr gut (very good), but for two 21st-century phenomena. First, Germany embraced climate change madness. In its lunatic bid to reduce greenhouse gases, it closed all its nuclear facilities by 2023 and is working to end its reliance on coal by 2030 (black coal) and 2038 (brown coal). The results have not been happy, with energy prices skyrocketing, and Germany having some of the highest household energy prices in the world.

Of course, the other thing that happened was that, in 2015, Angela Merkel, perhaps naively assuming that all Muslim immigrants would be like the secularized Turks of the 1960s, opened Europe’s doors to fundamentalist Muslims from the Middle East and Afghanistan. This has been a disaster. Although the German government does its best to hide the data, it’s apparent from the available information that rape and other forms of sexual assault have soared in a nation where women once felt safe on the streets.

While sexual crime is always at the heart of Muslim violence, it spirals into other crimes, as well. As a general matter, violent crime has increased significantly since 2015, and, while correlation and causation are not the same, they’re pretty tight in this instance.

Sometimes, the sexual crime sparks other violent assaults, as was the case when a Syrian migrant brutally attacked an American after he tried to protect a woman from a migrant assault. And the German government, driven by leftism and fear of Islam, is supine:

Things are so bad that the Deputy head of the German police union, Manuel Ostermann, has said that, on the current trajectory, Germany will become a Muslim culture under the control of what is essentially a Muslim mafia.

Inevitably, Stein’s law is coming true for Germany: “If something cannot go on forever, it will stop.” The region that stopped the Roman Empire and rose from the ashes to be an economic powerhouse will soon be replaced by a bankrupt Muslim caliphate.

The lead judge in the Court of Appeal challenge that overturned a decision to shut down a migrant hotel faces allegations of bias over his ties to far-left organisations and leftist political causes, including the socialist Fabian Society.

On Friday, the Court of Appeal ruled in favour of the Home Office against the Epping Council in Essex to reverse a High Court injunction to shut down the Bell Hotel amid protests sparked after an illegal migrant from Ethiopia was accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl in the town.

The Home Office sensationally argued that the concerns of residents over their safety were not “equal” to the government’s ability to fulfil its obligations under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) to house alleged asylum seekers. Representing the Home Office, Edward Brown KC claimed that there is a “national interest in ensuring vulnerable individuals, namely asylum seekers, are accommodated”.

Ruling in favour of the government, Lord Justice Bean said that local concerns of safety are “clearly outweighed… by the undesirability of incentivising protests, by the desirability in the interests of justice of preserving the status quo for the relatively brief period leading up to the forthcoming trial and by the range of public interest factors which we have discussed in our judgement.”

A temporary injunction that would have blocked asylum seekers from being housed at the Bell Hotel in Epping, Essex, has been overturned at the Court of Appeal.

The decision was a major victory for the left-wing government as it seeks to continue to house over 30,000 supposed asylum seekers — many of whom entered the country illegally over the English Channel — in hundreds of hotels across the country. It also represents a significant blow to the numerous other local councils planning legal action to shut down migrant hotels in their communities.

However, leading barrister Steven Barrett has filed a formal complaint to the Judicial Conduct Investigations Office, arguing that Lord Justice Bean “should not have heard the Bell Hotel appeal” given his apparent conflicts of interest with pro-mass migration groups, according to The Telegraph.

Barrett pointed to Lord Justice Bean being a founding member of the Matrix Chambers, a London-based law firm, which the barrister claimed is “firmly associated with advocacy in favour of allowing migrants to stay.”

Among other prominent lawyers involved in Matrix Chambers, he noted, is Cherie Blair KC, the wife of former Labour Party Prime Minister Tony Blair, who instituted many of the so-called human rights reforms which have been used to prevent successive governments from removing migrants from Britain.

“Lord Justice Bean erred, in failing to properly consider, or if not fail to consider, fail to properly apply, the test of ‘apparent bias’,” Barrett said.

The barrister also highlighted Lord Justice Bean’s 28 years of membership in the Labour Party and his status as a former chairman of the socialist Fabian Society, which he said “advocates in favour of migrants”.

Indeed, in a collection of essays published by the socialist think tank in 2019, now Foreign Secretary David Lammy — then a Labour MP — called for “an amnesty for undocumented migrants, an end to the indefinite detention of asylum seekers and the guarantee of the right to appeal immigration decisions from within the UK” to bring about a “more
just immigration system that works not just for migrants but for society as a whole.”

The Fabian Society, founded in 1884, became a major political force in Britain under the government of Tony Blair, having boasted of sending over 200 MPs — including Blair cabinet members — to the House of Commons following his 1997 landslide victory.

Named after the Roman general Quintus Fabius, renowned for his strategy of delaying attacks on Hannibal to chip away and weaken the Carthaginians gradually, the Fabian Society has also adopted a gradualist, long march through the institutions approach for instituting a leftist agenda in Britain. Although it was since abandoned, the original coat of arms for the group was a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

In a cruel twist of history, France, the self-proclaimed cradle of the Enlightenment and freedom, has turned into a regime where democracy is nothing more than a mask, concealing a dictatorship that is still in its infancy but nonetheless unflinching. It is not a dictatorship of boots and uniforms; it is a hushed tyranny, judicial and institutional, crushing any hint of real change under the weight of its legal trappings.

I. France, a formal dictatorship: the judicial elimination of opponents

In a democracy, elections are the inviolable sanctuary of the popular will. In the France of 2025, justice, like a partisan guillotine, falls on opposition figures with surgical precision, rendering them supposedly too disqualified to compete. Examples reveal a damning pattern: searches (National Rally party), convictions (François Fillon, Marine Le Pen, Nicolas Sarkozy), smear campaigns (Éric Zemmour).

On March 31, 2025, the Paris Criminal Court sentenced Marine Le Pen to five years of electoral “ineligibility” with immediate effect, in the so-called European parliamentary assistants case. This sentence, described by the defendant as a “witch hunt”, bars the frontrunner in the polls from standing in the 2027 French presidential election.

The aim of this maneuver is clear: to remove the opposition leader from competing for the highest office in the land. The judges justified their decision on the grounds of misappropriation of European funds for the party’s national activities. Money it seems, intended for the party’s operations at European level was instead used by the national party in France. That is the whole story. It is a far cry from a violent crime or personal enrichment. No personal enrichment on the part of Le Pen was ever found. The timing of this ruling and the provisional exorbitant enforcement, betray the manipulation of the justice system by her opponents.

This is not an isolated case. The legal persecution of Le Pen’s National Rally is far from over. On July 9, 2025, in Paris, around 20 police officers from the financial brigade, accompanied by two investigating judges, raided the headquarters of the National Rally at dawn as part of a new investigation supposedly into illegal campaign financing. During the raid, accounting documents, correspondence, laptops, hard drives and servers were seized, all targeting the financing of the party’s recent campaigns. Apparently, they included loans granted by individuals and some alleged overcharging to obtain undue reimbursements from the state. The Paris public prosecutor’s office said that the investigation aimed to determine whether these practices constituted fraud, aggravated money laundering, or forgery.

The president of the National Rally party, Jordan Bardella, denounced the operation as “spectacular”, “relentless” and a “serious attack on the pluralism of the political system and democratic alternation.” Bardella said he believes that “no opposition party has ever been treated like this under the Fifth Republic.”

Also in July 2025, another case unrelated to the previous two, involving €4.3 million in European funds misused by the Identity and Democracy Group, of which the National Rally was a member, was threatening the integrity and reputation of the party.

National Rally leaders are crying foul, not without reason: are these operations really aimed at ensuring the proper use of public funds, or are they paving the way for the National Rally to be outlawed? The pattern is chilling: weaken, discredit and potentially dissolve the main rival of the alliance between the moribund Macron camp and the Islamo-leftist forces of the France Unbowed party. Macron’s Renaissance party had earlier allied itself with the France Unbowed party to “block” the main opposition force – Le Pen’s National Rally.

Since 2017, militant magistrates have become emboldened. On January 25, 2017, in what will probably go down in history as the inaugural act of this judicial jihad, the satirical weekly, Le Canard Enchaîné revealed the fictitious jobs of the wife of candidate François Fillon and his children as “parliamentary assistants.” A preliminary investigation was opened — that same day — against the poll favorite for the presidential election by the National Financial Prosecutor’s Office. Fillon, charged with embezzlement of public funds, saw his campaign collapse. He fell from 26% in the polls in January, to 20% in the first round. Behind Macron and Le Pen, he was immediately eliminated. Without the Financial Prosecutor’s Office, Emmanuel Macron would most likely never have become president.

Sentenced in 2020 to five years in prison, including two without parole, Fillon announced that there had been a “media-judicial conspiracy”. As with Marine Le Pen, the justice system did not merely punish; it changed the course of the election, depriving the right of a winning candidate.

To be clear: what Fillon did was stupid and despicable. But Fillon is part of a “long tradition,” as La Tribune puts it. Before 2017, around 20% of MPs employed a family member as an assistant, with no real checks and balances. This served to circumvent party financing limits or to “place” relatives. Fillon’s legal fate — an investigation opened on the same day as the press article, extreme speed, constant communication with the left-wing media — is exceptional. This exceptionality decided the outcome of the 2017 presidential election, favoring the left-wing candidate Macron.

In 2022, Éric Zemmour, another figure on the “right,” was convicted of inciting “racial hatred”, tarnishing his campaign. These cases form a continuum: the form of a democracy is preserved, but the substance is corrupted by a politicized justice system that determines guilt — but only on the “right.”

II. France, a substantive dictatorship: the judge-legislator

Beyond appearances, the unlikely French dictatorship of the 21st century is embodied in its laws and regulations. Even when a right-wing or centre-right majority, with the cooperation of the centre-left, manages to pass a law that strikes at the totems of the left – egalitarianism, multiculturalism, punitive taxation, environmentalism, open borders, the sanctity of Islam – the guardians of the temple of the “never right” – the Constitutional Council and the Council of State – swiftly destroy it.

Such was the case with the recent immigration law of January 2024. Adopted under the leadership of a right-of-center Senate majority, this law tightened immigration quotas, restricted social assistance to foreigners and facilitated deportations. On January 25, 2024, the Constitutional Council struck down 35 of the 86 articles, 32 of them in their entirety were the additions made by the “right.” Among the provisions struck down – in particular for procedural irregularities – were the most “controversial” ( to the “left”) in the Senate: annual immigration quotas, abolishing or restricting the AME (free healthcare for undocumented migrants), tightening residence permits (for students, illness, family reunification), limiting social benefits, ending the abolition of personalized housing assistance (APL) and conditions for nationality. The result? A law stripped of its substance, preserving the multiculturalist and open borders dogma of the left.

On August 7, 2025, the Constitutional Council declared that Article 2 of the so-called Duplomb law, which aimed to facilitate, to a limited extent, the work of farmers, was unconstitutional. The Constitutional Council singled out, in particular, Article 1 of the Environmental Charter, which enshrines the right of everyone to “live in a healthy and balanced environment” — which is actually a political program, not a right.

According to Jean-Eric Schoettl, former secretary general of the Constitutional Council:

“Tabled in November 2024 by 185 senators in response to the needs of French agriculture — and to the demands expressed by farmers in the spring of 2024 — the ‘Duplomb-Ménonville’ bill was adopted by a large majority in Parliament. Its aim was to ‘remove constraints on the practice of farming’ in accordance with European legislation, which is the most protective in the world.”

Article 2 purported to introduce an extremely limited, restricted and monitored loosening of the ban on neonicotinoid pesticides, including acetamiprid. The Constitutional Council considered that the reintroduction of these substances – which are legal throughout Europe – was not sufficiently “regulated” in terms of conditions of use, duration or the nature of the sectors concerned. This decision was purely opportunistic, and therefore political, rather than a legal, judgement. Its main consequence, apart from emasculating the will of the parliament as well as the majority, is to euthanize industries in France while products treated with the same molecule are imported on a massive scale from abroad.

A revealing detail: the appeal to the Constitutional Council against the Duplomb law was lodged by far-left MPs from the France Unbowed party and the Communist Group (GDR). The same goes for the Council of State, the armed wing of the ruling caste, which rails every day against any initiative that in any way deviates from the dogmas and interests of the ruling caste and its “left-wing” values.

Philippe Fontana, a lawyer and essayist, denounced “the worrying drift in the Council of State’s case law on migration,” and explained that by approving public funding for associations that promote illegal migration to France, the Council of State is taking a moralizing stance that is legally nonsensical and diametrically opposed to the wishes and expectations of the overwhelming majority of French people: 70% of French people want a tougher immigration policy.

These court rulings form an impenetrable wall: an elected majority can vote, but the “wise” guardians of the left ensure that nothing passes that offends egalitarianism, environmentalism or the dogma of open borders.

Dictatorship in France

In France, sadly, democracy, has become nothing more than an illusion: the people vote, but the bureaucracy blocks the will of the voters. The end of this damning picture is a formal dictatorship through the removal of opponents, a substantive dictatorship through the obstruction of laws.

The new dictatorship appears based on a single ideology and the gradual suppression of freedoms and subverting the constitutional order in favor of a supposedly superior caste, whose contours, methods and appetites are reminiscent of what our American friends call the “deep state” – self-appointed bureaucrats running your life behind the scenes, where there is no transparency, accountability or readily available means to remove them.

Faced with this formal and substantive dictatorship, the French people are regaining their full natural and conventional rights — Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, August 26, 1789 — to resist oppression.

Will they make use of it? The history of the last two centuries indicates not without pressure. If they did, the ruling caste theoretically would repress their revolt with ferocity, thereby revealing the true nature of its hold.

A lesbian Anglican “priest” who “married” a woman received the Holy Eucharist after dipping the Host in the Blood of Christ during a recent Mass in Mexico. Throughout the liturgy, she also stood alongside a Catholic prelate and appeared to “concelebrate” the liturgy.

Canadian “pastor” Emilie Teresa Smith came down to Mexico for a Mass on August 26 with Bishop Emeritus Raúl Vera López, OP, at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Saltillo.

Smith is involved in Latin American “ecumenical” activities and previously appeared vested in liturgical vestments in March, causing controversy.

She “married” another woman, Patti Powell, in 2018 and regularly posts pro-LGBT content on social media.

The Mass, which can still be seen on Facebook, shows Smith standing next to the prelate throughout and sitting next to his presider’s chair. “During the liturgy, Ms Smith, wearing a stole (a liturgical vestment), joined in parts of the Eucharistic Prayer, whispered words of consecration, raised her hand in blessing and elevated the chalice containing the Precious Blood of Christ,” the Catholic Herald reported. LifeSiteNews also observed that Smith appeared to be wearing a white clerical collar.

Smith also appeared to read the Gospel, which is reserved for deacons and priests, and give a homily. She also kissed the altar at the end of Mass.

López defended his inclusion of a female “pastor” during Mass and attacked those who criticized his actions.

“They talk about sacrilege, heresy, indecency, indiscipline, laziness. Please, it’s common sense!! She carries her stole everywhere she travels around the world,” the bishop wrote.

The bishop also criticized “people who pretend to be Christians, [who] wrote insulting things to us on different social networks,” and cited Pope Francis’ “climate change” encyclical Laudato si’ to justify his decision.

All this prompted the titular bishop of the Diocese of Saltillo to call me. He knows that the Mass is recorded and I repeated the context in which the Emilie Teresa Smith visit is given. But by the way, not only does she work with the poor, she has a parish, has a theological background, she is a writer, she is qualified to participate in a meeting of the United Nations and with God’s people, around the defense of our Mother Earth, but besides all that her homily yesterday was excellent.

I hope that the community through my homily and through my word to the press, can understand what this is about. The “concelebration” of Mass by a female Anglican “priest” raises several canonical issues.

Canon law forbids the reception of the Holy Eucharist, which Catholics know is the true Body and Blood of Christ, by non-Catholics.

Canon 702 states: “Catholic priests are forbidden to concelebrate the Divine Liturgy with non-Catholic priests or ministers.”

Canon 907 states: “In the eucharistic celebration deacons and lay persons are not permitted to offer prayers, especially the eucharistic prayer, or to perform actions which are proper to the celebrating priest” and Canon 908 makes clear: “Catholic priests are forbidden to concelebrate the Eucharist with priests or ministers of Churches or ecclesial communities which do not have full communion with the Catholic Church.”

Sadly, heretical ministers have often joined in appearing to concelebrate Catholic Masses, as documented by LifeSiteNews.

The Catholic Church teaches that homosexual behavior is mortally sinful and intrinsically evil and that homosexual inclinations are “objectively disordered,” in accordance with Sacred Scripture and the constant Tradition of the Church.

The Church also definitively teaches that women cannot be validly ordained as priests.

Boycott initiatives against Israel by Western progressives are no novelty. Italy’s leftist intelligentsia is no different in this respect. From open endorsements of  the ‘selfie yacht’ mission to ‘break the siege of Gaza’ to calls for the rejection of Israel-produced medicines, and the campaign to exclude two actors from the Venice Film Festival for their support of Israel in its war against Hamas, the instances of virtue-signalling are almost endless. But what a Palermo university professor did earlier this week took the anti-Israel activism to the next level.

“Let’s start making our Jewish friends feel alone; let’s unfriend them on Facebook,” Luca Nivarra, professor of law at the at the University of Palermo proposed.

Nivarra’s shocking post on Facebook literally referenced a “Palestinian Holocaust,” telling his followers that the gesture of removing their Jewish friends from among their followers could be “a signal, however modest,” and stressed the unfriending should include all Jewish acquaintances, “even the ‘good ones’ who declare themselves disgusted by what the Israeli government and the IDF are doing.”  

Nivarra, who by the way in 2017 was arrested by the Guardia di Finanza, the Italian law enforcement authority dealing with financial crime,  on charges of embezzlement and forgery according to Corriere della Sera, also said in his diatribe on social media that “they,” supposedly all (Italian) Jews, “lie, and with their lies, they help cover up the horror: it’s a small, tiny thing, but we’re starting to make them feel alone, face to face with the monstrosity to which they are complicit.”

The rector of Palermo University, Massimo Midari, immediately distanced himself from Nivarra, stating that “His proposal risks fuelling the very dynamics he claims to want to counter. On complex issues such as the conflict in the Middle East, the path forward must be one of dialogue and critical debate, not isolation and what approaches ideological censorship.”

But the university has in fact been wishy-washy over the Israel-Hamas war, adopting the stance of condemning ‘both sides,’ with the University’s Senate and Board of Directors approving several motions on the conflict in Palestine, “condemning both the brutal and senseless attack by Hamas on October 7th and Israel’s subsequent military action in Gaza.”

Midari did add, however, that “Nivarra’s appeal” is far from the university’s principles, stating that it is “a dangerous initiative.”

Italian minister in charge of higher education, Anna Maria Bernini said the rector’s statement is a “clear and necessary distancing from unacceptable statements.” Bernini nailed down that the professor’s statements offend “not only the Jewish people but all those who recognize the values ​​of respect and civil coexistence.”

Of course, as all terrorism apologists on the Left, Nivarra has since also claimed his post was not antisemitic, arguing, again, typically for progressives, that criticizing “Israelis”cannot be equated with antisemitism. And, as an ultimate argument, the professor even cited to Corriere della Sera his membership in the (since mercifully defunct) Italian Communist Party “since the 1970’s” as proof that he cannot be an antisemite…

The director of a pro-pedophile activist group has allegedly been arrested in Norway and charged with the rape of two children under the age of 14. The man, who has remained unnamed in Norwegian press but is known as “Charlie” online, was reportedly a primary school teacher in Rogaland and was arrested on July 9.

According to local news reports, Charlie was remanded to custody, placed under a contact ban, and held in isolation for the first two weeks of his four-week detention period. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge of raping a minor, but was found in possession of child sexual abuse materials. Under Norwegian law, the sexual abuse of children under the age of 14 is treated as a serious criminal offense and can carry severe penalties.

Charlie was released from police custody on August 13 and is awaiting trial, according to a co-director of the Virtuous Pedophiles (VirPed) group who calls himself Markus, and allegedly admitted to law enforcement that he had sexually abused a child “several years ago.”

Members of the online pro-pedophile community have stated that at least one of the incidents of sexual abuse for which Charlie is charged occurred at a “MAP community conference.”

Virtuous Pedophiles (VirPed) is a group founded in 2012 that purports to seek the de-stigmatization of pedophilia in order to facilitate “harm prevention and personal support.” Members acknowledge that they have a sexual attraction to children, but claim to want lead normal productive lives without abusing children. The group has repeatedly claimed they have a “commitment to non-offending” and position themselves as a resource for journalists, academics, and public education on pedophilia.

The charges leveled against the VirPed director stand in direct opposition to the group’s stated goals, and calls into question the group’s claims about its own operations.

On a page titled, “I Am an Adult Pedophile,” the VirPed site reads: “Don’t panic. You are a pedophile, but it’s only a part of who you are. You are not alone. There are a lot of people like you who have this attraction and still go on to live satisfying lives and never try to seek sexual activity with a child. Your attraction does not make you a bad person, and you did not choose to be a pedophile either.”

However, Charlie is being discussed sympathetically within the VirPed community despite the charges against him.

“My heart goes out to him,” wrote one forum member, known as gwenisgone, who has listed their “age of attraction” as being between 1 to 12 years old. “It’s been difficult dealing with this news ever since I found out, but I firmly believe Charlie to be a good and upstanding person. This will be an incredibly difficult time for him and our community. What’s important is that we stand together and support each other through this process.”

A German man who calls himself Consuela added, “I hope everything goes well for him and these accusations go away with nothing found, he is such a nice guy.”

Forum moderator Paddy Hopf said, “I am a moderator on VirPed, doing this good work, and now my boss has been arrested on charges of going against the tenets of the organization… VirPed will not die. We are like cockroaches. We are small in a world that is out to get us, but we’re too pervasive and resilient to be put down.”

The incident has been the subject of debate within one of the internet’s longest-running pro-pedophile forums, BoyChat, where men gather to discuss their sexual attraction to underage boys. BoyChat, which has been in operation since 1995, was founded by a self-described “boy lover” and operates as a network for men to connect and discuss their pedophilic interest in boys as well as strategies for promoting the normalization of pedophilia.

Men involved in the BoyChat community share tips on how to avoid law enforcement and advocate for sexual offending against minors. The terms “pro-contact” and “no contact” or “anti-contact” are used to differentiate between those who believe sex with minors should be legalized and those who claim to avoid acting on their urge to abuse.

On July 16, user John Holt announced that VirPed director Charlie had been arrested, while suggesting that BoyChat members should err on the side of “caution.”

“In Norway, lolisho is illegal,” he stated, referring to lolicon and shota, two forms of Japanese illustrated child pornography. “He may have been arrested off the back of a coercive parent’s personal grievance and then they found cartoons.”

The responses from BoyChat members were varied, but several users have expressed a view that it is impossible to be a non-offending pedophile.

“It would be nice if [pro-contact] pedophiles were more conciliatory and welcoming towards their mistaken VirPed brethren, especially when a VirPed has failed to live up to their own overly ascetic ideals,” wrote Errant on August 1. “Show them that it’s not all fire and brimstone and ideological puritanism and that it’s OK to come over to our side of the pool.”

User Fragment wrote on July 16, “I think it’s much worse when an anti-c offends… both ethically and in terms of optics. As a pro-c, my crimes were basically committed in alignment with my own sense of values and right and wrong. But an anti-c committing those same crimes is violating their own deeply held code. My conscience is clean, theirs is not…. It’s funny how the ‘children can’t consent’ meme is so strong in VirPed culture that no one is even talking about where it might’ve been a willing or unwilling encounter.”

In 2022, Reduxx became aware that a UK-based member of VirPed had been placing letters within books at public libraries. The letters pleaded for more tolerance towards “non-offending pedophiles.” The man behind the campaign, who calls himself Bly Rede, had the year before been promoted by Candice Christiansen, a sex-addiction therapist who serves on the United Nations Human Trafficking Task Force, on her show titled “The Prevention Podcast.” Christiansen is the creator of the website The Global Prevention Project, where she has published submissions from self-professed pedophiles.

Similarly, members of both the VirPed and BoyChat forums have been solicited as participants in academic research.

In 2023, Reduxx learned that a researcher at McGill University in Canada had been conducting a survey aimed at gaining insight from “child lovers” in online pedophile communities, including BoyChat. The survey featured images of naked children and asked participants to rate their attraction. Psychology PhD researcher Julia Levitan’s survey, titled “Nature and Correlates of Romantic Attraction to Children,” asked respondents whether they identify as transgender, non-binary, or genderqueer.

The Lucy Faithfull Foundation, a UK-based child protection charity dedicated exclusively to preventing child sexual abuse praises the Virtuous Pedophile community on its official website, where the charity has given VirPed a rating of “pioneering.”

“The work of Virtuous Pedophiles has been supported by a range of professionals including academic researchers in the psychology field,” reads the charity’s statement, before linking to a series of testimonials posted on the VirPed website.

The group has also been covered positively in dozens of mainstream media outlets. In 2014, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation offered them praise in a profile titled “Virtuous Pedophiles Group Gives Support Therapy Cannot.”

One notable endorsement of VirPed comes from Ray Blanchard, a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. Blanchard has helped to devise protocols and guidelines used internationally via his work with the American Psychiatric Association, which publishes the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (DSM). Blanchard served on the DSM-4 Subcommittee on Gender Identity Disorders in the early 1990’s, and was again appointed to the DSM-5 Working Group on Gender and Sexual Identity Disorders.

Of VirPed, Blanchard said: “People do not choose to be attracted to children or adults any more than they choose to be attracted to males or females. Not all pedophiles are child molesters (or vice versa). Child molesters are defined by their acts; pedophiles are defined by their desires. There are pedophiles and hebephiles who never act on their sexual attraction towards children. They cannot be blamed for what they feel, and they should be supported for the constant self-restraint they must exercise in order to behave ethically. I support Virtuous Pedophiles in its efforts to reduce child sexual abuse by helping pedophiles to never molest children.”

Blanchard was also responsible for the DSM-5 entry for pedophilia, which distinguishes a difference between a “pedophilic sexual interest” and a “pedophile disorder,” and conferred with self-described “MAP” activists associated with a group called B4U-Act.

B4U-ACT has campaigned for years to change and ultimately eliminate the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) entry on pedophilia. During a 2011 symposium titled “Pedophilia, Minor-Attracted Persons, and the DSM: Issues and Controversies,” hosted by B4U-ACT, co-founder Richard Kramer – who uses a pseudonym to conceal his identity – used results of anonymous surveys conducted with the participation of members of B4U-ACT in an attempt to establish that pedophilia is an innate identity that emerges in childhood.

While former B4U-Act co-founder Melsheimer died in 2010, the co-founder and current head of B4U-ACT, Kramer, also has a long history of pro-pedophilia lobbying and has admitted to having a sexual attraction to boys.

Prior to his involvement with B4U-ACT, Kramer operated a website called the Male Homosexual Attraction to Minors Information Center, which advocates favorably for what Kramer describes as “feelings of sexual attraction that some men have for underage boys.” The website notes a previous symposium addressing the issue of removing “gender identity disorder and the paraphilias” from the DSM, a move which would ultimately amount to de-pathologizing harmful forms of sexual behavior.

Another director at VirPed, “Sammy Jenkis,” posted a public apology to the group in May stating that he had “violated” the “physical and personal boundaries” of a “young adult” at a “MAP community conference” hosted by B4U-Act.

“My actions after a party at the B4U-Act conference had me betray everything we stand for… a young adult was there, I was there, and I violated physical and personal boundaries. I ignored consent.”

This year’s “minor-attracted person” conference was held from May 2 to 4 in Ohio and was titled, “Demystifying and Thriving: Understanding MAPs and Fostering Fulfilling Lives.“

Goals for the conference included promoting “affirming, compassionate care for MAPs,” and continuing with a trend from previous years, professional social workers were encouraged to attend, with the promise of receiving Continuing Education Units (CEUs), which are credits earned by attending approved training, workshops, online courses, and other professional development activities.

The story of the Scottish lass arrested for brandishing a knife and axe in the face of a migrant who was apparently threatening and taunting her swept through the West. This bold young woman symbolized the fighting spirit of those who are sick and tired of having their governments flood their countries with hostile Muslim migrants who act like conquerors, entitled to lodging, food, and rape. After a day or so of stunned silence, though, the British establishment has struck back with a story of an innocent Bulgarian couple threatened and taunted by a crazed teen.

The question, then, is where does the truth lie? For those who have seen the British government’s hostility to the Britons, the answer seems clear.

Seeing that video, people understood the following: a group of very young teenage girls in a rundown part of the Scottish city of Dundee were being harassed by a foreign man. They were urging him to stay away, but when he kept stalking them with his phone, one of them displayed her weapons to let him know that the girls weren’t helpless.

If the man were a decent person, he would never have been stalking them with a phone. Instead, he encouraged her to show the knives, knowing that the girl would be arrested, while he, being a foreigner (and possibly a Muslim), would get a pass for what was, at a minimum, harassment with a pedophilic edge.

That narrative tied in perfectly with a nation that had the Grooming Gang scandal, which saw Muslim men abuse thousands of British girls (and some boys), while the authorities turned a blind eye, and that’s been flooded with aggressive Muslim immigrants who have caused the rape rate to soar. Thus, in the whole of 2014, before Germany’s Angela Merkel opened Europe’s borders to the Muslim world, the UK had 26,703 reported rapes. Last year, in just the first three quarters of 2024, Britain had 69,958 reported rapes.

One X user named Aesthetica claims to have spoken to the people involved and gotten the full story—which jibes completely with the tenor of the short video:

I spoke with the mom of one of the girls (Mayah) and got the entire story that the media is covering up and lying about.

So first of all, the reporting got the names of the girls mixed up. There were 3 girls who were there who were accosted and attacked by the migrants. 

Lola – Lola is the hero from the video. She’s the one with the axe defending her sister from the migrant attackers

Ruby – Lola’s older sister who was attacked and hospitalized

Mayah – Ruby’s best friend who was with them and went to call the police after Ruby was attacked by the migrants 

Here’s the summary of what happened from Mayah’s mother: 

“Yes. So what happened was the girls where out just walking and the man in the picture made comments to lola(the younger girl) calling her sexy and other sexual remarks then the girls started to tell this man to leave them alone and stop following them and making sexual remarks to them. After that the man’s sister (also in the picture) came around the corner and physically attacked ruby(the older sister) she grabbed her hair dragged her to the floor started to punch her then both the man and woman where kicking her in head while she was on the floor. At this point my daughter (mayah) called the police so my daughters account after that is all abit blurry.  But that is when lola had the weapons she pulled them out to protect ruby. After that the man came back at lola recording her making sure she showed the weapons to the camera and antagonising her. Ruby was hospitalised after the attack with a severe concussion a tennis ball sized lump to the back of her head aswell as lots of bruises.”

In response to commenters questioning why the girls were well-armed, Aesthetica explained that this wasn’t the first time migrants “attacked and accosted” them. The GiveSendGo that Aesthetica has established has already raised £73,614 ($99,415).

Of course, there’s no way to know whether Aesthetica’s version of events is true or if the GiveSendGo is legitimate. There is nothing to augment this report, including information about a girl sent to the hospital with a concussion. It’s currently unverified hearsay.

What’s interesting, though, is that the establishment is pushing back with a counternarrative that paints the girls as youthful thugs who attacked a helpless and pure Bulgarian couple.

Thus, under a BBC photo showing not only the girl’s face but also her scary weapons blurred out, the BBC reports that Scottish police are fighting back against “misinformation.” The truth, per the police and the BBC, comes with minimal details: “The force said a Bulgarian couple – a man and a woman – were approached by youths in St Ann Lane, Lochee, at about 19:40 on Saturday.”

The Daily Mail, which used to be a vaguely conservative (by British standards) rag, but is now virulently anti-Trump, purports to tell “the truth” about the innocent Bulgarian man and to show “how wrong rabble rousers Elon Musk and Tommy Robinson were.”

According to the Daily Mail,

…the man being threatened is a family man who has been living in the UK for four years – and who was accompanied by his wife on the way to the shops when the incident occurred.

Far from being fresh off a cross-channel small inflatable, as implied by Robinson and Musk, Fatos Ali Dumana, 21, says he came to Britain legally from Bulgaria and he and his wife have an eight-month-old baby.

‘I never touched her. I didn’t hit her, I swear on my life, I have a baby now. I would never hurt someone.

‘If she’s only 12 why was she messing with me and having weapons?

‘I was going to the shop and she was stopping me going on my way. ‘If I did hurt the girl, why didn’t the police arrest me?

There are more protestations of innocence, with the most interesting being that there is CCTV camera footage (and Britain is the most heavily CCTV’d nation in the once-free world) proving his story. The police, however, won’t release any CCTV footage.

The Daily Mail adds that the story saw “former Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf [a Muslim] state: ‘Who would have guessed the far right were full of bulls***.’” His wife, incidentally, is the spokesman for the Dundee council, and she attacked the Musk/Robinson narrative:

“This is deeply concerning for many reasons.

“Everyone has the right to feel safe in our streets.

“It is also clear that elements of the far right are attempting to hijack this incident to spread a racist, anti-immigration agenda.

“This is both dangerous and divisive, and it threatens the cohesion of our communities.

“Here in Dundee, we will not allow this to take root. The facts of the incident have been provided by our police service.”

Back to the Daily Mail, it explains that Dumana is a nice young man, gainfully employed, who’s been living in Dundee for four years with his wife and, now, his new baby. He allegedly even has a large cross tattoo on his neck, although, weirdly, the tattoo appears in only one photo, despite his neck being visible in multiple photos of this cool, hipster young man.

So, what’s the truth? I don’t know, and you don’t know. The authorities (presumably) know, but no one in their right mind trusts the British authorities anymore. Their decades-long contempt for the British people, which has only grown in the last few years, means that they are as reliable as Orwell’s fictional Big Brother was. However, relying on a lone X user for the truth is also a fool’s game.

Britain was once a very high-trust society. Sure, it had its criminals (and what Britain’s great crime writers, from Arthur Conan Doyle on, have done without them), but the British mostly trusted each other and the redoubtable Scotland Yard.
