Brutal attack on a ticket inspector (aged 34) in Dresden!

On Sunday at noon, a 23-year-old Syrian man allegedly stabbed a man with a knife after he was expelled from a bus for a missing ticket.

According to the newspaper BILD, the suspect initially left the bus stop “Alter Postweg” on Joseph-Keilberth-Straße after being ejected, but then returned with a bicycle and slashed a tyre of the bus.

When the inspector caught the man in the act and confronted him, he allegedly went berserk and stabbed him in the stomach! The Syrian fled by bicycle after the bloody deed, but was arrested a short time later in the vicinity.

The police are still keeping a low profile due to the ongoing investigation. “Emergency services found a man seriously injured at the bus stop. He was immediately taken to hospital,” a spokesperson said.

The investigators cordoned off the area around the bus stop and secured traces. Also on the flat tyre of the bus and on the bicycle of the suspected perpetrator. The police and the public prosecutor’s office are currently investigating the suspicion of an attempted homicide.
