Climate Extremists Now Endangering Lives in German Capital – Police Union
Radical climate activists in Germany are now endangering people’s lives in Berlin, the head of a police union in the city has said.
Green radicals in Berlin who are now routinely blocking roads are endangering the lives of the general public, the head of the city’s police union has claimed.
It comes after emergency services were delayed from reaching a woman with life-threatening injuries after a road traffic collision in the German capital.
According to a report on the incident by Bild, rescuers were severely delayed in reaching the location of a crash, which saw a woman badly injured after her bicycle collided with a cement mixer.
As a result of her injuries, a specialist rescue vehicle was called to the scene to treat the woman, however, an on-scene doctor was forced to improvise after the vehicle was significantly delayed by a climate change protest, which saw radical green extremists attempt to stick themselves to the pavement.
The driver is said to have also been injured, but only as a result of being stabbed by an unknown assailant after he reportedly exited his vehicle to check on the cyclist.
“Now at the latest you should say goodbye to the fairy tale of harmless protest,” Berlin Police Union spokesman Benjamin Jendro said regarding the incident.
The spokesman went on to say that any eco-extremist who continues to block roads now “consciously accepts” that they are putting lives at risk by making it so that “people in need have to wait longer for help from the police and fire brigade”.
Ultimately, the union rep accused the climate protesters of having “carelessly played with the health of the population” while giving no consideration to how their guerrilla tactics are affecting German society.
While unlikely to prevent climate protesters from glueing themselves to the pavement in the near future, the police union’s warning represents the latest increase in tensions between eco-extremists in Europe and the rest of society.
With such extreme methods of protest becoming an ever more frequent spectacle in the continent, many members of the general public appear to have lost their patience with the demonstrators, with videos of commuters dragging away protesters and ripping away signage seemingly becoming more common by the day.
Police in London were even forced to issue a plea to the public over the weekend urging the public to refrain from fighting activists, and instead call authorities instead to deal with any attempts at serious disruption in an attempt to curtail conflict between the climate protesters and other Britons.
Such a request appears to have fallen on deaf ears, with footage going viral on Monday of one unknown individual taking on a climate protester attempting to spray a UK government building with paint.
While the protester had been attempting to vandalise the MI5 building in London, the demonstrator too ended up with a new coat of paint after the alleged bystander turned the nozzle on the activist during the struggle.
Also vandalised by climate protesters on Monday were the UK Home Office, a Bank of England building, and the headquarters of media company News Corp.
Nepal: Hindu procession attacked by an Islamist mob in Mahottari, several people including police officials injured
On Thursday, October 27, a Hindu procession allegedly came under attack from a Muslim mob. Reportedly, following a dispute over a flag hoisting, the procession came under attack. Police had to resort to lathicharge and tear gas to bring the situation under control. In the preceding violence, several people as well as police officials were left injured.
According to the reports, the Islamists pelted stones at the Hindu procession and also attacked the Police who reached the spot to control the situation. The Islamists were enraged over the Hindus who participated in the procession for hoisting and swaying the flag during the procession. The Police imposed a lathi charge to disperse the violent Islamist mob that launched an attack on several police officers on October 27.
Authorities are maintaining an enhanced security presence in several parts of Mahottari District, Madhesh Province, following the violence. Reportedly, in response to the recent violence, the officials have imposed an indefinite curfew and restrictions on public gatherings in the areas including Bhangaha, Dharmapur, Loharpatti, and Parariya. The restrictions, however, do not apply to people who provide essential services.
Rajesh Yadav, president of Hindu Samrat Sena, described the incident in detail on Sudarshan News channel. Rajesh Yadav who is severely injured and has a bandage tied around his head, said that Parariya is Muslim dominant area. He added that the incident of stone pelting began as soon as the procession arrived in the region. He further asserted that the stone pelters included both Islamist men and women. According to Rajesh, about 20 Hindus were left with serious head injuries as a result of stone pelting.
Rajesh informed the media that this is not the first time that Hindu processions in the area have been attacked by the Islamists. “Earlier also there have been many incidents when Hindu procession have been attacked. Some people who belong to my community are not willing to stand by me in this fight”, he added.
The incident happened on October 27 when the Hindus conducted a religious procession to immerse the idol of the Hindu Goddess in the Bhangaha area of Nepal’s Mahottari district. As the procession passed through a Muslim-dominated area in the city, the Islamists objected to the procession and also over the flag that had been hoisted amid the procession. The Islamists then began pelting stones at the procession, injuring several Hindus. They also attacked the Police who had reached the spot to control the situation.
One of the members of the Hindu Samrat Sena named Dheeraj Mandal spoke to OpIndia to reveal that Islamists had planned to murder the national president of the organization, Rajesh Yadav. He also shared a video with us in which a group of Islamists could be heard talking about Yadav. He also shared a few videos of the violence that happened on October 27 in which Islamist women could be seen pelting stones at Hindus from the roofs.
According to Dheeraj, the population of Muslims in his district has increased to about 15 percent. Dheeraj also accused the governance and administration of Nepal and said that in every case, the government favours the Muslim community. Regarding ‘Hindu Samrat Sena’, Mandal said that they have attained no support over the incident even from the people belonging to their community. Dheeraj Mandal has shared another video with OpIndia in which hundreds of Muslim youths can be seen running with sticks in their hands.
Dheeraj said that the video is from October 27. The Islamists, as could be seen in the video, shouted slogans and also held green flags in their hands. “On that day Muslims surrounded Hindus and all the preparations were made to kill our chief Rajesh. Had some local people not supported us, our leader would have been killed that day”, he added.
Manju Mandal, a female member of the Hindu Samrat Sena of Nepal also spoke to OpIndia on the matter. She said that Islamists launched an attack on Hindus and no cases have been registered against them. Instead, cases have been registered against Hindus only. She stated that the local administration has issued an arrest warrant in the name of Rajesh Yadav.

A 30-year-old man who surrendered to police on Thursday after seriously injuring his mother with a knife to the neck has been charged with “attempted murder”, the Lille prosecutor’s office said on Monday.
“The person accused has admitted to the crime, which is said to have been committed for personal and religious reasons,” prosecutor Carole Etienne told AFP when asked about the alleged motives for the crime.

Greenpeace gives up on recycling plastic

Recycling almost everything is an uneconomic scam[i], but that hasn’t stopped many localities from enforcing recycling mandates, and employing lots of people to sort through garbage and spend large sums on trying to find another use for the materials. At great expense to taxpayers.
But finally, Greenpeace has realized that recycling plastic makes no sense. In City Journal, John Tierney writes:
Greenpeace has seen the light, or at least a glimmer of rationality. The group has issued a report accompanied by a press release headlined, “Plastic Recycling Is A Dead-End Street—Year After Year, Plastic Recycling Declines Even as Plastic Waste Increases.” The group’s overall policy remains delusional—the report proposes a far more harmful alternative to recycling—but it’s nonetheless encouraging to see environmentalists put aside their obsessions long enough to contemplate reality.
The Greenpeace report offers a wealth of statistics and an admirably succinct diagnosis: “Mechanical and chemical recycling of plastic waste has largely failed and will always fail because plastic waste is: (1) extremely difficult to collect, (2) virtually impossible to sort for recycling, (3) environmentally harmful to reprocess, (4) often made of and contaminated by toxic materials, and (5) not economical to recycle.” Greenpeace could have added a sixth reason: forcing people to sort and rinse their plastic garbage is a waste of everyone’s time. But then, making life more pleasant for humans has never been high on the green agenda.
As Tierney notes (and wrote about a quarter century ago), these problems long have been known. As I cope with the demands placed on my by Berkeley, I grumble that the wasted effort is a form of the medieval practice of corvee, forced uncompensated labor imposed on peasants to help build or maintain castle walls, roads, etc. And by being required to rinse all plastics, I am wasting water, which is a very precious commodity in California, and damn expensive, too
.
But if you are expecting Greenpeace to apologize for campaigning for these useless and expensive requirements, fuggehdaboutdit.
Greenpeace is making no apologies for the long campaign to foist it on the public, and the group is unashamedly pushing a new strategy that’s even worse. It proposes finally to “end the age of plastic” by “phasing out single-use plastics” through a “Global Plastics Treaty.” This is a preposterous goal—imagine “phasing out” disposable syringes—and would be laughable except that environmentalists have already made some progress toward it. They’ve found yet another way to harm both the environment and humans….
Being green means never having to say you’re sorry.

Scottish nationalists wrong about euro, would have to commit to single currency if rejoining EU, says Brussels
Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has been told by Brussels she is wrong to say an independent Scotland, separate from the rest of the United Kingdom, would be able to adopt its own currency if it were to rejoin the European Union.
The leader of the Scottish Nationalist Party (SNP), in her long-held campaign for Scottish independence, attempted to allay fears that Scotland would lose its economic sovereignty were it to rejoin the European Union as an independent member following any vote to leave the United Kingdom. She explicitly rejected using the euro, saying it was not “the right option for Scotland,” and told those concerned that Scotland would continue to use pound sterling in the immediacy before establishing its own currency.
However, Sturgeon’s plans have been knocked back publicly by officials in Brussels, who according to The Times newspaper insisted that all new members to the bloc must “legally commit” to join the euro single currency.
A spokeswoman for economic affairs at the European Commission told the Herald on Sunday that while “no timetable is prescribed,” individual countries are required to “calibrate their path towards the euro.”
Dr. Fabian Zuleeg, chief executive of the European Policy Centre in Brussels, explained that “all countries that join the European Union have to commit to the acquis communautaire, the body of law of the European Union.”
While Zuleeg acknowledged that certain member states such as Denmark and previously the United Kingdom had negotiated permanent opt-outs to the single currency, these were agreed from a starting point of existing EU membership. Zuleeg warned: “It would be much harder, if not impossible, for a new member to negotiate such a permanent opt-out. However, it might be possible to negotiate essentially a grace period.”
“All EU Member States, except Denmark, are required to adopt the euro and join the euro area,” states the European Commission website in no uncertain terms.
“In order to adopt the euro, EU countries have to bring their national legislation in line with relevant EU law and meet specific conditions designed to ensure economic convergence. These requirements, agreed by the EU Member States in Maastricht in 1991, are known as the convergence criteria,” it adds.
A number of countries, including Hungary, have not adopted the single currency yet because they do not meet the the criteria outlined in the Maastricht Treaty. All member states excluding Denmark have legally committed to adopting the euro although there is no formal timetable by which they must meet the necessary criteria.
Despite the Scottish people rejecting Sturgeon’s campaign for independence in a nationwide referendum back in 2014, the Scottish leader has continued to campaign for Scotland to leave the United Kingdom, and sought to put pressure on the British government in Westminster to sanction another vote following the U.K.’s withdrawal from the European Union.
