21-year-old Laura Paumier and 20-year-old Mauranne Harel are the latest victims of collective cowardice in the face of Islamic totalitarianism. Laura was a nursing student and involved in the scouts. Mauranne was a medical student.
The two cousins were killed on Sunday at the Saint-Charles train station in Marseille, one with her throat slit, the other with her stomach slashed. The killer, Ahmed Hanachi, shouted “Allah akbar” while stabbing with his knife. He was shot by a reservist on patrol. The Islamic State recognised him as one of its “soldiers”.
The 29-year-old Tunisian was in the country illegally. He had been arrested seven times since 2005 for petty crime without ever being deported. Two days before his murder, the villain had been arrested in Lyon for theft and then released. Laura and Mauranne died because the Republic and the beaurocrats had failed to protect their citizens from immigration and the conquering Islam that came with it.
