A Montreal man who has spent the majority of his life in prison for repeatedly sexually assaulting women is seeking a transfer to a female prison. Manfred Sperling, 58, began to self-declare a transgender status while behind bars and now blames his predatory behavior on his “dead self.”

Sperling is currently serving a life sentence at Millhaven Institution, a maximum-security prison for men. Since the age of 19, Sperling has been in and out of prison for committing sex crimes, and received his first conviction for sexual assault in 1986. One of his first victims was reportedly an 11 year-old girl, whom Sperling groped at a local gym.

Following his release in 1998, the predator went on a five-day sexual assault spree. At least four victims were identified, including a child. Sperling grabbed the 12 year-old girl from behind by the neck and told her, “I’ll rape you,” but the girl was able to escape the attack.

Two days after that incident, Sperling attempted to assault a 53 year-old woman at a mall as she was leaving her car. However, she was able to fend him off and fled. Just one hour later, according to local newspaper The Gazette, Sperling again targeted a woman in a parking lot, where he ordered her to strip naked and raped her.

Sperling also has a history of assaulting female prison staff. In 1997 the serial predator grabbed a female guard by the neck and shoved her onto his bed.

Psychiatrist Dr. Louis Morissette provided testimony during a court hearing in which he labeled Sperling “an extreme case” while requesting that he be classified as a dangerous offender.

In Canada, being designated a dangerous offender is the most severe sentence under the criminal code. It is a status intended for the country’s most violent and high-risk criminals. A judge must determine that the criminal in question demonstrates a pattern of brutal and repetitive behavior, coupled with an indifference for the consequences of their actions. Once a convicted criminal is declared a dangerous offender, their sentence can be indeterminate, with their release depending not on the completion of a prison term, but on the judgement of the court system.

Dr. Morrisette told the court that Sperling is obsessed with sexually assaulting and raping women, saying, “That’s all he has in mind.”

In 2020, Sperling began claiming to identify as a transgender woman, and he now calls himself Amanda Joy Cooper.

In 2024, he received plastic surgery on his chest, as well as genital surgery to invert his penis. Both surgeries, which totaled around $30,000 according to the CBC, were subsidized by taxpayers.

Next week a Federal Court will hear arguments seeking Sperling’s transfer to a women’s facility. His lawyer, Jessica Rose, claims Sperling should be sent to a women’s prison because he is now defined as a “female” according to Canada’s correctional policy, having undergone surgery.

Rose leveraged her claim by highlighting a 2022 Correctional Service of Canada commissioner’s directive which states that the sex of an offender “is determined solely by their current genitalia.”

“Her message to us and her message to the court is, ‘I’m a woman with a vagina in a men’s prison. You think I’m safe here?’” Cooper’s lawyer, Jessica Rose, told The New York Post.

“From our perspective, Amanda’s gender identity and her genitals align. She is physically a woman, she identifies as a woman,” Rose added.

Corrections Canada has so far rejected the requests for a transfer, citing Sperling’s history of developing “obsessive attachments” to female prison staff. According to prison authorities, his assaults on female guards makes him a “very high risk to the safety” to female inmates.

During his first year in prison, Sperling threatened to rape and murder female employees, which resulted in his transfer to a super-maximum men’s prison in Quebec.

Corrections Canada also pointed out that Sperling has not taken accountability for his crimes, but rather has pinned the blame on his “dead self,” referring to his male self and newly declared identity as though they were two different people.

Reporting on the upcoming hearing, national broadcaster CBC referred to Sperling by his chosen name, Cooper, and used feminine pronouns to refer to him.

“She underwent gender surgery in September 2024. She now has a vagina and breasts. She has no penis. Her correctional records now list her sex as female,” reports the CBC.

Data from Corrections Canada reveals that there have been 129 requests from male convicts seeking transfers to women’s prisons during the period between 2017 and 2025. Of that total, 35 requests have been approved.

During that period, Corrections Canada approved the transfer of a sadistic pedophile known as Adam Laboucan, or Tara Desousa, to a women’s prison. Like Sperling, Laboucan is designated as a dangerous offender and is serving an indeterminate sentence.

In 1997, Laboucan was convicted of the violent rape of a 3-month-old infant. The infant was so brutally injured by the attack that he had to be flown to Vancouver, 410 miles away, to undergo reconstructive surgery.

After committing the horrific assault, Laboucan “mutilated himself and ate his own flesh,” according to news reports.

Laboucan began identifying as transgender while incarcerated and is currently being held in a women’s correctional facility with a mother and child unit where he has been said to be leering at the children. After a female inmate approached him and demanded that he desist in his threatening conduct, Laboucan assaulted her, fracturing several of her ribs.

A report released by the Canadian Correctional Service in 2022 revealed that 82% of “gender diverse” prisoners with a history of sexual offending were men who identified as “trans women.” Almost all (94%) had committed their offences while “living as their biological sex.” The majority (85%) committed offences that caused death or serious harm to their victim(s) while 70% inflicted psychological harm on their victim(s). Examination of the victimology shows that over half were children (58%) or female (55%). One-third (33%) of the offences committed had multiple victims.

The migration situation in the Canary Islands has once again come under the spotlight due to alarming data about the ages of new arrivals. For Spain, this is more than mere statistics — it’s an issue of overwhelming the social system, rising tensions, and an urgent need to change how migrant flows are managed. New reports make it clear that the existing mechanisms are not keeping pace with reality, and the consequences are now being felt nationwide.

According to a source at RUSSPAIN.com, nearly half of the migrants initially registered as minors were found to be adults after medical tests. This was revealed during an investigation initiated by the European Parliament. Authorities in the Canary Islands reported that of approximately 1,500 people who underwent special examinations, a significant portion turned out to be over 18. This situation puts extra pressure on local services, as minors receive special protection and care.
The issue of returning migrants to their countries of origin remains virtually unsolvable. Morocco agrees to take back only 8% of its citizens who have arrived in the Canary Islands illegally. The rest remain on the islands, leading to overcrowded reception centers and resource shortages. Spanish authorities have repeatedly emphasized that without genuine cooperation with Morocco and other countries, the situation will not change. The European Union, meanwhile, is demanding that Spain implement more effective measures for returning migrants, but without the support of the countries of origin, these requirements remain only on paper.

The European Parliament report notes that many young people deliberately declare an age close to 18 to qualify for protection as minors. This enables them to avoid immediate deportation and gain access to social support. However, such actions result in genuine children being left less protected, and the system itself faces pressure due to a lack of places and specialists.

Another pressing issue is the allocation of financial resources. Despite the European Union allocating Spain 560 million euros to manage migration, the Canary Islands did not receive separate funding. Regional authorities are forced to use their own budget to cope with the influx of migrants. In recent years, almost 200 million euros from the local budget has been spent for these purposes. At the same time, decisions about relocating migrants across the country are made in Madrid, while all the burden falls on the Canaries.

European lawmakers emphasize that this approach violates the principle of fair responsibility sharing between regions and EU countries. As most underage migrants remain specifically in the Canary Islands, local schools and social services are overwhelmed. This causes discontent among residents and increases social tension.
The introduction of new rules for the legalization of migrants, proposed by the government of Pedro Sánchez, has sparked a strong reaction not only in Spain but also in other EU countries. Now, anyone who can prove they have been in the country for at least five months by the end of 2025 may be eligible for legalization. According to various estimates, this will affect between half a million and one million people. The European Commission has already expressed concerns that such measures could affect security and stability in the Schengen area.

The report also notes that the Frontex agency is not involved in patrolling the route to the Canary Islands, despite having offered its resources. Spain opted to limit Frontex’s support to temporary accommodation centers, raising questions among its European partners. This stance makes it more difficult to obtain additional assistance and casts doubt on calls for solidarity from other EU countries.

Commentator Vicky Richter jibed in response that “just when you thought Germany had exhausted every creative way to prostrate itself before ‘cultural sensitivity,’ McDonald’s arrives to prove there is always a lower floor,” adding: “Welcome to Islamic Capitalism™.”

Author Karina Mariani also suggested that “they could just not advertise and be done with it, or they could refuse to bow to these whims. But they choose the ridiculous middle ground: empty little boxes.”

Even Muslims are not happy. British aviation educator Mohammad Taher, who in 2023 was described as one of the top 50 most influential Muslims in Europe, even argued that “Muslims aren’t in support of this campaign,” saying this was because the brand “has been on the boycott list for the past two years since the start of the genocide”—referring, of course, to McDonald’s’ alleged support for Israel in its war against the Hamas terror group.

“A Ramadan campaign,” Taher added, “isn’t going to make people forget that.”

Two English churches set on fire at night within 24 hours must be a coincidence.

As it must be a coincidence that, during the same hours, a church in Germany was also set ablaze.

But if you look, you discover that churches in the United Kingdom have faced 3,237 criminal attacks, vandalism and arson between 2022 and 2024 (an average of 8 per day).

Even more, 3,700, are the number of the attacks against British Jews in a single year.

And then a coincidence looks more like a clue.

Perhaps it is a coincidence that since Brussels, capital of the EU, became Islamic, Sharia has begun to circulate. But it would be better to listen to the heir to the throne in Iran, Reza Pahlavi:

Internal assessments within British police had reported that local Islamists would have planned to “arm themselves” if the Israelis dared enter the city. Instead of confronting the serious Islamist threat, West Midlands police thus invented false intelligence information to ban the Israelis and appease those same extremists. A month before the match there had been the attack on the Manchester synagogue.

“Labour acts on fears that Muslims will not vote for the party over its stance on Gaza,” a headline in The Guardian.

The mayor of Lyon, Grégory Doucet, has meanwhile just tried to prevent the demonstration for Quentin Deranque, the young identitarian murdered by “antifascist” squad members, aides of the second largest party in France, the Insoumise. We are still in Lyon, in the third city where Muslims are 30 percent of the population, aren’t we?

It is all connected.

For the same reason, England refused to offer asylum to Asia Bibi because it could have caused “violent uprisings” from the English Muslim population.

Asia Bibi was the living definition of someone in need of asylum: a woman in danger, threatened with death, who spent ten years in prison for no other reason than following the Christian faith and being the object of a false and terrible accusation of “blasphemy against Muhammad.” London said “no” to her arrival in the United Kingdom because it “would risk inflaming community tensions.”

Instead, the demonstrators who were filmed waving the flag used by Al Qaeda, Al Shabab, Boko Haram, Jabhat al-Nusra, Hizb ut-Tahrir and the Islamic State during a march in central London “committed no offense,” British police ruled.

Whether it is all a coincidence or whether it is all connected, just as whether the famous “point of no return” has already been passed, it is up to the reader to decide.

In France, ahead of the municipal Paris elections in March, the Greens Party reportedly created a file specifying the sexual orientation of the candidates whom David Belliard, candidate for Mayor, was supposed to support in the capital.

According to interviews collected by 100% Frontières broadcast and revealed on the CNews station, the document comes with several boxes next to the candidates’ names, such as for “gender” or “diversity.”

Several party members reportedly said the list was drawn up using criteria related to sexual orientation, with some candidates allegedly being promoted “because they are homosexual”, journalist Jules Laurans said on 100% Frontières.

A source within the party also claimed that, among the Ecologists Party, “sexual orientation” is a determining factor.

The list was never acted on after David Belliard, the party’s chosen candidate, threw his support behind socialist Emmanuel Grégoire, who was polling at over 30 per cent for the first-round vote on March 15. The second round is due on March 22.

It appears that the list may not have been acting as a support for homosexual candidates. Sabrina Decanton, the Greens Party candidate in Saint-Ouen, a working-class area in Seine-Saint-Denis, on November 25 withdrew from the elections, denouncing what she said were homophobic remarks within her political party.

“For several months, I have been the target of homophobia,” she claimed.

“My sexual orientation is being treated as an obstacle to my candidacy and a potential victory, with some people believing it would be incompatible with the support of the neighbourhoods in my constituency, which are largely working-class,” she said at the time.

As lawmakers prepare to vote on the introduction of euthanasia and assisted suicide in France, protesters gathered on the evening of Tuesday, February 24th, in front of the National Assembly to peacefully protest what they consider to be a major anthropological upheaval for society. They were subjected to disproportionate police repression, with nearly 40 arrests.

The call for a spontaneous gathering was launched by Les Veilleurs, a pacifist movement that emerged during the mobilisation against gay marriage in 2013. At the time, it stood out for its peaceful protests: small numbers, no violent slogans, no militant marches, but simply candlelit gatherings to read texts borrowed from philosophy, religion, or literature celebrating life. Today, Les Veilleurs are peacefully opposing the legalisation of euthanasia. “They have a very original mode of action: they set up in a place, read texts, sing, and try to talk to passersby,” explains Jean Bexon, a journalist from Boulevard Voltaire, who was present at the scene.

A first gathering was held on Monday, February 23rd, just nearby, at Place de la Concorde, without provoking any major reactions. The gathering on February 24th, scheduled for 8 p.m., was, however, considered an unauthorised demonstration in a public place and surrounded by law enforcement, even though it did not block traffic. One protester described the security measures as “ludicrous,” with more police than protesters. As a sign of this disproportion, the BRAV-M—the motorised violent action repression brigade—was dispatched to the scene. This is an emergency unit set up in 2019 to respond to violence in the context of the yellow vest movement. Since its creation, the unit has been widely criticised in France and internationally for its excesses and use of violence. The BRAV-M seized a banner bearing a quote from the Catholic poet Charles Péguy.

Of the 50 or so participants, 37 were arrested and taken into custody at four Paris police stations, all in record time—a speed of action that was far from evident in the case of the murderers of young Quentin in Lyon a few days ago.

The police custody, which was supposed to last 24 hours, was finally lifted after a few hours for 35 of them, thanks to the intervention of two members of parliament. They are to be summoned again at a later date. According to the testimony of one of those arrested, posted on the Catholic blog Le Salon beige, the police officers were very considerate toward the demonstrators, obeying orders that they clearly did not approve of. Two are still in custody and are to be brought before a prosecutor.

A pro-remigration group has covered up Islamic “Happy Ramadan” lights with a banner reading “Blessed Lent” in the city of Freiburg, Germany.

Activists of the Identitarian movement (IB) carried out the action earlier this week and shared pictures of a banner online reading “Blessed Lent” (“gesegnete Fastenzeit”) with a small golden cross above the caption.

The federal spokesperson for the IB, Maximilian Märkl, shared the photo on X and wrote: “Islam does not belong in Germany! The state is misusing German taxpayers’ money for symbols of subjugation. Not on our watch!”

One day prior, an unknown person cut several cables on a Ramadan lighting set, according to media reports.

The city of Freiburg installed Ramadan lighting in public spaces for the first time this year. Among other things, illuminated signs with the words “Happy Ramadan” and “Ramadan Mubarak” are being displayed.

According to the city, the installation was intended to send a message of religious diversity and “good coexistence” during the Islamic month of daytime fasting. Mayor Martin Horn explained that the aim was to honor religious diversity and take a stand against discrimination. However, the city’s installation features no mention of Lent, which overlaps with the month of Ramadan this year.

Horn reacted to the activist hanging the banner: “We condemn the damage in the strongest possible terms. Such actions are aimed at division, but we will not allow that to happen.”

Speaking on behalf of Freiburg’s four mosque communities, Hüseyin Özbek emphasized: “We Muslims are an integral part of Freiburg.” He said that there is no place for hatred in the city and stressed the importance of respectful coexistence.

Freiburg Catholic priest Father Siegfried Huber commented on the issue: “We strongly support the openness towards all religions that already exists in Freiburg – and we clearly reject actions such as this. As a Christian church, we will not allow anyone to dictate what constitutes Christian faith.”

However, traditional Catholics celebrated the banner action online, congratulating and thanking the IB for its courage.

“There are some devout Catholics and converts in identitarian circles, just as there are people who have not yet found faith,” one Catholic social media user wrote. “Here, Christians are wished a blessed Lent in a friendly manner and with the sign of the cross – regardless of their individual relationship with Christ, there is nothing wrong with this.”

A political firestorm has erupted in Britain after Member of Parliament Rupert Lowe, who also serves as the leader of the newly created Restore Britain party, released a statement detailing explosive testimony from an ongoing inquiry into organized child sexual exploitation.

The revelations, he warned, expose not only criminal migrant depravity but what he described as institutional failure on a breathtaking scale.

Lowe, who represents Great Yarmouth, published a summary of testimony from a survivor of grooming gang abuse. The account alleges years of systematic sexual exploitation beginning when the victim was just 12 years old.

According to the testimony cited by Lowe, the abuse involved repeated rapes, often multiple times per day. The assaults were allegedly recorded and later used as leverage to silence the victim and prevent her from seeking help.

The statement further asserts that some members of law enforcement were not merely negligent but complicit in the heinous crimes against the innocent. The survivor alleges that certain police officers participated directly in the abuse and that money was exchanged openly.

In one of the most disturbing elements of the testimony, the victim asserts that police vehicles were used to transport her to locations where assaults occurred. She described certain events being referred to as “cop nights,” a detail that has rightly fueled outrage across social media and political circles.

The abuse is said to have included acts of torture, including waterboarding and strangulation. The victim said some of these incidents were filmed in what she described as “red rooms,” where the recordings were preserved.

Among the most shocking claims are allegations that at least three girls were murdered. The survivor reportedly witnessed these killings, including one allegedly carried out after a victim attempted to approach authorities.

The inquiry has not yet published a final report, and police have not confirmed the specific allegations outlined in Lowe’s statement. However, the leader of Restore Britain insists that the scale of testimony now emerging demands urgent national scrutiny.

For years now, Britain has grappled with the fallout from grooming gang scandals in towns such as Rotherham, Rochdale, and Telford, all of which are home to massive migrant enclaves. Independent reviews in those cases found systemic failures by local authorities and police to act on credible warnings.

Observers, for a long time, have argued that cultural sensitivities and fears of being labeled ‘discriminatory’ have contributed to the British state’s gross inaction. Lowe’s statement directly challenges what he calls a culture of “political correctness” that prioritized optics over safeguarding vulnerable British girls.

Musk has thrown his support behind Restore Britain, saying that it’s the only party that can save the British people.

For many voters in coastal and post-industrial communities across Britain, the controversy touches on deeper anxieties about governance and cultural identity. The perception that institutions failed to defend vulnerable British children has fueled resentment toward the detached political class.
