Where fatwas fail, the woke censors step in

Islamist Swastika protester

Strange times.

At a liberal college in California, where the free speech movement was born, Salman Rushdie was supposed to speak. He is the writer who has been living under a death sentence since 1989, a $4 million Iranian fatwa, and whose eye was taken out by a Teheran hitman two years ago. But Rushdie will never speak at the Claremont college: the student groups, which have become the soft and perfidious underbelly of the West, have accused him of “Islamophobia” and of “speaking badly of the Palestinians” (“a Palestinian state would be like the Taliban” Rushdie said, rightly).

Where Khomeini’s fatwa fails, the woke censors step in.

If even the most prestigious universities in the world seem like a branch of an Islamic republic, why should the authorities act differently in defiance of democracy, freedom of speech and the rule of law?

Two years ago, in Brescia, Italy, “His Eminence Sheikh Omar Abdelkafi”, one of the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood, came to harangue thousands of Muslims, with the presence of the vicar of the diocese at the Brixia Forum. Abdelkafi called September 11 and the Charlie Hebdo massacre “a comedy”, in addition to having called for the killing of “all Jews”.

“Public order reasons”: this is the reason that has just led to the expulsion from Italy of Rasmus Paludan, a right-wing Danish politician who burned the Koran in public and was supposed to attend a meeting. At Malpensa airport, Paludan was picked up and put back on the first flight to Copenhagen.

For the same reason, England has just barred entry to the writer Renaud Camus, a Frenchman writer and critic of immigration.

Paludan is not the type of person I would have a coffee with while discussing Europe, culture and freedom despite all the Danes who had “offended Islam” and who I have interviewed in recent years.

But unlike Abdelkafi, whose ideas are murderous, the Dane has not called for killing anyone, the only thing he has “hurt” is a book, while Al Qaeda has put him on the list of people to be eliminated. And the only death in the Koranic quarrel was an Iraqi Christian refugee in Sweden, Salwan Momika, murdered in live streaming and immediately silenced by the afterlife of the authorities and the media.

If we surrender to the logic of censorship, we will end up living according to Iranian rules – and we are already seeing it in Europe.

An hour’s drive separates Brescia and Varese, but the distance between the Abdelkafi and Paludan cases is not measured in kilometers, but in degrees of submission.

Ahmed Al Tayeb, the imam of al Azhar, with Pope Francis signed the “brotherhood between Christians and Muslims”, but he called for Jihad against Israel, legitimized terrorism against Israeli civilians on the basis of the Koran and called for the death of “apostates,” Muslims who convert to Christianity.

For him, as for Abdelkafi, no one thought of closing the doors of Italy.

The spirit of Orwell’s “1984” hovers today among certain progressives.

And at Sapienza University in Rome they planned to present the book of the leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, in the presence of professors from Italy’s most important university.

In this case they have invoked freedom of speech to give the floor to a mass murderer of innocents.

Public order? Incitement to hatred? Respect? It depends, then.

The “social peace” that we invoke to protect multiculturalism sounds a lot like Neville Chamberlain’s “peace for our time” on his return to Great Britain from Munich, an actwhich has gone down in history as a symbol of acquiescence or submission.

Meanwhile, I read an edifying story in the newspapers. The news of the expulsion of Kasia Wlaszczyk from Germany. She is called a “Polish citizen.” Kasia is transgender and shouts in the square “Free Palestine from the river to the sea,” as Hamas does, in addition to having called the German police “fascist.” Strange times indeed.

Pity poor Kasia, who fights on behalf of those who would strangle her without thinking twice as Sinwar did, while the “fascists” and “Zionists” she hates so much would save her life.

But freedom does not seem to be worth much in the West anymore: we are in the hands of useless people who believe that a minute of silence is enough to demonstrate courage.

Migrant hell: In France, 80% of French women want the army to protect them from migrant criminals –poll

AI

By Monica Showalter

With migrants surging, crime rising, and nobody looking out for their well-being, a large majority of French people would like the army called out to restore security in the wake of the crime wave coming from the foreign nationals.

According to ZeroHedge, citing ReMix News:

Due to France’s drug trafficking crisis, a large majority of French are in favor of the army being deployed into disadvantaged neighborhoods in problematic neighborhoods in France, including 80 percent of women.

According to a CSA poll conducted for CNews, Europe 1 and JDD, 76 percent of French people overall want the army called in to battle drug trafficking in “disadvantaged neighborhoods.”

In fact, women are more supportive of troops being deployed than men, with 80 percent of women saying yes to the question: “Should the army be called in to combat drug trafficking in troubled neighborhoods?” In turn, only 72 percent of men supported such an action.

Maybe that’s because migrants bring drugs, terrorism, and crime, including antisemitic and misogynistic attacks — with every one of these plagues related.

Last year, a French woman from the migrant-filled city of Lyon put out a cri de coeur that made it into news articles.

According to Evie Magazine:

In 2021, more than a third of immigrants in the country had acquired French citizenship. Immigration to France has since surged, and in 2023, foreigners comprised over 10% of the country’s population. As foreign men were brought in, the brutality against women increased, with more than 75% of rapes in Paris last year committed by foreign nationals, per GB News.

On July 1, 2024, French whistleblower Damien Rieu shared a disturbing post from a woman living in the city of Lyon, who shared the reality of living with immigrants. According to the English translation shared by a self-described independent reporter on X/Twitter, the woman and her friends were constantly harassed by foreigners.

Throughout this article, I will share reports of recent brutality committed by immigrants on French citizens.

“I am 26 years old, blonde, with light eyes, and I have always lived in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon, which is thought of as the poshest area in Lyon, and my daily life has become unbearable,” the woman wrote in a lengthy post sent to Rieu. “I write this because, ten years ago, I could go out with my friends in the evening, at any hour, without being bothered, insulted, followed, or stabbed.”

The anonymous woman recalled the time when she and her boyfriend and his two friends were attacked by a group of men who stole one of their phones. Her boyfriend tried to fight back but was stabbed in the arm. He had to protect his neck from being targeted. “Someone tried to cut his throat,” she added.

A translated copy of the tweet is here:

A French woman’s plea for help:

“I am 26 years old, blonde, with light eyes, and I have always lived in the 6th arrondissement of Lyon, which is thought of as the poshest area in Lyon, and my daily life has become unbearable. I write this because, ten years ago, I could go out… pic.twitter.com/fDwhhqHaUe— Dr. Maalouf ‏ (@realMaalouf) August 23, 2024

The money quote from the long tweet is here:

In Paris, Marseille, Lyon, and Nantes, undocumented migrants join drug networks for easy pay. “In our neighborhood, just in our block, there are three drug dealing spots, which work constantly. Day and night. With everything that entails: watchmen loitering outside our house, milling about, shouting, getting high and bothering people, especially women,” she said. “Every single one of the actions I mentioned (and they are only a part of what we have gone through) is the fact of men of sub-Saharan African or North African origin.”

Drugs, migrants, crime — they are all related. And now French women want to see the army step in, because nothing else has worked.

It’s been going on for awhile now. This video from a French political candidate decrying violence against women by migrants dates to 2019:

📹 “À #Lyon, comme partout ailleurs en France, le premier droit des femmes est celui de VIVRE EN SÉCURITÉ, partout, tout le temps !”

Je reviens sur l’odieuse agression sexuelle de dimanche matin commise par un clandestin sur les pentes de La Croix-Rousse. pic.twitter.com/uPVYXCIPf3— Agnès Marion ن (@_AgnesMarion) November 19, 2019

Google Translate:

“At #Lyon , as everywhere else in France, women’s first right is to LIVE IN SAFETY, everywhere, all the time!” I return to the odious sexual assault of Sunday morning committed by an illegal immigrant on the slopes of La Croix-Rousse.

She’s into it:

📹 « En réalité, ces féministes en carton sont partout où les femmes n’ont pas besoin d’elles et systématiquement absentes quand leurs droits sont réellement menacés et attaqués ! »

Ma réaction à la marche des écolos interdite aux hommes à #Lyon ! ⤵️ pic.twitter.com/b3a5G7T6jB— Agnès Marion ن (@_AgnesMarion) June 26, 2020

Google Translate:

“In reality, these cardboard feminists are everywhere women don’t need them and systematically absent when their rights are really threatened and attacked!” My reaction to the green march forbidden to men at #Lyon !

Terrorism and antisemitism are part of the picture, too.

In Marseille, the drug dealing (read: migrant problems) are reportedly unbearable.

So it’s little wonder that most French women want someone to come in and protect them. If they can’t rely on the men around them, then the army will have to do.

Which has some irony: France is historically the land of the great epic poem of the Middle Ages, the Song of Roland, whose hero embodied chivalry: loyalty to God, loyalty to his king (Charlemagne), honor, courage, and the defense and protection of women and the helpless. Roland was slain as he defeated Muslim invaders.

Perhaps there’s a deep cultural longing for another Roland, which is the great epic poem of France and probably not allowed to be taught in schools in any case, owing to the Muslim invaders portrayed as antagonists.

Contrastingly, we can also recall that during Joan of Arc’s time, soldiers were viewed as dangerous to women — which is why St. Joan donned male attire and cut her hair. She didn’t want to get attacked or raped by being among them even as she led them.

But after both cultural markers, times have changed.

French women, for all the modernity of the French state, for all the “rights” they have as equals to men, they now have no one to defend them from marauding savages.

So the army is viewed as the only thing women have left, given the authorities’ unwillingness to deport migrants who deal drugs for easy cash, and their unwillingness to see any connection between drug-dealing migrants and the complete lack of security French women now have.

Without personal security, there’s no such thing as human rights.

It’s arguable that the modern feminization of the culture has left men unwilling to protect their women, particularly with a de facto two-tier system of justice, one for migrants and one for citizens. The penalties for self-defense, or defending one’s woman as she is being assaulted by migrant drug dealers, are undoubtedly draconian.

Whatever it is, the army now what most of the French want right now. The state in its civilian capacity has failed.

And with a poll like this, it portends for change in the French political landscape. Yet authorities in France have got it rigged, having disqualified the one candidate who hears French women in their cries as they suffer from foreign invaders.

That’s a recipe for instability. If voters can’t get what they want from the ballot box, they’ll call for something more extreme, like an army to protect them, maybe martial law next.

One can only hope that their votes en masse for change will be so great the political rigging seen now is going to be overridden, as it was in the U.S.

Otherwise, as President Trump has pointed out, France will be ‘gone.’

Inmate Committee “Chairwoman” At Dutch Women’s Prison Where Female Guard Was Attacked Is Revealed To Be A Transgender Double Murderer

Reduxx has learned that the head of the inmate’s committee at a controversy-plagued Dutch women’s prison is a trans-identified male convicted of double homicide. Ter Peel, a women’s prison located in Evertsoord, recently made headlines after a female guard was brutally assaulted by a male inmate.

As previously reported by Reduxx, the assault at Ter Peel occurred earlier this year after a trans-identified male inmate, whose identity has not been disclosed by authorities, started a fire in his cell. A female guard, the first to respond, opened the cell door to assist, only to be viciously attacked. The guard was physically overwhelmed by her assailant, and was hospitalized sustaining severe injuries.

The Dutch Prison and Probation Service (DJI) confirmed the incident but refused to provide details about the perpetrator. The inmate has since been transferred to another facility for aggressive prisoners, though it remains unclear whether this is a men’s or women’s prison.

Now, a new controversy has emerged out of the same prison. Reduxx has learned that a transgender inmate named Sharona Samantha Maria de Jonge, formerly known as Peter, has been serving as the chair of the inmate’s committee at the facility, also known as the Gedeco, representing and making decisions on polices that impact vulnerable female inmates.

De Jonge is a prostitute and convicted double murderer serving a sentence of just under 23 years. Social media profiles belonging to de Jonge reveal that he has a number of disturbing fetishes, which he openly boasted about along with the man who was his accomplice in the murders.

According to Panorama, the pair killed Willem van der Willigen, a 70-year-old retired accountant from Lieshout, and Benito van Ommeren, a 65-year-old Surinamese man, in December of 2023. Both victims were brutally beaten and bludgeoned with weapons – Van der Willigen with a hammer and Van Ommeren with a vase – before being strangled.

A court in Dordrecht sentenced de Jonge to 22 years and 11 months, and his accompliace to 30 years. The prosecutor described the murders as “purely business,” according to Omroep Brabant, but they were marked by a “calculated cruelty.” Following the murder of Van der Willigen, the pair lived in his home for weeks, with de Jonge inviting his prostitution clients to the residence while the owner’s dead body was stashed in another room. De Jonge and his accomplice, who Reduxx can idenitify as Bill Couwenberg, used the victims’ money to fund a lavish lifestyle and drugs until their arrest.

Social media activity uncovered by Reduxx paints a chilling picture of de Jonge’s proclivities. On X (formerly Twitter), he described himself as a “submissive” who was “owned” by Couwenberg, and the two shared explicit pornographic content showcasing themselves engaging in their shared BDSM fetish.

A neighbor in Den Bosch, where de Jonge and Couwenberg lived before the murders, told Panorama that “Sharona was masochistically inclined, so SM sessions took place in the apartment at night.” The neighbors, a family with young children, also reported hearing screams at night, which sounded as though abuse was taking place.

The apartment had become a drug den and an illegal hub for de Jonge’s prostitution, eventually leading to their eviction due to the noise disturbances. Unable to continue offering prostitution services from that location, de Jonge and Couwenberg needed a new base of operations. Their first victim, Willem van der Willigen, was a regular client of Jonge’s who allowed them to stay at his home in exchange for sexual services, while their second victim, Benito van Ommeren, opened his door to the homeless and drug-addicted—hospitality that the pair exploited.

Since being incarcerated with women, de Jonge has been vocal about his support of trans-identified males in women’s prisons.

In a 2024 letter written by de Jonge and published by BONJO, a newspaper distributed to all penitentiary institutions in the Netherlands, de Jonge criticized a previous article about the placement of trans-identified males in women’s prisons and protests by women’s rights activists. Writing the letter in his official capacity as the “chairwoman” of the Ter Peel inmate’s committee, de Jonge claimed: “Here in the prison where I am, the women among themselves experience no problems with the presence of trans women.”

He accused the media of creating a “problem that doesn’t exist in practice,” downplaying the dangers of housing men in women’s prisons and arguing that he should have been consulted for the article to include the perspectives of the inmates he represents.

The placement of trans-identified males in women’s prisons remains a contentious issue in the Netherlands.

In 2023, women gathered outside the courthouse in Dordrecht to protest against the placement of another trans-identified male in Ter Peel following a call to action by Voorzij, a Dutch gender-critical foundation advocating against the relaxation of transgender identity laws.

As previously reported by Reduxx, Daniela, a 32-year-old Chilean national charged with stabbing a man 214 times in a targeted attack on his eyes, ears, and genitals, was placed in Ter Peel in 2023. He was later sentenced to 14 years detention in the women’s prison, a decision that journalist Sybilla Claus called “unacceptable” in her report for De Telegraaf, noting that many incarcerated women are survivors of abuse and trauma.

The recent assault at Ter Peel has reignited calls for policy reform. The Leiden University study highlights that female inmates often feel vulnerable during interactions with staff, exacerbated by power dynamics and a lack of secondary oversight, which can create opportunities for abuse.

Claus echoed these concerns in her recently published article, in which she reported on conversations with formerly incarcerated women in Ter Peel. Claus argues that placing male inmates in women’s prisons jeopardizes the “protection, privacy, and dignity” of female prisoners, many of whom have histories of trauma.

She also noted that female inmates in the Netherlands are typically released after three months because they are rarely convicted of serious crimes, and that trans-identified individuals were previously housed in a secure “Extra Zorg Voorziening” (special care unit) in men’s prisons, questioning why this policy was abandoned and demanding immediate action to address the risks posed by such placements.

‘I wanted to f*ck’ — Illegal Congolese migrant strips naked in French courthouse ahead of trial for sexually assaulting police office

Mesnil-Amelot detention center, Screengrab youtube

A 49-year-old Congolese illegal migrant in France, accused of sexually assaulting a police officer at the Mesnil-Amelot detention center, appeared before the Meaux Criminal Court on Monday. He reportedly told the authorities while in police custody, “I want to fuck, I wanted to fuck.”

The defendant, who is subject to an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF), was arrested on May 13 following the alleged assault and has been held in pre-trial detention since. He had previously been placed in the Mesnil-Amelot detention center on April 5 after serving time in prison.

As reported by Le Parisien, the Congolese national smiled in the courtroom but refused to speak and ignored all questions put to him, prompting judges to postpone the trial until June 27.

The court heard how the defendant had stripped naked in a courthouse holding cell on Friday, forcing a magistrate to reprimand him.

Deputy prosecutor Myriam Khouas described him as a danger to public safety, citing a criminal record that includes six prior convictions, among them a previous sexual assault. “Obviously, he is dangerous,” she said.

The victim, a police officer working at the detention center, attended the hearing but could not bring herself to testify. “It’s just the fact of seeing him,” she said from the back of the courtroom.

Defense attorney Caroline Desré requested that the court order a psychiatric evaluation, arguing that the accused had previously been declared criminally irresponsible due to a mental disorder in a 2018 case heard by the Paris Criminal Court. At that time, he was involuntarily committed to a psychiatric unit.

Desré also criticized an earlier police psychiatric report, which concluded the defendant was fit to stand trial, claiming the expert had not even heard her client speak. “The psychiatrist who met him in police custody says that everything is fine, while he didn’t even hear my client’s voice,” she said.

According to the defense, the only words the man has uttered since his arrest were during custody, when he reportedly stated: “I want to fuck, I wanted to fuck.”

The court granted the request for a psychiatric assessment.

The man will remain in custody until his rescheduled trial in late June.

Leftists Cry ‘Islamophobia’ as France Looks to Ban Veiling of Girls over Muslim Brotherhood Sharia Plot

French President Emmanuel Macron’s political party has called for a ban on young girls wearing Islamic veils in public and a new law against “Islamist entryism” after a bombshell government report found that the Muslim Brotherhood has waged a multi-generational campaign to infiltrate institutions and control Islamic communities in service of instituing Sharia law to the West.

Former French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, who leads President Macron’s Renaissance party in the National Assembly, proposed on Wednesday that the ban on wearing veils in public be extended to girls under the age of 15. France became the first European country to impose such a ban for adults in 2011.

However, Attal argued that the government must go further in the wake of the publication of a government report, which found that the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood has sought for at least seven decades to subvert France and other European nations through clandestinely entering institutions and taking control over various facets of Muslim communities to promote Sharia practices to Islamise the West.

According to the report, the movement has seized upon supposed social justice campaigns through its various Muslim association proxies against “Islamophobia” — a term coined by the Muslim Brotherhood — and the veil ban to create a veneer of legitimacy in public discourse and to rally Muslim communities to their cause.

Meanwhile, local arms of the Brotherhood, in which trained Islamist activists are installed as managers at community shops, sports groups, private education, financial services, dating sites and elsewhere, have been established to control all aspects of life within Islamic communities and enforce strict Muslim practices, such as forcing the veil on women and girls.

The report found that this has resulted in a “massive and visible increase in little girls wearing the veil”, including girls as young as five or six years old, who are described as the “baby lion cubs” of radical Islam in France.

Thus, the Macronist party has called for fresh legislation to make “an offence of coercion to wear the veil against parents who force their minor daughters to wear the veil,” which they argue contravenes gender equality and child protection principles, Le Figaro reports.

Former Prime Minister Attal has also called for the government to enact a “law against Islamist entryism” on top of the 2021 legislation banning “separatism” within the country in response to the subversive threat posed by the Muslim Brotherhood and its proxies, which the government report found have effectively inflitrated EU and French institutions and have turned Western liberalism against itself through campaigns against “Islamophobia” and supposed victimisation of Muslims.

Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau warned that “there is a very clear threat to the Republic, a threat to national cohesion and a threat of submersion,” adding that “the ultimate objective is to tip all of French society into Sharia law.”

In the wake of the report, the government’s National Defence Council plans to intensify efforts to target the finances of groups tied to the Muslim Brotherhood, through freezing assets and creating more robust schemes to prevent public money being directed to Islamist causes. However, given that the report found that EU programmes often fund the Brotherhood, it is unclear how much France can do unilaterally without Brussels.

The report also noted that efforts to disentangle the vast network of Islamist subversion have been put on the backburner of government priorities as a result of the understandable focus on preventing jihadi terrorism, which has plagued the country over the past decade. Additionally, the paper also found that there is often a hesitancy to target Muslim Brotherhood-tied groups for fear of appearing “Islamophobic”.

The use of the victim narrative has been critical to the Muslim Brotherhood’s success in spreading its influence in Islamic communities and public institutions, the report said.

Campaigns against Islamophobia have been a key link between Islamist factions and the French far-left, including socialist Jean-Luc Mélenchon’s radical La France Insoumise (France in Revolt) party, which has often joined and helped organise demonstrations against Islamophobia, including a rally in Paris just last month.

Mélenchon claimed that the report on the Muslim Brotherhood demonstrated that “Islamophobia has crossed a threshold” in France and that it merely represented the “delusional theories” of figures like populist National Rally leader Marine Le Pen and Interior Minister Retailleau.

Le Pen deputy Jordan Bardella accused the Mélenchonist party of providing an “institutional echo” for the Muslim Brotherhood, citing their opposition to the veil ban as evidence of the far left’s role as the standard bearer of the Islamist movement in French politics.

On Wednesday, Bardella doubled down on his party’s demand that the Muslim Brotherhood be banned outright in the country to “protect French people from Islamist threat.”

Germany: No means of combating rampant stabbing spree, but using artificial intelligence to bring waste separation offenders to justice

Wikimedia Commons, LBJ Library ,CC-PD-Mark

Germany is continuing to pioneer innovative uses for artificial intelligence.

In the state of Saarland, public waste disposal association Entsorgungsverband Saar (EVS) has introduced a novel AI-based system to detect automatically improperly disposed garbage in citizens’ organic waste bins.

On May 8, EVS announced that a test run in the municipalities of Kirkel and Friedrichsthal beginning in October 2024 had been successful, and it was now rolling out the new system in several more communities, including parts of the city of Saarlouis.

Rubbish collection trucks, which drive from house to house emptying individual households’ organic waste bins, will now be outfitted with cameras to take pictures of each bin’s contents before and during the emptying process.

An AI-based software will then scan the pictures for evidence of non-organic waste, primarily plastics. Suspicious waste can then be traced back to the disposer using silicon chips on the bins.

Saarlouis mayor Marc Speicher from the Conservative CDU party, said “We have to improve on security, order, and cleanliness. Now we are continuing this strategy of our town together with EVS in the area of waste management. With the new phase of the organic waste control, incorrectly filled bins become visible and can be directly assigned to the waste offenders.”

In the first phase, waste offenders will only be informed of their wrongdoings by having a yellow tag attached to their bin.

“The next level of escalation is a red note”, said Stefan Kunz, the general manager of EVS, in a video widely shared on X. The offender’s bin would then not be emptied. Repeated or especially grave offences could also lead to fines being imposed.

The introduction coincides with a new German regulation which mandates as of May 1, organic waste may not contain more than 3 per cent in non-organic impurities.

In the wake of the regulatory tightening, AI-based garbage monitoring systems are also being introduced in other German towns including Munich, Ulm, and Reutlingen.

The new cameras and AI systems reportedly cost up to €50,000 each.

But this technological innovation does not stop at detection.

The city of Ulm in southern Germany is also rolling out digital waste bins which city officials can lock remotely in the case of criminal impurities, and only reopen after the owner has paid a fine.

Here We Go Again: Romanian Nationalist Demands Election Be Overturned

George Simion, leader of Romania’s nationalist AUR, in contrast with his initial reaction to the vote, has now called for the country’s top court to annul the results of last Sunday’s presidential elections, which he lost, claiming foreign governments interfered in the vote.

Simion submitted the request to Romania’s Constitutional Court on Tuesday, May 20th, arguing that foreign interference from France and neighboring Moldova had compromised the election’s legitimacy.

He accused both countries of intervening “directly or indirectly” to influence the outcome.

“I officially request that the elections be annulled. For the same reasons as in December: foreign interference. But this time we have clear evidence,” said Simion in a statement on his social media. “Neither France, nor Moldova, nor any other country has the right to interfere in Romania’s internal affairs,” he added.

Simion’s argument partly rests on recent statements by Telegram founder Pavel Durov, who said French intelligence services tried to force him to hand over user data under the pretext of counter-terrorism. Durov alleged that the operation had geopolitical motives and was to monitor activity in Eastern European countries such as Romania, Ukraine, and Moldova ahead of elections.

Telegram has said it did not comply with the request, but confirmed it was approached by French officials in unclear circumstances.

Back in December, Simion strongly criticized the cancellation of that month’s election, calling it anti-democratic. Yet, he ended up demanding a similar cancellation himself.

Foreign interference, or rather the claims of it, has become a growing concern in the European institutions over the past year, with Brussels using it as an easy excuse to justify introducing further restrictions on free speech, meddling in national elections with EU-mandated social media censorship under the Digital Services Act (DSA) and the upcoming Democracy Shield.

The EU’s double standards in this regard are evident and very much concerning. It immediately jumps to conclusions when there are claims of foreign interference helping its agenda, but it not only keeps silent when facing the ‘right’ type of interference, but actively enables and supports it.

However, after spending months slamming national and EU authorities for unsubstantiated claims of Russian interference leading to an election annulment, the nationalists should surely refrain from demanding the same anti-democratic measures they spent the past six months protesting.

The future credibility of democracy—in Romania or anywhere else—depends on accepting the will of the demos, the people, however they decide.

Germany: Preparations for the fight for the caliphate? Huge arsenal of weapons seized from clan in North Rhine-Westphalia

Illustration GROK

Several homes were searched during a raid in Essen, Mülheim and Oberhausen on Tuesday. An entire arsenal of weapons was seized. The background to this is an investigation into suspected illegal arms trafficking against two Turks from Essen. According to the police, both are associated with the criminal clan milieu. There have been leads about the two for two years. More than a dozen pistols, four long guns, several hundred rounds of ammunition and ‘various means of communication’ were confiscated during the search, which was carried out by special police units. These included several loaded firearms and several bullets.

The weapons seized are still being investigated. ‘As the flat was heavily cluttered, large parts of the inventory had to be carried out and searched.’ More than 20 members of the police team formed a chain in the hallway to pack the items into a lorry, the police said. The two men are now being investigated on suspicion of trafficking in firearms.
This case is probably just the tip of the iceberg, especially in North Rhine-Westphalia, where the hopelessly overstretched CDU Interior Minister Herbert Reul has to report a new record increase in clan crime every year and simulate political ability to act. Members of criminal clans are hoarding and selling weapons on a scale that is almost unimaginable. Some of them are probably better equipped than many police or even federal defence units.
In any case, they are excellently equipped for the fight to introduce the caliphate or the constant expansion of their criminal activities and are more ‘war-ready’ than the German population, which is now to be mobilised against an imaginary external enemy, while the same politicians who are calling for this are constantly ensuring that the real enemies are imported.

In Berlin, Muslims walk through the city and ask passers-by about their religious affiliation – if they answer ‘I am Christian’, the latter are beaten up

The crime scene Müllerstraße/Seestraße in Berlin’s Wedding district Müllerstraße & Seestraße – Google Maps

Apparently because of his Christian religious beliefs, a man has been beaten up in the Wedding district of Berlin.

Passers-by found the 24-year-old man collapsed on the road at a junction late on Monday evening, police said on Tuesday. They alerted the emergency services, who took the man to hospital with a facial injury.

When questioned, the 24-year-old stated that he had been asked by five strangers about his religious affiliation. When he said that he was baptised as a Christian, the strangers hit him several times on the head. According to the police, the suspected attackers fled in an unknown direction. State security took over the investigation.
