Three Moroccan migrants aged 21, 22, and 24 have been arrested and charged with the gang rape of two young female Hungarian tourists near Catania, sources said on Friday.
The victims had accepted a lift back to their B&B from two of the suspects, but instead of taking them there, they allegedly took them to an isolated place where the third suspect joined them. The third man allegedly forced them to take cocaine and the three then allegedly forced the women to undergo sexual acts, the sources said.
The police managed to track down the suspects in a square in the town of Paternò thanks to a cell-phone tracker activated by the sister of one of the victims who had reported them missing. The tourists were found in tears on a bench while the three suspects were near them, next to their van.
