A man arrested for serious intentional violence and taken into police custody injured four police officers in the eighth arrondissement of Paris on Monday May 6, according to reports.
During his transport between the police station and the Bichat hospital at around 8.40pm, Skander B. A., 26 years old, was handcuffed because he had become enraged, put up a strong fight, banged his head against the vehicle, spat at the police officers and insulted them: ‘I’m going to fuck your mum’, ‘By Allah I’m going to fuck you’, ‘I’m going to tear you apart’, ‘Big shit’, ‘I’m going to say you hit me, gang of fat shits’. The surveillance cameras are then activated.
In the waiting room, the suspect continues to hurl abuse at the officers: ‘I’ll tear you apart, you son of a bitch’ etc., and then deliberately bangs his head against the hospital wall. With a protective grip on his arm, he then bit a police officer on the left leg, forcing him to let go with a light blow to the chest. He tried to bite the officers again when they decided to assist the nursing staff. The doctor declared the man fit to be taken into custody. Dissatisfied, he tried to self-harm again.
On the way back, there is another outbreak of violence. He is out of control in the vehicle and lunges at the police officers with his mouth open, biting and beating them. Two more blows are struck. Once at the police station, the officers remove his handcuffs to carry out the security search when the man kicks them repeatedly. Reinforcements were called in. When the officers’ requests went unanswered, they used a stun gun, but this did not help. After a very difficult search, a bag of cannabis resin was finally found on the arrested man.
The result: four injured police officers. One was immediately taken to hospital with swelling and pain in his right wrist, the others suffered from pain and a bite wound. They filed charges of violence and insult.
Skander B. A. has a very negative reputation with the police for numerous road traffic offences, drugs, resisting public authority, violence, etc., according to our information. ‘The police are furious that this man at large is still injuring four police officers, one of whom has been hospitalised,’ a police source scolded.
