The police in Ludwigsburg have launched an investigation after Islamist slogans were daubed on the façade of the Mörike Gymnasium (photo) last weekend, between November 28 and December 1, 2025. The slogans, written in both Arabic and English, expressed sympathy for an Islamist terrorist organization. One striking detail was the date ‘05.12.’ written in Arabic characters.
After carefully assessing the situation, the police currently see no concrete danger to the population. Nevertheless, there will be an increased police presence on the entire school campus this coming Friday, December 5, 2025. This measure is intended to counteract possible uncertainty in the school community and convey a sense of security.
The Ludwigsburg Police Headquarters also appeals to the public not to participate in spreading rumours. Instead, it is strongly recommended to rely exclusively on information from official sources in order to avoid misinformation and unnecessary panic. The close cooperation between the police and the school administration aims to ensure safety and investigate the incident.
