On Wednesday evening, the police raided a flat in Zwickau. This followed a tip-off about an imminent serious crime. The newspaper ‘Freie Presse’ was the first to report on the incident. As the police confirmed in response to an enquiry from MDR SACHSEN, the suspected perpetrator is believed to be a 13-year-old child.
According to the police, the suspect was located in the flat. The suspicion could not initially be confirmed at the scene. The child and another person reportedly accompanied the police voluntarily. The minor is due to be interviewed on Thursday. The operation on Wednesday evening was therefore a precautionary measure. No formal investigation has been launched, but the Saxony State Criminal Police Office (LKA) is continuing to look into the incident. The spokesperson for the state criminal police office did not provide any details regarding possible next steps.
