The ‘Transvestigation’ of Brigitte Macron

In what has to be one of the most bizarre defamation cases of all time, the French president has vowed to prove that his wife is not a man. Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron’s lawyers plan to provide scientific and photographic evidence to conclusively show that the French first lady is not, in fact, a transgender woman. To be clear, that means pictures of a pregnant Brigitte, not whatever else you might have been imagining.

This is all part of a truly insane lawsuit, in which the French presidential couple are suing American right-wing commentator Candace Owens for spreading a conspiracy theory that Mrs. Macron was born a man. According to the theory, Brigitte is actually Jean-Michel Trogneux, and ‘he’ apparently groomed a teenage Macron before transitioning into a woman. Owens has described this as “the biggest scandal in political history.”

Frankly, the Macrons have enough skeletons in their closet, even without speculating that Mme. Macron is secretly male. The pair met while the young Emmanuel was in school, and Brigitte was his teacher, 24 years his senior. The pair argue that their relationship always stayed firmly “within the bounds of the law,” and they married in 2007, when Macron was 30 and Brigitte 54. By this point, she had three children from her previous marriage.

So far, so French. But what has really captured the internet’s imagination is that Brigitte could be hiding her ‘true’ sex. The evidence for this theory is unconvincing, to say the least. For starters, there already exists a Jean-Michel Trogneux—Brigitte’s brother, who is very much a separate person from Brigitte herself. The bulk of the rumour relies on edited photos and documents or simply asserting that Brigitte looks somewhat masculine.

It follows a trend of ‘transvestigating,’ where online sleuths examine images of masculine-looking (usually famous) women in order to determine whether they’re secretly trans. Other targets include former U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama and former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern. This is an eccentric, if harmless enough, hobby, akin to believing that the U.S. government is hiding aliens away from the public. If people want to spend their time analysing bone structure and hip-to-waist ratios, that’s their prerogative. Who am I to yuck anybody’s yum?

The idea that Brigitte is secretly trans probably would have stayed a kooky internet conspiracy theory, had the Macrons not responded to the claims so publicly. Already, two French women have been found guilty of slandering Brigitte and ordered to pay €8,000 to her and €5,000 to her brother as punishment for spreading the rumour online. But this summer, the verdict was overturned, finding that the threshold for defamation had not been met.

Now, the Macrons have filed a lawsuit in the Delaware Supreme Court, claiming that Owens has engaged in a “relentless year-long campaign of defamation against them.” Apparently, the couple has suffered “substantial economic damages” as a result of the conspiracy theory, including “loss of future business opportunities.” They argue that Owens has damaged “relationships with other members of the government, potential political allies and others” and ruined “confidence in the Macrons’ integrity and fitness as political and governmental leaders.” Owens, for her part, seems positively delighted with all the publicity. “I am fully prepared to take on this battle,” she has defiantly announced. “On behalf of the entire world, I will see you in court.”

You might think that Macron has bigger things to worry about than silly internet rumours. He has lost four prime ministers in the last 21 months and is currently contending with a collapsing government. Not to mention how ridiculous it is that the president of an entire country should concern himself with the whisperings of podcasters. Being a politician, especially a high-profile one, brings a certain level of public speculation about one’s private life. This can often be distasteful and intrusive, but it nonetheless comes with the territory. Clearly, Macron and his wife have never heard of the Streisand effect—trying to suppress or silence a rumour will, inevitably, amplify it.

The fact that the transvestigation of Mrs. Macron has got this far also points to just how much trans ideology has poisoned the discourse. Being told for years that women can have penises has clearly done a number on too many people. The threat of bumping into a man in the women’s loos has, somewhat understandably, made women wary of who enters their spaces.

The unfortunate victims of this are often masculine- or androgynous-looking women. Today, being tall, having a flat chest, or possessing a defined jawline might be treated with suspicion. Indeed, there have been cases where women have been asked to leave female spaces because others have mistaken them for trans-identifying men. In one scenario, a security guard at a hotel in Boston reportedly demanded a lesbian woman leave the female toilets, believing she was a man. The woman showed the guard her ID, but she and her girlfriend were nonetheless asked to leave. Even worse, a woman was mistakenly sent to a men’s prison in Scotland on account of her masculine appearance. Thankfully, she was kept in segregation for one night and returned to the correct estate the following morning. These cases are, fortunately, few and far between. Of course, no woman should face harassment for visiting the toilet or changing room she belongs in. But nor should women have to worry in the first place that a man might be lurking in the bathroom stalls.

I would wager that the transvestigation trend comes from a similar impulse. It’s weird that Macron even feels the need to dignify it with a response. Forcing your wife to submit photos of her pregnancy and God knows what else to a court is surely humiliating for everyone involved. It only gives the gawkers more of what they want. And, in their eyes, it confirms everything they’ve claimed so far. Certainly, whatever goes on in that courtroom is unlikely to change anyone’s mind either way.

This entire situation is silly beyond belief. There are plenty of very legitimate reasons to criticise Macron—France is crime-ridden, overrun by illegal migration, and unable to respond to voters’ interests or concerns. Spurious speculation that his wife is hiding a penis should be the least of his worries. When Macron has so many real problems to deal with, why bother obsessing over this nonsense?

Movement to designate Antifa ‘terrorist group’ spreads in Europe

Law-makers in Hungary and the Netherlands have signalled intentions to restrict or outlaw Antifa, a loose network of left-wing activists involved in violent protests.

In Budapest, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán announced on public radio today that, following the US, Hungary will formally designate Antifa as a terrorist organisation.

The decision comes in the shadow of the high-profile case of Italian MEP Ilaria Salis, whom Orbán has alleged was linked to Antifa activism.

Salis had previously faced detention in Hungary in connection with anti-fascist demonstrations.

In 2023, the left-wing extremist gang violently assaulted nine random civilians – based on what they said was their victims’ “Nazi-like” clothing – with hammers, batons and pepper spray across five Budapest sites, leaving victims comatose or severely injured.

She has denied the charges, but consistently identified as an anti-fascist activist. She described her persecution as stemming from her political beliefs.

The European Parliament will next week decide on lifting her immunity, meaning she could face trial in Hungary for alleged violent attacks committed in Budapest.

On Tuesday, September 23, the Parliament’s Committee on Legal Affairs (JURI) will vote on whether to recommend lifting her immunity, following a request from the Hungarian authorities. Should JURI agree, the matter will proceed to the plenary session in Strasbourg, scheduled for October 7.

Orbán’s government argues that Antifa represents a transnational threat, accusing its adherents of orchestrating violent confrontations across Europe.

The planned terrorist designation would give Hungarian authorities sweeping powers to arrest suspects, freeze assets and ban associated organisations.

In the Netherlands parliament, a right-wing majority adopted a motion by Lidewij de Vos (FvD) and Geert Wilders (PVV) urging the government to also classify Antifa as a terrorist organisation.

Proponents cited Antifa’s threats to politicians, disruption of events and intimidation of journalists and students.

The current government, though, opposes the move and legal experts note it may lack practical effect since Antifa has no formal entity in the Netherlands.

The National C0-ordinator for Security and Counterterrorism (NCTV) described left-wing extremism there as “fragmented and small”.

A 2023 attack on Forum for Democracy (FvD) party leader Thierry Baudet with a beer bottle was attributed to Antifa sympathisers.

Opponents of a ban argued that Antifa is not a formal organisation but, rather, a decentralised movement, thus making prohibition difficult to enforce in practice.

Civil rights advocates further cautioned that outlawing Antifa could set a dangerous precedent, potentially adveresely impacting peaceful anti-racist and anti-fascist campaigners under broad security legislation.

In Belgium, the President of the French-speaking Liberals, Georges-Louis Bouchez, also launched a proposal to ban Antifa.

His request came following violent protests against his own centrist political party and the desecration of the tombstone of a late prominent Jewish Liberal statesman, Jean Gol, yesterday.

Bouchez said that his party will work to abolish Antifa both in the government and in parliament.

He claimed Antifa used fascist means of operating and was, “without any doubt, the biggest danger for our democracy today”.

Bouchez alleged the leftist extremists systematically used violence and that, more generally, the monopoly of political violence in contemporary Belgium was completely driven by the Left.

He also alleged that some unnamed professors at the University of Liège were part of the violent protests.

In the European Parliament there have already been multiple motions tabled to list Antifa on the European Union terrorist list.

A 2023 resolution by Alternative for Germany (AfD) MEPs called for this, citing Antifa’s alleged violence in Hungary and Germany, including assaults on civilians and police.

Watch: UK Police Confront Donald Trump Supporter over ‘Hurtful’ Social Media Post

A British police officer has been recorded confronting a Donald Trump supporter over a Facebook post that “upset someone.”

A viral video shared on X – formerly known as Twitter – has been viewed more than 4.1 million times showing a grandmother, named as cancer sufferer Deborah Anderson, answering the door to an officer from Thames Valley Police.

The mother-of-two told the officer on the doorstep he could come in but added: “You’d better have a damn good reason for being here.

“I’m a member of the Free Speech Union and I’m an American citizen… I’ll have Elon Musk on you so quickly your feet won’t touch (the floor).”

The officer went on to reveal he was there because “something that we believe you’ve written on Facebook has upset someone”.

“You’re here because somebody got upset?” Deborah replied. “Is it against the law? Am I being arrested?”

The Express reports the officer said she was not being arrested, adding: “My plan was, if you were admitting that it was you who wrote the comment, you could just make an apology to the person.”

When the accused said she would not be apologising, he replied: “The alternative would be that I have to call you in for an interview.”

The Free Speech Union (FSU) branded the incident, which happened in June, as “chilling” and cautioned: “What was Deborah’s supposed crime?

“The policeman didn’t tell her. Was it her passionate support of President Trump and the MAGA movement on her Facebook and X pages?

“To make it worse, Deborah is in the midst of cancer treatment, including chemotherapy. She ought to be have been convalescing. Instead, she was harassed for her tweets.

“Thames Valley Police are responsible for guarding President Trump this week.

“What would he make of the fact that those same officers are visiting the homes of his supporters – including US citizens – and threatening them with arrest?”.

Following intervention from the FSU it has been confirmed by the police force that the case has now been dropped.

Politicians, including Tory leader Kemi Badenoch, are among those who have publicly criticised Thames Valley Police for the incident. FSU leader Lord Toby Young revealed earlier this year that police in the UK arrest an average of 30 people every single day for social media posts.

UK: Bradford grooming gang victims urge West Yorkshire mayor to back inquiry into town’s abuse scandal

Local survivor Fiona Goddard, leading child abuse solicitor David Greenwood, and Keighley & Ilkley MP Robbie Moore have sent a letter to all 90 Bradford District councillors, the Mayor of West Yorkshire, the Deputy Mayor and every MP representing the district.Fiona Goddard via FB

Three grooming gang abuse victims have urged the West Yorkshire Mayor to support their call on the government to include Bradford in the national inquiry into the scandal.

Tracy Brabin has been urged to sign a letter sent to the Home Secretary from the victims, which is co-signed by Tory MP for Keighley and Ilkley Robbie Moore and leading solicitor David Greenwood.

It comes over three months after the government announced an inquiry into the scandal following a review by Baroness Louise Casey, who found that the true scale of the abuse networks and their motivations had yet to be reckoned with.

Ms Brabin has come under heavy criticism from politicians and some victims in the Bradford District after she said that she would not be calling for an inquiry into the area.

In April, she said “I’m not going to call for an inquiry because we have had several numbers of inquiries across our region.

“The victims I have spoken to, what they want is justice – they don’t want talking, they don’t want politicians fighting amongst themselves, they want the people who did this put away.”

But calls for a review in Bradford have escalated with the letter, which has also been sent to all 90 Bradford District councillors, the Deputy Mayor and every MP representing the district.

The letter, which includes two unnamed victims who have a lifelong right to anonymity, said: “For decades, young people in our district have suffered unimaginable abuse at the hands of grooming gangs.

“Families have been torn apart, survivors have been ignored or disbelieved, and many have been left without the answers they deserve. Despite this, Bradford has never had a full, independent inquiry into the scale of these crimes or the systemic failings that allowed them to happen.”

Brave survivor Fiona Goddard said: “Many grooming gang cases across the UK have links to Bradford, with children trafficked here from across the country.

“So by not having this area as a main focus in the national inquiry, we don’t just fail the victims here but survivors of grooming across the country.

“I ask our local councillors and MP’s to think about all those people who have already been massively failed and show overwhelming support for these calls.”

Robbie Moore MP added: “In places like Rotherham, Telford and Oldham, it was survivor voices and cross-party pressure, including from elected officials who initially opposed an inquiry, that ultimately tipped the balance.

“We ask all elected officials to sign this letter and help deliver justice for those failed by all levels of the British state for far too long.” The letter also boasts the authority of David Greenwood, one of the country’s leading child abuse compensation lawyers.

He has acted for abuse gang victims for over 30 years, with his team at Switalskis representing over 100 victims in Rotherham and beyond.

Mr Greenwood said: “Having worked for many survivors of child sexual exploitation in Bradford, I know the harm done to the girls (now women) involved. They deserve to know action is being taken.

“Unless we tackle exploitation together, Bradford’s name will be indelibly stained not only due by the abuse, but by the unwillingness of its council to face up to the extent of the problem, past failings and what’s needed for the future.”

88% of students fake progressive views to make it through college: study

AI generator

Almost 90% of college students participating in a recent study said they fake agreement with left-wing views for academic and social success in one of the starkest examples yet of the bias of modern academia.

Writing in The Hill, clinical psychology researchers Kevin Waldman and Forest Romm of Northwestern University detail their findings from 1,452 confidential interviews with Northwestern and University of Michigan undergraduate students conducted over a two-year period, exploring the topic of “(w)hat happens to identity formation when belief is replaced by adherence to orthodoxy.”

“We asked: Have you ever pretended to hold more progressive views than you truly endorse to succeed socially or academically? An astounding 88 percent said yes,” they wrote. “These students were not cynical but adaptive. In a campus environment where grades, leadership, and peer belonging often hinge on fluency in performative morality, young adults quickly learn to rehearse what is safe.”

“Seventy-eight percent of students told us they self-censor on their beliefs surrounding gender identity; 72 percent on politics; 68 percent on family values,” they continued. “More than 80 percent said they had submitted classwork that misrepresented their views in order to align with professors (…) 77 percent said they disagreed with the idea that gender identity should override biological sex in such domains as sports, health care, or public data — but would never voice that disagreement aloud. Thirty-eight percent described themselves as ‘morally confused,’ uncertain whether honesty was still ethical if it meant exclusion.”

Notably, Walman and Romm found that the habit of hiding true views in order to conform was so deeply ingrained that many now do it outside of the academic sphere as well: “Seventy-three percent of students reported mistrust in conversations about these values with close friends. Nearly half said they routinely conceal beliefs in intimate relationships for fear of ideological fallout. This is not simply peer pressure — it is identity regulation at scale, and it is being institutionalized.”

American institutions of higher education have long been recognized as heavily dominated by left-wing bias and historical revisionism, conditioning students to reject religion, traditional morality, and free markets, and to view America as a uniquely malignant force in the world, a society systemically rigged against the poor and minority groups. These past two weeks, the extent of the bias has been illustrated by the alarming number of professors who have publicly mocked or celebrated the murder of populist influencer Charlie Kirk.

The toll of such an activist bent often extends well beyond politics. Last year, insiders from the University of California-Los Angeles’ (UCLA’s) prestigious David Geffen School of Medicine warned that the school’s diversity fixation had led to a crisis in which more than half of students in various cohorts admitted since 2020 fail standardized tests for basic medical knowledge of subjects ranging from emergency medicine and family medicine to internal medicine and pediatrics.

President Donald Trump has issued executive orders to deny federal funds to educational entities that indoctrinate students through Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion (DEI) programs. Many states have introduced similar crackdowns on so-called “woke” indoctrination in education.

Dating according to Sharia law – German-language app paves the way for Islamists

AI generator

A Muslim dating app promotes ‘love according to the rules of the Prophet.’ In reality, it opens the door to radical preachers and degrades women to objects under guardianship. Religious rules for dating are nothing unusual in the Muslim world. However, the app ‘Half of my deen’ takes this to a whole new level, right here among us. Where equality and personal freedom should be a given, platforms are emerging that teach the opposite. Those who sign up are not entering a harmless dating world, but a system of control.

The first steps already show where this is going: every message is checked by administrators, every interaction monitored. Before any conversation is even possible, questions about Islamic preachers must be answered. And this is where it becomes extremely dangerous: names such as Pierre Vogel, Sven Lau and Abou-Nagie appear – preachers who have been under observation by the German domestic intelligence service for years.

This means that anyone who uses this app is also moving in the wake of Islamists. It is not just about finding a partner, but about ideological conformity. Young people find themselves in an environment that leaves no room for doubt or critical questions, but only for conformity with a radical interpretation of Islam.

The true nature of the app is most clearly revealed in the rules for women. They are only allowed to participate with a male guardian, the so-called wali, who is their father, brother or son. Without this permission, nothing is possible. This means that what should have been overcome long ago in Germany is being perpetuated digitally: women are not self-determined, but supplicants in their own lives, and what they do depends on the consent of a man in their immediate environment.

The fact that such a concept is being massively promoted and used not only somewhere in the Middle East, but in the heart of Europe, is madness and sets our society back hundreds of years. While Western societies struggle for every nuance of equality, a parallel system is quietly establishing itself here in which women’s fundamental rights are simply being undermined.

It is not enough to dismiss such phenomena as a ‘cultural peculiarity’. An app that disenfranchises women and courts Islamist preachers does not contribute to integration, but rather opens the door to regression. Anyone who takes equality seriously must clearly identify these developments and prevent the emergence of a parallel digital legal system in our cities that is incompatible with our values.

Corruption Tints Red

“Politicians are all the same” is a maxim one hears on a regular basis. It usually translates into the recurring problem of empty promises and demagoguery but in its acute form, it means corruption. Corruption scandals are ubiquitous to every political system, be it a democracy or a dictatorship, Western or Eastern, right-wing or left-wing.

There are many definitions of ‘corruption’ but a basic understanding of it would consist of the bypassing or perversion of public laws for private ends. If power corrupts, then the attraction of the corrupt for public office is only natural.

Looking at the woes of Spain’s PSOE (S&D) from Portugal, one cannot but feel history echoing across the border since it was a decade ago that Portugal’s former PM José Sócrates was arrested for corruption. Nuestros hermanos are undergoing much the same pathos that Portugal went through in the 2010s and—in my eyes—for many of the same reasons.

A clue to what is happening to socialist parties across the West can be found in the choice of Sócrates to lead Portugal’s Socialist Party (PS). Whereas most PMs rise to the position after leading an important ministry or a major city, José Sócrates’s highest office had been that of minister of the environment for all of two years.

How is it that none of the relevant state ministers in previous socialist governments was ready to step into the role of party leader and PM? How is it that an inconsequential environment minister becomes the only alternative available?

The reality is that the most reputed names amongst the socialists chose not to pursue leadership. The very reluctance is the clue to the reason why: socialism was spent. Economically, socialism had been discredited by the communist experiences throughout the world; at times providing real world empirical counterfactuals within the same nation, such as was the case in Korea or Germany. Culturally, the sexual revolution having been won and counter culture reigning supreme, ‘progress’ could only possibly be furthered by delving into more extreme causes. Whether instinctively or fully cognizant, mainstream socialist higher-ups sensed that the future of socialism would have to become increasingly extremist and populist, by necessity.

Whereas PS had been founded by relatively aristocratic and bourgeois elites, it was now left to the devices of unscrupulous professional politicians of the lower middle class, experts only in special interest arrangements and get-rich-quick scheming.

José Sócrates’s most high-profile judicial proceedings began on July 3rd, a decade after the events that led to his arrest. The ‘Marques Affair’ features a Sócrates accused of influence trafficking, receiving millions in return for special governmental favours to large banks and construction companies.

Pedro Sánchez is but another iteration of the same trend: intersectional extremism coupled with low-scruple cadres, all fueled by corrupt media sensationalism. Cultural Marxism provides ideological legitimacy (watch out for all those who present ‘gender equal’ cabinets), outrageous corruption feeds the apparatchiks, and corrupted biased media provide public cover for all the abuses of power.

In Portugal, too, Sócrates began by distracting the Left and its media agents by borrowing far-left causes such as gay marriage or climate change, while embarking on white elephant projects such as high-speed rail and other mass infrastructure works—many never to materialize—and driving the public debt to astronomical levels, while exerting pressure on media conglomerates to control his and the government’s public image.

Sánchez or Sócrates, the script is the same and the structural necessity is the same: if no dragons present themselves for slaying, artificial ones must be created. The civil rights era is resurrected with soundbites such as ‘racism’ or ‘sexism’—updated into ‘structural racism’ and ‘misogyny’—and new sexually deviant causes, such as transgenderism, are brought to the fore to elicit humanitarian sympathy. The temporary distraction serves only to distribute public funds through aligned parasitical networks until the money runs out or the grift becomes too noticeable.

It is incontrovertibly true, naturally, that politicians of all beliefs and creeds are susceptible to corruption. However, the Left is particularly problematic in this regard.

The Right’s temptation is to mix its private sector contacts and interests with public office duties. Right-wing politicians often come from the private sector and revolving doors allow them to return to the private sphere after holding public office, usually in order to capitalize on their insider knowledge in state matters. Corrupt as it may be, public office is often only an avenue to more profitable endeavors in the private sector. Be it by social class or self-made merit, most right-wing grifters do not exclusively need the public sector in order to prosper—rather, they use it as they would have used any other business venture.

As an example, both Jacques Chirac and Nicolas Sarkozy had successful business careers prior to entering politics. The two are also notorious for being tried for corruption but few doubt that they would have been successful outside of politics, regardless. Influence peddling, nepotism, and misuse of funds invariably take place in all institutions to a greater or lesser degree but playing fast and loose with the rules in a political context will always draw more attention and criticism.

The Left is different.

For one, where would all the left-wing activists be without public funding? Academics, QuaNGO employees, artists, trade unionists, where would their careers be if it weren’t for some form of public patronage? Would they have an otherwise profitable private sector job? Would they be capable of pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps? Doubtful.

Another important aspect is the significance of the state apparatus in their own worldview. Right-wing activists have the Church, the family, or their business to worry about. Leftists draw their money, familial ties, and morality, from the state. For some, taking into consideration their disregard for the value of life in their own personal connections, the state provides them with offspring and a sense of community. Hence why many leftists advocate for the children to be delivered to the state for their education and upbringing rather than taking the personal responsibility of raising them and being an example for them. Not only do they see children as inconvenient, but their sense of morality is absolutist, therefore being quite intolerant of parallel private competing sources of ethics other than their own universalist one. In other words, if the state is in charge of education, there is less need for debate and for coexistence with dissimilar views, since the narrative will be a monopoly of the government.

Leftist beliefs are inherently totalitarian since the ideal of equality is itself a uniformist absolute principle. This, in turn, means that the pursuit of equality will invariably result in greater levels of corruption.

It is not a coincidence that social democracy is beset by a gangrene of pernicious short term gain nouveau riche mafia coupled with extremist policies and an Orwellian public narrative. Pecuniary and moral corruption are the logical conclusion of leftism, the ultimate end state of the obsession with equality and social justice, of the politics of envy.

‘The laws of my religion are above French laws. Allah is incompatible with your Western way of life.’ Prisoner in Bois-d’Arcy convicted again for glorifying a terrorist deed

On May 6,this year, Roman threw a full bin bag at a guard’s head in his cell. In March, he made his thoughts known by carving them into the walls of his cell and shower. ‘We heard a scream in the park’ – 8-year-old Italian boy’s face disfigured after 3 Roma youths beat him with an iron bar at his own birthday party

An 8-year-old Italian boy was savagely beaten with an iron bar and left severely disfigured after an attack from foreign youths during the victim’s own birthday party in a park in the Fidene suburb of Rome. Despite the severe attack, the three youths will not face any criminal charges.

The suspects are brothers from the Roma community, aged 7, 9 and 11, according to Italian media.

The Italian child was raced to the hospital after the attack on Sept. 12 and underwent emergency surgery, which means his life is no longer in danger. However, the young boy is reportedly disfigured from several facial fractures and will require multiple reconstructive surgeries to repair his shattered face.

“We heard a scream in the park. The party was almost over, and we were cleaning up. One of the children had been punched and hit with an iron rod in his face by three Roma kids,” said Luigi Pascucci, head of the Association of Magnolia Park.

The 8-year-old boy was celebrating his birthday with his friends in the park when the three siblings insulted and beat the victim, reports Italian news outlet Corriere Della Sera.

The parents of the victim were speaking with the parents of the Roma boys when the attack began. The suspects have been detained, but due to their extremely young age, they cannot be held criminally responsible.

“Nothing like this had ever happened,” said the Councilor for the Environment of the Municipality, Matteo Zocchi.

“I was the one who called the ambulance and the police,” adds Pascucci, in a long post on social media. “Given the severity of the wounds from the blows which, according to the doctors, were inflicted with inhuman violence, the little boy underwent surgery and will have to repeat many operations in the future to reconstruct his face.”

The child was discharged on Saturday morning.

Regarding the three Roma brothers, Pascucci adds that they “were recognized by the other children from the photos shown by the policemen.”

The iron bar used in the attack has also been recovered by police. Authorities are looking to see whether the parents can be charged, as they were present during the attack in the park.

At the very least, the children may be taken from the parents, with authorities starting family checks and involving social services.

However, none of that will ever repair the trauma suffered by the 8-year-old Italian boy, whose birthday party became the location of his life-changing injuries.

The residents of that area mainly reported thefts to us, but episodes of aggression like these had never occurred,” said the mayor of the III municipality, President Paolo Emilio Marchionne. “That is an area that has always been very popular where children’s parties are often organized: the association provides tables and chairs for events; there is also a vegetable garden. In short, it’s a place that is usually under control, and apart from a few small thefts, there have never been violent events.”

Meanwhile, another unbelievable explosion of violence from ethnic minorities, who have foreign status in Italy, has led to outrage from the right.

“It is unacceptable that a moment of joy like a birthday turns into an act of violence. We need zero tolerance towards such behavior and a concrete commitment to the supervision of our parks and to education in respect from a young age,” demands the group leader of the Brothers of Italy in the municipality, Manuel Bartolomeo.
