Telegram CEO Pavel Durov Claims French Spy Chief Requested Ban of Romanian Conservatives

Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of the Telegram messaging app, has claimed that the head of France’s foreign intelligence agency asked him to ban Romanian conservatives ahead of the country’s elections, a request he says he refused.

Reuters reports that Pavel Durov, the Russian-born founder of the popular messaging app Telegram, has accused Nicolas Lerner, the head of France’s foreign intelligence agency DGSE, of attempting to interfere in Romania’s recent presidential election. Durov, who is currently under judicial supervision in France and residing at a luxury hotel in Paris, made the startling revelation on Elon Musk’s X.

According to Durov, Lerner approached him at the Salon des Batailles in the Hôtel de Crillon this spring, requesting that he ban conservative voices in Romania ahead of the country’s elections. Durov claims to have refused the request, stating, “We didn’t block protesters in Russia, Belarus, or Iran. We won’t start doing it in Europe.”

The allegations come in the wake of Romania’s presidential election, which saw centrist mayor of Bucharest, Nicusor Dan, secure a victory over his hard-right, nationalist rival George Simion. Simion had pledged to adopt a path inspired by U.S. President Donald Trump’s politics, raising concerns among EU leaders in Brussels about the potential erosion of unity on the continent in dealing with Russia. Simion became the populist candidate after frontrunner Călin Georgescu was indicted in February.

Both the DGSE and the French foreign ministry have denied Durov’s allegations. The DGSE stated that while its officials had met with Durov on various occasions to remind him of his company’s responsibilities in preventing terrorist and child pornography threats, they “vigorously refute the allegations that requests to ban accounts related to any electoral process were made on these occasions.” The French foreign ministry also denied any interference and called on all parties to “exercise responsibility and respect for Romanian democracy.”

Simion, in response to the allegations, said it was unclear whether they were true, but if Durov had been warned, “Telegram was certainly not the only one approached.” Romania’s president-elect, Dan, condemned Durov’s comments as “unauthorized interference by a social media platform in the electoral process” and “a clear attempt to influence the outcome of the Romanian presidential election.”

Romanian media has highlighted Dan’s relationship with France. According to a translation of an article published by Digi24:

Nicuşor Dan showed, speaking in French, that the ties between France and Romania are even older than that.

“Right now, Europe’s main concern is security and I’m happy that there is this NATO Command in Romania, led by French soldiers. This is the first thing we need to develop, if I win the elections. Apart from that, there are all the economic, cultural and academic exchanges. There are hundreds of thousands of Romanians living in France. As you know, I spent a few years in Paris, a long time ago,” the independent candidate said.

Nicuşor Dan also told the French president that ties between France and Romania must be broadened and strengthened.

The accusations have drawn the attention of U.S. billionaire Elon Musk, who reposted Durov’s claim on X with a simple “Wow.” Musk, along with other powerful figures on the U.S. right, has previously accused European nations of suppressing far-right voices. Musk himself is currently under investigation by French prosecutors over alleged algorithmic bias on X.

France’s arrest of Durov last year sparked a debate about free speech online. As Breitbart News previously reported:

Novaya Gazeta Europe reports that in his first public statement since being detained on August 24, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has hit out at the French authorities’ “misguided approach” in arresting him on charges related to the management of the popular messaging app. Durov was indicted on 12 offenses, including administering a platform that permits illicit financial transactions, failure to provide information to authorities, complicity in the distribution of child pornography, drug trafficking, organized crime, and money laundering.

Writing on his personal Telegram channel, Durov expressed his surprise at learning he could be held responsible for the illegal activities of others on the platform. He argued that the established practice when a country is unhappy with an internet service is to initiate legal action against the service itself, not the CEO. “Using laws from the pre-smartphone era to charge a CEO with crimes committed by third parties on the platform he manages is a misguided approach,” Durov stated.

The Telegram CEO warned that holding innovators personally responsible for potential abuse of their tools would discourage the development of new technologies. He emphasized that while Telegram had experienced “growing pains” due to a rapid increase in users, now totaling 950 million, the app was not an “anarchic paradise.” Durov highlighted the efforts of Telegram moderators, who take down “millions” of harmful posts and channels every day.

Preserving France’s Social Model … by Changing Its Population?

Immigration is vital for Europe’s old nations: this is the well-known refrain of the Left. In France, it has just been reiterated in a report by the progressive think tank Terra Nova, which recommends welcoming hundreds of thousands of migrants every year to ensure the “sustainability of the French social model.” The Observatory of Immigration and Demography (OID) responded by vigorously defending the exact opposite conclusion, backed by statistics. The battle is not only ideological; it is also economic.

A voluminous report by Terra Nova, which is known for its decidedly left-wing positions and as a source of inspiration for the French Socialist Party, was published on Monday, May 12th, to defend, once again, the massive influx of immigrants into France. The usual argument is that immigrants are needed to “support the pension system,” which operates in France on a pay-as-you-go basis. This time, the angle taken is broader: immigration is said to be the sine qua non for the survival of the famous ‘French social model’—which everyone agrees is seriously suffering today and no longer convinces many people, either in terms of its effectiveness or its medium- or long-term viability.

According to Terra Nova’s models, between 250,000 and 310,000 immigrant workers must be welcomed each year until 2040-2050 to maintain a sufficient ratio between the working and non-working populations. In 2022, France welcomed 331,000 (legal) immigrants—equivalent to the population of a city like Nantes. However, the overall sentiment in French public opinion is that this level of immigration must be reduced.

“Without immigrant workers, our economy is faltering,” insist the authors of the report, highlighting the need for workers in “high-demand professions” (such as home care and construction) as well as other areas, such as health care (one in five doctors in France today is of foreign origin).

In line with the think tank’s values, Terra Nova’s discourse is ideological rather than economic. To encourage the mass immigration that the French find repugnant, work must be done on raising the ‘acceptability’ of immigration. According to the report’s authors, it will certainly require a strong state propaganda campaign highlighting the benefits of the vivre-ensemble and multiculturalism, to counterbalance the deep-seated feeling among the French that their country no longer belongs to them. The French tend to overestimate the proportion of foreigners in the population, the report suggests, and derive “disproportionate anxiety” from this “misunderstanding.”

Making the native population feel guilty is a discipline that the Left knows well, preferring to talk about a “feeling of insecurity” rather than rampant crime.

Faced with this umpteenth product of pro-immigration propaganda, the Observatory of Immigration and Demography, which aims to inform the debate on immigration with rigorous, data-driven studies, has published a rebuttal designed to dispel the myth that immigration is the only solution and the only future for European societies.

“You don’t change a recipe that fails,” exclaimed its director, Nicolas Pouvreau-Monti, ironically in an op-ed published in Le Figaro in response to Terra Nova.

The Observatory dismantles the progressive think tank’s argument by first attacking its methodological biases. The Terra Nova report assumes that the employment rate of the immigrant population is the same as that of the French population. However, this is absolutely not the case. “The employment rate of foreigners from outside the European Union—those affected by the immigration policy that the study aims to guide—is almost 10 points lower in France than that of French nationals,” Pouvreau-Monti points out in his article, adding that this is one of the lowest rates among all EU countries. Barely half of non-European foreigners currently living in France are actually in employment. And out of ten residence permits granted in France today, only one is for economic reasons. In these circumstances—which are real, not imagined—how can anyone honestly argue that immigration is the engine of employment?

Furthermore, Terra Nova deliberately ignores all the additional population flows caused by labour immigration, which is currently permitted in France by a very broad family reunification policy.

Terra Nova also fails to mention any of the costs generated by immigration, which weigh heavily on the famous ‘social model.’ Poverty, unemployment, poor overall health: immigrants receive, on average, twice as much in social benefits per year as French citizens.

As for the famous myth of pensions financed by immigration, the Left’s reasoning conveniently overlooks the fact that immigrants also grow old … and that their pensions will also have to be financed one day. They are not ‘net contributors’ to French pensions, whose presence would have no impact on the generalised ‘Ponzi scheme’ that is the pay-as-you-go pension system in its current form, according to analyses by Dutch researcher Jan Van de Beek, cited by Pouvreau-Monti.

Finally, it is important to consider—something that Terra Nova will never, ever do—that there are also other effects of immigration, which are apparently unquantifiable but ultimately have an economic impact. The massive arrival of populations who do not share the French way of life or values creates tensions, not to say accelerated deterioration of the living environment and housing—issues the State is then forced to address. The appeal of Seine-Saint-Denis, France’s most immigrant-rich administrative district (or department), highlighted by Terra Nova, depends on billions in public funds aimed at offering modest benefits to those who have the courage to settle in a devastated area.

The work carried out by the Observatory is commendable. On the conservative side, one of the most urgent tasks is indeed to dismantle the myth, so deeply rooted and so well maintained by the Left, that immigration is the only, indispensable and non-negotiable solution for the future of Western countries. This assumption, presented as rational when it is nothing more than the result of ideological bias, is not supported by analysis of the facts or by the figures. If not challenged, it will continue to sterilise political thought, effectively preventing the emergence of any alternative solutions.

Portugal swings to the Right, as Socialists suffer historic defeat

André Ventura X

Portugal’s right-wing parties have triumphed in the country’s third snap general election in three years.

The governing centre-right Democratic Alliance (AD) led by Prime Minister Luís Montenegro, secured 89 seats in the 230-seat parliament with 32 per cent of the vote.

The Democratic Alliance increased its seats by nine from 80 in the previous election, 14 months before.

Montenegro called the result “a great victory”.

“The people want this Government, and they don’t want another”, he said.

“The people want this Government and this Prime Minister to dialogue with the oppositions. But the people also want the opposition to respect and dialogue with this Government and with this Prime Minister,” Montenegro added.

The AD, though, again fell short of a majority, setting the stage for another minority government.

The election’s biggest loser was the Socialist Party, dropping from 28.7 to 23 per cent of the vote, its worst result in the last 40 years and the party’s third-worst result ever.

In reaction to the beating, Socialist Party president Pedro Nuno Santos resigned.

“I take responsibility, as I have always done. I will therefore ask for internal elections, in which I will not be a candidate,” he said in his speech during election night.

On social media, he added, “I will continue to follow the motto of our founder Mário Soares: only those who give up fighting are defeated. Thank you, see you soon!”

The hard right party Chega proved another winner of the elections.

It outperformed polls and rose from 18 to 22.5 per cent, on par with the Socialists. Both groups now have 58 seats in Parliament.

In six years, Chega has risen from 1.3 per cent support at its inception to become the country’s second-biggest party.

With the victory, André Ventura, Chega’s party president, became the leader of the opposition.

Ventura’s personal campaign was shaken when he fell twice in front of the cameras, but it apparently didn’t shake the voters.

“Nothing will be the same as before in Portugal”, Ventura said. “The old guard is truly ending.”

With the polls underestimating his party’s success, Ventura took a swipe at pollsters. “From today, no one will believe in any poll.” he said.

“I warned in time about an injustice that was being committed against more than a million voters.” “It’s time to demand accountability from these companies in Portugal,” he added.

“We really did what no other party had done in Portugal. Today we can officially declare before the entire country with certainty that bipartisanship in Portugal is over,” Ventura emphasised.

Alongside the Socialists, most of Portugal’s other left-wing parties also had a bad election, and combined, Portugal’s Left had a historic weak showing.

The Left Bloc (Bloco de Esquerda), a hard-left party, lost four of its five seats.  The CDU, the Portuguese Communists, fell from three seats to one.

In policy terms, the elections chiefly centred around housing, public services, safety, and immigration.

Montenegro’s government faced criticism from left-wing parties and media for announcing the expulsion of 18,000 irregular migrants before the election.

Some saw the move as aligning with Chega’s anti-immigration stance, though Montenegro ruled out any coalition with them.

Earlier, the elections were triggered by allegations of conflict of interests tied to Montenegro’s family-owned data protection consultancy, Spinumviva, which have spiralled into a broader political crisis.

Montenegro came into power after then-Socialist prime minister António Costa was forced to resign in November 2023, amid a corruption probe into lithium mining and “green” hydrogen projects.

Costa went on to become President of the European Council last December.

Germany: A Munich villa that was supposed to be a kindergarten could now become an asylum center

A daycare center was supposed to be built inside a historic villa at Beuerberger Straße 9 in the Solln district, but after the neighborhood protested against this kindergarten, including with legal actions, the villa could now be an asylum center.

The villa, which formerly housed a publishing house and residential space, was set to be converted to a kindergarten in the spring of 2024, but a court decision is now pending after locals sued against the kindergarten space.

The local district committee was reviewing an application to convert the space to a private daycare last year in May 2024, but did not issue a decision. Now, the Federal Employment Agency (BA) has received an application to convert it to an asylum center, which was put forward by the Green Party’s Alexander Aichwalder, chairman of the subcommittee on construction and planning.

According to German media outlet Hallo München, he cites the Federal Employment Agency’s opinion that from a building law perspective, there is nothing that would keep the house from being converted to social housing for refugees, as no renovations are needed and no trees would need to be removed.

The Federal Employment Agency said that Aichwalder’s proposal might be viewed as an “act of revenge” after residents protested against a daycare, as a home for housing for asylum seekers is expected to be viewed even more harshly than a daycare.

However, the agency acknowledges that Munich needs more accommodations for refugees. As Remix News has reported in the past, Bavaria, where Munich is located, is facing a refugee housing crisis.

There are also other considerations for the villa, including a shelter for homeless women. A final assessment will be issued once an operating concept and information on occupancy figures is finalized.

Cannes Celebs Virtue Signal in Pro-Hamas Letter to Industry – All the usual Progressive suspects signed on

Screengrab youtube

The 78th annual Cannes Film Festival is underway and the pretentious participants wasted no time virtue-signaling their support for the savage terror group Hamas and their self-righteous indignation over Israel’s right to self-defense.

On the filmfest’s opening day, an open letter was published in French on the website of France’s Libération newspaper (which, by the way, was founded by nihilist Jean-Paul Sartre in 1973 as a far-Left daily), in which 380 artistes called out their industry’s purported “silence” over what they ludicrously call a “genocide” in Gaza. The hundreds of Hamas supporters included the usual Progressive suspects Mark Ruffalo, Javier Bardem, Pedro Pascal, and Susan Sarandon.

The letter begins by acknowledging correctly that the October 7, 2023 attacks in Israel were “terrible massacres” (although the letter does not state who committed them or why, because to do that would be to shift the focus/blame from Israel to Jew-hating Palestinians). But then it regurgitates the standard Progressive lies about the Israeli military action in Gaza: “The Israeli army is targeting civilians. More than 200 journalists have been deliberately killed. Writers, film-makers and artists are being brutally murdered.” [Emphasis added]

Let’s set the record straight before moving on. As has been noted many times elsewhere and always ignored by the mainstream media: not only are the Israeli Defense Forces not “targeting civilians,” they are unique in world history for their extraordinary efforts to minimize civilian casualties, especially considering that the enemy Hamas ruthlessly and intentionally puts its own civilians in harm’s way in order to maximize their casualties and exploit them for propaganda purposes. Similarly, the IDF is neither “deliberately” killing journalists (except for ones that moonlight as terrorists) nor “brutally murdering” filmmakers.

The signatories of the letter went on to condemn the film world’s “passivity” toward Israel’s supposed war crimes. That’s odd, because I’m unaware of any letter signed by hundreds of Cannes artists condemning their industry’s silence on actual war crimes committed against Jews by Hamas and its supporters among the Palestinian population, many of whom participated in the aforementioned terrible massacres of October 7th.

Anyway, the letter reads, in part,

Why is it that cinema, a breeding ground for socially committed works, seems to be so indifferent to the horror of reality and the oppression suffered by our sisters and brothers?

As artists and cultural players, we cannot remain silent while genocide is taking place in Gaza and this unspeakable news is hitting our communities hard.

Again, let’s pause for a fact check: the letter’s signers apparently are confused about the definition of the word “genocide,” which most people understand means the deliberate eradication of an entire people. And yet since 1990 the so-called Palestinians have been one of the fastest-growing populations in the world, booming from 1.98 million to 5.17 million people in 2023 (the 2025 estimate is over 5.5 million). This is a growth of over 161 percent in 33 years (in the same period, the total population of all countries worldwide increased by 52.7 percent). The Palestinian population is growing at about 2.4% per year, which is 33% higher than Israel’s growth rate.

In Gaza specifically, the population is about 2.2 million, one of the most densely populated regions in the world. At its current growth, the total size of the population in the Palestinian territories is projected to increase to 6.9 million in 2030 and to 9.5 million in 2050. If Israel has been waging genocide against them for many years as its detractors constantly claim, it is surely the most inept mass murder attempt in history.

The letter continues:

What is the point of our professions if not to draw lessons from history, to make films that are committed, if we are not present to protect oppressed voices?

The point of your profession is to entertain, not to protect oppressed voices, but let’s move on:

The far right, fascism, colonialism, anti-trans and anti-LGBTQIA+, sexist, racist, islamophobic and antisemitic movements are waging their battle on the battlefield of ideas, attacking publishing, cinema and universities, and that’s why we have a duty to fight.

What this grab-bag of Left-wing complaints has to do with protecting the “oppressed” voices of the Palestinians is unclear, until you understand that all of these intersectional social justice issues are linked in the neo-Marxist worldview. And yet the selective Left never complains that there are very few territories on earth more sexist, antisemitic, anti-trans and anti-LGBTQIA+ than the Gaza strip.

“Let us rise up…” the letter concludes. “Let us reject the propaganda that constantly colonizes our imaginations and makes us lose our sense of humanity.” This is pure Progressive projection; it is the Left that is pushing propaganda to colonize the imaginations of our impressionable youth and to sway the ignorant and the antisemitic into believing that Israel is an apartheid state and the Palestinian people are its oppressed victims.

Other actors and filmmakers subsequently added their names to the list of the letter’s original signers, notably Joaquin Phoenix (The Joker) (pictured above with Pedro Pascal), Pan’s Labyrinth director Guillermo del Toro, French actress Juliette Binoche (The English Patient), and of course, the Cannes crowd’s favorite documentary propagandist, Michael Moore.

The celebrities and wannabes of the film world, who as I’ve pointed out many times live in the most tightly-sealed echo chamber of any demographic in the world, justify their privileged lives to themselves by believing they are compassionate, heroic champions of the downtrodden. They are in denial about the fact, demonstrated by their inability to move the needle for Kamala Harris in the last presidential election, that the more stridently political and polarizing they become, the less relevant and influential they are.

Trzaskowski and Nawrocki head to runoff in tight Polish presidential race

Karol Nawrocki
photo: @NawrockiKn on X, 2 January 2025

Rafał Trzaskowski and Karol Nawrocki will face each other in the second round of Poland’s presidential election after securing the top two spots in Sunday’s first round, according to an exit poll by Ipsos.

Neither candidate achieved the absolute majority required to win outright, prompting a runoff vote scheduled for June 1.

Trzaskowski, the Civic Platform candidate and current mayor of Warsaw, finished first with 30.8 percent of the vote. Nawrocki, backed by the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party, trailed closely with 29.1 percent.

The rest of the field trailed far behind. Right-wing Confederation candidate Sławomir Mentzen received 15.4 percent, followed by fellow nationalist Grzegorz Braun with 6.2 percent.

Left-wing candidate Adrian Zandberg took 5.2 percent of the vote, while Szymon Hołownia, a centrist and current Speaker of the Polish parliament, secured 4.8 percent. Other candidates, including Magdalena Biejat, Krzysztof Stanowski, Joanna Senyszyn, Marek Jakubiak, Artur Bartoszewicz, Maciej Maciak, and Marek Woch, each achieved nominal support.

Speaking on election night, Nawrocki framed the runoff as a national struggle against the influence of Donald Tusk and the Civic Platform. “We must stop Donald Tusk’s march to unipower,” he declared. Calling for a “great march for Poland” in Warsaw on May 25, he invited “all those for whom Poland is important, regardless of your political views.”

Emphasizing his platform of change, Nawrocki added, “Only the candidate of change is needed by the Republic of Poland. A candidate to change what is happening in Poland today… First Poland, first Poles. Long live Poland! To victory!”

Trzaskowski also addressed supporters on Sunday evening, stressing the importance of determination heading into the final vote. “This result shows how strong we must be, how determined we must be to win the presidential election,” he said.

“I told you eight months ago that it was going to be very, very close. And it’s very close. I am very happy that I won the first round, but there is a lot of work ahead of us.”

“We are going for victory,” Trzaskowski continued. “Full determination is needed. Your votes are needed. We need to convince everyone.”

The second-round vote will decide who replaces incumbent President Andrzej Duda, whose term is coming to an end.

BRAZIL: Woman Under Police Investigation For Criminal “Transphobia” After Posting a Joke Online, Faces Up to Three Years in Prison

A woman in Brazil is currently under police investigation for “transphobia” after she posted a joke online about archaeologists being able to discern a person’s sex by observing differences in bone structure. Speaking at a women’s rights protest in Rio de Janeiro in April, Karen Mizuno revealed that she was notified by police that she was facing possible criminal charges because she had mocked a trans activist who had stated that “archaeologists are transphobic.”

Mizuno explained that her ordeal began after an article was circulated about Lucy, a well-known fossil of a female human ancestor which dates back approximately 3.2 million years.

“The situation was, there was an article going around about the bones belonging to the fossil of Lucy, and how the archaeologists found out that she was a woman, because of the pelvic bone,” Mizuno said. “Trans activists were saying that attesting that Lucy was a woman, because of her female pelvic bone, was transphobia. In other words, they said she could be a trans man. They really think that someone who lived three million years ago had a ‘gender identity.’ It’s an unreasonable argument, an anachronism.”

She continued: “I took screen shots of the tweet with these accusations of alleged ‘transphobia’ by the archaeologists, which said exactly the following: ‘This tweet reminds me of something I never see people talking about. Archaeologists are indeed transphobic. That so-called Lucy, for example, are they inferring she was a woman based on the bones alone? Does that mean that if I die, in 500 or 5000 years someone might disrespect my gender because of that?”

Mizuno took a screen shot of the comment and posted it with her own commentary, writing: “With each passing day, human extinction ceases to become a fear and becomes something to hope for.” Mizuno explains that it was intended to be a light-hearted joke.

“I said nothing about ‘trans,’ there was no hateful speech, I only suggested that the question in the post was ridiculous, and clamored for the extinction of the planet.”

Mizuno told Reduxx that months later, two police officers came to her home to notify her that a criminal investigation had been opened into her comments.

“I was notified on November 19, 2024. The police came to my house but I wasn’t at home. They told my mother if I didn’t go to the police station on the scheduled date they would arrest me,” she said. “In other words, I could literally be arrested for agreeing with the archaeologists that a 3 million year-old fossil, which had a female pelvis, had been a woman.”

Mizuno explains that police first became aware of her while they were probing the social media of Isabela Cêpa, another women’s rights activist who they were similarly investigating for criminal “transphobia.” As previously reported by Reduxx, Cêpa has been threatened with up to 25 years in prison for “misgendering” a transgender politician named Erika Hilton.

Hilton was elected to São Paolo’s municipal government in November of 2020, winning his seat by a landslide that gave him the title of the most voted-for ‘woman’ in Brazil.

At the time of his victory, Hilton was celebrated in international media as being a “symbolic triumph” for transgender people. Hilton was amongst the top 10 most-voted for candidates in all of Brazil, and was touted as the “only woman” to make the list. Hilton filed a criminal complaint against Cêpa after she referred to him as a “man” on social media, noting that the “most voted for woman in Brazil is a man.”

Cêpa has been under criminal investigation for years, and her social media is reportedly combed by authorities regularly as they gather “evidence” of her transphobic views.

After Cêpa shared Mizuno’s archeology joke, police decided to place her under investigation for transphobia as well.

The criminal complaint against Mizuno mentions Cêpa by name, and indicates that the complaint against Mizuno was lodged after law enforcement conducted an “investigation” into posts from other accounts shared by Cêpa.

“The owner of the Twitter account ISA @afeminisa, identified as Isabel Alves Cêpa, had made a transphobic post related to councilwoman Erika Hilton,” the criminal complaint states.

“After the conclusion of the investigations, the Prosecutor’s Office carried out research on this account, observing that Isabela had republished posts shared from third parties, also transphobic, denying transgender women their gender identity.”

Mizuno’s legal defense is herself a former member of PSOL who was expelled from her role as a co-deputy for the Legislative Assembly of São Paulo on the basis of “transphobia.” Attorney Raquel Marques was expelled from PSOL in 2021 after she made a social media post which was intended to call attention to the rights of children and youth who were being denied an education during COVID-19 pandemic policies.

“I hope one day the disrespect for the rights of children and adolescents will generate the same outrage in the minds of the left that transphobia causes,” Marques wrote.

On February 2, 2021, Marques shared the news of her suspension from PSOL along with her feelings of shock and betrayal. “The shocking justification was two posts where I defended the importance of children and adolescents’ rights and their meaning was distorted to accuse me, an LGBTQ+ woman, of transphobia. Defending children’s rights is a capital crime, as you can see.”

Speaking to Reduxx, Mizuno explains that all of Brazil is facing a “very difficult situation” with respect to its embrace of gender ideology and gender self-identification. Despite being a very conservative country, Brazil has some of the most extensive laws against transphobia in the world. In 2019, Brazil’s Supreme Federal Court ruled that discrimination against ‘LGBTQ Community’ constituted a penal offense, but fell under existing race-based protections as a form of “social racism.”

“The actual government and the left here is sponsored by some international NGOs that imposes their demands, ones that are not accepted by the people and only serve to divide and conquer. But now that the US Government has changed and USAID has stopped, the ‘activists’ here who were sponsored by them are desperate,” Mizuno explains.

“I’m associated with MATRIA, which is an organization of women who are critical of the gender self-identification laws,” she says. “We are trying to resist [gender ideology] and have had some victories in favor of child safeguarding, like the ban on puberty blockers on kids. The Federal Council of Medicine also raised the minimum age for prescribing cross-sex hormones to 18, and have now banned transgender surgeries that would cause sterilization until 21. But trans activists are mad and organizing marches to try to pressure the government to reverse these changes.”

If Mizuno is found guilty of the crime of “transphobia,” she could face a prison sentence of up to 3 years.

Syrian commits Islamist terrorist attack on student pub in Bielefeld, Germany – 5 victims, some critically injured

Tonight, a brutal knife attack shook the city of Bielefeld. At around midnight, a 24-year-old Syrian man stormed the popular student bar ‘Cutie’ in the historic city centre and seriously injured five people, two of whom are in mortal danger. The police have classified the offence as a targeted attack, possibly with a terrorist background, and have launched an extensive investigation.
According to media reports, the perpetrator, a 24-year-old Syrian asylum seeker, entered the popular bar in Bielefeld’s old town and, without warning, pulled out his murder weapon – a so-called cane sword, a combination of a cane and a blade – and stabbed the guests. Panic broke out within seconds. Guests fled, tables were overturned and screams filled the room.
Five people, including two students aged 22 and 24, were seriously injured. Two of the victims had to undergo emergency surgery and were in a critical condition after the attack. The injuries ranged from deep stab wounds to the upper body to severe cuts to the limbs.
The perpetrator was pulled down by guests, but was able to pull himself together, break free and flee on foot. In the process, the assassin lost his rucksack. In it: more weapons and a bottle of flammable liquid. Also a residence permit issued to a Syrian.

Screengrab youtube

And – as usual: according to the police, the perpetrator was already known to the authorities, but not for extremist activities, but for ‘minor offences’ such as theft and assault. His asylum application was still being processed. The police are currently investigating whether the perpetrator had links to extremist groups. So far, there is no claim of responsibility or concrete evidence of a terrorist network, but the brutality of the offence and the weapons he was carrying point to an Islamic-motivated act.
The police have carried out a major manhunt at the scene and cordoned off a large area of the old town. In addition, ‘due to the politically explosive nature of the crime’, the police set up a special organisation (BAO) to ensure the deployment of many officers from different authorities under a unified command and coordination.

journalistenwatc

Witnesses report a second object – a cane sword, a martial weapon more reminiscent of past centuries than of nightlife in North Rhine-Westphalia.
The police no longer describe it as an attack, but as a planned assault. The perpetrator, who managed to escape, left behind a rucksack with disturbing contents: flammable liquid, other weapons – and an official document issued to a Syrian national. The homicide squad, known internally as the ‘Kurfürst’, has taken over the investigation. They are working at full speed because the perpetrator is still on the run – and armed.
