Zelenskiy planned an attack on Hungary

Behind closed doors, the Ukrainian president becomes driven by aggressive instincts, which is in stark contrast to the calm, stoic statesman he plays in public – The Washington Post writes about this. The patina American paper came to this conclusion on the basis of US intelligence documents, the authenticity of which is not disputed by the Pentagon.

These are secret reports that have not been leaked before and spread on the Discord messaging platform. The Washington Post also got access to it from there.

The information now made public is part of a package of data known as the Pentagon Papers, which was shared on social media by 21-year-old Jack Teixeira.

What are the newly leaked US intelligence documents about the Ukrainian president?

It is clear from the secret documents that the leader of Ukraine would steer the course of the war in a dangerous direction, to put it mildly:

– made a proposal to occupy Russian villages in order to expand his influence near Moscow,
– wanted to achieve the bombing of a pipeline that delivers Russian oil to a NATO member state (we will return to this later – ed.),
– and acquire long-range missiles that could be used to attack targets within Russia’s internationally recognized borders.

Each point would clearly lead to an escalation of the already dramatic Russian-Ukrainian war. Zelenskyi’s plans are detailed in secret service materials that processed the Ukrainian president’s internal communications with his top aides and military leaders.

It’s a shame to beautify it: American spies wiretapped Zelenskyi, thus gaining access to rare insightful information.

What did Zelenskyi plan against Hungary?

The Washington Post also reported on a memo that was made in mid-February this year and recorded a meeting between Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko and Zelensky. The Ukrainian president raised nothing less than that

Ukraine should blow up the Friendship pipeline that supplies Hungary with Russian crude oil.

“Zelensky stated that Ukraine should simply blow up the pipeline because it could destroy Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán’s industry, which is heavily based on Russian crude oil,” the American newspaper quoted the relevant document as saying.

At the same time, they added: when detailing the ominous conversation, the US intelligence officials emphasized that the Ukrainian president “expressed his anger towards Hungary and was therefore able to formulate exaggerated, senseless threats”.

The probability of this can be somewhat strengthened by the fact that this type of classification from American spies does not accompany the reports in which Zelensky proposes further bold military actions, so on this basis it can be classified as a truly unique outburst.

However, the picture is clouded by the fact that already last spring, the Ukrainian government threatened the Hungarian government that “anything can happen to the Friendship Pipeline” if it is not a partner in fully accepting the sanctions against Russia. In other words, it seems that the Ukrainian president’s words were not necessarily born of anger at the moment.
