Two men stopped by the police in Zug on Monday night are suspected of having killed two goats while drunk in Oberwil ZG. According to the Zug police spokesman, evidence points to this.
Frank Kleiner, spokesman for the Zug police, confirmed an online report by the “Zuger Zeitung” newspaper on Monday evening at the request of the Keystone-SDA news agency. According to the police spokesman, the emergency services were able to recover the murder weapon, a knife, at the scene.
Residents had alerted the police at around 3.30 a.m. because of two very drunk men who were apparently on the rampage in Oberwil. A patrol checked on these men and, according to Kleiner, also came across two dead goats whose bellies had been slit open.
The two heavily intoxicated men were “strongly suspected of having killed the goats”, Kleiner is quoted as saying in the report. Corresponding traces indicated this. According to the police spokesman, the suspects are two asylum seekers aged 26 and 30. Their origins were not disclosed. A possible motive is currently unknown.
