Stabbings, shouts of “Allahu-Akbar”: People injured in mass brawls in German refugee shelter

Syrians against Turks: Mass brawls in an asylum centre keep Berlin police busy! First some people pushed their way in during meals, then the music was too loud, then knives were drawn.
Turkish Kurds and Syrians clashed at the arrival centre in Berlin. One or other of them pushed their way in when dinner was being served. What was initially settled verbally escalated at 1.45 am. Because the music of another group was too loud, they ended up beating each other up. The police had to be called to restore peace. But it didn’t last long …
Around 4 a.m., there were 100 men attacking each other. Knives were also drawn, but there was only one thing the parties to the dispute agreed on: “Allahu Akbar”. They repeatedly shouted that their God was greater – then they continued to beat each other up. Three men were injured, reports the Bild newspaper. But the asylum seekers still didn’t want to draw a line under it. Hours later, 300 men were involved in a wild brawl. “By the time our colleagues arrived with a large contingent, the situation had calmed down, but was still very emotional and heated,” a police officer is quoted as saying in the German newspaper.
