Two men were arrested by the Oviedo municipal police in the early hours of Good Friday after disrupting the ‘La Madrugá’ procession, organised by the Students’ Brotherhood in the Asturian capital. According to sources questioned by EL COMERCIO, the incident took place in a bar on Calle San Francisco, right in the middle of the procession route, in which several thousand worshippers were taking part. Apparently, several people shouted: “I’m not going to keep quiet because of a bloody procession!”, whilst the rest of the participants waited in awed silence in front of the historic building for the float bearing the statue of Christ. Given the risk of public disorder, two officers were deployed to the scene.
Inside the building, officers from the Public Safety Department identified an individual behaving in a hostile manner. According to the same sources, the man then struck an officer, leading to his immediate arrest on suspicion of assaulting a police officer. However, the incident did not end there. In view of the continuing tensions, another officer intervened to address the other individuals involved and urge them to desist from their behaviour. During this intervention, another man refused to cooperate with the officers and even went so far as to shout “I am a Muslim!” in defiance of the police’s orders.
After the man continued his behaviour and resisted arrest, he was led out of the building, where he continued to behave aggressively and even grabbed one of the officers by his service vest. He was subsequently arrested and charged with serious resistance. (…)

Muslims who believe Christ was never crucified, and then disrupt Good Friday Services should be deported ASAP.
