Politically correct: Berlin police search for “male read” suspects in traditional Afghan clothing

This press release from the Berlin police has left people baffled. Last year, three previously unknown perpetrators allegedly first insulted a man in a homophobic manner, then later beat him up and robbed him. Officers are now using photos to search for suspects “read as male”.
The Berlin police make no mention of the (obvious) migrant background in their manhunt. However, the rather striking traditional Afghan clothing of one of the three men would probably be more conspicuous than the fact that the trio is said to read as male. In a press release, this point is even the first and obviously the most important characteristic for the manhunt.

The Vienna police have also caused a stir with such “correctness”. Last year, eXXpress reported that the officers had probably swapped the sheriff’s star for the gender star: On social media, there is talk of suspects* who encounter police officers* in Vienna.
