“I can’t sleep at night,” said one resident, who wished to remain anonymous out of fear of retaliation. “The noise from the mosque is too much. I have to work in the morning, but I can’t get any rest because of the loud prayers and chanting that goes on all night.”
Many residents have even reported feeling unsafe, with one admitting that he no longer leaves his home without his dogs due to the fear of being attacked again.
Other residents have expressed frustration with the parking situation in the area. “There are cars everywhere,” said another resident. “It’s impossible to find a parking spot. I have to park several blocks away and walk to my apartment, which is especially difficult when I come home from work during the early morning hours.”
Some residents have even reported feeling unsafe in their own neighborhoods. “I’ve seen people loitering around the mosque late at night,” said another resident. “I don’t know what they’re doing, but it makes me nervous. I’ve lived in this area for years and never felt so uncomfortable in my neighborhood.”
