On Sunday afternoon, the police were called to the Catholic church of Maria Königin des Friedens in Osnabrück for a strange incident.
According to current information, six (possibly seven) men entered the church during the Catholic mass at around 11.40 am. The men stood side by side in a threatening manner and spoke loudly. They pointed at various areas and individual people, which many visitors found intimidating. The men then moved to the back of the church and handed out leaflets. As they did so, they shouted expressions such as “demon” and “sons of bitches” or phrases such as “The church is a whore” and “You are all mass murderers”.
The priest and the church council attempted to intervene and issued several bans from the premises. To no avail. By the time the police arrived, the men were no longer at the scene.
