A demonstrator has attacked the AfD politician Beatrix von Storch in a small town in Rhineland-Palatinate – apparently with feces. According to the police, he had previously pretended to want to take a photo with her. The AfD has been at a poll high in the federal government for several months and is currently at values around 20 percent.
