According to police, the man was prevented from getting back onto the platform after being pushed onto the track bed by his attacker. Despite emergency braking, he was hit by an approaching freight train and seriously injured.
Following an appeal for a warrant and an intensive search with a large contingent consisting of a total of 20 police car crews and two police helicopters, including five patrols and one helicopter of the Federal Police, the police were able to arrest both perpetrators in a shared accommodation for asylum seekers on Wednesday, after witnesses had given evidence.
