Because she became pregnant after an arranged marriage and did not want to have an abortion, she was supposed to die. These are terrible scenes involving a family from Munich, which the public prosecutor’s office formulates in its indictment!

Family tyrant Mohammed Y. (57) has been in the dock at the Munich I Regional Court since Tuesday, charged with attempted murder and attempted abortion.
The cook allegedly tried to smash his pregnant daughter-in-law’s head with a hammer last year. But Ayla Y. (27, name altered) survived after an emergency operation, but she lost her unborn child.
In 2011, Ayla Y., who was only 15 years old at the time, was married to Mohammed Y.’s son. After the arranged marriage, she arrived in Munich from Afghanistan in 2015 and lived with her husband’s family. But there were tensions.

“The accused was highly dissatisfied with his daughter-in-law, complaining about her cooking skills and because she used too much electricity and water when washing and doing the dishes,” the prosecution said.

In 2020, Ayla Y. gave birth to her first child. The grandson also bothered the tyrannical head of the family. “He was bothered when his grandson screamed,” the prosecution said. He accused his daughter-in-law of not calming the child sufficiently.

In 2022, the young woman became pregnant again. But instead of being happy about the second grandchild, Mohammed Y. wanted to force her to have an abortion. According to the indictment, Mohammed Y. decided “that she should not have another child”.

Ayla Y. refused, so the head of the family went berserk. “I wanted to keep the child. He grabbed me by the hair, threw me to the ground, then he hit me with a hammer,” the woman said in court, crying.
In order not to have to face her father-in-law, she was questioned via video link.

According to the indictment, her father-in-law beat her head 17 times with a locksmith’s hammer, and another 15 times on her neck and upper body. As he did so, he allegedly said, “You’ve lost.” Then he dropped the hammer and called the police himself.

Ayla was taken to hospital in critical condition with an open craniocerebral trauma. In addition, her jaw was broken and she had 17 open wounds on her face. She was in hospital for five months and subsequently had an abortion.
In court, Mohammed Y. claimed that his daughter-in-law had attacked him with a hammer. He had taken the tool from her, “what happened afterwards, I can’t remember”.

The cook now faces up to 15 years in prison, a verdict is due at the end of October. His daughter-in-law is still scarred and severely traumatised. She said in court: “Ever since I was in Munich, I lived in fear.
