Police officers were called to a doctor’s surgery in Wedding yesterday afternoon. They found the 76-year-old owner lifeless in the practice in Genter Straße at around 3.45 pm. He died on the spot despite resuscitation attempts by the emergency services. A homicide is suspected, which is why the 8th Homicide Commission and the Berlin public prosecutor’s office have taken over the further investigation.
The doctor was still on trial on Tuesday, as the public prosecutor’s office accused him of insulting former Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck. In October 2022, Conzelmann allegedly published a caricature of Habeck on Facebook that was reminiscent of a propaganda image from the Nazi era. The image was apparently reported by a Green Party ministry.
