France: An illegal Syrian migrant shouts “Allahu Akbar” in front of a school and a synagogue

One man was arrested in the 19th arrondissement of Paris on Sunday October 8. The man, who claimed to be Syrian, had shouted “Allahu Akbar” in front of a school and synagogue at around 1.50 pm.

On Tuesday October 10, he was brought before a court under an immediate warrant for “repeated death threats on religious grounds” and “violence against a public official which did not result in the inability to work”. The case was adjourned to November 20 and the accused was remanded in custody. Bfm

On the same day, another person was arrested near the ACIP synagogue in the 16th arrondissement of the capital. He is accused of shouting “dirty Jews, that 150 dead is not much. There should have been more” shouting outside the place of worship at around 1.55pm.

He was brought before the court on October 10, 2023, for “glorifying terrorism” and “repeated death threats on religious grounds” in an immediate summons. The case was adjourned to November 20 and the accused was placed under judicial supervision. BFM
