At 10.55am on Sunday, a man stormed into a mass at the Basilica of Notre-Dame in Nice, shouting “Allah” while making incoherent speeches. The troublemaker, a 46-year-old Senegalese man with a valid residence permit, Djily D., was arrested and taken into police custody for drug abuse. He was known to the prosecutor for armed assault and was forcibly hospitalised.
