The man ran around on Avenue Jean-Jaurès in Lyon and then got on a bus where he was stopped. Witnesses reported “unintelligible screams” and “strange sounds”.
A young man aged around 20 was arrested on board a TCL bus on Route de Vienne in the 8th arrondissement at 4pm on a Wednesday October 11, police sources told BFM Lyon.
Earlier in the afternoon, he had threatened passers-by in Avenue Jean-Jaurès by displaying a stabbing weapon and shouting “Allah Akbar”. The alarm was raised by employees of a sports club.
