An individual wearing a djellaba was arrested on Sunday morning at the Ablon-sur-Seine station (Val-de-Marne), served by the RER C, after attempting to stab a man while shouting ‘Allah Akbar,’ Le Figaro learned from police sources. At around 11 a.m., the man in the djellaba asked two men ‘if they were Muslims,’ our source said.
The first replied yes, while the second chose not to answer. This lack of response apparently angered the man, who repeatedly shouted ‘Allah Akbar’ and attempted to stab him with a box cutter. At the same time, the attacker also struck the victim with a wooden table leg, which he was holding in his other hand.
