Epstein Files Might Take Down UK PM Keir Starmer; even though PM Starmer has done things a thousand times worse

There’s some poetic justice in that. Starmer’s people did everything possible to keep Trump from being elected. And while the Epstein files haven’t told us much that we didn’t already know (elites loved Epstein, some possible Russian and Qatari ties) and the Clinton House testimony isn’t likely to be a game changer, the effects on the other side of the pond are different.

The British Labour opposition to Starmer from the Corbynite left and the Blairite centrists are calling for his resignation over the appointment of an Epstein linked ambassador. If that doesn’t quite seem like a big enough deal to Americans, the UK is a parliamentary democracy which means a backstabbing snake pit in which members of your own party and the media can start shouting SCANDAL loudly enough at the right opportunity and then start forcing resignation. In short, few American presidents would have survived a single term a UK PM.

PM Starmer has done things a thousand times worse, like the mass arrests of critics of Islam, legalizing blasphemy law and putting an Islamic terror supporter in charge of national security, but those were not ‘scandals’. This however is.

I’d say that despite the outcry, the odds are that he may survive it, but the odds are also narrow. And it depends on how much internal insecurity there is. Labour has been running a massive propaganda campaign to promote Starmer’s regime  but if the internal numbers are bad, they’ll take the opportunity to dump him and likely put up someone worse.
