The Guilford County Democrat party just yanked its support from Shelly Kates Headen, their candidate for the North Carolina House. I rarely like what Democrats do, but that’s outstanding. They should have yanked their support the moment this photo surfaced.
Shelly wants a seat in the state legislature. One of her campaign posts shows her visiting the Dachau concentration camp in Germany — the Nazi facility where tens of thousands of Jews and other prisoners were murdered and then burned. She isn’t standing at the main gate, under the infamous Arbeit Macht Frei (“Labor Liberates You”) sign. She’s posing right in front of the cremation ovens.

And she’s smiling sweetly, as if she’s visiting Disney World, standing next to a kid in a Mickey Mouse costume. For the love of God, understand the symbolism here.
But then you see her caption: “This is where Trump supporters belong[.]”
When I first saw that campaign post, I had to stop reading for a moment. It made my blood run cold. Standing in front of the very ovens that reduced human beings to ash, Shelly Kates Headen added a caption, suggesting that Trump supporters belong in those ovens.
That is not political disagreement. That is a bloodlust fantasy, dressed up as progressive virtue. Now look at the larger pattern.
Democrats have hitched their wagon to a growing roster of Muslim candidates who bring a very different vision of the future: Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan, Zohran Mamdani in New York, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and others.
In New Jersey, Darializa Chevalier co-founded a university group whose charter endorses the Palestinians, and “demands” Columbia University take an anti-Israel approach in its policies.
Most Americans still can’t pronounce half these names, yet these are the people Democrats are elevating to decide the country’s direction.
Abdul El-Sayed is a natural-born citizen like Hasan Piker, and a polished speaker — charismatic in the same way Barack Obama was. He just won a Senate primary. Give him a few years in Washington, and he’ll be positioned exactly where Obama was in 2008. Perhaps he’ll run for president. There are no coincidences. There is only the illusion of coincidence.
Hitler understood the same principle, and so did Stalin: march through the institutions. Hitler fielded entire brigades of Muslim volunteers from the Balkans and the Middle East. The officers were German. The troops were Muslim.
By 1943, 54 of 79 Eastern Legion infantry battalions were Muslim or Muslim-dominated. The 13th Waffen-SS Handschar Division was recruited mainly from Bosnian Muslims. The 21st Waffen-SS Skanderbeg Division came from Albanian Muslims in Kosovo and Albania.
The word “Handschar” itself refers to the scimitar — the curved Muslim sword. That was symbolic, but their job wasn’t abstract ideology or symbolism. It was brutal security operations: anti-partisan sweeps, and violence against civilians, including Jews and Serbs. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum notes that individual soldiers from these units took part in capturing and killing Jews in hiding.
Against the massive Red Army, the Nazis were desperate for manpower. The Turkestan Legion was recruited from Soviet POWs, principally from Muslim peoples of Soviet Central Asia.
The alliance between Nazi socialists and Muslims was no accident then, nor is it ancient history. The current alliance between American socialists and Muslims is no accident now. There are no coincidences.
The America I want is simple. I want families free to practice whatever faith they choose — Orthodox, Reform, or Hasidic Judaism; Catholic, Presbyterian, Southern Baptist, or Jehovah’s Witness. Or no organized religion at all: just a quiet belief in God, and an afternoon with a barbecue grill, watching the Cubs lose, or the Bears finally win the Super Bowl again.
This is the Chicago I know and love. That is the great nation generations of Americans built and defended.
The other future is the one El-Sayed, Chevalier, Tlaib, Omar, AOC, Pressley, and their DSA enablers appear comfortable with: burqas as the expected women’s dress code, a jizya tax on non-Muslims, and local rules that keep non-Muslim houses lower than the mosque next door.
The tallest building in every town becomes the minaret, by law. I do not choose that future for myself, for my son, or for your children. Neither should you. So do something about it.
Help your local Republican candidates walk the streets. Knock doors. Make phone calls. Get out the vote. The alternatives are already posing with a sweet smile in front of the ovens, and telling us exactly where they think we belong.
