Another act of violence at Alexanderplatz in Berlin, Germany: One man stabbed to death in a knife fight among Syrians (VIDEO)

Another bloody deed at the hotspot Alexanderplatz! Cops are arresting a killer. His hands are wrapped in paper bags for forensics. The 23-year-old just stabbed a man who was shooting at him with a alarm gun. The crime took place only a few hundred yards from Alex’s police station.Again and again violence breaks out in the crime-ridden place. In the night from Friday to Friday a fight ended under the television tower with a fatal stabbing. Several Syrian citizens clashed in the Panorama Street. One of the men (22 years old) is said to have aimed a 23-year-old man at close range with a alarm gun. When he fired, the 23-year-old is said to have flipped out. He had pulled a knife and stabbed the armed opponent and his 21-year-old companion. The knife attack left both men with several stab and cut injuries.

The older one collapsed covered in blood and lost consciousness. Alerted rescue workers resuscitated him for about an hour. But the 22-year-old had lost too much blood. He died in the ambulance. The 21-year-old was taken to a hospital for emergency surgery. He survived with severe injuries.

Police from section 57 arrested the 23-year-old at the scene near the fountains. The suspect admitted to the officers that he had thrown the murder weapon into the fountain. The knife was recovered. A homicide squad took over the investigation.Alexanderplatz is one of a total of ten places in Berlin with a high crime rate. There are regular brawls, stabbings, robberies and pickpocketing. Almost three years after the opening of a new police station, Alexanderplatz continues to be a crime hot spot. Last year alone, the police recorded about 900 cases of violence. Projected to the whole year 2019, the number of crimes on Alexanderplatz was about 7500, compared to 6767 in 2018.
