A ‘trans woman’ has killed nine people in gun-controlled Canada

A horrible tragedy occurred yesterday in Canada when a killer, later identified as a “trans identifying woman,” shot nine people to death and injured 27 others, before turning the gun on himself. The Canadian establishment has been desperate to hide the truth about the shooter, but this was not a secret the establishment could sit on.

The shooting took place at the Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in tiny Tumbler Ridge, a remote rural community in British Columbia. The killer began by murdering two people at a home, then headed for the secondary school (grades 7-12), where he opened fire. Six people died on school grounds, and one died en route to the hospital.

The initial police alert described the shooter as “a female in a dress with brown hair.” (Clearly, they meant a brown-haired female, not a brown-haired dress.) Almost instantly, though, social media users (me included) posited that the shooter was probably a member of the mentally-ill cohort who claim to be the opposite of their biological sex:

The guess was a reasonable one, given the disproportionate number of so-called “transgender” mass shootings in the last few years: In 2018, a “trans woman” killed three in Aberdeen, Maryland; in 2019, a “trans man,” working with a partner, killed one and injured eight in Highlands Ranch, Colorado; in 2022, a “non-binary” person killed five and injured 19 in Colorado Springs, Colorado; in 2023, a “trans man” killed six in Nashville, Tennessee; and in August 2025, a “trans woman” killed three in Minneapolis, Minnesota. And while Tyler Robinson, soon to be tried for assassinating Charlie Kirk, does not identify as “trans,” he was in a romantic relationship with a man who did.

Considering what a small percentage of the population so-called “transgender” people are, they’ve racked up a high body count just in America.

Add in the fact that women are rarely mass shooters unless, like the Nashville shooter, they, too, are in the grip of “transgender” madness, and it was a pretty safe bet that the “female in a dress” was a man. (It’s like a bad version of the old saw: “That was no lady, that was my wife,” only this version goes “that was no lady, that was a ‘transwoman’.”)

We were correct, of course:

There are no “transgender” people. Other than an infinitesimally small cohort of people who are either male or female, but who have extra chromosomes that interfere with their physical sexual presentation, there are only two sexes.

What there are, however, are mentally ill people. Some suffer from multiple simultaneous mental illnesses, while some are responding to societal factors (e.g., disastrous family lives, including mothers with personality disorders, or societal pressure, especially from peer groups and social media).

I also believe that some are reflecting the Pill’s ubiquity (whether because their mothers took it close to the pregnancy or because it’s in the water), which is altering the hormonal wash babies receive in utero. If that’s the case, the best way to treat trans people would be to give them hormones aligning with their biological sex.

If leftists weren’t politically committed to the fantasy of so-called transgenderism, these mentally, physically, or societally ill people would get the help they need. This help would come in the form of therapy, medication, or even institutionalization. What they wouldn’t get is the constant assurance that all is right with them, no matter how miserably unhappy they are. The problem, these wretched people are told, is the outer world. Add in prescription hormones that make naturally aggressive men emotional or that make naturally emotional women aggressive, and you’ve got violence.

Of course, the Canadian establishment will not acknowledge this reality. It’s sticking to the “female” shooter narrative:

The one thing you can expect to come out of Canada now is an even more aggressive push for total gun control in a country that is already one of the most heavily controlled countries in the world.

But of course, gun control is a fiction that simply places more power in the government. The reality is that, despite its gun control policies, Canada has had several high-profile mass shootings in the last two decades.

Excluding generic gang killings in urban areas (and there have been a lot of those), the non-gang shootings over two decades have been the Dawson College shooting (1 dead, 19 injured), the Moncton shooting (3 dead, 2 injured), the La Loche shooting (4 dead, 7 injured), the Quebec City mosque shooting (6 dead, 5 injured), the Danforth shooting (2 dead shooting injured), the Fredericton shooting (4 dead), the Nova Scotia shootings (22 dead, 3 injured), the Langley shootings (2 dead, 2 injured), and now the Tumbler Ridge shooting (8 dead, 27 injured). That’s a pretty high death toll.

What the left refuses to acknowledge is that guns are tools—efficient tools, admittedly, but they have no independent agency. They function only when someone uses them, whether for good or ill. Most people use them for good.

However, there is evil in the world, and evil people will use the weapons at hand. The real problems begin when you have cultures that do not value life (that would be leftism and Islam), that glorify violent death (I’m looking at you, Hollywood), that encourage insanity (leftism) or religious violence (Islam), and that refuse to provide meaningful consequences for violent people.

Put together all those factors, and you’ll see that, to paraphrase Soylent Green, “It’s not the weapons; it’s people! Gun violence is people!”
