The man appeared to be in a state of intoxication. According to information obtained by CNEWS from police sources, police officers arrested a 38-year-old man on Wednesday, December 3, at around 8:30 a.m. on Rue de la Cloche in La Rochelle (Charente-Maritime), confirming a report by Sud-Ouest.

The man was wearing only a towel tied around his waist, armed with a hunting crossbow and shouting ‘Allah Akbar’. The 30-year-old, who according to reports is known to the police mainly for property damage offences, was taken into custody after his arrest.
