According to our information, a man shouted “Allah Akbar” several times at around 5.30pm while the station concourse was overcrowded on the eve of the weekend and there was a risk of a possible terrorist attack. The man is said to have suffered a fainting fit as a result and was treated by the fire brigade, whom he is said to have threatened with death when they came to his aid.
The 30-year-old, who was taken into police custody, is an Algerian national and is legally resident in France. Stabbing weapons were also found on him.
