Official statistics have shown that asylum seekers in one English county are approximately 9,000% more likely to commit sexual or violent offences than their share of the local population would indicate, as protests against asylum accommodation—some turning violent—have intensified across Europe in the last week.
British Home Office asylum support data for the end of September 2025 recorded 618 asylum seekers in the Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole council area, where most asylum accommodation is concentrated. With Dorset’s total population at approximately 800,000 to 820,000, and no asylum hotels recorded in the rest of the county, this equates to roughly 0.08% of the local population.
Dorset Police data covering July 2024 to July 2025 shows that individuals from migrant hotels accounted for 116 out of 1,616 recorded sexual offences county-wide—which constitutes approximately 7.2% of the total. This equates to an over-representation factor of roughly 90 times their population share, or approximately 8,875-9,310% higher than would be expected proportionally. When compared to the remaining population, this produces a relative likelihood of approximately 90-102 times higher.
A claim that this was as high as 55,000% has been widely circulated online, based on incorrect reporting that migrant hotel occupants produced 44% of recorded incidents.
Official findings, however, reveal the over-representation remains substantial. Research by europeanconservative.com has confirmed the actual figures. Despite consternation over the veracity of the figures, after a Freedom of Information request responded to by Dorset Police claimed only one case of migrant rape had been recorded in the area committed by an asylum hotel inhabitant, court records reported on by the Daily Mail, nevertheless, reveal that: “In Bournemouth, 116 charges have been brought against 51 asylum seekers living across three hotels near the seafront.”
Dorset Police acknowledged the veracity of the court records when responding to Telegraphjournalist Alison Pearson and stated, “The figures mentioned are conviction data from the court system … The crimes may have been committed elsewhere in the country and the figure is based upon the address given to the court at the time of the defendant’s appearance.”
The publication of the Dorset figures comes as community opposition to asylum accommodation reaches levels not seen for several years across Europe. On May 12, rioters in the central Dutch town of Loosdrecht set fire to an asylum shelter, briefly blocking firefighters from reaching the blaze; at least 15 asylum seekers were believed to have been inside the nearby building at the time.
Violent protests against asylum facilities have been flaring across the Netherlands in recent weeks, with police responding to demonstrations simultaneously in Apeldoorn and The Hague. The unrest has been triggered by the consequences of a new law obliging municipalities to provide a proportionate share of asylum placements.
In England, a town on the outskirts of London saw violent protests outside the Bell Hotel in Epping on consecutive days in July 2025, after a 38-year-old asylum seeker was charged with sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. More than 100 demonstrators gathered outside the hotel; flares and projectiles were thrown at police, and six people were arrested.
European states’ policy of dispersing asylum seekers into hotels and communities has faced growing public opposition. The latest circulation of the Dorset data and the attack in Modena, Italy provide a backdrop for growing fears about safety surrounding the presence of asylum seekers from alien cultures.

A French women’s rights activist has been found guilty of “public insult” over a remark she made during a televised debate with a trans-identified male. Dora Moutot was informed on May 20 that she had been convicted of “public insult against a person or group of people on account of their sex, sexual orientation or gender identity” due to her comment that women are “wary of people with penises.”
Moutot made the statement during an October 2022 episode of the popular talk show Quelle Époque!, where she had been invited as a guest to debate a trans-identified male named Marie Cau, the mayor of Tilloy-lez-Marchiennes. While discussing the issue of men who claim to be transgender women, Moutot stated that women have a need to be cautious in the presence of “people with penises.”
In its ruling, the court argued that Moutot had reduced “transgender women” to “their male attribute.”
“By referring to them as ‘penis people’ whom ‘women’ are ‘forced to distrust’, the defendant first assigns transgender women to their penis, that is, to their male sexual attribute of birth, while denying their female gender identity since they are opposed to ‘women’, the defendant thus implicitly considering that transgender women are not women,” the verdict read.
“This statement, which in a generalizing and essentializing way denies the gender identity of those concerned and assigns them to a masculine sexual attribute by associating the latter with a state of danger for cisgender women, is outrageous towards transgender women because of their sex and their gender identity.”
Incredibly Moutot was fined €1,000, to be paid to the state, as well as the payment of €500 in damages to each of the three trans activist associations who backed Cau’s legal complaint, and an additional €2,000 to cover the court costs, which had come from public funding.
Dear English Followers: on May 20, 2026, I learned that I had been convicted by French court for stating: “As women, we are compelled to be wary of people with penises.”This conviction marks a deeply troubling turning point for freedom of expression in France.
Presenter Léa Salamé asked Moutot, “In what way do you, as a feminist, as a woman, feel that trans demands weaken you? Why do you see this as something that should be opposed? What does it take away from you, as a woman?”
In response, Moutot asserted that it was necessary to “find common ground.” She then cited specific examples of ways in which gender identity ideology policies impede on the rights of women and girls. “For example, in sports: today, a number of trans women—formerly men—compete in women’s categories. And sometimes, simply because they have different musculature, they win,” Moutot elaborated.
“We also face issues in prisons. In certain countries—the United States, in California, or in England—men who have sometimes committed murders of women or rapes are first placed in men’s prisons,” she added. “Then they undergo a ‘gender-affirming’ program, transition while in prison, become women administratively, and are transferred to women’s prisons.”
She continued: “In some cases—I have to say it—there have been men who raped their female fellow inmates. I am not saying that all trans people do this, far from it, but as women we are obliged to be wary of people with penises.”
Cau, backed by three trans activist organizations who are funded by taxpayers – Adheos, Mousse and SOS Homophobie – filed a criminal complaint against Moutot over her comments in February 2023. Attorneys for Cau argued that her comments constitute “advocating violence against transgender individuals,” though the recent ruling tossed out that claim, stating her remarks did not “incite the public, implicitly or explicitly, to violence, discrimination or hatred”.
During the debate, Salamé had asked Moutot whether she regarded the mayor as a woman, to which Moutot replied, “To me, Marie Cau is a man.” A statement released by Mousse accused Moutot of “violently attacking” Cau by calling him both a man, and a “transfeminine man.”
Moutot shared details of the recent verdict in a post to her personal Substack, and expressed her concern for freedom of speech, noting that “it is now apparently formally forbidden to call for distrust of the opposite sex.”
“It is unacceptable that a woman can be criminally convicted for expressing, in a debate of general interest, a concern related to women’s safety and the reality of biological sex,” she said. “My point was simple: when someone has a male sex, regardless of their gender identity, many women instinctively feel a heightened sense of vigilance. This is neither hatred nor an incitement to violence. It is a protective reflex deeply rooted in the female experience. Apparently, simply mentioning this reality is now enough to be condemned.”
Moutot also stated that she intends to appeal the decision, saying that she is willing to take the case to the Court of Cassation, the highest court in France.
In response to Wednesday’s verdict, SOS Homophobie released a public statement suggesting that a part of the motivation for the lawsuit was to make an example of Moutot and to criminalize criticism of people who claim to be transgender.
“STOP homophobia welcomes a ruling that clearly establishes that statements targeting transgender people can be penalized by law, even without an explicit call to hatred… This case shows that discourse targeting transgender people does not come without consequences.”
Cau, whose given name is Nicolas, became well known in France after he was elected to political office in 2020 and was celebrated in media reports as the first transgender mayor in the nation. After he won the election in the small town of Tilloy-lez-Marchiennes, which has a population of approximately 500, Cau expressed an ambition to run for President.
In September 2022, Cau published an autobiography titled Madame Mayor (Madame le Maire) wherein he described his urge to wear women’s clothing, an activity which he says brings about the “height of happiness” for him.
“Once I was alone in the house, I put on my girl’s clothes. A feeling of happiness, of liberation. Dressed like this, I can talk about myself in feminine terms and I can breathe,” Cau wrote. “Finally. I am myself. Shortly after puberty, I would also wear make-up… It became a bit like a drug, an addiction, because it feels so good that I would try to find that pleasure again.”
A women's rights advocate in France is on trial for "violent" transphobia after stating that women needed to be wary of "people with penises" in female spaces.
The complaint against Dora Moutot was filed by a male politician who identifies as a woman.https://t.co/f95hHcdJAv
In his autobiography, Cau also detailed his divorce from his wife, and railed against the justice system, which granted custody of their children to his former wife.
“The woman is always the victim, while the man is always the executioner, often accused of violence or alcoholism,” he wrote. The judge presiding over their divorce proceedings ordered him to leave the home and granted him limited visitation rights – a situation that Cau says “is one that the courts traditionally reserve for a failing or even violent father.”
In a staggering hypocrisy, though Moutot had been accused of “advocating violence against transgender individuals,” the author and women’s rights campaigner has herself been subjected to a targeted campaign of harassment, with trans activists explicitly calling for her murder.
Previously, prominent political figures in France have publicly condemned and even mocked Moutot on social media for her statements about biological sex. Following an interview published in Le Figaro, Senator Mélanie Vogel of The Greens (EELV) taunted Moutot on Twitter, commenting that “transphobes are not feminists.” The publication had shared a photo of Moutot alongside a quote: “A woman is an adult human female, this is a biological reality. Only women are able to give life. This is a privilege.”
This is happening in France 🇫🇷: Hundreds of people are calling for my murder in Strasbourg because I argue that being a woman is not a feeling but a biological reality. « Dora Moutot at the bottom of the Rhin river » they’re saying. They're furious about the book I co-authored… https://t.co/P658cvM1Bz
Moutot, along with her colleague Marguerite Stern, have for years endured violent death threats. Since 2019, both women have been relentlessly harassed on social media, which escalated into the public sphere. Both women have been the target of “messages calling for us to ‘smash our heads off,’ slogans like ‘one TERF, one bullet’ or ‘transphobes to the fire’ chanted publicly,” and calls to “physically and violently oppose our entire existence.”
Other threats published online urged people to “settle things with knives,” while still others encouraged supporters to “burn” and “smash” her. Moutot filed a legal complaint against those who made violent threats against her, but her complaints were dismissed by the courts.
In May 2024, trans activists chanted death threats at Moutot and Stern outside of Assas University where they had been invited to speak about a book they wrote together critical of gender identity ideology titled “Transmania.”
Demonstrators surrounded the entrance and shouted, “A TERF, a bullet, social justice,” at the two women as they were escorted by police. “They have no shame,” said Stern in footage depicting the scene. “How can they say that in front of police?” marveled Moutot.
« A TERF, A BULLET, SOCIAL JUSTICE » : a crowd of transgender activists called for the murder of @Margueritestern and I, in front of the police, at Assas University. ( we gave a conference on our book #Transmania)
In September 2024, trans activists set off a bomb at a venue where Stern, co-author of the book “Transmania” with Moutot, was set to speak. The conference, titled Comment L’idéologie Transgenre Détruit des Vies? (How Transgender Ideology Destroys Lives), sought to discuss the harms of both medical transitioning and the aggression of trans activism. Vandalism on the front of the venue read: “Dirty TERF,” an acronym which stands for ‘trans-exclusionary radical feminist’ and is often used as a pejorative to harass or threaten violence against women who oppose gender identity ideology.
“Posters, publications, and slogans explicitly called for physical attacks against us. Around sixty hooded and armed individuals were even arrested on their way to a book signing for our book Transmania,” Moutot noted.
“We have lived under constant pressure: event cancellations, police presence, real fear of attack, massive harassment, smear campaigns, repeated threats. And yet? Cases were dismissed without further action each time we filed a complaint. No legal repercussions. No institutional outrage. No protection.”
She added: “Slogans calling for us to be killed seem to produce less of a legal reaction than a sentence expressing concern about women’s safety.”
Borrowing a page from the political playbook of U.S President Donald Trump, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has vowed to scrap tax on overtime as his party seeks to cement itself as the “true party of the workers” in Britain.
The Brexit boss said on Saturday that if given power, Reform UK would abolish the income tax on overtime hours above the standard 40-hour work week for anyone earning less than £75,000 per year, which accounts for over 90 per cent of the working population.
According to the populist party, the move is expected to cost around £5 billion per year, however, Reform said that it would be paid for from the upwards of £40 billion it plans on saving by cutting wasteful spending, rollinng back the green agenda, slashing foreign aid, and ending welfare for migrants, among other initiatives.
Writing in The Telegraph, Mr Farage said that during the recent local elections — in which his party stormed to a historic victory — voters expressed a “deep frustration” that even when they put in extra hours, they still struggle at the end of the month and thus feel as tho “hard work in this country simply doesn’t pay.”
“Benefits often match or beat what they earn and that ordinary families are being dragged into higher tax bands with nothing to show for it. Meanwhile, they see a Labour Government, stuffed with human rights lawyers who are obsessed with rejoining the EU and net zero lunacy, which has absolutely no understanding of their day-to-day struggles. More significantly perhaps, they also feel that the party that was once on the side of workers is now more on the side of welfare,” he wrote.
Mr Farage said that Labour no longer represents the labour vote, and that only Reform UK represents the interest of the “patriotic working-class”
“If we are going to turn around Britain’s economy, it must be a collective endeavour. That means incentivising our workforce and making sure their hard graft is properly rewarded,” he argued.
Reform will reward hard graft with fair pay.
This policy to remove tax from overtime would have been a godsend for me a few years ago. It will help loads of people in Makerfield and Wigan. pic.twitter.com/XyBYQEgCzN
The announcement of the plan, which resembles a similar initative implemented by President Donald Trump in his “Big Beautiful Bill” last year, comes as Reform finds itself on the campaing trail again.
Following Labour’s disastrous performance earlier this month in the local elections, the knives came out for Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, with many in the party calling for him to be replaced as leader. However, the PM’s top rival, Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham, is currently ineligeable to take over given that he does not have a seat in the House of Commons. To solve this, former anti-Breitbar activist Josh Simons resigned from his post in Makerfield to allow for a special by-election in which Burnham could run for Parliament.
Despite having governed the area for nearly a decade as mayor, the veteran Labour insider appears to be in a dead heat with Reform’s relatively unknown candidate, Councillor Rob Kenyon, a local self-employed plumber and former Army reservist.
According to a poll of the constituency by Survation, Labour currently holds a slight lead at 43 per cent, followed closely by Reform at 40 per cent, the Daily Mailreported. Meanwhile, Rupert Lowe’s breakaway Restore Britain stands at 7 per cent, the Liberal Democrats at 4 per cent, the Greens at 3 per cent and the Conservatives at just 2 per cent.
Urging right-wing voters to rally around the Reform flag during the by-election, Mr Farage said that the poll demonstrated that it is a “two-horse race” and that “Robert Kenyon is the only candidate who can stop Andy Burnham.”
Should Reform pull off a surprise victory and win the seat, it would be a major setback for Labour and show that its difficulties in working-class, Brexit backing “Red Wall” regions of the country are likely here to stay. However, even a loss would likely redound to the benefit of the Farage party given that it would immediately spark a leadership contest within Labour that could potentially see Prime Minister Starmer ousted.
Keir Starmer’s government has been accused of attempting to drag Britain back under Brussels’ control after it emerged that UK negotiators explored rejoining the EU’s single market for goods—a move that would have required Britain to follow EU rules without having any vote over them.
According to reports in The Times and the BBC, British officials proposed establishing a UK-EU single market for goods as part of Labour’s wider “Brexit reset” negotiations ahead of a summit expected in July.
The proposal would have allowed British firms to sell goods into the EU without border checks or regulatory barriers. In exchange, however, Britain would have been expected to align with existing and future EU regulations, effectively making the country a rule-taker once again.
Brussels ultimately rejected the proposal after the UK refused to accept the return of free movement, a policy that Britons voted to end when they backed Brexit in 2016.
EU officials reportedly insisted that Britain could not be part of the single market while remaining outside the bloc’s wider rules, including unrestricted movement of EU citizens.
The revelations have intensified fears that Labour is trying to reverse Brexit by stealth while avoiding openly campaigning to rejoin the EU.
The government has already announced plans for a European Partnership Bill, which would make it easier for officials to adopt EU regulations without democratic oversight from Parliament or the British public.
The talks form part of Starmer’s broader push for closer ties with the EU on trade, energy, defence, and regulation. Ministers are already negotiating agreements covering food standards, emissions trading, and electricity markets.
The controversy has deepened following recent comments by former health secretary Wes Streeting, widely viewed as a possible future Labour leader, who described Brexit as a “catastrophic mistake” and suggested Britain could eventually seek to rejoin the EU.
Former British negotiators and EU officials warned that any future attempt to rejoin the bloc would likely require Britain to recommit to the EU’s principle of “ever-closer union,” meaning deeper political and legal integration with Brussels. Critics argue this would further erode British sovereignty and increase the power of EU institutions over national governments.
Critics warn that the strategy undermines the democratic purpose of Brexit by steadily reconnecting Britain to EU structures while denying voters any direct say over the process.
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage described the approach as “a direct betrayal of the Brexit referendum and a total breach of the government’s manifesto promises,” adding: “The British people didn’t vote to become rule-takers, and we will fight this every step of the way.”
The Royal Horticultural Society has been holding London-based flower shows since 1833, with gardening fanatics strutting their stuff. In 1912, the show solidified at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, where horticulturalists compete annually in several categories, re-creating magical (or not) gardens over a couple of days at a fairground. This year’s flower show, however, was riven with dissent because—horrors!—the vagina-themed (yes, vagina-themed) women’s garden was…designed by a man.
One would think that a gardening show would be a magical wonderland of happy people creating beauty. However, as with any competition, it’s not. It’s vicious. (For a sweet romance novel that culminates at the vicious event, I recommend Katie Fforde’s Wild Designs.) The stakes are high for horticultural businesses, since a win at Chelsea means big bucks (prodigious pounds?).
The best-in-show compete for titles such as “Garden of the Year,” “Small Garden of the Year,” “Best Balcony and Container Garden,” “Best All About Plants Garden,” and “Best Construction.”
Of course, it’s not just about the garden, it’s about the theme! This year’s winners included “The Campaign to Protect Rural England Garden,” “The Flourish in the City” garden, the “Little Garden of Shared Knowledge,” and the “Ode to Endurance” garden. As the old song from “Gypsy” says, “ya gotta get a gimmick, if you wanna get applause.”
The garden is designed to captivate, spark curiosity and open up uninhibited conversations about gynaecological health. It aims to break down stigma and enable conversation by creating both intimate and more open spaces for people to talk.
Surrounded by beautiful planting, the centre of the garden is fully immersive. Taking inspiration from the Basque artist Eduardo Chillida, the central structure echoes the artists [sic] ceramic sculptures, providing a safe and enveloping space where sunlight and shade change throughout the day. A winding path leads visitors through richly planted borders, where shifting colours envelop five sculptures, each representing one of the five gynaecological cancers. From a central pool, water flows gently through deep rills, guiding the journey onward, into intimate nooks with secluded seating, then widens into a communal space for open and honest conversations. These contrasting environments are designed to break the silence, foster connection and ultimately help save lives #SILENTNOMORE.
How…ahem…moving. I definitely want to go into a garden dedicated to gynecological cancer and vaginas—and one, moreover, that is sustainable!
The designer, Darren Hawkes, explained how he approached the project:
“As a husband, father, and son to important women in my life, I want to help expand awareness amongst men and women, break taboos and shatter the silence to help save the lives of women in future generations,” Darren Hawkes.
That’s very uplifting. But wait just one minute there! A “husband, father, and son”? Is this…a man? Or maybe he’s a transman, which means he can claim a female identity if it suits him.
Nope. Definitely a man. The picture in this article (which may be behind a paywall) and his voice establish his bona fides.
Now, some might say that there is no person better suited to appreciate a woman’s gynecological virtues than a straight man. But that’s not how the feministas saw it. Instead, there was, as the British say, a row:
The Lady Garden Foundation’s Silent No More garden featured skin-coloured curved structures, pink flowers and calming purple hues to embody a place where women could “open up uninhibited conversations about gynaecological health”.
But for many female gardeners, the message was lost when they discovered the designer was a man.
Bunny Guinness, a gardener and former Chelsea judge, told The Telegraph she saw it as a “missed opportunity” to showcase women in a male-dominated industry.
She said: “I think it would be so much nicer to have had a woman up there getting the gold medal for women: There are more women gynaecologists, it’s a woman’s thing.”
Others echoed her. Claire Coulson, a horticultural writer, acknowledged that the garden was “stunning,” but foolishly added, “I do think a woman should have designed it. … Then we would be talking about those five cancers that it’s based on and not the fact that a man designed it.” It’s you women who decided to make it about the designer’s sex. You could have kept the focus where it belonged—on health risks unique to women.
As it turns out, it’s not just about Hawkes’s temerity in designing a beautiful, award-winning garden dedicated to women’s health. The real bee in the bonnet is that women tend not to be the big winners at the show. The feminists are claiming overall bias because they volunteer more often than men to help set up the show, but men are more often the designers in the winner’s circle.
So, writes the same article, “The Royal Horticultural Society has attempted to rectify the gender imbalance.” And if you look at the winner’s circle this year, they certainly succeeded.
Of those designers photographed, there are 11 women and two men. Amusingly, if you click on the winning gardens that don’t include a photo of the designer, they’re all men (including Hawkes). Men are still allowed to win, as long as they hide their faces in shame.
The real shame is that the woke mob is destroying the venerable Chelsea Garden Show, just as it destroys every other Western institution it touches. Merit be damned. Quotas will be imposed until all men and wrong-thinking people are banished.
After all, Greta Thunberg and the others say that everyone in Gaza is ready to welcome them as liberators. Why not put that bonhomie to the test?

Israel should have let the Flotilla enter Gaza. It should do it for Vittorio Arrigoni, who was 36 years old and Italian.
His body was found in a house near Gaza. It would not dishonor his memory to describe him as a passionate anti-Zionist. That is precisely why he collaborated with the Islamists of Hamas. An Islamist group calling itself “Monotheism and Holy War” kidnapped “Vik,” publishing a video on YouTube showing him tied up, blindfolded, and bloodied. “Monotheism and Holy War” demanded the release of its imprisoned members in Gaza in exchange for the Italian. He was murdered several hours before the ultimatum expired.
I do not remember the same outrage for Arrigoni being blindfolded and killed as there was for the images of the flotilla activists humiliated by the Israeli Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, who is somewhat like Israel’s yellow wire – the one who cuts off electricity on the ground – the dream of all antisemites who want to hate without remorse.
If he were still alive, Arrigoni would be aboard the Flotilla. But Arrigoni is dead. He was killed in Gaza not by Israelis, but by those Islamic fanatics whom these useful idiots defend so passionately.
Arrigoni, who collaborated with Hamas, discovered firsthand that “passionate anti-Zionism” is not a passport to eternal brotherhood. He was there to defend Palestinian Arabs and was killed by Palestinian Arabs.
He even got tattoos in Arabic. He literally carried the cause on his arm.
He believed he was one of the “good guys.” The ones who say “let’s remain human.”
A jihadist faction in Gaza kidnapped him, tortured him, called him a “kafir,” and executed him anyway. They did not care about his solidarity, his activism, or his tattoos.
Arrigoni reminded me of a left-wing Scottish academic, Malcolm Caldwell, for whom the communist experiment in Cambodia represented “the promise of a better future for everyone.” In December 1978, Pol Pot invited Caldwell and two other Western journalists to tour Cambodia. Caldwell was summoned for a face-to-face meeting with Pol Pot. A few hours later, he was murdered.
So then, considering that for a besieged democracy like Israel it is unsustainable to manage to board and repatriate a ship every month, I would let these strange Westerners enter Gaza.
Israel, tired of playing the role of the global villain, could indulge in a sociological experiment: open the ports and gates, transfer the volunteers onto the beach of Gaza City, and watch.
If Itamar Ben-Gvir were truly evil, he would already have allowed the Islamic Erasmus excursion group to enter.
Journalists should perhaps avoid going, since they could end up like BBC reporter Alan Johnston. Palestinian Arab terrorists even strapped an explosive belt onto him.
Even though both Al-Qaeda and ISIS are in Gaza (as if Hamas’s throat-slashers were not enough), Israelis should not worry about the safety of the Italian flotilla activists, since Greta Thunberg and the others say that everyone in Gaza is ready to welcome them as liberators.
After all, wasn’t it the Israeli Air Force that killed the leader of the terrorist group that kidnapped and murdered Arrigoni?
The young Italian Angelo Frammartino was a Communist, singing about “the slingshots of Palestinian boys,” but he ended up stabbed to death in Jerusalem.
His murderer, who came from the cheerful Arab town of Jenin, thought Angelo was “Jewish.” The killer, linked to Islamic Jihad, had gone to Jerusalem intending to kill a Jew and instead found a young Italian.
If only the terrorist had known who his blade was about to slit the throat of, he would surely have stopped in time, embraced the pacifist, and gone in search of Jewish blood instead.
But reality does not read Amnesty press releases.
“Palestine” is not an ideal stage for moral redemption. It is an all too real, brutal place where Western dreams die strangled.
A man was arrested after assaulting a group of Jewish people outside Beis Gavriel synagogue |Google Maps
A German man has appeared in court charged with the assault of two Jewish men.
The assault occurred outside of a synagogue in north London, whilst they were attending a religious festival.
A group of Jews was gathered outside of Beis Gavriel synagogue in Hendon on Thursday night for Shavuot, when they were attacked and forced to restrain the attacker, who is said to have assaulted people within the group at random.
No one was seriously hurt during the attack, but one member of the synagogue told the Mail on Sunday that a man was left with cuts and bruises after he was “punched in the face, breaking his glasses.”
After the attack, Daniel Nikzamir, 25, from Hendon, was charged with two counts of racially/religiously aggravated assault by beating, one count of assault by beating, racially/religiously aggravated criminal damage, and criminal damage.
He attended Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, where he pleaded not guilty and was bailed.
A spokesman for the Campaign Against Antisemitism said: “This is yet another brutal attack on Jews simply for being Jews.
“It comes on the heels of stabbings in nearby Golders Green and the beating of a man overheard speaking Hebrew.
“Scarcely a day now passes without reports of another attack on Jews simply going about their lives.
“Jews cannot live like this. The situation is untenable.
“It is past time for the Government to show leadership by banning the hate marches, tackling the radicalisation of Britain’s youth, and proscribing dangerous foreign groups like the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
“At the current rate it is a miracle that there has not been another antisemitic murder. The Government is on borrowed time to act.”
Police across London have made over 90 hate crime arrests since the end of March, including 70 for antisemitic offences.
The Metropolitan Police confirmed that officers arrived at the incident in Hendon within 10 minutes and that a man was arrested following the detention by members of the public.
Detective Superintendent Will Lexton-Jones, from North West Basic Command Unit, said: “Incidents of this nature rightly cause concern in the community.
“We continue to offer support to local residents, particularly to the two men who were victims of this alleged attack.”
Daniel Nikzamir is due to appear at Harrow Crown Court in June.
Britain’s right is more fractured than anywhere in Europe. This is a new phenomenon. Historically the British right were united behind one party. The populist right is here to stay. The White House was placed under lockdown on Saturday after a deranged gunman opened fire near the North Lawn.
The man fired shots around 6 p.m. EST at a security booth that had U.S. Secret Service officers inside. The agents returned fire and wounded the man, who later died in the hospital. No officers were injured.
Another person, a bystander, was reportedly seriously wounded. Between 10 and 20 shots were reportedly fired.
President Donald Trump was in the White House at the time but was “not impacted,” according to the Secret Service.
The suspected shooter approached the security checkpoint, pulled a gun out of a bag, and opened fire on the Secret Service officers, the agency said.
ABC White House correspondent Selina Wang posted a video in which the gunshots can be heard.
I was in the middle of taping on my iPhone for a social video from the White House North Lawn when we heard the shots. It sounded like dozens of gunshots. We were told to sprint to the press briefing room where we are holding now. pic.twitter.com/iqdQwh4soq
The suspect has been identified as Nasire Best, 21, who was known to have mental issues and was involuntary committed last year after obstructing traffic.
Best had a run-in with the Secret Service in July 2025, when he was arrested for attempting to gain entry to the White House, CBS News reported.
“FBI is on the scene and supporting Secret Service responding to shots fired near White House grounds – we will update the public as we’re able,” FBI Director Kash Patel wrote on X.

The lockdown was later lifted at around 6:45 p.m.
House Speaker Mike Johnson responded to the shooting, posting on X, “”We are grateful for our brave Secret Service agents who took quick, decisive action to protect President Trump, and our prayers are with the victims of tonight’s senseless shooting for a speedy recovery.”
The incident is one of several attacks on the Trump administration and other Republican and conservative leaders in recent months. Four weeks ago, a gunman seeking to murder Trump officials opened fire at the White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner.
The White House was on lockdown on Saturday evening after dozens of shots were fired nearby. Secret Service and the FBI is on the scene. Fox News reported that the Secret Service took down the shooter.
