Fresh analysis has revealed that nearly one in three school pupils in Glasgow do not speak English as their first language.

Figures from the Scottish government showed that 28.8 per cent of students in the country’s largest city speak English as an additional language (EAL).

The data also found that the number of pupils speaking English as an additional language has risen sharply, up nearly a third since 2019 when it stood at 22.5 per cent.

In Glasgow, 20,717 of the city’s 71,957 pupils are now classed as EAL students, according to figures collected in September last year.

The EAL category includes pupils who are new to English and still developing their language skills.

Glasgow City Council provides specialist teachers to support some of these students, while others receive help directly from their classroom teachers.

The latest figures add to concerns about the Scottish city’s ability to cope with rising numbers of new arrivals.

Glasgow, now described as Britain’s asylum capital, was housing 3,777 asylum seekers at the end of September – more than any other local authority across the UK.

Glasgow is thought to be an attractive destination for asylum seekers because Scottish law obliges councils to accommodate anyone who is unintentionally homeless, including single men.

Council leaders said that not all pupils learning English were new arrivals and noted that the annual number of overseas enrolments had fallen by more than 1,000 in the current academic year.

The increase in EAL students is also partly attributed to more accurate recording of student numbers.

Despite this, Glasgow still had the highest proportion of EAL pupils in Scotland last year, ahead of Edinburgh (22.1 per cent) and Aberdeen (21.6 per cent).

Conservative MSP Stephen Kerr described the latest EAL pupil figures as “truly staggering”.

He said: “This scale of demand has serious consequences for educational standards, for social cohesion and for the long-term health of our society and economy.

“A cohesive society depends on a shared language.

For so many children of immigrants to have a level of English that requires support at school is a failure of government to ensure that immigrant communities are integrating into wider Scottish society.

“The SNP are guilty of avoiding the difficult work of integrating immigrant communities under a misguided politically correct agenda that is now failing these children.

“There needs to be a complete rethink and we must ensure that all the people who live here can play a full role in Scottish society.”

A Glasgow City Council spokesman said: “Glasgow thrives as a city enriched by many different languages and cultures, and we proudly celebrate this diversity and the positive impact it brings to all our school communities.”

It is estimated that around 6,350 asylum seekers are currently being housed in Scotland.

Rahmanullah Lakanwal left his home in Bellingham, Washington, on the West Coast of the United States, leaving behind his wife and five children, and drove across the United States to New York, where he ambushed a group of National Guard soldiers, killing one and wounding another.

Born in Kabul in 1996, Lakanwal earned his entry to the United States by working for ten years with various US government agencies active in Afghanistan during the US occupation, including the CIA, as confirmed by the Central Intelligence Agency’s director, John Ratcliffe.

Few of his fellow citizens could have been more qualified to earn entry to the United States. Lakanwal reportedly worked with the Americans for ten years, reportedly while serving in the Afghan army. He worked, in particular, for the CIA in Kandahar, joining the Zero Units, teams that carried out counterterrorism operations, and collaborating in the dramatic withdrawal of Western forces from Afghanistan in the final days of August 2021.

A story reminiscent of that of the suicide bomber responsible for the worst attack on the CIA. Abu-Mulal Al Balawi carried out a massacre at the CIA base in Khost, Afghanistan. Before that, he had made a name for himself as a doctor in UN refugee camps in Jordan.

On Shemini Atzeret, 1982, parents brought their children to the Great Synagogue for the local tradition of Birkat HaYeladim, when the rabbi blesses the children on that day. As they were preparing to leave after the service, PLO terrorists attacked with hand grenades and a machine gun, killing 2-year-old Stefano Tache and wounding 34 people, including his 4-year-old brother and parents.

According to the documents revealed Friday, Italian internal intelligence, then-known as Servizio per le Informazioni e la Sicurezza Democratica (SISDE), sent several warnings to the government that groups of Palestinian students “intended” to attack Jewish targets in Rome. At the top of the list of possible targets was the synagogue.

A follow-up warning sent to the Italian interior ministry cited a “usually reliable source” as saying the Abu Nidal group planned to carry out an attack during the Jewish holiday period and was likely to hit Jewish sites as the Israeli embassy was too well guarded.

But despite the warnings, not only was security not increased, but on the day of the attack, the police vehicle that usually stood outside the synagogue on holidays was absent, the documents showed.

There have been recent allegations of a secret deal between the Islamic terrorists and the Italian government.

“The Italian media”, recalls Lisa Palmieri-Billig, “bombarded public opinion with headlines and hateful drawings reminiscent of the Nazi era, describing the bombing of ‘Jewish planes’ with the Star of David and disgusting ‘Israelis’ about to happily torture innocent Palestinians or crucify a Palestinian Christ”.

At the end of June, a large anti-war rally called by the trade unions had a macabre outcome, when some demonstrators went as far as the old ghetto in Rome to lay a coffin in front of the synagogue.

Until 2008, when, on the eve of the 26th anniversary of the attack, the former Prime Minister and President of the Republic Francesco Cossiga, then in his eighties, decided to reveal some shocking new information. First, in an interview with Corriere della Sera, he revealed the existence of a secret agreement between the Italian state apparatus and the main Palestinian forces – referred to as the “Moro Pact”, named after the former Prime Minister and leader of the Christian Democracy, Aldo Moro – aimed at allowing the latter the free movement of men and weapons on Italian territory in return for the protection of the country and its citizens against terrorist actions. Then, under the pressure of questions from the Italian correspondent of the Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharonot, he clarified that in fact Zionist objectives would be excluded from the scope of this agreement. Italian Jews, in other words, could have been hit with impunity. “We sold you out”, he summarised to the Israeli journalist.

All of this serves as the background to the vandalism of the plaque memorializing the murdered 2-year-old boy.

That toddler’s murder is a reminder of what ‘Free Palestine’ really means. And when we forget, the Muslim terrorists and their apologists remind us.

Two 16-year-olds, including a Russian national of Chechen origin, have been placed in custody in Paris on suspicion of plotting an antisemitic attack, AFP reported on Monday, citing judicial and press sources.

According to Le Parisien, the Chechen teen, who arrived in France with his mother four years ago, sent a photo on WhatsApp holding a knife and declared he was “going to kill Jews in five days.”

He was in contact with another 16-year-old from the Paris region, who threatened to target a site of religious worship, the paper added.

France’s national anti-terror prosecutor’s office confirmed the reports, telling AFP that the pair had been charged with “participation in a terrorist criminal association with the aim of preparing one or more crimes against persons.”

So far in 2025, France has charged 20 minors with terrorism-related offenses, surpassing the 19 minors charged across all of 2024.

In September, French authorities detained a 17-year-old male suspected of planning large-scale terrorist attacks targeting embassies and government institutions, including the embassies of Israel, Britain, and the United States.

France has been on high alert in the wake of terrorist attacks in recent years. The country was first hit by a series of Islamist attacks starting in January 2015, with the attacks on the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo and the Jewish Hyper Cacher supermarket in Paris.

In November of that year, 130 people were killed in a series of jihadist attacks in Paris claimed by the Islamic State (ISIS).

A “non-binary” academic who previously was forced to resign from a criminal justice assistant professorship after defending the “dignity” of “minor attracted people” is offering to pay self-identified pedophiles to participate in a survey. Allyn Walker, now associated with the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (formerly the Moore Center for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse), posted the recruitment advert in the Virtuous Pedophiles Forum, where she has been a member for nearly ten years.

“We’re recruiting 10 participants for interviews within the next week to give us feedback on new content for the Help Wanted program. Interviews will last 30-60 minutes and participants will receive a $100 gift card of their choice in exchange for their time,” Walker wrote in the VirPed forum.

Virtuous Pedophiles (VirPed) is a group founded in 2012 that purports to seek the de-stigmatization of pedophilia in order to facilitate “harm prevention and personal support.” Members acknowledge that they have a sexual attraction to children, but claim to want lead normal productive lives without abusing children. The group has repeatedly claimed they have a “commitment to non-offending” and position themselves as a resource for journalists, academics, and public education on pedophilia.

The Help Wanted Program, created by academics at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health bills itself as “an online course to provide help to people attracted to younger children.” A video introduction featured on the program’s website promises to offer “coping strategies to manage your sexual attraction to children” in order to build a “healthy sexuality.”

Requirements shared by Walker offer self-declared pedophiles the opportunity to participate in an “anonymous, audio-only Zoom call with a member of the study team.”

“We will not be collecting any personally identifying information from our participants. We ask those interested in participating to please visit the link below for information on how to participate in the study and obtain an anonymous email address,” Walker stated.

Walker, a female-to-male transgender who identifies as non-binary, was the subject of widespread controversy in 2021 after she sat down for an interview with Prostasia – a registered 503c which many have called “pro-pedophile” for their stances on legalizing child-like sex dolls and routinely comparing pedophilia to a sexuality.

Similarly, Walker had once entertained theories about giving pedophiles access to “high quality child pornography” to stop offending.

Walker was an assistant professor of sociology and criminal justice at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and had interviewed with Prostasia’s now-defunct podcast in November to promote her book titled “A Long, Dark Shadow: Minor Attracted People and Their Pursuit of Dignity.”

In the interview, Walker stated she used the term “minor attracted people” out of consideration for pedophile’s feelings, noting “… I think it’s important to use terminology for groups that members of that group want others to use for them.” She also stated that “MAP advocacy groups like B4U-Act have advocated for use of the term, and they’ve advocated for it primarily because it’s less stigmatizing than other terms like pedophile.”

The term ‘MAP’ is an acronym which stands for ‘Minor-Attracted Person,’ and is used in online pro-pedophile communities as a way to reduce stigma against individuals who seek to sexually abuse children. It was coined by the co-founder of pedophile advocacy group B4U-ACT, convicted child rapist Michael Melsheimer. Melsheimer explicitly stated that the purpose of the organization was to normalize pedophilia where the National Association of Man-Boy Love (NAMBLA) had failed to do so.

Both B4U-Act and the Virtuous Pedophile (VirPed) community has been influencing researchers and academics for several years from behind a veil of anonymity.

B4U-ACT partnered with a researcher at McGill University in Canada, who then conducted a survey aimed at gaining insight from “child lovers” in online pedophile communities in an effort to attain data on “romantic attraction to children.” The survey, like Walker’s survey, inquired about sexual offending against minors while promising complete anonymity and privacy to respondents.

In 2022, Reduxx became aware that a UK-based administrator of VirPed had been placing letters within books at public libraries. The letters pleaded for more tolerance towards “non-offending pedophiles.” The man behind the campaign, who calls himself Bly Rede, had the year before been promoted by Candice Christiansen, a sex-addiction therapist who serves on the United Nations Human Trafficking Task Force, on her show titled “The Prevention Podcast.” Christiansen is the creator of the website The Global Prevention Project, where she has published submissions from self-professed pedophiles.

Bly warned community members in 2021 that researchers and academics have access to the VirPed forum. “Some researchers describe (without directly quoting) the kinds of things that are discussed here and they might publish those descriptions in papers, articles etc. We see no reason to refuse this,” he wrote.

Bly runs several websites promoting the concept of a non-offending “minor attracted person,” or MAP, and he frequently portrays children as pedophiles in order to induce sympathetic reactions from readers.

In 2019, Bly published an article on his blog “The P Word” which argued that young children can be pedophiles, and that he first realized he was attracted to children when he was a child. In the article, he quotes the definition of pedophilia as stated in the fifth edition of the American Psychiatric Association’s (APA) manual for physicians, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V).

“A pedophile is someone who experiences sexual attraction to children below the age of puberty. It’s quite a simple definition, and you will notice that it isn’t the same as the definition we would give to the term ‘child molester’ or ‘child sex offender,’” Bly remarked.

“That is for the simple reason that being a pedophile does not mean you’re inevitably going to sexually offend against children. Why isn’t this generally known? Because the only pedophiles most of us hear about are the ones who commit offences. The rest are invisible. Why do we stay invisible? Because we are hiding.”

He added, “Most pedophiles realise they are pedophiles at the age of fourteen. For some it’s a little earlier.”

Bly does not mention that the DSM-V definition of pedophilia he refers to was directly influenced by MAP activists.

In 2024, Reduxx discovered that a transgender MAP activist behind a “MAP” merchandise shop was one of the men who involved in a pro-pedophilia group that has consulted academics. Katie Cruz, a pseudonym used by a man who calls himself Cali Miller, said he had been “working behind the scenes” with activist group B4U-ACT, which campaigns to have pedophilia recognized as a sexual orientation, and which has contributed to academic research at some of North America’s top universities.

On Patreon, Cruz has stated that his “age of attraction” is between 9 and 13 years old. He also has claimed to identify as having a “trans age” of between “13 and 17ish.”

In a blog written by Cruz titled “A MAP in Love,” he states that he is “hopelessly in love with little girls” and explains that he holds “radical ideas of legalizing relationships between adults and tween girls.”

“I’ve known for a long time that I was a girl-lover. I’ve always found young girls to be desirable, on an emotional and physical level,” Cruz wrote in 2019. He described how, in 2007, “in the midst of lonely turmoil,” he discovered pro-pedophile advocacy and communities online.

“I read through their heartfelt messages about how much they love and care about little girls. What they were writing was exactly how I felt. And what they preached never changed. They all truly love little girls, just as I do,” Cruz said.

One notable endorsement of VirPed comes from Ray Blanchard, a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. Blanchard has helped to devise protocols and guidelines used internationally via his work with the American Psychiatric Association, which publishes the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual for Mental Disorders (DSM). Blanchard served on the DSM-4 Subcommittee on Gender Identity Disorders in the early 1990’s, and was again appointed to the DSM-5 Working Group on Gender and Sexual Identity Disorders.

Blanchard was also responsible for the DSM-5 entry for pedophilia, which distinguishes a difference between a “pedophilic sexual interest” and a “pedophile disorder,” and conferred with self-described “MAP” activists during the process.

Yet despite promoting themselves as “virtuous pedophiles,” one of the leading figures behind VirPed was arrested in Norway in July and charged with the rape of two children under the age of 14. The man, who has remained unnamed in Norwegian press but is known as “Charlie” online, was reportedly a primary school teacher in Rogaland.

According to local news reports, Charlie was remanded to custody, placed under a contact ban, and held in isolation for the first two weeks of his four-week detention period. He has pleaded not guilty to the charge of raping a minor, but was found in possession of child sexual abuse materials. Under Norwegian law, the sexual abuse of children under the age of 14 is treated as a serious criminal offense and can carry severe penalties.

Charlie was released from police custody on August 13 and is awaiting trial.

Denying reality has consequences: sometimes you escape just a tad singed, and sometimes, you’re completely incinerated, as Catherine Bailhache, a 78-year-old French woman housing a “young man” tragically learned last week when she was stabbed to death in her own home, with all signs pointing to her newcomer roommate as the attacker.

While the French media has yet to release important details on the suspect, what we do know is that he was living with the woman, placed there by a non-profit housing organization, and had only been in her house for just ten days before she was discovered in a bloody heap on the floor, knifed to death. When emergency services entered the home, the “young man” sprang from a closet, with a knife, and tried stabbing the “first responding officer” who was attending to Catherine and trying to secure the premises. Thankfully, another officer shot the “young man” through the shoulder, subduing him, and he’s now under police guard in the hospital as he recovers; when his health permits, he will be jailed as he awaits his trial.

What we can reasonably surmise though is that this “young man” is an “asylum seeker,” “refugee,” or migrant, considering this non-profit was in the business of “offering accommodation to young workers” — but this “young man” was 34 years old. Not saying that 34 isn’t young, but that’s not a young worker…unless you’re a skill-less, parasitic, third world foreigner who has never held a job in any real Western sense, and legitimately cannot figure out how to do so in a first world economy.

And, a third-worlder suspect fits well within the pattern we’ve seen emerge across Europe with the importation of violence-accustomed Africans, and the dredges of the Middle East and central Asia; just days before Catherine was stabbed to death, an Ivory Coast alien slashed and stabbed a young French mother in the chest and face in La Rochelle, about 160 kilometers south of where Catherine lived. (This mother is in critical condition, and not expected to survive.) And, just days before that crime, a French man also suffered a stabbing attack at the hands of a homeless migrant in Lyon, which is over toward the Swiss and Italian border—that man has since died. And then, there was another earlier migrant knife crime, which made headlines for its gruesomeness: a migrant calling himself the “Joker” attacked Killian, a young French man in Paris, slicing Killian’s face into a Glasgow smile.

That’s at least four high-profile incidents just in the month of November, three of which were for sure committed by migrants—I suspect the story will be the same for Catherine’s killer.

Now, I can’t know Catherine’s politics, but based on the fact that she was allowing a “young man” to live in her home, placed there by a non-profit, I’m going to assume she was a leftist, wholeheartedly believing the “coexist” narrative, as if the (Christian) values of the West are inherent to humanity.

Spoiler alert, they’re not. There’s no free lunch with delusional ideology, and as Catherine likely learned, the fallout can be deadly.

But the real political earthquake is happening inside the capital itself, a city long dominated by the NGO–bureaucratic class that pushed austerity, foreign dependency, and radical cultural globalism.

As Bucharest approaches a critical local election, Georgescu’s influence has surged, upending assumptions about who controls the city’s political future.

The latest polling data shows the so-called “unbeatable” Nicușor Dan—darling of progressive, globalist-funded media and Western-funded NGOs—losing ground fast as Georgescu captures the imagination of ordinary Bucharest residents.

Bucharest voters who once tolerated Dan’s technocratic style now appear increasingly exhausted by endless mismanagement, corruption, collapsing infrastructure, and leadership that seems more accountable to Brussels than to Bucharest.

Georgescu, by contrast, has become the rallying point for citizens demanding sovereignty, normalcy, and leadership rooted in national interest—not in external approval.

In the newest survey from the Political Rating Agency, Georgescu has surged into a dominant second place citywide, breathing down the neck of the incumbent mayor.

The numbers show Bucharest’s establishment candidates clustered tightly behind him, signaling that Georgescu—not the system’s favorites—is shaping the agenda of the capital.

From Ciucu and Băluță to Bolojan and Drula, global liberal establishment figures find themselves overshadowed by a candidate that’s been unfairly smeared and one who they once dismissed as irrelevant or fringe.

Even parties aligned with the globalist left have been forced to acknowledge privately that Georgescu’s rise represents a deep frustration with the ruling political class.

The survey, conducted online during the second half of November with over a thousand participants, reveals a Bucharest electorate is increasingly less swayed by the mainstream press’s fear-mongering around sovereignty-focused candidates.

What emerges from the numbers is a city ready to break from the monotony and decay of globalist managerial politics and consider a leader who openly—and confidently— challenges Romania’s subservience to external powers.

With trust in Georgescu rising month after month, the so-called Călin Georgescu phenomenon is now a political reality shaping the capital’s future.

If this trend continues, Romania’s capital city—the epicenter of a national political realignment—could become one not by Brussels-backed technocrats, but by a sovereignist movement determined to put Romanians first.

Two brothers in the Netherlands are on trial for the alleged honor killing of their Syrian teenage sister, whom her family accused of living a Western lifestyle.

The two men are suspected of being involved in the murder of their sister, Ryan Al Najjar, who was drowned, the NL Times reported Thursday.

Twenty-three-year-old Mohamed and 25-year-old Muhanad are suspected of being involved in the murder along with their father, Khaled, who has been named the main suspect in the case. However, he allegedly fled to Syria after the killing, according to i24 News. The father will reportedly be tried in absentia.

Per the Times article:

The Public Prosecution Service (OM) determined that Ryan’s murder was an honor killing. According to the OM, the three men killed the 18-year-old woman because she was dating, behaved too “Western,” and “shamed” her family.

According to the prosecutor, Khaled al-N. Enlisted his sons to pick Ryan up, drive her to a remote location, and throw her weighted body into the water. They did so knowing that their sister would not survive.

Prosecutors have recommended sentences of 25 years for the father and 20 years each for the brothers in the case, the i24 News article said, noting a verdict is expected in early January.

Ryan’s body was found in a lake in northern Netherlands. Her hands and feet were bound and an autopsy report said there was signs of strangulation and drowning.

“DNA evidence from her father was discovered under her fingernails, indicating a struggle,” the i24 News article said.

According to officials, the teenager was targeted because she refused to wear a veil in public and posted a social media video of herself wearing makeup and without a veil.

The father is accused of joining in the killing after the brothers lured their teenage sister to a remote location.

Although the Ministry of Justice and Security has said there was not much officials in the Netherlands could do to bring the father back for trial, the Syrian Ministry of Justice said, “That may have been the case in the beginning when the regime had just fallen. Now the Syrian justice system has been fully restored. We are ready.”

Islam has long been an issue in the Netherlands. In 2014, Breitbart News reported a Dutch right-wing member of parliament called for a purge of mosques.

“Dutch unity, identity and culture are being wrecked by immigration and incubation. We do not want Islam in the Netherlands,” Machiel de Graaf, a member of Dutch anti-immigration and anti-Islam Party for Freedom (PVV), stated at the time.

Two West Virginia National Guardsmen were shot just before Thanksgiving Day (allegedly) by an Afghan terrorist immigrant. While one has died and the other remains in critical condition, the question remains why they were shot. The answer may well have been given to us 126 years earlier by a young Winston Churchill.

Before 3:00 pm on November 26th, three Guard members were on foot patrol, blocks away from the White House. Suddenly, without warning, the suspect, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, jumped from behind a corner. Armed with a revolver, he first began shooting at Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20.

Beckman had no chance to react. Shot in the head, she immediately fell to the ground. Even as she lay helpless, Lakanwal continued pumping rounds into her, before he then shot at the second Guardsman, Staff Sergeant Andrew Wolfe, 24. Wolfe had tried to take cover but was shot in the head as well before he could do so. Bystanders scattered as the third Guardsman fired at Lakanwal, wounding the suspect. Hearing the gun shots, other Guardsmen rushed to the scene to hold Lakanwal down.

There should be no doubt Lakanwal’s intent was to kill as many Guardsmen as he could. That is why he fired head shots at both. This was clearly a planned ambush.

Lakanwal had come to the U.S. in 2021 under Operation Allies Welcome. Having previously worked with a CIA-supported paramilitary unit in Afghanistan known as “Zero Units”, he was allowed to immigrate to the U.S. after the Taliban rose to power (again). He was vetted by the previous administration, through a non-government organization known as “World Relief’ which seemingly, received most of its funding through USAID. However, such vetting may have been greatly limited in a rush to get our “allies” out of the country. Over 76,000 Afghans were brought into the U.S. in this manner.

According to a “childhood friend” of Lakanwal, he was “disturbed” and jaded after working with the CIA; then there’s this, from Jeff Childers at Coffee and Covid:

A long, dramatic 2022 Propublica article about the Zero Units cited its fighters saying they saw Americans as infidels, never trusted us, but worked with us as a lesser evil or a useful path to a ‘new Afghanistan.’

Like the Quran states about non-Muslims, Zero Unit members unequivocally agreed that Americans were infidels. This alone should have given us major concerns about them coming to our country.

We are told by Jeanine Pirro, the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, “it’s too soon to say” what the suspect’s motives were. However, a quote from “The River War” (1881-1899)—a book written 126 years ago by Winston Churchill who had fought against Muslims  in the Sudan in 1899—gives us a good indication as to what may have triggered Lakanwal’s murderous act.

Churchill was most critical of Islam—which he called “Muhammedanism”—noting:

How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries (followers)! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy…A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity…Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the faith: all know how to die but the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science, the science against which it had vainly struggled, the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.

In the years after Churchill published his book, he could have been called “Islamophobic.” However, what he wrote back then remains just as telling today about Lakanwal as it was about Muslims back then. Churchill had an amazing talent in judging people, especially those who hated democracy. It was like a sixth sense that vectored him in on enemies of democracy such as German Chancellor Adolf Hitler before World War II. Yet even today, Churchill’s late 19th century forewarning about Islam goes unheeded.

Current demographic studies project that Islam is growing at a much faster pace than Christianity. Contributing to this increased growth rate is a much higher birth rate that generates a larger and younger population. This is occurring as Christian populations decrease in many Western nations—a product of apathy or atheism. It is estimated by the middle of the 21st century the two religions will be of near equal size globally.

We must come to recognize that we don’t need an in-depth investigation to determine that the Islamist mentality no doubt triggered Lakanwal’s dark side from home, despite his being welcomed to a new land; it is one that has been embedded into the Muslims for over 1,400 years, especially those coming from the third world. It has become part of their DNA, and they routinely claim “infidel” lives.

It is a sad commentary that for those Muslim immigrants truly in search of the freedoms a Western nation can provide for them, as we cannot make a rush to optimistic judgement to vet them. Doing so comes at tremendous risk to our own citizens, as demonstrated by Lakanwal.  Unless we take more cautious action, Christian civilization will indeed go the way of Rome.

A retirement home in Zurich-Leimbach may soon become a temporary asylum shelter for up to 300 migrants, a proposal that has sparked outrage among local residents.

As reported by NZZ, the Swiss city is facing a shortage of accommodation for asylum seekers, and says the currently vacant building, which had been earmarked to be transformed into affordable accommodation for locals, presents one of the few viable large-scale options.

Residents say the plan could overwhelm an already vulnerable district and believe having 300 male asylum seekers move into the area, which is near a local kindergarten and playground, will be a security risk.

The retirement home, owned by the city and closed in August, is scheduled for major renovation with the intention of creating new housing for seniors and families by 2030. Until work begins, officials are exploring interim uses, with the accommodation of refugees now considered the leading option.

The site contains 90 former units and stands near Leimbach’s community center, school, indoor pool, and main play park.

Locals say the scale of the proposed asylum housing is central to their objections. Neighborhood association president Christian Traber argues that Leimbach is already under social and infrastructural strain. He told the NZZ that, with around 300 asylum seekers already distributed across the district, adding another 300 would raise the proportion from four to nearly 10 percent of the population. “That’s simply too many,” he said.

A petition backed by the Leimbach neighborhood association is now being prepared, urging the city to abandon the shelter plan. The petition warns that the proposal “would lead to a significant increase in the number of asylum seekers housed in the neighborhood” and says older residents were removed from the property without “a concrete construction project or a reliable timetable for the renovation.” Its supporters argue the building should instead be refurbished promptly for seniors or used as low-cost housing for students.

Residents who spoke on the record echoed those concerns. Neighborhood association member Anja Graf, 39, says the term “interim use” is misleading, arguing that such Asylum Organization placements tend to last “5 to 10 years.” She told Blick, “Our senior citizens were evicted. The elderly had to leave, were uprooted,” adding, “Renovate the building so that our elderly can move back in.” Graf said she worries about the impact of “300 young male migrants” on public spaces and transport, and claims many locals no longer feel as safe at night as they once did.

“We’re not xenophobic,” she said. “We’re simply not stupid or naive. Because we know what would be coming our way.”

Trix Romer, 66, spent three decades working in the retirement home and says residents were “shocked and afraid” to learn they had to leave. She believes the building would be suitable for student accommodation instead. “The elderly people who created Switzerland as it is today do not deserve to be treated this way,” she said. Former resident Elisabeth Eicher, 92, recalled panic among tenants when the closure was announced. She remained until the final weeks but eventually moved out on her family’s advice.

Official figures show Leimbach has a 9 percent welfare rate, roughly double the city average, with low household incomes, a high share of foreign-language households, and an ageing housing stock. One local school reportedly saw six teachers resign last year, citing overwhelming social pressures.

The city continues to argue that supervision, training programs, and structured routines help large asylum accommodations integrate into their surroundings. A spokesperson for the social services department told the NZZ that collective shelters such as the former SRF building in Zurich-Oerlikon operate under 24-hour supervision and that residents attend work integration or education programs. The city says concerns are being taken seriously, but notes that space for refugee housing remains scarce. “Unfortunately, the city’s options are limited,” spokesperson Stefan Rüegger said.

The decision on whether the Leimbach property will become an asylum center is expected in the coming weeks, and if approved, the building would be occupied from next summer.
