Italian Cardinal Zuppi hails ‘end of Christendom,’ says it won’t be a defeat

By Eric Utter

The lands of Hitler and Mussolini have the wokest-of-the-woke cardinals in the Catholic Church, and now one of them has decided to hail the end of Christianity.

During the General Assembly of the Italian Bishops in Assisi, Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, the president of the Italian Bishops’ Conference, has decided to issue this whopper on the increasing secularization of the West.

According to LifeSite News:

“What is fading is an order of power and culture, not the living force of the Gospel. The believer of today is no longer the custodian of a Christian world, but the pilgrim of a hope that continues to make its way into hearts. In this horizon, the end of Christendom is not a defeat, but a kairòs: the chance to return to what is essential, to the freedom of the beginnings, to that ‘yes’ spoken out of love, without fear and without guarantees.”

To be clear, what is fading in the increasingly secularized West is the power of Christian churches, in large part due to their incessant pandering to secular culture.

The believer of today is no longer the custodian of a Christian world because that world’s leaders have willingly ceded it to everyone else.

The pilgrim sof hope in progressives’ hearts is fervently wishing that they will not be judged for any of their acts, no matter how detrimental to themselves, society, or the Christian Church.

The end of Christendom is not a defeat for the hyper-secular … it is a victory for Islam. One that the new pseudo-Christians have handed to them on the proverbial silver platter.

In this depraved new world, one can say “yes” to anything without guarantee of condemnation … or eternal life. Is that trade-off worth it?

Zuppi noted that freshly minted Pope Leo XIV has stressed synodality and the promotion of “unarmed” peace in a troubled world. Yet everyone with a cerebral cortex knows that, if we weren’t armed, we’d all be forced to worship Xi Jinping or Allah. Probably not a good thing for Christendom.

The zany Zuppi referred to Pope Francis’ expression “change of epoch,” and observed that many are now immersed in a different cultural context, one in which faith is only one possibility among others. He claimed that while Christianity does not disappear for these folks, it is situated within a more personal form of adherence and reiterated that the Church is called to love without reserve and to recognize no form of enemy within society. (“Sex, drugs, and rock-and-roll!”)

In other words, Zuppi would fundamentally transform the Christian Church as Barack Hussein Obama fundamentally transformed the (formerly) United States.

Progressives, Marxists, and Muslims will always aggressively defend themselves. If Christendom will not, it will be a devastating defeat for it, no matter what Zuppi and his ilk say.

And for the world. There will be precious few freedoms at the beginning of this new Dark Age. But there will be plenty of fear, guaranteed.

Three Moroccans arrested for gang rape of Italian teen, dragged from her boyfriend’s car in Rome park

Rome police have arrested three Moroccan men accused of dragging an 18-year-old girl out of her boyfriend’s car and gang raping her while restraining her partner and forcing him to watch.

Investigators say the woman was attacked on the evening of Oct. 25 after a migrant gang surrounded the parked car where she and her 24-year-old boyfriend had stopped late at night in Tor Tre Teste park in the Italian capital.

Police believe the group may have consisted of up to five individuals and are still searching for two suspects.

According to police, the Italian couple had parked their vehicle in a secluded area of the park when the attackers broke the car windows and forced both occupants outside. Corriere della Sera reported that the men restrained the young man while one of the attackers raped the woman. Mobile phones from the couple were then stolen before the men fled on foot.

Authorities say fingerprints recovered from the windows and the vehicle link the three arrested men to the scene.

After the attackers fled, the couple contacted emergency services and provided statements that allowed detectives to identify the suspects quickly.

Two suspects were detained on Oct. 28. A third man was arrested in Venice several days later. Police have kept information limited due to the ongoing investigation, and officers continue to assess whether additional individuals were involved.

The case has prompted political commentary criticizing the limited national attention the incident initially received. Il Prima Nazionale noted that this is not the first serious sexual assault reported in the Tor Tre Teste area. Last August, a Gambian man was arrested in connection with two separate rapes committed between Via Prenestina and the park, including that of a 60-year-old woman.

Despite the seriousness of those incidents, they also did not lead to a broader national debate.

“This silence, even more than the violence, is the political crux of the matter. It reveals how rigidly selective contemporary rhetoric on women’s rights is. It provokes outrage when the perpetrator is an Italian man, recognizable. It fades when the perpetrators are illegal immigrants already marginalized,” the site wrote.

Earlier this week, Remix News reported on data from Italy’s interior ministry for 2024, showing that foreign nationals committed 44 percent of all rapes that year, despite comprising just 9 percent of the country’s resident population.

The data is even more alarming when focusing on minor suspects. In 2023, government data showed that 56 percent of all arrests of minors for sexual violence were non-Italians.

‘Political earthquake’: Poll shows Bardella clear favourite for 2027 French elections

A new opinion poll conducted by Odoxa-Mascaret has projected that Jordan Bardella, President of France’s right-wing National Rally (RN) party, would secure victory in the second round of the 2027 presidential election.

The survey marked a significant shift in France’s political landscape.

Commissioned by Public Sénat and published across regional press outlets including La Voix du Nord and L’Union, the poll simulated voting intentions as if the election were to be held on November 30.

It forsaw Bardella leading the first round with 35 to 36 per cent of the vote, depending on the configuration of centrist candidates, far surpassing rivals from the Left and centre.

He took a jump of 3.5 to 4.5 points in six months, giving the edge for the second round. In the decisive run-off, Bardella emerges as the clear winner in every tested scenario.

Against former prime minister Édouard Philippe, representing a centrist bloc, he would prevail with 53 per cent to 47 per cent.

Against moderate leftist Raphaël Glucksmann, the margin widens to 58 per cent to 42 per cent.

A hypothetical contest with Gabriel Attal, another ex-prime minister and ally of current President Emmanuel Macron, sees Bardella at 56 per cent to Attal’s 44 per cent.

Most strikingly, against left-wing leader Jean-Luc Mélenchon, Bardella secures a resounding 74 per cent to 26 per cent.

The poll, based on interviews with 1,300 French adults aged 18 and over conducted online on November 19 and 20, underscores Bardella’s growing appeal.

He now tops the list of preferred political figures, with 39 per cent approval, four points ahead of his RN mentor Marine Le Pen and seven ahead of Philippe.

This surge follows Le Pen’s five-year ineligibility ruling in March over alleged misuse of European Parliament funds – a decision she is appealing – positioning Bardella as the RN’s presumptive candidate.

Odoxa president Gaël Sliman described the findings as a “political earthquake”, noting that Bardella “frightens people less” than his predecessors.

The poll further signals the erosion of the traditional “republican front” alliance that has historically blocked right-wing advances, as seen in Le Pen’s defeats in 2002, 2017 and 2022, he said.

In a Bardella-Philippe run-off, for instance, only 60 per cent of Glucksmann’s voters would back the centrist, with nearly 40 per cent of Les Républicains (LR) Retailleau’s centre-right supporters also shifting to the RN.

On the Left, the survey highlights divisions: Glucksmann edges Mélenchon 14.5 per cent to 12 per cent in first-round scenarios, reflecting a preference for the more moderate Socialist over the left-wing firebrand.

Centrists fare poorly, with Philippe at 17 per cent and Attal at just 11 per cent, amid Macron’s plummeting approval ratings, now at a historic low of 21 per cent.

This decline stems from the hung parliament and governance paralysis following Macron’s snap legislative elections in mid-2024.

The right-of-centre vote consolidates strongly behind Bardella, capturing 40.5 per cent in first-round tallies, compared to 34.5 per cent for the Left and 25 per cent for the Macronist-LR bloc.

Éric Zemmour’s right-wing Reconquête party scrapes just 3 to 3.5 per cent, below the 5 per cent threshold for campaign reimbursement.

Despite the stark projections, Odoxa cautions against overconfidence.

“Being the overwhelming favourite in a presidential election several months before it takes place is no guarantee of success,” the firm stated, alluding to past upsets and the potential for shifting alliances.

Sliman echoed this, warning that while a right-wing win would no longer constitute a “thunderbolt,” the 18 months until April 2027 leave ample room for volatility.

French Conservative Authors Top Book Sales

The newspaper Le Parisien took a look at the best-selling books in France, both online and in bookshops. The conclusion is clear: the top spot goes to a trio of conservative authors and political figures, Philippe de Villiers, Éric Zemmour and Jordan Bardella.

To be precise, the best-selling author in France at the moment is an American, Freida McFadden, who writes successful thrillers. But when it comes to political books, the result is unequivocal and reflects the French people’s clear preference for right-wing ideas.

Jordan Bardella, president of the Rassemblement National (RN), has already sold nearly 42,000 copies of his programme-narrative, Ce que veulent les Français (What the French Want), published on October 29th. He is almost on a par with Éric Zemmour and his essay on France’s Catholic identity, La Messe n’est pas dite (The Mass Is Not Said), released on October 22nd and already selling 45,000 copies. Both are surpassed by the latest work by sovereigntist Philippe de Villiers, former Member of the European Parliament and founder of the Puy du Fou park, whose new essay, Populicide, published on October 8th, has already won over more than 107,000 readers.

“Zemmour and Villiers have a loyal audience that has been following them for a long time, so their figures come as no surprise,” comments one publisher. In the case of Jordan Bardella, the young politician is benefiting both from the French public’s curiosity about who could replace Marine Le Pen in the 2027 presidential election and from a militant gesture by RN voters, according to the publishing milieu.

But the militant argument is not enough: Marine Le Pen, although very popular within her political party, has never achieved the sales figures of her heir apparent. Bardella’s latest success comes on top of the success of his autobiography, Ce que je cherche (What I’m Looking For), published in the spring, which has sold more than 205,000 copies to date and continues to sell well.

In this context, it is also worth noting the posthumous essay by Olivier Marleix, a Les Républicains MP who took his own life as he was preparing to publish a scathing essay on Emmanuel Macron’s record. Although the author is not widely known to the French public, his criticisms resonate with the French people at a time when the head of state is highly unpopular. Dissolution française (French Dissolution) has already sold more than 4,000 copies, and the MP’s previous work, Les Liquidateurs, published in 2021, had to be reprinted.

At the same time, figures from the Centre and the Left who try their hand at writing struggle to convince more than a few dozen readers. Marine Tondelier, the Green Party candidate for the 2027 presidential election, has not sold the 200 copies that would have put her in the top 100 essays and documents. The same goes for Agnès Buzyn, former Macronist minister, and Xavier Bertrand, who was tipped to become prime minister a few weeks ago.

The mainstream press rushed to investigate whether the information had been falsified or commissioned by the “Bolloré sphere”—named after the main conservative press baron, owner of CNews channel and various press outlets. But the figures remain unchanged and indisputable. This fuels alarmist rhetoric about the irresistible rise of the “far Right” and the “normalisation” of “repugnant” ideas in French public opinion. “The success of Bolloré’s crusade lies in his ability to use well-known media brands as a springboard for normalising these far-right ideas,” explains Alexis Levrier, an expert in media history, interviewed by France Info. According to him, the Fayard publishing house, which publishes Bardella and Villiers and which Bolloré is accused of having “taken over” (Bolloré never “buys out”, he “takes over” according to the left-wing press), has become “a tool for promoting far-right ideas.”

The narrative is one of large-scale manipulation, as it seems inconceivable to commentators that there could be genuine enthusiasm among the French for the ideas developed by Bardella, Villiers or Zemmour—and an irrepressible weariness with the all-too-familiar methods and clichés endlessly repeated by Tondelier, Buzyn and their acolytes in their books, as well as in the mainstream media during prime time.

But contrary to what the left-wing press and book industry experts would have us believe, the manipulation is not one-sided. The distribution of books by Bardella and his alter egos is hampered by censorship orchestrated by ‘independent’ booksellers, who refuse to offer the books for sale or to order them for curious readers who request them. The success of these censored authors is all the more commendable. Orders are being placed on online platforms such as Amazon or FNAC—which in turn fuels the hatred of ideological opponents towards these large capitalist chains that lend their formidable logistics to the dissemination of despised ideas.

We can and must obviously rejoice in the trend that is emerging from these publishing figures. But caution must remain the order of the day. In 2021, success in bookshops led Zemmour to believe that he had a place in the presidential race. The results at the ballot box proved him wrong. Convincing people of the validity of one’s theories through a book is one thing; winning elections is another. Nevertheless, the battle of ideas is paving the way for other victories—but when will they come?

Italian Interior Ministry: Foreign Nationals Linked to Nearly Half of Sexual-Violence Arrests Despite Making Up Just 9% of Population

Recent data from Italy’s Interior Ministry has intensified longstanding, ever-increasingly relevant public concern about violent crime in migrant-heavy regions of Western Europe.

The latest figures have revealed that non-citizens account for 44 percent of all sexual-violence arrests in Italy, despite representing a mere 9 percent of the population.

These numbers are not isolated. Similar patterns have been observed and recorded by the interior ministries throughout other Western European countries, prompting questions about whether current policies are equipped to handle the challenges of never-before-seen demographic change.

Italian journalist Francesca Totolo brought new attention to the issue by compiling a list of assault and harassment cases recorded between November 1 and 19—a fraction of incidents reported nationwide, but more than enough to illustrate a consistent, deeply worrying trend.

Her compilation followed the Interior Ministry’s broader report, which documents that in gang rape cases, half of the identified perpetrators were foreign nationals.

Concerns deepen when examining crimes involving minors. In 2023, 56 percent of sexual-violence arrests involving offenders under 18 were foreign nationals, according to the ministry’s own data.

Another government study examining offenders aged 14 to 34 found that 59 percent of known suspects in sexual-violence cases were foreign nationals—again, a stark overrepresentation relative to their 12 percent share of that age group.

The same report noted that every recorded incident of forced or arranged marriage between 2020 and 2023 was attributed to a foreign-born suspect, reflecting crimes that often involve cultural practices not shared by the host society.

Meanwhile, incidents of domestic violence and family abuse also showed disproportionate involvement by non-citizen offenders, with foreigners representing 36 percent of suspects in that category.

These numbers highlight a repeated statistical pattern that policymakers across Europe continue to debate—and, in many cases, willfully choose to ignore.

Similarly, many major mainstream press outlets across Western Europe rarely report on the attacks or broader statistical data involving migrant crime, often framing violent incidents in ways that omit nationality or immigration status.

Totolo’s list—drawn from local reporting—features repeated examples of women across Italy who were harassed, assaulted, or attacked by foreign-born suspects during everyday activities such as commuting, walking home, or going to work.

The pattern spans small towns and major urban centers, involving offenders with varied backgrounds, legal statuses, and criminal records, including cases where prior allegations had already been reported to authorities.

Public frustration is fueled not only by the attacks themselves, but also by the perception that national-level press often minimizes or contextualizes these incidents in ways that deceptively obscure broader trends.

The Italian statistics mirror similar debates in countries like Germany, Sweden, and France, where crime data has also shown disproportionate involvement of foreign-born men in certain violent offenses.

Since the 2015-2016 migration crisis, the European Union has received more than nine million asylum applications, according to the EU Agency for Asylum. Annual claims peaked at 1.3 million in 2015, remained above a million again in 2022 and 2023, and totaled 8.66 million between 2015 and 2024. Another 399,000 filed in just the first half of 2025.

UK: Home Office ‘plans to house more migrants in Epping despite sex attacks, protests and locals’ fear’

The Bell Hotel High Rd – Google Maps

The Home Office is planning to house more migrants in Epping despite a summer which has seen sex attacks, protests and local fury, the town’s council leader has said.

In a letter to top-ranking ministers, Epping Forest District Council boss Chris Whitbread has accused Sir Keir Starmer of “crass insensitivity” over the plans.

Mr Whitbread says that Home Office contractor Clearsprings is trying to procure eight flats for “asylum seeker” families.

He has urged the PM, Home Secretary, Deputy PM and Housing Secretary to step in and stop Clearsprings – and has pointed to how The Bell in Epping became the centre of “public protests, disturbances, ongoing demonstrations and significant community tensions” following Hadush Kebatu’s sexual assaults earlier this year.

In a letter to the four, he said: “The impact of the housing of asylum seekers within our district is hard to overstate.

“Only this week, the Home Secretary has announced a radical change in Government policy which must in significant part have been influenced by the events in Epping.

“The appearance of such crass insensitivity to our community is astounding.

“The last year has been catastrophic for our community, with fear, anxiety and protests spilling out from Epping across our district to include areas such as Waltham Abbey, Loughton and Buckhurst Hill.

“As the district council and our local partners work hard to stabilise the situation before we can even begin the process of recovery, it is beyond belief that Clearsprings and the Home Office could be so tone deaf to the concerns and anxieties of our residents.

“These proposals to procure no less than eight properties for the accommodation of more asylum seekers within our district are incomprehensible.

“I urge you to reconsider, intervene and stop this ludicrous proposal before it goes any further.”

Epping became the heart of nationwide protests this summer following Kebatu’s attacks in the town.

The asylum seeker had assaulted a 14-year-old girl and an adult woman.

He was found guilty of five offences in September 2025 and sentenced to 12 months behind bars – before being mistakenly released and finally deported on October 28.

Since his attacks, political pressure had piled on the Home Office and Home Secretary to step in and fundamentally change the UK’s asylum system.

Last week, Shabana Mahmood announced plans for a major asylum system overhaul – as well as tougher rules to disincentivise mass legal migration like that seen under the “Boriswave“.

The Home Office insists it is furious at the number of illegal migrants and asylum hotels across Britain, and has committed to close asylum hotels and move migrants into “more suitable accommodation such as military bases”.

“This Government inherited an asylum system in chaos, with tens of thousands of individuals in hotels waiting for their claims to be heard,” the department says.

“We are continuing to engage with local authorities and stakeholders to address the concerns of those most impacted by the sites.”

However, it secured a High Court victory last week to let The Bell continue housing asylum seekers – which was branded “shocking” and a “let down” to locals.

GB News has approached the Home Office for further comment following Mr Whitbread’s letter.

Bishop condemns Scottish bill that would allow assisted suicide for mental illness, low income

Illustration AI Photo Generator

Pending legislation in Scotland could force Catholic nursing homes to close or be defunded, according to Bishop John Keenan. It is just one part of controversial legislation that experts and advocates warn will harm the most vulnerable people.

Scotland is currently considering legislation that would legalize so-called “assisted suicide.” This involves a medical professional giving deadly drugs to someone to kill themself. The Catholic Church is firmly opposed to assisted suicide.

Bishop of Paisley John Keenan recently warned the bill “means Catholic care homes like the Little Sisters in Greenock will now have to allow assisted suicide in their homes or face defunding or closure.”

He urged citizens to contact Parliament to voice their opposition in a November 21 Facebook post.

MSP Liam McArthur has been pushing the “Assisted Dying for Terminally Ill Adults” bill since last March. It is currently in Stage 2.

The misleadingly named legislation both opposes assistance for the dying and does not even include a provision to ensure someone is actually terminally ill, according to Bp. Keenan and other experts.

“One of the rejected amendments would have restricted eligibility to those with six months or less to live,” Catholic News Agency previously reported. “Another proposal would have required people who are seeking an assisted death to be provided with a fully funded palliative care support plan.”

“Almost [all of the] vulnerable groups in Scotland representing the disabled, elderly, and mentally ill are against the [bill] and continue to point out how it puts them at greater risk,” Bp. Keenan said earlier this month.

He stated further:

It will also not exclude a person whose primary motivation for their request is among [the] following nonterminal conditions: eating disorders; intellectual disabilities, including but not limited to [Down] syndrome; mood disorders, including but not limited to depression; anxiety disorders; the receipt of any disability or sickness-related benefits, including but not limited to Adult Disability Payment, or any equivalent welfare payment; loneliness or social isolation; financial hardship or low income; feelings of being a burden to others; poor or unsuitable housing conditions; any other mental health condition or developmental disorder that is not a terminal illness.

Care Not Killing, a medical dignity advocacy group, has expressed similar concerns.

“Assisted suicide is inherently dangerous, but there is no need for Scotland to have the most permissive and unsafe legislation in the world,” the group’s CEO, Dr. Gordon Macdonald, said. “At present, Liam McArthur’s bill poses a very real threat to those who are disabled, depressed or have life-shortening conditions but years or even decades of life to live,” Macdonald told Christianity Today.

‘Assisted suicide’ is a grave sin, Catholic Church teaches

The Catholic Church teaches that assisted suicide, and its counterpart called “euthanasia,” is inherently immoral.

“Euthanasia and assisted suicide are always the wrong choice,” the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith reaffirmed in 2020.

In the note, written by Cardinal Luis Ladaria, the Church affirmed “it is gravely unjust to enact laws that legalize euthanasia or justify and support suicide, invoking the false right to choose a death improperly characterized as respectable only because it is chosen.”

The statement further pointed to evidence that people who choose assisted suicide or euthanasia often do so out of pressure or a fear they are being burdened.

“Physicians themselves report that abuses frequently occur when the lives of persons who would never have desired euthanasia are terminated,” the CDF stated. “The request for death is in many cases itself a symptom of disease, aggravated by isolation and discomfort. The Church discerns in these difficulties an occasion for a spiritual purification that allows hope to become truly theological when it is focused on God and only on God.”

A report from Oregon officials confirms people choose to kill themselves out of fear of being a burden.

While “losing autonomy” remains a central concern among people who killed themselves, more than half of those who killed themselves cited a fear of being a “burden” as a reason behind their decision.

Both euthanasia and assisted suicide have also faced criticism from disability rights advocates who express concern that those with disabilities will be pressured into killing themselves or being killed.

“People with disabilities see themselves targeted by the euthanasia movement, and indeed, note that that the reasons given for permitting terminally ill people to access lethal prescriptions — a limitation on access that is not shared in most other jurisdictions where euthanasia/assisted suicide are legal — deal with issues that people with disabilities face in their everyday lives,” ethicist Wesley Smith previously explained for National Review. “The idea — their fear — is that society is coming to accept the noxious idea that life with disabilities is not worth living.”

Western welfare finances Jihad

by Giulio Meotti

Minneapolis is the first American city to broadcast the Islamic call to prayer five times a day, starting at 5 a.m. It also unanimously decided to amend the noise ordinance, which had prevented calls to Allah at dawn and late at night.

The Catholic Church of St. John in Minneapolis is now a mosque.

Now let us read from City Journal:

“Minnesota is drowning in fraud. In many cases, the fraud was perpetrated by members of Minnesota’s large Somali community. Federal counterterrorism sources confirm that millions of dollars in stolen funds were sent back to Somalia, where they ended up in the hands of the terrorist group Al-Shabaab. As a confidential source stated, ‘the main financier of Al-Shabaab is the Minnesota taxpayer.’”

A story you will not find in any Western newspaper.

Because Minnesota is, after all, the state of Ilhan Omar, the veiled Democratic congresswoman, and of Tim Walz, the state governor and Kamala Harris’s running mate. And Minneapolis is the city of George Floyd.

At the center of the scandal is the Feeding Our Future program, involved in a conspiracy to steal $300 million from this state- and federally-funded initiative aimed at feeding children during the pandemic.

Al-Shabaab is the largest Islamic terrorist organization in East Africa, notorious for massacring Christians-an odd priority, one might say, for Minnesota’s famously woke citizens.

Twenty-four hours before Catholic Easter, a commando of Shabaab terrorists visited Christian students at Garissa University in Kenya.

They entered the campus at 5:30 a.m., killed two guards, and headed toward the dormitories armed with rifles. The campus’s 815 students were dragged from their beds, gathered into large rooms, and separated according to their faith.

“What are the names of Allah?” “What is the name of Muhammad’s mother?” Muslims who could recite verses from the Qur’an were freed; Christians who could not were killed or taken hostage.

It was a massacre: 147 dead.

To the survivors, Al-Shabaab said: “If you continue to worship your God here, we will kill you all.”

This is the devil American citizens are supporting with Western welfare.

We already knew welfare systems had created the perfect environment for an unproductive Muslim underclass in our enclaves.

Now we see that it is also a form of jizya-the tax imposed on non-Muslims in Islam-as the manifestation of a fundamental anthropological structure: a dominant group demanding tribute from others in order to exist on its territory.

The welfare state is based on an implicit assumption: the beneficiary belongs to the community and contributes to its well-being. Here, social assistance is experienced as a tax paid by a society guilty of existing.

The Wall Street Journal conducted an investigation showing how five of the terrorists behind the Paris and Brussels attacks financed themselves with European welfare totaling €50,000.

Khalid el-Bakraoui, the terrorist who blew himself up inside the Brussels metro-killing 16 people-was given €28,000 in various benefits after being released from prison.

According to the Belgian Ministry of Justice, terrorists who fought with ISIS received €123,898 in subsidies.

Salman Abedi, the Manchester concert bomber, used taxpayer money to fund his terrorist plan.

The family of Omar Abdel Hamid el Hussein, responsible for the 2015 Copenhagen attack that killed two people, was receiving Danish welfare payments.

And a document produced by the Ministry of Labor revealed that more than 30 Danish jihadists continued receiving social benefits totaling €90,000 even after joining ISIS. The Danish government paid sickness and disability benefits to terrorists.

In Germany, Bild published an analysis of 450 German ISIS jihadists, showing that 20 percent of them received state subsidies.

In the Netherlands, jihadist Khalid Abdurahman appeared in an ISIS video standing in front of five severed heads he had just cut off in Syria. Volkskrant revealed he had been declared “unfit for work” and subsidized.

The worm is in the fruit.

And now we are also financing those who behead Christians.

Beheading our own future!

Slovenia votes to reject euthanasia law in major victory for life

I have incredible news to share.

The Slovenian referendum campaign to prevent the implementation of the Slovenian euthanasia law won by a vote of 53 percent to 47 percent.

Slovenia passed a euthanasia law earlier this year. In response a citizens group called Voice for the Children and the Family organized a signature campaign and collected 46,000 signatures to challenge the euthanasia law through a referendum.

The Euthanasia Prevention Coalition congratulates everyone who successfully worked on the referendum campaign and we are thankful that we could be intimately involved by sharing articles, interviews, and video footage with the campaign.

The 53 percent to 47 percent victory overturns the euthanasia law and once again protects Slovenians from being killed by poison under the law. Bojan Kavcic reported for the Citizen Tribune that Ales Primc, the head of Voice for the Children and the Family, the NGO that organized the no vote campaign, reacted to the results saying “solidarity and justice” had won.

“Slovenia rejected the government’s health, pension and social reforms based on death and poisoning,” Primc was cited as saying by the Slovenian news agency STA.

The referendum required at least 20 percent of the 1.7 million eligible voters to support the referendum. Kavcic reported that the voter turnout was 40.9 percent, meaning that the referendum validly rejected the Slovenian euthanasia law.

The referendum result means that the government cannot introduce another euthanasia bill for at least 12 months.

Slovenia showed us how an organized and focussed campaign can be successful, even when facing a massive campaign with incredible funding from pro-euthanasia groups.

In January 2024 I had the opportunity to speak in Slovenia and counter the pro-euthanasia rhetoric that they were facing. At that time I met with politicians, several media outlets, including television news interview shows, and spoke to a large audience in Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital, to oppose the Slovenian euthanasia bill, which was very similar to Canada’s euthanasia law.

Today, I am incredibly thankful. Lives will be saved and people will be protected in Slovenia.

Thank you Ales and the campaign team who enabled us to help make a difference and prevent a law that gave Slovenian doctors the right to poison their citizens to death. You have shown us the way.

German business groups lift ‘contact ban’ with AfD representatives

AfD party conference Essen 2015. Wikimedia Commons, Olaf Kosinsky/Skillshare.eu,CC-BY-SA-3.0-DE

The cordon sanitaire against the Alternative for Germany party (AfD) looks to be crumbling among German industrialists, with two major associations reviewing their approach to the right-wingers.

On November 16, the influential association of family enterprises Die Familienunternehmer (The Family Business Entrepreneurs, FU) announced it was ending its “ban” on any contact with AfD representatives.

“At the core, our decision was about the interpretation of what the cordon sanitaire against AfD actually is and what its aims are,” FU president Marie-Christine Ostermann told newspaper Handelsblatt today.

“For us the cordon sanitaire meant that we did not invite AfD MPs to our events out of principle. We have now ended this type of contact ban,” Ostermann said.

She added, though, that her association was not keen to see AfD as a coalition partner in a future government.

However, the business association has felt the consequences of their new openness already. On 24 November German media reported that Deutsche Bank had cancelled its rental agreement with FU for its Berlin event location.

The decision of the FU to at least allow some sort of contact with the right-wingers coincides with a recent decision by the Federal Association of Medium-Sized Businesses (BVMW), another business association, to review its own relationship with AfD.

As BVMW Chairman Christoph Ahlhaus told news platform The Pioneer on November 20: “Polls and election results currently do not indicate that the strategy of the cordon sanitaire has been successful. It seems necessary to have a broad debate in our society with respect to the latest survey.”

Ahlhaus added that his association would soon issue new guidelines for contact with AfD: “The BVMW will not shy away from the question of how to deal with the AfD and will promptly develop a position in its committees,” he said.

BVMW represents more than 29,000 small and medium-sized enterprises, while FU claims to represent 6,500 family-owned enterprises that includes car producer BMW, pharma group Merck, and insurer AXA.

Ahead of the 2025 general election, the FU had actively campaigned against AfD. Ostermann warned at the time that a vote for AfD was “useless”.

She claimed: “AfD voters prevent a change in migration and economic policy,” and urged them to vote instead for the Christian Democratic Union or the Free Democratic Party.
