In Germany, the right-wing Alternative for Germany party (AfD) is establishing itself as the most popular party with voters according to two recent surveys.
Both published were today and dubbed a “shock” for the government of Chancellor Friedrich Merz by tabloid Bild.
In the latest poll by INSA for Bild, AfD would hit 26 per cent of the vote, extending its lead over the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) to 1.5 percentage points. The CDU would receive 24.5 per cent with coalition partner the Social Democratic Paarty (SPD) coming in a distant third with only 15 per cent.
In another survey by pollster Forsa for news station RTL, the right-wingers would get 27 per cent of the vote if there was a general election on September 28. The CDU would only get 25 per cent. The SPD would drop to 13 per cent.
In both polls, The Greens and the far-left Die Linke party get around 11 per cent of the vote and no other group would make it past the 5 per cent hurdle necessary to enter the German Bundestag, or parliament
Both the INSA and the Forsa surveys are established polls for which more than 2,000 Germans each are questioned on their political preferences.
With the latest surveys, AfD has been leading the polls for more than two weeks – echoing a growing discontentment of the German electorate with the CDU-SPD coalition government of Merz.
His personal popularity is also in freefall. In the latest ranking of politicians INSA, he has lost another four places and is now the third-most unpopular out of the 20 politicians in the ranking. Meanwhile, Alice Weidel, the leader of AfD, has reached her best ranking yet, coming in at number 10 out of 20.
Commentator Boris Reitschuster accused Merz of “confusing the audience with the jury”, writing: “He plays the agreeable, the well-groomed, the ‘reasonable’ conservative with a red-green veneer, who doesn’t want to scare anyone away with truly conservative, middle-class positions.
“He seems like he’s been through a wind tunnel, as if he swallows his words every day. Playing this game wins you applause in the studio – but outside, you lose the people who really matter,” Reitschuster said.
“The country is tired of window-dressing symbolism. It wants plain talk on migration, energy prices and internal security.
“Instead, Merz delivers interviews, signals and little bows to those who will never vote for him and rarely treat him fairly. It’s a strategy that only works in the red-green editorial offices of the country – not with the real people that fill in the ballots,” he concluded.

An inquest has ruled that a woman who was groomed and sexually abused in Rochdale took her own life.
Charlotte Tetley suffered a deterioration in her mental health after a decision to remove her from an inpatient bed list on June 25 last year, Sarah Murphy, assistant coroner for Cheshire ruled.
Her inquest at Cheshire Coroner’s Court in Warrington heard the 33-year-old had a complex longstanding mental health history and was a victim of the grooming in Rochdale, suffering, “significant sexual abuse.”
Now, the coroner has issued a report to try to prevent any similar future deaths.
Her inquest heard Ms Tetley had been under the Macclesfield Community Mental Health Team since July 2023 when she moved from Rochdale after her abuser returned to the area.
She had been diagnosed with an emotional unstable personality disorder and had previously been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and substance misuse causing behavioural and mood disorder, using drugs as a coping mechanism.
On June 18, last year she attended the accident and emergency department at Macclesfield Hospital voicing concerns for her safety and thoughts to jump in front of a train.
But six days later medics decided she did not need a mental health inpatient bed though Ms Tetley herself felt the only option for her to get better was for her to continue as an inpatient.
The next day, Ms Tetley, who was homeless, was discharged before an attempted review by a mental health specialist.
She later engaged with the community mental health team and community drug services, but on September 18 last year, was removed from railway tracks by British Transport Police and taken to the accident and emergency department of Macclesfield District General Hospital.
Ms Tetley had reported feeling suicidal to workers who had found her, but she left the hospital before being reviewed by the mental health liaison team.
On the morning of her death, September 24, she spoke with her mental health keyworker and expressed longstanding suicidal ideation without immediate intent.
Ms Tetley also attended the office of the community drug and alcohol team and was noted to be tearful and in low mood.
Later the same day, she was fatally struck by a train near Macclesfield.
South Cheshire coroner Sarah Murphy said: “The police maintained that nobody would be deployed and suggested that a response vehicle should go out.
“The ambulance service was duly contacted…but the clinical lead was informed that, as the whereabouts of Ms Tetley was unknown, they would not deploy anyone”.
Ms Murphy, in her report released to the public today, said: “During the course of the investigation my inquiries revealed matters giving rise to concern. In my opinion there is a risk that future deaths could occur unless action is taken.”
The coroner’s report said her concern was the fact that Ms Tetley was removed from the inpatient bed list on June 25, before an attempted review by a mental health practitioner later the same day.
The Coroner continued: “I am concerned that there is a risk that patients are removed from the inpatient bed list before an appropriate review that day, by a mental health professional.”
The report, sent on September 14, gives the chief executive of Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Trust 56 days to issue an official response.
In January 2024, a review revealed girls in Rochdale were “left at the mercy” of paedophile grooming gangs for years because of failings by senior police and council bosses.
The review focused on 111 cases in the town from 2004 to 2013 and set out a series of failed investigations by Greater Manchester Police.
Rochdale Council said it was “determined to ensure these terrible failures do not happen again”.

Mere hours after the grotesque public assassination of Charlie Kirk on a college campus, it was clear that his killing would become some kind of catalyst.
Some felt that it was a step closer to widespread political violence, perhaps even as a predicate to civil war. Conservative commentators announced that the time for speaking was now over; many observed that Kirk was a mainstream conservative who prioritized engagement with his ideological opponents. The public rejoicing from many prominent leftists has triggered justifiable rage on the Right.
It is now clear that Kirk was killed for his Christian views on LGBT ideology. The assassin was sending a message to America: Speak against the LGBT movement at your own risk.
But Kirk’s murder has not cowed the young conservatives who held him as a hero. Instead, his death has triggered an unprecedented surge in young people rallying to his cause. Turning Point USA has been flooded with applications for both jobs and TPUSA college and high school chapters over the last ten days. The day Kirk was killed, TPUSA had 900 university chapters and 1,200 high school chapters.
By the time Erika Kirk – who has now been unanimously appointed as her husband’s successor by the TPUSA board – gave her speech memorializing her husband, the organization had been swamped by 18,000 chapter requests. By September 14, they had received over 32,000 inquiries. By September 19, TPUSA had received over 62,000 student signups to join an existing chapter or start a new one. If TPUSA was a force under Charlie Kirk, his assassination has proven a staggering force multiplier.
The producer of the Charlie Kirk Show and one of Kirk’s closest friends has described the outpouring of support as nothing short of “miraculous.”
Indeed, Charlie Kirk’s lifetime goal was a TPUSA chapter in every high school – 32,000 of them – as well as a massive expansion of the college chapters. This goal once seemed extraordinarily ambitious. Mere days after his death, it may now be within reach. Kirk’s death may prove to be a catalyst not for violence, but for his already incredible movement to morph into an unstoppable, culture-changing force operating in tens of thousands of leftist strongholds.
As I detailed in Chapter 2 of my recent book How We Got Here: A Guide to Our Anti-Christian Culture (titled “Weapons of Mass Instruction”), the sexual Left colonized the minds of several generations on college campuses and public schools. In addition to hijacking curriculums, one of the key methods that the Left utilized was “Gay-Straight Alliance” clubs and other LGBT organizations, while conservative and Christian students were either censored or cowed into silence.
What will happen if suddenly, overnight, thousands of these educational institutions suddenly have conservative clubs on campuses and in schools pushing back against these narratives utilizing the same well-researched, winsome, and dialogue-oriented methods that Charlie Kirk used? What would happen if the countless students who hold Christian beliefs and pro-life views decided to speak up, with a massive movement at their backs to defend their right to do so?
What if Charlie Kirk’s horrifying assassination is the catalyst for breaking the LGBT movement’s vise-grip on our institutions of learning?
In his short 31 years on this earth, Charlie Kirk became a historical figure in his own right. President Donald Trump credited him as being a significant contributor to his 2024 election victory. No less a progressive than Ezra Klein of the New York Times credited Kirk with turning young people toward conservatism. If this wave of courageous enthusiasm results in an explosion of the movement he began, the full extent of his legacy may prove to be far greater than we can yet imagine.
A Scottish trans-identified male residing in England has appeared in court accused of sexually abusing a child. Kizzy Lavender Lee-Wimbridge, who is the former Operations Lead and Volunteers Coordinator for Newbury Pride, has been charged with attempting to coerce a young girl into sexual abuse and making indecent photographs of a child.
While details of the alleged offenses have not been disclosed at this time by police or the court, Reduxx learned that Lee-Wimbridge appeared at Reading Crown Court on September 16. An inquiry into the charges against him found that he has been charged on multiple counts related to a victim under the age of 13. The extensive list of charges include:
Attempt to cause/incite a female child under 13 to engage in sexual activity
Adult attempt to engage in sexual communication with a child (4 counts)
Make indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child (3 counts)
Attempt to cause/incite a girl 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity
Reduxx has also learned that Lee-Wimbridge was active in the trans rights community in the Newbury area. He was featured as a speaker for the Trans Day of Remembrance by Reading Pride in 2022, and held positions with Newbury Pride that same year, where he was photographed posing with a police officer.

In a video posted by the organization to their YouTube channel, Lee-Wimbridge recounts an instance of “transphobia” he allegedly experienced as a transgender “Romani traveler and gypsy.”
While attending the Appleby Horse Fair that year, Lee-Wimbridge describes how being his “true self” caused children to bully and victimize him. “I went with my cousin, who is a lesbian,” he says.
After setting up their tent, Lee-Wimbridge alleges that “a group of five young Irish traveler children decided it would be fun to come terrorize us.”
“So, terrorize,” he continues. “It’s a big word. The main thing that they were doing was transphobia. It wasn’t the fact that there was [sic] two females together, it was transphobia. The transphobia that I received there was being poked with burning hot sticks, them trying to set my skirt on fire, calling me Dora the Explorer for some unknown reason, along with deciding Michael Jackson was a brilliant insult.”
He continued: “They started putting the burning bits of fire through the tent we were in, trying to set fire to the tent and us inside, while saying, ‘Is it male? Is it female?’ So. Transphobia. Is it good? No. Can it be very dangerous? Definitely. Is it life and death for some people? Most definitely.”
Lee-Wimbridge operates multiple social media accounts, some of which he uses under an alternate name derived from the main character of a vampire triology. On various social media accounts via Instagram and TikTok, Lee-Wimbridge refers to himself as Mircalla Karnstein, from an 1872 novella titled Carmilla by Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu. The female vampire Karnstein is known for her preference for young female victims. In an apparent homage to the novel, Lee-Wimbridge had a tattoo emblazoned on his left arm in red ink which reads: “Darling, darling. I live in you and you would die for me. I love you so.”
Reduxx has discovered a disturbing digital footprint belonging to Lee-Wimbridge, including a social media profile within an online fetish community where he claimed to be a “trans lesbian” with a sexual interest in “age play.”
Lee-Wimbridge maintained a profile on the internet’s leading fetish community, FetLife, where he expressed a sexual interest in humiliation, BDSM, schoolgirl fetishes, redheads, polyamory, age play, and public sexual acts.
He also appears to have named himself after a red-haired female porn actress known as “Kizzy Lee,” of whom videos are featured on FetLife that involve extreme bondage and torture scenarios.
On social media, Lee-Wimbridge has documented an alleged relationship he entered with a mother of two young children. By the following year, the mother had begun identifying as transgender herself.
While he has not recently been active on X, a profile picture of Lee-Wimbridge dated 2023 depicts him wearing a club jacket for the Newbury & Thatcham Hockey Club, suggesting that he may have taken up women’s league sports there.
Speaking to local press Newbury Today in 2022 about his involvement with organizing his community’s first-ever Pride event, Lee-Wimbridge stated: “Newbury has been really supportive. I feel a lot of pride and a lot of relief that it’s actually managed to happen.”
People celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk are worse than sick—they’re downright evil.
Has there always been this much evil? Or is it worse than it used to be? The answer is not only is it worse, it is much worse, because the philosophical basis of our country has been deteriorating for years.
The United States was created by men of the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment, also known as the Age of Reason, was an intellectual movement in the 17th and 18th centuries that used reason as the primary source of knowledge. In essence, the United States was based on reason, and it is reason that has been abandoned due to bad philosophical ideas.
In the 1920s, the Frankfurt School in Germany taught and expanded upon the ideology of communism by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. It was there that Critical theory, a theory that criticizes modern society, was born. By holding this belief, that Western Civilization stood in the way of provoking a socialist revolution, the Frankfurt School condemned Western culture. To put it another way, they went about trying to destroy Western Civilization because they viewed reason as a threat.
The ideas of Marx and Engels traveled to the United States, and quickly spread through our universities, high schools, elementary schools, and even in preschools. Education became a prime target because one of the fastest ways to destroy a country or civilization is through the children. The goal is to prevent them from learning how to think, because then when children become adults, they can be controlled by the state. Like Lenin purportedly said, “Give us the child for eight years and it will be a Bolshevik forever.”
“Father of education” John Dewey (1849–1952) developed a system to dumb down children called “progressive” education, and his approach is used today in most schools, both public and private. He was a social determinist and diehard socialist, who loathed individualism and capitalism. He aimed to turn America into a socialist state like the Soviet Union, so, to that end, he created a plan to fundamentally transform education. He thought that there was no free will, the child was formed by social relationships instead of his own mind, and the individual should be subordinated to the group—but perhaps Dewey’s most horrific position was his view of reality. Unlike the educator Maria Montessori, he did not think that objective truth existed. Instead, he thought that truth is whatever the group believes. So, unless there were some social benefit, he viewed the individual pursuit of knowledge as a negative objective and even discouraged it. The purpose of education, according to Dewey, is to socialize children, not to understand the real world.
The idea that “the truth is whatever the group believes” stands against identifying the facts of reality and paralyzes thinking. With this kind of system, relationships take primacy over truth, so, to avoid conflicts among the students, children feel pressured to agree rather than to try to figure out right from wrong or truth from falsehood.
When students go to college, they are told outright that there is no such thing as reality. They are told that reality is different for everyone, that no one can know anything for sure. Students are taught to disregard facts, and even worse, that they don’t exist. Those who think reality is unknowable live in a state of confusion and therefore feel insecure. In order to navigate life, they become reliant upon what other people say is true, and go around repeating what they have heard as factual. If a person does not operate by identifying the facts of reality by himself, the only other way to function is with emotions and whims.
Ideas matter. And false ideas that are accepted have negative results. If there is no such thing as reality, a man can change into a woman, insults and smears can be called tolerance, morality is fluid, and death can be celebrated. Evil flourishes by default when reason, the means of human survival, is abandoned.
Our country needs reason, and reason has been rejected because reality has been rejected. Without objective reality, anyone’s views are just as valid as anyone else’s, anything goes, and the world collapses in chaos and evil as we are witnessing today. Charlie Kirk was correct when he said, “When people stop talking, that’s when you get violence.” But it is even more accurate to say, as Ayn Rand pointed out, “When men abandon reason, physical force becomes their only means of dealing with one another and of settling disagreements.”

The opening on Saturday was dedicated to the youth. Still, the heart of the rally beat on Sunday, September 21st, when Matteo Salvini took the stage and set out the roadmap: no to a European army, no to sending Italian sons to war in Ukraine, and the defense of a domestic agenda focused on a flat tax, justice reform, housing, and security. On family economy, Salvini said “Extend the flat tax to all workers … pay less and let everyone pay.” On social priorities, he called on banks to contribute to a major housing plan: “Those who can must lend a hand … so that our children can buy a home.”
The Lega leader framed the gathering as a celebration of love for traditions, roots, and homeland, asking his followers to mark February 14th for a significant mobilization: “On Saturday, February 14, we will be the protagonists of the largest demonstration ever held in defense of the values, rights, borders, and freedoms of Western civilization … I ask you for commitment and, in return, I offer you my life and freedom. Free, strong and without fear.”
The rally included a moment of reflection when Salvini asked for a tribute to Charlie Kirk, the American conservative activist assassinated earlier this month. First, a minute of silence with images on the screen; then, a thunder of clapping: “Now a minute of applause that reaches all the way to Arizona.” The gesture underlined the core message of the importance of defending freedom of expression against political violence.
The continental dimension of the event was evident in the interventions of Jordan Bardella and Santiago Abascal, reinforcing the RN–Lega–Vox axis. Bardella emphasized freedom as the core of Western civilization: “Freedom of expression is the heart of Western civilization… Today it is under threat: in Europe, you can risk your life for a cartoon or for criticizing radical Islamism.” He stated that
While the Patriots defend freedom, the radical left chooses violence.
Abascal sent a video that drew ovations: “Thank you for remaining faithful to a Europe of nations … They will do everything because they want us to kneel, but they will not succeed … They will not silence us: we are going to win.”
The international script was completed with youth delegations from RN, Fidesz, VOX and the Young Republicans from the U.S., and with a clear stance on the Middle East: “Two peoples, two states” would be “impossible as long as the Islamist butchers of Hamas hold Palestinian and Israeli children hostage,” Salvini said..
One year ago, 19-year-old Philippine was raped and murdered by a Moroccan migrant with a long criminal history, including a rape conviction. The victim’s shattered mother says the man should have never crossed her daughter’s path.
A year after the tragic murder of their 19-year-old daughter, Philippine’s parents spoke with Le Figaro to honor her memory but also describe their ongoing hellish struggle to life without their daughter, with the mother saying she is now “half-dead.” Philippine, described by her parents as “full of life, radiant, intelligent, and loving,” was a top student who was killed in the Bois de Boulogne on September 20, 2024, by a criminal rapist and illegal Moroccan migrant with a deportation order.
The Moroccan migrant, who was subject to a French deportation order for a previous rape that he was convicted of, remains in jail in connection with her death.
The parents say they want to remain non-confrontational.
“That is not our mindset. What we want is to pay tribute to Philippine,” Loïc, the father, said.
However, Le Figaro reported that the parents still harbor a deep and quiet anger.

Those who failed in their duty didn’t have a single word for Philippine; no one sent a wreath to her grave. It shows how little they feel guilty or responsible,” Blandine, the mother, said,
The parents do not name any names of the politicians or authorities they believe failed to protect their daughter.
“But we have enough grief not to beat our heads against a wall. Maybe I will be angrier when I have less pain.” However, they both agreed that the Moroccan should have never been able to harm their daughter.
“This individual should never have been in her path, so it’s even more revolting,” the parents told Le Figaro.
That fateful day
On that fateful day, Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, Philippine left Paris-Dauphine University around 2 p.m. to walk to her student room. In the Bois de Boulogne, she crossed paths with Taha Oualidat, a 22-year-old Moroccan man with a prior conviction for rape. An autopsy later confirmed that the Moroccan strangled Philippine to death.
For the past year, her parents, Loïc and Blandine, have kept a fluorescent light on in her room in the family home in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, as if to maintain her presence. Philippine grew up in this peaceful neighborhood and was known as the sibling who excelled at everything.
France lost Philippine Le Noir de Carlan after failing to deport Taha Oualidat, who already raped another student in 2019.

“Philippine is perfect; she knows how to do everything and does everything well,” shared one of her older sisters. Her parents, who still live in the same house, can hear children playing in the nearby “Philippine Square” from their home.
Though they are private people, her parents felt it was important to share her story.
“It’s important for us to talk about Philippine; she was wonderful,” Blandine began.
Loïc added, “We received hundreds of letters. The church square was full during the funeral. It was completely overwhelming. This article is also to thank all those people who were so moved and shocked by what happened.”
After high school, Philippine had many prestigious university options, but she chose Paris-Dauphine to study Economics and Financial Engineering. She was not only brilliant but also incredibly hardworking. Her mother explained, “When she did presentations with friends, she would redo everything before handing in the document. She would stay up all night, but she wanted it to be perfect. She always wanted to give the best of herself.”
Her father noted, “She was very demanding of herself and therefore very demanding of others.”
The family noted how often Philippine came home to visit and stay with them, despite studying in Paris In fact, Philippine had already envisioned having a large family. Her mother recalled with tenderness, “I have a photo of Philippine with a baby. She had a gift for communicating with toddlers and captivating their attention.”
Le Figaro paints a picture of a family that will remain forever haunted by what they lost. The paper describes photos of Philippine and her smile, which fill the family living room.
Philippine’s parents reminisce about family vacations, Philippine making cakes for her sisters, and days spent splashing in lakes with her siblings — all the memories that fill a young life.
She was also known for her sharp wit and honesty. As her mother described, “People generally took it well because she did it with a lot of love. She loved people.”
Loyal to her friends from middle school, whom she called “the seven little dwarfs,” Philippine was a central figure in their group. “They would meet up regularly; I don’t know what they talked about,” her mother chuckled. She was also an avid scout, with friends remembering her kindness, joy, and “always well-placed” jokes.
For an association, she spent two years preparing a camp to help children in Romania.
At her funeral, her friends wrote, “We will continue to grow, to laugh, to cry, to eat cookies, to party, and to go on adventures with you. We are going to live for you, dream for you, accomplish great things for you. We will miss your smile and your laughter forever. You are now the star who will guide each of us in our lives.”
Le Figaro reports that Philippine was a deeply altruistic person. When she became old enough, she donated her blood and even her hair to charities that make wigs for cancer patients.
“That made a big impression on me, and I often think about it,” Blandine shared. “Her hair was very important to her… She grew her hair out, and one day she gave it away.”
Blandine and Loïc are still trying to rebuild their lives. Both have returned to work part-time.
Blandine finds comfort in her faith but struggles to move on.
“I am Catholic; I am convinced that Philippine is with the Father,” she said. “I buried my daughter, but I need her to give me a sign. And maybe then I can let her go. I haven’t moved an inch in a year; I’m half-dead. Almost every day, I have little things to tell her, and there’s only silence.”
The parents said that even Philippine’s pet rabbit, Puka, which she got at 13, couldn’t survive her absence.
“Philippine passed away on Friday, Sept. 20. The rabbit was starting to get very old, so we took him into our room. And he died on Friday, Dec. 20. He couldn’t stand not seeing Philippine anymore; he couldn’t survive,” Blandine recounted.
The Moroccan with a long criminal record
After serving a seven-year sentence for a previous rape, Taha Oualidat was placed in an administrative detention center. He was subject to a French deportation order but couldn’t be sent back to Morocco without that government’s approval.
A judge, while recognizing his danger, released him under house arrest in a hotel.
Oualidat never went to the hotel, and he disappeared before running into Philippine. It was Philippine’s family who found her body during a search the next day. Oualidat was later charged with murder, rape, theft, and fraud.
Blandine also spoke about the dangerousness of the Bois de Boulogne.
She said, “The Bois de Boulogne has a bad reputation; we know that, but Philippine was there at 2 in the afternoon, in a place where people were passing by. It wasn’t Philippine who wasn’t in the right place at the right time. It was the other person, the suspect, who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. People have to understand that their little girls can be all sweet, dressed in pants and a T-shirt, and there are still people who mean harm.”
“The repeal of the Marleix law disgusted and devastated me. How can men and women take the risk that our young people will be murdered?” she said, outraged. The French interior minister is currently working to ensure the law is enacted, according to a statement on his website.

Philippine’s family are not the only ones mourning. Many across France commemorated her death, with feminist activist organization Collectif Némésis holding a ceremony for the young woman on Sept. 20.
“You were engaged, full of plans and dreams. You were radiant. You could have been my little sister, and I will continue to pray for you,” one of their speakers said during the ceremony.
The group erected a memorial stone at the exact spot where the young woman was murdered.

The father, Ludovic, was trying to raise awareness about the French government and its lack of response to the brutal crime, as well as to the fact that the man who allegedly tortured his daughter into a coma had a long criminal record but remained free to attack again.
“(The government) not communicating about this attack gives credit to all these sexual predators and other parasites of society who plague the streets. A wake-up call to the government about the fact that we leave this kind of individual, with a heavy criminal past, in complete freedom, would be welcome. ‘Trust in justice,’ we were told… We only want that,” he said.
As Remix News previously reported, the 18-year-old suspect has a long and violent criminal record consisting of 17 offenses involving physical assault, theft, and the incestuous sexual assault of his younger sister.
“I dream of a France where a young woman is not in danger of ending up in a coma after being robbed, raped and horribly tortured by Oumar, a repeat offender, in her own home,” wrote former presidential candidate Éric Zemmour at the time.

A pastor on German state media has compared those critical of the media portrayals of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk to the “Devil”.
Since the assassination of American conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University earlier this month, German media has been awash in negative and often fabricated depictions of the 31-year-old free speech campaigner. This has included public broadcaster ZDF branding Kirk’s positions as “racist” and “misogynistic”, all without providing evidence for such claims.
The deeply biased depictions of Kirk in the German press have drawn heavy criticism at both home and abroad, and could potentially result in the revocation of ZDF journalist Elmar Theveßen’s visa to the United States after he falsely claimed that Kirk wanted to stone gay people to death and accused White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller of having views akin to Nazi Germany.
Rather than admonish those in the press for spreading demonstrably false or biased interpretations about Kirk, prominent protestant pastor Annette Behnken focussed on people who have criticised the media after Kirk’s killing.
Behnken, who hosts the Wort zum Sonntag (Word on Sunday) Christian series on the ARD public television network, lamented that the world is full of “poison”. This poison, she said, has spread throughout everyday life and “is called hate, incitement, and lies.”
She said that one manifestation of this poison is when “a right-wing radical racist is trivialised as a conservative who has inspired the youth.”
“And now it becomes even more absurd,” the pastor continued: “just saying what is, leads to the insinuation that one justifies a murder. This is the total twist. Diabolos. That’s what the Bible calls the Devil.”

The heated rhetoric against Kirk was not contained to the ARD airwaves on Sunday. Indeed, German news magazine Der Spiegelcharacterised the memorial as a “funeral service for a right-wing extremist”.
Meanwhile, Bibiana Barth, a presenter for the public Tagesschau 24 tv station, suggested that Kirk was responsible for his own death because he advocated for gun rights in the United States.
Commenting on the negative coverage of the Kirk memorial, former U.S. ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell said: “The European media has failed the people for decades with their constant Left wing propaganda. America has beaten the radical Left media by exposing them. It’s time for Europeans to wake up and do the same.”
Die Welt columnist Harald Martenstein also condemned the press coverage of of Kirk’s killing, writing: “The murder of Charlie Kirk reveals a deep moral depravity among certain left-wing journalists: They spread lies to somehow justify the crime. They show compassion only for their own kind and for those whose suffering can be exploited for political gain.”
“Anyone who cannot forget political differences for a while even in the face of death and react humanely is morally bankrupt. Among other things, Kirk was attacked by violent fantasies against homosexuals. Anyone who even throws invented slander at murdered persons in order to make the murder somehow seem justified (for what else?), is no longer far from complicity,” he added.
