A pair of Jewish tourists, an American man and his Israeli wife, were attacked by a dozen-strong group of North African men in Venice on the night of between Sunday and Monday, local newspapers reported on Thursday.
The attack began shortly after midnight in the area of Venice’s Santa Fosca church when the group noticed that the man’s clothes suggested he was Jewish, according to the reports.
The couple tried to get away after the group started insulting them and shouting ‘Free Palestine.’ But the gang surrounded them, and intimidated them by simulating sex acts. A member of the group used a Rottweiler dog to scare the couple and a 31-year-old Tunisian then slapped the Jewish man in the face, having put out his hand pretending to want to shake hands.
At the end of the attack, the woman suffered an injury to her ankle by a bottle that had been smashed on the group, the reports said.

Knife attack on teacher in Essen, Germany – investigators see evidence of Islamist motive

According to North Rhine-Westphalia Interior Minister Herbert Reul, the knife attack on a teacher at a vocational college in Essen last Friday could have an Islamist background. In the case of the 17-year-old Kosovar suspect, evidence pointing to this is mounting, said the CDU politician in the interior committee of the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament. ‘The Federal Prosecutor General is currently reviewing whether to take over the case,’ said Reul.

The woman was seriously injured in the knife attack. An arrest warrant was issued for the young man, who was injured during his arrest. A large-scale operation involving special forces was carried out.

Reul said that the charge currently stands as attempted manslaughter. However, following a recent evaluation of data storage devices, ‘evidence of a religiously motivated crime’ has been found. When questioned by the committee, the minister clarified that ‘evidence of an Islamist motive is mounting.’ This evidence consists of videos made by the suspect. He was unable to provide any further details.

The Essen public prosecutor’s office has also informed the Central Office for Combating Terrorism. The young man had already been reported to the police in 2023 for ‘threats, violation of the Weapons Act, grievous bodily harm and possession of child pornography’. However, he was not known to the police’s state security department beforehand.

However, according to initial suspicions, the suspect could also be responsible for another attempted homicide last Friday, Reul said. On that day, a homeless person was attacked with a knife in Essen city centre. According to the minister, investigators are also treating this case as attempted murder. The attack on the 45-year-old teacher was therefore not the only attempted homicide on that day. However, Reul said that no premature conclusions should be drawn.

The 17-year-old Kosovar was critically injured by police gunfire during his arrest on Friday. Investigators said that due to his health condition, the arrest warrant could not be served until Sunday. As of Monday, the teenager was no longer in critical condition but remained in hospital for treatment.

According to a police spokesperson, officers were alerted at around 9.30 a.m. on Friday and cordoned off the building. Special forces also took part in the operation. Several media outlets reported that a helicopter was flying over the scene of the crime.
After attacking the teacher, the alleged perpetrator is said to have run towards police officers with a knife in a park in Essen, according to the news agency dpa, citing security sources. He was eventually shot and injured during his arrest near the main railway station, police said.

Left-Wing MEPs Jeer Charlie Kirk Tribute in EU Parliament

European Parliament Strasbourg , Wikimedia Commons , Diliff, CC-BY-SA-3.0

The plenary session of the European Parliament descended into shouting and jeers on Thursday after left-wing MEPs refused to observe a minute of silence for American conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was murdered on Wednesday. The gesture, requested by representatives of the Conservatives and Reformists group (ECR) and supported by Patriots for Europe (PfE), sparked a verbal confrontation that sharply divided the chamber.

The gesture was proposed at the beginning of the session as a sign of respect for Kirk, a prominent conservative voice on both sides of the Atlantic. However, the left-wing parties rejected the proposal, arguing such tributes should not be part of the institution’s official proceedings.

The refusal sparked a backlash from conservative and patriotic MEPs, who argued that honoring Kirk transcended politics. While conservatives attempted to uphold the minute of silence, boos and shouting were heard throughout the hall.

The verbal clashes lasted for several minutes, forcing the Parliament’s president to intervene to restore order. Tensions lingered throughout the day.

For right-wing groups, the incident showed the Left’s unwillingness to set aside politics, even out of respect for someone who has just been murdered.

The incident also highlights the widening ideological divides in the European Parliament, with even symbolic gestures now at the center of partisan clashes.

Trans-Identified Male Convicted of Domestic Violence Transferred to Minnesota Women’s Prison, Assaults Female Inmate

Reduxx has learned that a man with multiple convictions for domestic assault has been quietly transferred into a women’s prison in Minnesota, where he has been accused of attacking a female inmate. Nathan Trevon Jones, 24, who calls himself “Natalia,” is a repeat offender who was most recently convicted of assault in the fifth degree, and was placed in Minnesota’s only female prison, MCF Shakopee, earlier this year.

Jones has been repeatedly found guilty of domestic violence and his criminal record lists six criminal cases for offenses committed within four years. He has been convicted of two misdemeanor and three felony instances of assault and intention to cause “substantial bodily harm.”

In order to protect the identity of the victim or victims, specific details about the assault are not publicly accessible through the Minnesota Court Records system. However, Jones’ crimes display a consistent pattern of escalating violence and stalking.

According to court records, Minnesota Metro police responded to a report of an assault being committed by Jones on June 20, 2023. Officers arrived at 8th Street and Nicollet Avenue in Minneapolis and spoke with a female victim who told officers that while taking the bus, she had been beaten by two individuals, one of whom was Jones, following an altercation between them.

Surveillance footage obtained by law enforcement depicts Jones spitting on the woman after a verbal exchange. Jones and his accomplice went on to punch the woman, knocking her to the ground before stomping on her and kicking her in the face, leaving injuries that required stitches.

Officers recognized Jones from the surveillance recording due to his prior arrests. At this point, Jones had three prior convictions for assaults committed in September and November 2022. However, despite repeatedly failing to appear for hearings and violating the conditions of his probation, Jones continued to evade a prison sentence.

Instead, he was released on probation, ordered to avoid contacting the victim, and required to undergo a substance abuse treatment program. Jones again committed criminal domestic abuse on September 25 last year while riding on public transit. Court records describe how Jones began stalking and threatening the victim with a lighter shaped like a gun. Jones would later tell officers he had done so because the victim called him a “derogatory slur.”

Reduxx has been in contact with a female inmate at MCF Shakopee who says she is afraid for her life after being threatened by Jones since his arrival at the women’s prison. TaNeishia Bernhardt says Jones threatened her after he assaulted her girlfriend. The altercation allegedly began after Bernhardt’s girlfriend tried to confirm whether he had stolen some of her personal belongings.

“Jones, he has threatened to beat my ass for speaking up for my girlfriend, who he has also assaulted,” Bernhardt told Reduxx, while stating that Jones had repeatedly punched the other woman on her arms. “It makes me fear for my life and other women’s lives in this prison. Now we have to worry about being abused in a so-called ‘safe place.’”

Bernhardt added that a formal report had been filed with prison officials documenting the assault, which occurred in August, but that she was not aware of punitive measures have been undertaken against Jones.

There are currently multiple violent men housed at MCF Shakopee, including several convicted child sexual abusers.

One trans-identified male serving a life sentence for murder who was quietly transferred in to the women’s prison is now sharing a shower with female inmates, causing them to feel “violated.” Bradley Richard Sirvio, 54, was transferred into Shakopee at the end of 2023 after claiming to identify as transgender and adopting the name “Aurora.”

Another male inmate transferred in to Shakopee last year has, according to sources, become visibly erect after he stood up during a classroom session and began ranting about the harmful impacts of rape. Elijah Thomas Berryman is currently serving his 25-year sentence at the women’s prison, having pleaded guilty to four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct committed against a child over a period of a year.

According to reports from inmates, Berryman has used his internet privileges to obtain photos of female inmates’ children in order to threaten them into silence.

Yet another sex offender detained at Shakopee exposed his erect penis to female inmates. Daniel Patrick Benz, who legally changed his name to Danielle Marie Whitebird, was convicted of sexually abusing a girl under the age of 13 years old. Benz had sexually abused a 6 year-old girl on multiple occasions, and while incarcerated in a men’s facility, began claiming to experience “gender dysphoria”.

Shakopee’s prison policy was altered following a June 2022 lawsuit against the Minnesota Department of Corrections, which ultimately resulted in the implementation of measures permitting male convicts to be housed in the female estate.

The discrimination claim was filed by the trans activist non-profit organization Gender Justice on behalf of Craig ‘Christina’ Lusk, who was serving a five-year sentence for the possession of methamphetamine at the Moose Lake correctional facility for men. In order to aid their legal fight to have violent men placed into the women’s prison, Gender Justice was granted nearly $500,000 in taxpayer funds from the administration of Governor Tim Walz.

Upon his release, Lusk was awarded a $495,000 payout. The legal claim, which was successful in court, demanded that Lusk be transferred to MCF-Shakopee and refers to him as “a woman who was assigned male at birth,” using feminine pronouns throughout.

But Lusk’s ex-wife came forward to tell The Daily Mail that she believed he was a “scammer” and a “big fat liar. The two were married in 2005, but Lusk’s wife filed for divorce in 2008 due to his heavy drinking and violent behavior.

“He would tell his family that if he was a woman, and had boobs, then they had to put him in a female prison,” said Lusk’s ex-wife, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.

The legal team responsible for arguing Lusk’s case and ensuring that other violent male inmates would be allowed to transfer into Shakopee was honored with the title “Attorneys of the Year” by the Minnesota Lawyer.

Charlie Kirk Assassinated – Where the Left’s rhetoric inevitably leads

Turning Point USA founder and conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was the target of an assassin on Wednesday afternoon as he fielded questions from a large audience during an event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

Amid a student Q&A session, a shot rang out, reportedly from a building about 200 yards from the stage, and witnesses attest that Charlie was shot in the neck. Video captures show him flinching from a neck wound. Kirk’s security team whisked him away. The event erupted into chaos as attendees fled, but in short order social media circulated claims that a suspect was in custody. Those claims unsurprisingly turned out to be false.

Initial reports were that Kirk’s condition was serious but not life-threatening, but shortly after the shooting Kirk’s broadcast platform, Real America’s Voice, posted, “Charlie Kirk Has Passed.” And then the eulogies began pouring in.

President Trump himself posted on X, “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie.”

JD Vance weighed in online as well: “Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord.”

Ron DeSantis mourned, “Rest in Peace, Charlie Kirk. Casey and I are praying for his family. Charlie was a warrior for liberty, and his murder is a tragedy for our nation.”

A poster called FischerKing wrote, “They killed a 31 year old father of two whose only crime was to go to university campuses and engage in good faith with people who disagreed with him. If this isn’t a wake up call then we’re never going to wake up.”

Brace yourself for the usual deflections from the Left-wing media as they try to justify the killing with such excuses as “Kirk was a polarizing figure,” as well as the predictable, outright gleeful gloating on Left-wing social media outlets like Bluesky. Such hateful rhetoric, including the Left’s vicious and routine demonization of their political opponents as Nazis and fascists, is precisely what leads to everyone from Catholic schoolchildren to the President of the United States – and now Charlie Kirk – being targeted for murder.

As Charlie himself posted back in April,

Assassination culture is spreading on the left. Forty-eight percent of liberals say it would be at least somewhat justified to murder Elon Musk. Fifty-five percent said the same about Donald Trump.

In California, activists are naming ballot measures after Luigi Mangione.

The left is being whipped into a violent frenzy. Any setback, whether losing an election or losing a court case, justifies a maximally violent response.

This is the natural outgrowth of left-wing protest culture tolerating violence and mayhem for years on end. The cowardice of local prosecutors and school officials have turned the left into a ticking time bomb.

Join us in praying for the eternal soul of Charlie Kirk, for his wife and two small children, and for America, which is in the grip of surging political violence from the hate-America Left.

UPDATE: Kirk’s broadcast platform, Real America’s Voice: “Charlie Kirk Has Passed”- Charlie Kirk Shot at Event in Utah (Video)

A suspect has been taken into custody after shots were fired at the “American Comeback Tour” event featuring conservative activist Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University.

Videos from the scene capture a single gunshot that struck Kirk in the neck as he addressed students under a pop-up tent during a Q&A session.

GRAPHIC VIDEO:

Authorities arrested a suspect, who is now in custody, as investigations continue, according to an alert the university sent to students.

According to Utah Valley University, Charlie Kirk was shot from a building roughly 200 yards away from where he was speaking.

A viral video showing the suspect’s arrest is circulating on X.

Utah Senator Mike Lee posted on X: “I am tracking the situation at Utah Valley University closely. Please join me in praying for Charlie Kirk and the students gathered there.”

Vice President J.D. Vance wrote on X, “Say a prayer for Charlie Kirk, a genuinely good guy and a young father.”

President Trump also shared a message for Charlie Kirk, praising his courage and strength.

“We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!”

UPDATE: A conflicting report from Deseret News stated that the suspect is not yet in custody.

Utah Valley University spokesperson Scott Trotter confirmed in a statement:

“On September 10, 2025, at 12:20 p.m., a single shot rang out in the quad near the food court on the Utah Valley University Orem Campus as Mr. Charlie Kirk began speaking at his planned rally. We can confirm that Mr. Kirk was shot, but we do not know his condition. The suspect is not in custody. Police are still investigating. The campus is closed for the rest of the day.”

Germany: 15-year-old Syrian allegedly raped 12-year-old girl at public pool, but authorities kept quiet about the case for 3 weeks

AI generator

In Germany, authorities are facing pressure over a case that was not made public until three weeks after the initial incident. It involves a 15-year-old Syrian who is under investigation for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl in the changing room of a public swimming pool in the city of Braunschweig.

The incident happened at the Wasserwelt (Water World) swimming pool and came to light thanks to the reporting of the Braunschweiger Zeitung, which received a tip from a reader. Police argue that due to the age of those involved, they were reluctant to go public with the details of the case.

When the paper reached out to police, they referred reporters to the public prosecutor’s office, which handled press inquiries. Now, a spokesperson for the office, Christian Wolters, has confirmed there is an ongoing investigation into the alleged rape.

The incident occurred on Aug. 10, at 5:00 p.m., with the victim severely sexually assaulted. Although the 15-year-old Syrian suspect is a minor, reporting indicates that he can already be held criminally responsible for the crime.

“The further background, in particular the exact course of events, is the subject of the ongoing investigation. In particular, trace [DNA] comparisons are still pending.Even though the crime was three weeks ago, the investigation is still in the relatively early stages,“ explained the spokesman for the public prosecutor’s office.

The main charge is rape, with the specific charge relating to a “particularly degrading, sexual intercourse or sexual intercourse-like act“ on the victim, which assumes the child’s body was penetrated by the suspect.

Reporting indicates the crime is believed to have begun in the pool.

“The girl is said to have already been sexually harassed by the suspect in the water,” said Wolters.

However, the rape allegedly occurred in the changing room of the pool, when the 15-year-old managed to get alone with his victim.

The prosecutor’s office is attempting to clarify whether the sexual contact between the two was consensual or not.

After the incident, the police reportedly only took the contact details of the alleged perpetrator’s details and then released him.

Wolters says no action has been taken against the teen so far, including detention. He said that prosecutors are still trying to clarify what actually happened; however, he acknowledged that the young person and the victim have not been questioned, despite the incident happening three weeks ago. He said these interviews must happen first.

Now, Tobias Groß, the managing director of Stadtbad Braunschweig Sport und Freizeit GmbH, which runs Wasserwelt, is speaking out.

He said on the day of the incident, employees immediately alerted police, who arrived “very quickly.”

However, the swimming operator still does not know the identity of the alleged perpetrator.

“Of course we will issue an indefinite ban on entering the premises as soon as we have the relevant data,” said Groß

He said that he is not aware of any comparable sexual assault allegations at the establishment during his time there.

Braunschweig has seen a sharp increase in sexual abuse cases involving young people in recent years; however, police do not go public with every case.

“We did not go public with the incident because of the age of everyone involved in the criminal proceedings. This was done in consultation with the clerk,” says police spokesman Lars Dehnert.

SPÖ Wants “Integration Phase” for Austrians to Access Their Benefits

Austria’s Chancellery in Vienna.  Wikimedia Commons , Manfred Werner – Tsui,CC-BY-SA-3.0

The Austrian government is back to work after the summer break under heavy strain following the collapse of its long-awaited social assistance reform. The program, scheduled to launch this week, was abruptly pulled from the agenda, sparking a heated dispute within the coalition.

Chancellor Christian Stocker (ÖVP) had highlighted the reform on Austrian public television in the summer, and said it would be presented to the Cabinet on September 10th. Yet, in a surprise move, Social Affairs Minister Korinna Schumann (SPÖ) removed the item at the last moment, reportedly leading to sharp exchanges during the coordination meeting.

The reason for the move might be that Schumann introduced a controversial new idea to the scheme: an “integration phase” that would apply not only to immigrants but also to Austrian citizens before they could receive full social benefits. As Stocker had pressed for a three-year waiting period before access to benefits, the extension of such obligations to Austrians has triggered widespread disbelief.

The timing of the puzzling proposal has only intensified criticism. A recent annual report from Austria’s Documentation Centre for Political Islam (DPI) shows a sharp rise in Islamist activity, both online and in public spaces. In 2024 alone, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution recorded 215 Islamist offences, an increase of 41.5% compared to the previous year. Extremists are becoming increasingly visible in everyday Austrian life, often blending with youth culture to attract younger generations.

DPI director Lisa Fellhofer has warned that Islamist groups exploit global conflicts to spread antisemitism, justify violence, and demonize Western democracies. Online influencers glamorize extremism, while businesses with Salafist backgrounds openly sell literature and clothing with radical slogans. Against this backdrop, critics argue that requiring Austrians themselves to undergo an “integration phase” looks not only impractical but also hypocritical.

Concerns about abuse of Austria’s welfare system further fuel this debate. A recent report on Syrian refugees, based on findings by the Austrian Labour Market Service (AMS) revealed that some migrants may be deliberately failing German exams to avoid getting hired so they could stay longer on welfare support.

While the AMS sought to downplay the problem, opposition parties seized on the revelations. FPÖ General Secretary Michael Schnedlitz blasted the findings as “clear proof of organised asylum fraud.”

Meanwhile, online backlash to Schumann’s proposal reflects widespread frustration. One user on X expressed, “Integration for Austrians? What, I have to gender correctly now or what?”

As the reform stalls and discontent grows, the government faces mounting pressure to explain how its policies will confront Austria’s pressing security, integration, and welfare challenges, rather than sidestep them.

Hysterical reactions over Russia’s drone incursion are a disservice to NATO

Wikimedia Commons , Nickel nitride, CC-Zero

Europe’s war-party has been hard at work online trying to stir up some kind of “Article 5 response” (i.e. War) over Russia’s reckless drone incursion into Poland in the small hours of Wednesday. Those easily impressed and panicked by the night’s events seem oblivious of this kind of old-school Russian type of provocation. And they are clearly not familiar with the much worse shooting (and killing) incidents between the Soviet Union and NATO during the Cold War. As usual, since 2022 any such flare-ups are quickly seized upon by the radical pro-Ukraine lobby to try to bounce NATO into some kind of escalation against Russia. Instead, NATO needs to hold its nerve and avoid being dragged into Ukraine’s war.

The full facts of this operation are not yet entirely clear in all their details, but we know enough. Russia has been preparing to stage its annual large-scale Zapad military exercise in Belarus, next door to Poland. And on the night of 9th to 10th September, Russian forces unleashed another round of their usual drone and missile attacks on Ukraine. Of these, anywhere between seven and 20 Geran drones (Zelensky mentioned eight) appear to have been diverted through Poland.

Up to four of the Gerans appear to have been shot down by NATO quick reaction alert fighters – in what looks like a rather impressive multinational operation involving Polish, American, Dutch, Italian and Romanian planes – and most seem to have crashed of their own. One was allegedly found in a field some 300km inside Poland. A few Polish airports were closed as a precaution, and high alert levels and other standard readiness procedures were activated in the eastern regions of Poland as well as in Slovakia and Hungary.

President Zelensky rushed to call this a Russian “strike”, and a US congressman keen for publicity denounced it as an “act of war”. But after the skies cleared, NATO let it be known that it was not treating the incursion as anything of the sort.

Indeed, nothing about this episode suggests anything other than just one more outrageous Russian violation of NATO airspace: on a larger scale than previous similar incidents, but certainly not an attack. It’s not clear if any of the drones were armed – if they even carried warheads – as there have not yet been any reports of detonations on impact. One drone, for example, crashed into a Polish house near the border, but just damaged the roof and a nearby car.

The Russians certainly calibrated this operation quite carefully so that it would be alarming enough to cause panic in the European psyche and demonstrate Russian readiness to escalate, but limited and “harmless” enough so as to not amount to a real threat or to meet the definition of an actual “attack”.

The danger in this kind of situation from a Western perspective is not immediate military escalation to World War Three, but its exploitation for political purposes and the strengthening of the pro-war factions across Europe and indeed in the United States. The Ukrainians have already used this to ask for “partner [i.e. NATO] air defense capabilities in neighbouring countries to be used to intercept drones and missiles in the Ukrainian air space”. Others are trying to revive the old (and mad) idea of a full, NATO-enforced no-fly-zone over Western Ukraine.

There is no question that last night’s incident would not justify any of this, as it would be an entirely disproportionate response by any standards or historical experience. Firstly, since the 2022 invasion have been numerous incidents of Russian drones crossing into Allied airspace – usually in Poland, Romania – and even crashing on their territory. Admittedly, the 9/10 September incident appears to be of a more intentional and serious nature, and the first to occasion NATO shooting down Russian assets. But technically, it is only marginally so.

Secondly, the Cold War saw many deadly military incidents between the Allies and the Soviets, both in the air and at sea. In 1951 a US plane was shot down with the loss of ten crew; in 1953 a British plane was downed and seven crew died; there were other instances of US military planes shot down by Soviet fighters in 1964 over Germany and 1970 over Armenia. If none of these much more serious episodes led to escalatory reactions from NATO, why should last night’s drone affair do so? Conversely, did NATO’s refusal to escalate during the Cold War mean it was “weak” – or, rather, confident and strong?

With this new provocation Russia is not testing NATO’s military reaction – which they’ve been doing constantly through all manner of airspace violations even before the 2022 invasion – as much as they are trying to exploit the political tensions within the Western camp between the warmongers and the pro-peace faction, with the ultimate aim of impacting the ongoing negotiations with president Trump. The Russian strategic calculus, in general, tends to be driven by political analysis rather than strictly military – as explained in these pages with respect to a previous drone incident with Romania.

In the present case, Moscow is likely betting on an over-reaction from NATO’s European allies, and on the prospect that this whole affair will be blown out of proportion in the media – particularly in the US – causing new fears of “WWIII” especially among Trump’s MAGA base and perhaps in the president’s own mind. The Russians know that the last thing that Trump wants – quite rightly – is for the Ukraine war to expand and for the US to be dragged into it.

All of this would, perhaps counter-intuitively, create more political pressure on the American side to make more compromises in the negotiations in order to just get out of this European mess. Finally, Moscow also certainly felt it was politically imperative to give a “strong response” of their own to Trump’s recent comments about potentially increasing the number of American troops stationed in Poland.

As often happens in international affairs and especially in matters of war and peace, it is not a particular event itself which does the damage and triggers further problems – or catastrophes – but the political reaction to it. The drone incursion into Poland falls squarely in this category, and the best response from the Allied side is to keep calm and carry on – while strengthening the defence of NATO territory.

Illegal Migrants Sue UK Gov’t for Millions over ‘Unlawful Detention’ in Converted Military Base Camp

The British government may be forced to pay out millions to illegal migrants who are suing the state for their supposedly unlawful detention at an asylum centre.

Nearly 200 migrants who illegally crossed the English Channel in small boats from the beaches of France have filed a joint lawsuit against the Home Office, claiming that they were subjected to “inhumane” conditions at the Manston asylum centre near Dover.

The illegals have claimed that the former military base accommodation was overcrowded and unclean with outbreaks of disease as well as instances of sexual assaults and physical abuse, The Daily Telegraph reported.

Each migrant could receive £500 for every day they were determined to have been unlawfully detained at the centre, although this figure could increase depending on the judges’ decision in the case.

While only around 200 have so far been added to the claim, around 18,000 migrants were at some point housed at Manston, potentially meaning the bill to the taxpayer could rise further.

Similar cases brought forward before Britain’s left-wing judiciary have been successful. For example, last October, a migrant won £203,995 in damages from the state after being unlawfully detained and allegedly being subjected to inhumane treatment at the Brook House deportation centre.

The latest case will reportedly be based mainly on appeals to the European Convention on Human Rights, which Britain remains bound by despite leaving the EU with Brexit, as the ECHR is technically a separate institution from the bloc, even though it is so closely aligned that it shares the same flag, anthem, and even the same campus as the EU Parliament in Strasbourg.

Despite the ECHR frequently being used to block deportations from Britain, including rapists, murderers, and terrorists, successive post-Brexit governments in Westminster have refused to withdraw from the Convention.

Recently installed Home Secretary, Shabana Mahmood, has reportedly mooted plans to provide judicial advice to reduce the ability of migrant lawyers using the ECHR and other human rights codes to stymie deportations. However, the Labour government of Sir Keir Starmer has still maintained its intentions to remain within the bounds of the European Convention.

Conversely, Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has vowed to withdraw Britain from the ECHR and to repeal the associated Tony Blair-era human rights laws to facilitate the prompt removal of hundreds of thousands of illegals from the country.

The lawsuit comes amid record-breaking waves of illegal migrants crossing the English Channel, with over a thousand being brought ashore at Dover on Saturday, which also happened to the first day in office for Shabana Mahmood as Home Secretary. The latest crossings have taken the total for the year over 30,000, marking the fastest pace of illegal arrivals since the crisis began.
