“Despite some reports saying that an Algerian immigrant was responsible for the stabbings of men, women, and children today, police did not confirm the identity of the man arrested.”
“Breaking News: Suspect In Dublin Stabbing Algerian National, Gardai Believe” — Gript.ie
The snobbery and pseudo-elitism that goes hand-in-hand with the elevated status of a Martha’s Vineyard leftist makes it easy to pity their position instead of envy it, with one exception: their ability to swiftly and decisively eject illegal invaders.
On Monday, agents from Boston’s Enforcement and Removal Office (ERO) apprehended and arrested a Brazilian national living in the elite enclave, because he was a “predator” whose presence was “threaten[ing] to residents.” You don’t say.
The Brazilian national received multiple criminal convictions for raping a child and was sentenced to 14 years in prison. After his convictions and before sentencing, the Brazilian citizen fled the country.
…
The undocumented noncitizen unlawfully entered the United States on an unknown date at an unknown location without being inspected or admitted by an immigration official.
Per the same source, ERO acts as the “principal federal law enforcement authority” in charge of rounding up individuals who “undermine the safety” of American communities and the “integrity of U.S. immigration laws.”
A hardened criminal exploiting an open border and the U.S. welfare system? Impossible! Karine Jean-Pierre has repeatedly assured us that the border is totally secure, and any “undocumented” persons who do happen to slip through are not a detriment—any insistence otherwise is xenophobic.
But wait, why does the Martha’s Vineyard aristocracy get zero-tolerance agents who protect their communities? Oh, that’s right, because they’re rich leftists, and they’re allowed to have nice things while we little people buckle under the weight of the illegal invasion they manufactured and invited, all so they could fancy themselves as virtuous and morally-superior progressives.
Gript Media can confirm that the person of interest in today’s stabbing incident in central Dublin, which left four people plus the assailant – including three children – injured, is understood to be an Algerian national.
Official sources confirmed to Gript late this afternoon that the person of interest – who remains in a Dublin hospital and is understood not yet to be well enough to face garda interrogation – is believed to have originated from the North African country. However, sources also stressed that this is a working assumption, which may yet change based on an analysis of documentation.
At a press conference this evening, An Garda Sīochana released a statement in relation to the incident which took place in the vicinity of Parnell Street, Dublin earlier today. At that press conference, Gardai declined to comment on the nationality of the person of interest, or any other information relating to him.
Gardai did stress that while the investigation is at an early stage, a terrorist motive is not currently suspected.
A spokesperson said, “An Garda Síochána continues to investigate all the circumstances of a serious assault which occurred on Parnell Square East, shortly after 1.30pm this afternoon Thursday, 23rd November 2023.”
“Preliminary indications are that a male attacked a number of people on Parnell Square East.
Five (5) casualties have been taken to hospitals in the Dublin Region.”
“These casualties include three (3) young children, an adult female and an adult male.”
“One girl, age 5 years, has sustained serious injuries and is currently receiving emergency medical treatment in CHI Temple Street.”
“A boy, aged 5 years and a girl aged 6 years, who received less serious injuries were brought to CHI Crumlin for treatment. The boy has since been discharged from CHI Crumlin.”
An Garda Síochána said it is providing support to the parents of all the children.
“The adult female, in her 30s, is being treated for serious injuries at the Mater Hospital.”
“An adult male, in his 50s, is also being treated for serious injuries at a Hospital in the Dublin Region.”
Gardaí say the scene of the incident remains sealed off at this time and a technical examination of the scene is ongoing.
An incident room has been established at Mountjoy Garda Station and a Senior Investigating Officer has been appointed.
“An Garda Síochána is following a definite line of Inquiry. This male, in his 50s, is a person of interest to An Garda Síochána in this investigation. An Garda Síochána is not looking for any other person at this time.”
An Garda Síochána continues to have an open mind at this early stage of the investigation.
Gardaí are appealing to any person with any information on th attack to contact investigating Gardaí. Investigating Gardaí are also appealing to any person who may have mobile phone footage of the attack or the immediate aftermath to make this footage available to An Garda Síochána.
Investigating Gardaí can be contacted at Mountjoy Garda Station 01 6668600 the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
An Garda Síochána said they “are not in a position to provide any further information at this early stage of the investigation.”
Conor McGregor has launched an astonishing attack on allowing immigrants to vote on his ‘X’ account declaring: “Ireland, we are at war”.
In a series of messages posted on his feed he adds: “Do not let any Irish property be took over (sic) unannounced. Evaporate (sic) said property. It’s a war.”
It follows earlier messages where he retweeted a comment by conservative news website Gript, which criticised Taoiseach Leo Varadkar for stating “everyone resident in Ireland can vote in Local Elections, regardless of nationality or visa status”.
Retweeting the Gript comment that offers “three reasons why allowing migrants to vote is ludicrous”, McGregor storms: “Imagine a mega power nation allowing this absolute foolishness!!
“Imagine the United States! This is the most preposterous, ridiculous, scheming attempt at gaining votes this government has attempted yet.
“A real showing of the lack of care they have for the common Irish citizen. As it stands they do not have my vote. Shame on them!”
He then adds: “US allows non residents to vote? Visitors can vote? I can fly in now and register a vote in the United States elections? Surely not. However, Ireland’s current government is proposing this.
“A disgrace! A shame! Hang their heads in shame!”
He then adds the hashtags #ForAshling #ForIreland.
His comments have attracted thousands of replies with many appearing to support McGregor with one writing: “Conor, Completely agree with you brother. Your country is at war meaning YOU are at war. The same can be said all around Europe unfortunately.”
However, others appear to be confused by McGregor’s declaration with one asking: “Over what bud?”
Another asks with “With who? What did I miss?” while another urges: “Let’s keep it Civil”.
Others ask: “What ??? What war in Ireland?” and “War? But with whom?
In December last year, it was reported how McGregor had backed the East Wall protesters who had been staging large demonstrations over the housing of around 400 asylum seekers in an old ESB building in the area.
Local TD Gary Gannon had claimed the protests were “hijacked” by a number of far-right groups but asked about the protests in a Twitter Q&A, the UFC star said: “I stand with the people of East Wall. And no I do not want to be a politician. Just that they have to answer to me.”
McGregor also said he found outgoing Taoiseach Micheál Martin “likeable”, but he criticised Leo Varadkar.
“My input is I have no issue with Michael [sic] Martin. I feel he is as likeable as it comes in the space. Varadkar, different. He should not be stepping in to lead our country.”
It is not the first time the UFC star has waded into the debate surrounding immigration into Ireland,
He recently launched a tirade against the Government in the wake of the conviction of Josef Puska for the murder of Ashling Murphy in which he threatens “a war”.
Taking to his X account, McGregor linked his comments to an Irish Independent story relating to Ashling’s boyfriend Ryan Casey’s victim impact statement.
He then launches into a furious attack on the Government and Puska, who he describes as a “f**king despicable, scruffy, waste of oxygen c**t”.
“Horrific this whole situation has been,” McGregor stormed. “Shame on the Irish government for harbouring this.”
He adds in capital letters: “THIS IS YOUR FAULT AND WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH!!”
He then adds: “Despicable system! The Irish government makes me ashamed to be Irish. We are appalled with you all! You can’t fix this, no problem it is a war then and God is with us!!”
He then adds a bomb and gun emoji alongside an Irish flag and #ForAshling #ForIreland hashtags.
The Notorious then added in a follow up tweet: “Torture and Death to Josef Puska and all on the side of this vermin.”
Some leftists honestly acknowledge that a fetus is a human being but argue that the mother’s needs trump that baby’s life. Most, though, insist that the “miracle of birth” is just that—a miraculous moment when an inanimate, insensate lump of cells that has value only if the mother wants it magically converts into a human being, complete with rights. Science, however, again reveals that the real magic happens in the womb. This time, the magic is that babies are already learning language before they’re born.
I’ve always known about the connection between a verbal mother and a child who learns to speak well and quickly. Indeed, Gerry Charlotte Phelps, one of my early blog friends and a fascinating woman, made that point vividly when she wrote about working with women in terrible urban slums. On her now-defunct website, she said that these women never talked to their children except to threaten them with punishment. In this, they starkly contrasted with middle- and upper-middle-class mommies who never stopped talking to their children. The chatty mommies do so because they know it’s good for their child’s intellectual development.
Of course, all of that occurs after the baby is born. But what about before it’s born? Well, experiments are showing that, even in the womb, babies are developing language skills:
If you’re an expectant mother, chatting as much as possible could give your baby a headstart when it comes to learning to talk.
That’s because new research has found your unborn son or daughter will start learning the language you speak before they’re even born.
In experiments, researchers discovered heightened activity in the brains of newborns when they heard the language they were exposed to most often in utero.
Therefore, expectant mothers – and fathers too – should not be afraid to chat away, and even talk directly to their baby bump.
Babies in utero are not mere disposable clumps of cells unless you acknowledge that all humans are nothing more than clumps of cells. They are fully realized people, albeit at an early stage of development, and they have human brains that do human things, such as hearing words and learning language. Regardless of where you want to come down on the abortion issue, you would do well to remember that, when leftists tell you there is no life before birth, they are lying.
On Thursday morning, the Dutch—and indeed, the European—Left woke up to a healthy dose of reality check from democracy. The Dutch people forcefully gave their support to a party and a man who had been demonized for nearly two decades as an extreme-right, populist Islamophobe who had no place in the country’s political scene.
It seems, however, that the divide between the people’s will and the arrogance of the establishment was never greater, as evidenced by last night’s landslide results. Geert Wilders and his Party for Freedom (PVV) now have an almost unprecedented democratic legitimacy to chart a different course for the Netherlands.
The question of whether Wilders can garner enough parliamentary support to undertake this enormous task still lingers, however, and the real battle has only just begun.
Flat Country, a Mountain of Support
With 99% of the vote counted, the final results are in: nearly a quarter of the Dutch cast their votes for Wilders. PVV received 23.5% of the votes, which translates to an impressive 37-seat presence in the 150-seat Second Chamber, more than any party had after the last elections.
“The PVV can no longer be ignored,” Wilders celebrated. “We will govern.”
Before last night, most media would have you believe there could be only two winners of this race: outgoing PM Mark Rutte’s nominally center-right, but more liberal VVD which has been ruling the Netherlands for 14 years, or the EU’s ex-climate chief, Frans Timmermans-led Green/Left-Labor alliance (GL-PvdA), that was promising to bring in even more progressive and socialist policies in The Hague, and of course double down on the (already catastrophic) anti-climate-change measures that are ruining the country’s food production and is casting it into a pit of energy dependency.
Well, the Dutch apparently had enough of all that. Wednesday’s results are not only an endorsement of a “Netherlands first”-type of leadership, but also—more importantly—a protest vote against the government’s rampant elitism of the last decade, including a stop to unrestrained immigration and all the disastrous climate policies. A call for a U-turn in Dutch politics, if you will.
Nothing is bigger evidence of this than the giant gap between PVV and the rest of the big parties in terms of the results. Timmermans’ progressive greens did come in second, but only with 15.5%, or 25 seats. They are followed by VVD in third place with 15.1% and 24 seats, as well as the newly created anti-establishment, but politically very similar, centrist party New Social Contract (NSC) with 12.8% or 20 seats.
It’s important to note that strategic voting played a profound role in this election. A good portion of both left and right-wing voters abandoned their smaller parties to support the strongest ones in order to prevent either PVV or the GL-PvdA from forming the next coalition. But because there is a lot more competition on the Right, strategic voting benefited Wilders to a much greater extent than it did Timmermans.
In fact, only 39% of those voting for the PVV did so two years ago. All the other anti-establishment conservative parties lost seats, mainly to the benefit of Wilders. Thierry Baudet’s FvD has fallen from 8 to 3 seats, the FvD-offshoot JA21 went from 3 to 1, and the libertarian BVNL completely dropped out of the parliament. Of course, the biggest group to desert their old party in favor of PVV were dissatisfied and disillusioned VVD voters, making up 15% of Wilders’ total support.
Cold Shower for the European Left
The general atmosphere in The Hague, and throughout Europe, is quite reminiscent of the 2016 U.S. elections. Not just in terms of the collective disbelief that dominates the mood of leftists across the country, but also in the specific way in which a goofy-haired blonde populist has likely prevented the country from having its first female prime minister.
In the eyes of the media and the entire establishment, the two likely contenders for the prime minister’s seat were the greens’ Frans Timmermans and VVD’s new chairwoman and minister of justice, the Turkish-born Dilan Yesilgöz.
Similarly to how Democrats were entirely convinced of Hillary Clinton’s victory—with Newsweek prematurely distributing 125,000 copies of its special issue, titled Madam President—BBCreported that Yesilgöz’s staff was already raising glasses to the Netherlands’ first female PM, only to find out the people have something very different in their mind.
Unsurprisingly, leftist media outlets are scrambling to make sense of these results, for better or worse. Politico was quick to set the narrative: VVD lost because Yesilgöz tried to steer her party toward limiting migration, which somehow sent her voters to the “real anti-immigrant” Wilders instead. If she just stayed out of the whole migration debate, the paper heavily implies, Yesilgöz could have been victorious.
If anything, these results show the opposite. Migration—along with the connected housing crisis, as well as the much-criticized climate measures—have become endemic in the eyes of the people who blame the last 14 years of the VVD government for everything that went wrong. They didn’t want the VVD to just slightly recalibrate its previous path. They wanted a complete U-turn—promised only by Wilders.
Yesilgöz appears to come to the same conclusion. “I think there are big lessons for politicians in this. People were not listened to enough,” she told her disappointed supporters and staff last night.
For his part, Timmermans went on the offense instead, and—as the experienced Brusselite he is—immediately tried to frame Wilders’ democratic victory as the opposite of what it is. “Now is the time when we are going to defend democracy,” the ex-commissioner said.
Indeed, European elites seem increasingly concerned while looking at these results. A Wilders-led Dutch government would definitely stir up the current status quo in Brussels. PVV is against sending more aid to Ukraine, is fiercely anti-EU-federalist and would hinder any efforts toward deeper integration, while also making a staunch ally to the anti-immigration countries in Central Europe when it comes to negotiating the fine print of the upcoming Migration Pact.
What’s more, the Netherlands is often considered a bellwether for electoral trends throughout Europe. If the Dutch voters are mostly concerned about migration, the cost of living crisis, and the economic consequences of the green transition, then these themes will likely drive next year’s EU elections as well, which could turn out a disaster for Brussels’ left-wing establishment.
Especially if you take into account the potential effect of the Israel-Hamas war—and the ensuing mayhem on Europe’s streets—on voter preferences. After all, the Dutch election was the first major feedback in Europe since October 7th, and PVV’s polling data from the previous weeks does seem to show a nation suddenly waking up to the reality of unrestrained immigration by the pro-Palestinian rallies.
Enfant Terrible of Dutch Politics
Long considered to be the Dutch Left’s, if not the entire entrenched political elite’s boogeyman, Geert Wilders, 60, has been the Party for Freedom’s (PVV) leader since 2006. Ever since that year, he has been an MP in the House of Representatives.
Unlike other parties, the PVV has no membership option, not even for its own people’s representatives: Wilders himself is the party’s only member. Over the years, Wilders has been represented in the Upper House, the European Parliament, Provincial States, and a number of municipalities.
For his consistency and vociferousness in drawing attention to the threat posed by Islamist ideology (often imported through mass immigration from Muslim countries), Wilders has been regularly excluded from participation in government by other party leaders—much like the Vlaams Belang party in Belgium, which, despite its overwhelming popularity with voters, has been shut out of governing since 1989 by way of a so-called cordon sanitaire.
To bring a halt to the Netherlands’ further Islamisation, Wilders seeks to completely stop immigration from those countries.
While he has stated he does not harbor any ill will towards Muslims, Wilders has called Islam a “violent religion” and an “intolerant and fascist ideology.” For that critique, and his suggestions on how to deal with it, ironically, Wilders has frequently been smeared as a fascist himself by his political opponents.
Ever since the PVV’s founding in 2006, which led to multiple threats against his life, Wilders has been assigned a state-financed personal security team, which tracks his movements and follows him wherever he goes.
A trial against Wilders for group defamation, incitement to hatred, and discrimination because of his public statements led to full acquittals in 2010 and 2011 (on appeal). A second long-term criminal trial on the same charges followed after he made a promise to his supporters in March 2014 that he was going to “arrange” for “fewer Moroccans” to enter the country. In the process, also on appeal, he was convicted of group defamation.
Like Thierry Baudet’s pro-national-sovereignty Forum voor Democratie (FvD), he is also a proponent of a “Nexit,” which would take the Netherlands out of the European Union.
Coalition Government: Rocky Road Ahead
While Wilders is now in the driver’s seat, to form his coalition (which for obvious reasons he would prefer to be right-wing) he would need to woo two parties among the “big four” (PVV, GL-PvdA, VVD, and NSC).
Without their support, Wilders could try one comprising at least ten parties, which is perhaps an even more unenviable task.
Wilders’ obvious picks would be the VVD and Omtzigt’s NSC, with which he would have a workable majority of 81 seats (out of 150).
Adding to this the BBB, the newly created Dutch Farmers’ Movement—enticing because of the BBB’s large number of seats in the Senate—Wilders could up that number, arriving at 88 seats.
An Garda Siochana is in contact with parents of all three injured children.”
Five ambulances and four Dublin Fire Brigade vehicles were called to the scene of the major incident.
Pictures online show emergency vehicles parked around Parnell Square, on Parnell Square East.
The large number of emergency service vehicles appear to be outside primary school, Gaelscoil Cholaiste Mhuire.
Irish Justice Minister Helen McEntee said she was “deeply shocked” by the “appalling attack on three innocent children and a woman”.
McEntee said: “All our thoughts are with those injured, especially with the children, their parents and families, during this extremely difficult period.
“I have been briefed by the Garda Commissioner and will remain in close contact with him and senior Gardai.
“It is my understanding that Gardai are following a definite line of inquiry and are not looking for any other person at this time. This attack has shocked us all, and I have no doubt that the person responsible will be brought to justice.
“However, my thoughts now are with the innocent children and the woman who have been attacked, their families, and those who are caring for them at this time.”
Martin Polaschek’s ( Austrian People’s Party) Ministry of Education reacted quickly. And it had to, given the seriousness of the accusation. The terrorist organisation Hamas is referred to as a “resistance movement” in a domestic school textbook. The publisher should correct this quickly.
The textbook calls the terrorist terrorist gang Hamas an “Islamic resistance movement”. As if that were not enough, the authors of the textbook consider Hezbollah to be a “Lebanese organisation”. The book “Geography, History and Political Education” is intended for secondary school students and can currently be used in classrooms. Vienna’s responsible city councillor, Deputy Mayor Christoph Wiederkehr (NEOS), was confronted by Daniella Spera, former director of the Jewish Museum and journalist, on a Puls24 talk show.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Education announced on Thursday that the Linz-based publisher had already been contacted The page will be “corrected” and forwarded to the affected schools by post and electronically. Spera is very pleased about this, he added.
Interesting: Austrian public broadcaster ORF presenter Armin Wolf also joined the debate on X. He criticised the fact that the textbook was written by nine men. “Sounds more like 1922 than 2022,” comments the ZiB news anchor.
Polish authorities say that they have arrested and pressed charges against a 38-year-old Polish woman with Islamic extremist sympathies who planted an explosive device on a street in central Warsaw earlier this month. There were no injuries.
Police said in a statement published on Monday that the woman placed the device in Warsaw on the night of November 10-11 and then took a train back to her home in western Poland.
Nobody was hurt, but the device had the potential to injure many people, police said.
“The makeshift explosive device filled with gas containers and nails could have caused a serious threat to the health and lives of many people,” the statement said. It added that she was charged with “causing danger and bringing danger to the life and health of many people, as well as preparation for causing such danger.”
Police used CCTV footage to track her movements. After planting the device in Warsaw, she headed to the central train station in the capital and then traveled to the western Polish city of Wroclaw, and was arrested at her home in the nearby town of Strzelin.
Police described the suspect as a Polish woman interested in Middle Eastern affairs, but wouldn’t give any more details about her.
They released a video showing police fingerprinting and handcuffing her and also showed some of the objects they said they found in her home. Among them was an image of former Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
“Police officers secured items and gadgets related to Islamic State, as well as items that could have been used to construct another explosive device,” police said.
The mayor of Saint Gilles, Belgium, one Jean Spinette (a serious Socialist), wants to change the name of Saint Nicolas to “Sidi Nicolas”. “Sidi”, in Arabic, means “my Lord”. Elsewhere “Saint Nicholas” or “Santa Claus” is linked to Christmas Day. But in Belgium the bearded “saint” has a day all to himself: December 6, when “the great friend of children” distributes gifts.
And given that the city of Brussels’ region has chosen a representative of the Muslim Brotherhood for its candidacy as “European capital of culture” in 2030, the future masters of Belgium could change the name of dozens of cities starting with Saint-Gilles, continuing with Saint-Josse, Molenbeek-Saint-Jean, Jette-Saint-Pierre and Saint-Job, finishing with the metro stations (Sainte-Catherine, Saint-Guidon).
The mayor mentions intersectionality, but is careful not to also have a gay or trans Sidi Nicolas. Because, as the former Belgian Secretary of State, Bianca Debaets, revealed, “in Brussels there are too many areas where it is difficult for women and homosexuals to walk. We must not hide our faces: unfortunately there are also areas of our country where some people no longer dare venture. This is especially true for single women and gay men.”
These, too, are the fruits of “diversity”.
In line with the school in Germany that wants to erase Anne Frank’s name, Santa Claus may not go to an Austrian kindergarten this year. The reason is “cultural differences and diversity”.
We are in Salzburg, where for the first time Santa Claus’ visits will be cancelled. The Sara Nussbaum kindergarten in Kassel had already canceled these. “In deference to different cultures”. In the city there are kindergartens where 92 out of 98 children come from immigrant families.
Muslims have just become the majority in schools in Linz, Austria’s third largest city. For the first time this year, more Muslims than Catholics were counted in schools. In Graz, the country’s second city, 34 percent of students are Islamic, while in Vienna, Muslims already outnumber Catholics even in middle and high schools. There are already schools with no Austrians left, only foreigners.
Anyone who has read Susanne Wiesinger is not surprised by what is happening in Salzburg schools. Wiesinger is not Jorg Haider, but a teacher in Favoriten, a populous district on the outskirts of Vienna, which has gone from social democratic to immigrant fiefdom. Wiesinger is a militant of the SPö, the Social Democratic Party. Her book has a title that is a manifesto: “Clash of cultures in the school classroom”. She spoke to them about forced marriages and the honor killing of an Afghan schoolgirl because she wanted to marry a Christian, justified by her Islamic students, about mosques and Islamic associations.
And there is Reem. In 2015, she was the “refugee child who conquered the Germans.”. She was a Palestinian Arab and they had chosen her to speak with Angela Merkel in a school. The fruits of “diversity” were to be reaped there too. Reem had explained to the chancellor that her father was out of work because his stay was not extended. Merkel replied: “The procedures must be changed, we cannot wait that long. But not everyone will be able to stay.” And 14-year-old Reem burst into tears. Who didn’t sympathize with the little refugee?
It is now 2023 and Reem is 22 years old. For her “diversity” they gave her German citizenship and now she publishes posts in which she says #freepalestine #fromtherivertothesea. And shows a map without Israel.
Years will pass, then decades and in the end we will all be multicultural.
Anti-Israeli calls and radical Islamic banners at demonstrations worry German society. The director of the children’s organization “Arche”, Wolfgang Büscher, which takes care of about 7,000 young people every day in 33 facilities across Germany, many of them with a migrant background, tells BILD: “We are facing a catastrophe ”.
This emerges clearly from the declaration of the young Arabs quoted by Büscher: “First let’s cut the throats of the Jews, then the gays and finally the Christians!”. Says Büscher: “I have never experienced anything like this. A 12-year-old boy came to me and said, ‘I hate you. We will take back the country’. They reject our culture, our values. Their hatred is unimaginable.”
But if Europe has no problem erasing Anne Frank and Santa Claus, then everything will be reduced to the length of Sidi Nicolas’ beard and Europe will end up celebrating Eid. Along with “little Reem,” Europeans will soon bow towards Mecca.
