A man who disguised himself as a woman by wearing a burka made it past the fourth round of the Kenya Chess Championship in Nairobi before arousing suspicion.

The chess player, 25-year-old Stanley Omondi, who kept his identify a secret by not speaking to anyone at the tournament, registered under the alias Millicent Awuor.

But he was discovered after he won matches against former Kenyan national champion Gloria Jumba and top Ugandan player Ampaira Shakira.

At that point, players and the arbiters began to get suspicious. When Omondi made it past the fourth round, he was taken into a private room and staff demanded to see identification. It was then that he admitted he was a male university student desperate for money.

Once he was found out, Omondi was kicked out of the championship. His points were given to his female opponents.

The Kenya Open Chess Championship features 450 players from 22 chess federations. It has a top prize of $42,000.

“Muslim women cannot report the assaults they face because they are told that they will betray the Muslim cause”: The French organisation Lallab is organising an action to fight intra-Muslim violence

During Ramadan, the feminist and anti-racist Muslim organisation Lallab launched a digital campaign on March 27 to combat violence within the community. A way to anonymously spread the messages of Muslim women who are addressing issues that are still taboo.

“It is often the law of silence. They can’t report the assaults they are subjected to because they are told that they would betray the cause and that you don’t wash your dirty linen in public.”

Lallab has collected around 50 testimonies that talk about incest, women wearing headscarves who feel stigmatised by their own families, or sexism experienced in the mosque. Some have already been published anonymously on their social networks and the violence of the reports shows that there is an urgent need for action. Above all, the organisation tries to create spaces for conversations, as the victims are not always being believed in their environment.

“What does it take for Muslim women to feel safe in mosques and in their families, to be invited to family dinners without fear of experiencing violence because they said something? “, Fatima Bent wonders.

These statements will be used to organise the counter-offensive, because Lallab, is also a place of mobilisation for Muslim women, available all year round. They organise self-defence courses as well as training. Le Mouv’

64% of French against non-European immigration, women more in favor of the idea

When asked “if we should stop non-European immigration to France,” more than six out of 10 French people (64%) answer “yes,” according to a poll for CNEWS by Consumer Science & Analytics (CSA) published on Wednesday, April 12.

According to the same survey, 36% of respondents answered “no,” thus opposing this idea.

The latest poll generally aligns with previous polls on the topic of immigration in France, which show the French are overwhelmingly opposed to mass immigration. However, this poll also shows that women are slightly more in favor of the idea of stopping non-European migration flows than men (61 percent), a finding that generally contrasts with polls from other countries like the United States, Germany, Sweden and Finland. In general, polling finds that women are generally more open to the idea of mass immigration in Western countries.

The poll also contains novel results regarding the age distribution of those rejecting mass immigration. The demographic answering “yes” at the highest rates is the 50-64 age group (68 percent), followed by the 25-34-year-olds (66 percent). Anti-immigration sentiment, therefore, is more evenly distributed among French society’s generations compared to Anglo countries like the U.S. and Britain, where the younger generation is far more accepting of open borders and lax immigration policy than the older generations.

Considering the sociological profile of the respondents, the least favored socio-professional categories are the most firm (71 percent) about stopping non-European immigration on French soil.

Then come the employed or those not working (62 percent) who answer “yes” to stopping this form of immigration, and finally, the upper socio-professional categories, with nearly six out of 10 French people (59 percent) here answering “yes.”

A very pronounced left-right divide

Unsurprisingly, the political divide on the issue is reflected in the results of this CSA poll for CNEWS.

In fact, 94 percent of those polled who said they were on the right were in favor of stopping non-European migration to France. As previous polls have shown in France, a majority of the left is also opposed, with 63 percent in the CSA poll saying “yes.”

However, a majority (70 percent) of the far-left France Insoumise party answered “no” to the question, signaling their support for non-European immigration. On the other hand, respondents close to the National Rally are almost unanimous, with 99 percent saying they would say “yes” to stopping such immigration.

Opinions are more balanced in the center. Those close to the Renaissance (56%), however, were more in favor of stopping it.

Pakistan: Chinese engineer arrested for ‘insulting Islam’ after he asked his Pakistani subordinates to work faster during Ramadan

Chinese engineer working at a hydropower project in Kohistan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan has been arrested over blasphemy charges (Source: Twitter)

On Sunday, April 16, Pakistan police arrested a Chinese engineer working at a hydropower project in Kohistan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in the country on accusations of blasphemy. The Chinese national working in China Gezhouba Group Company was accused of ‘insulting’ Allah.

He had allegedly commented about the slow pace of work during the Islamic holy month of Ramzan during an argument with his Pakistani subordinates at his workplace.

The accused, identified in a formal complaint to the police by two Pakistani dumpster drivers as “Mr Tian, in charge of heavy machinery,” was detained by police late on Sunday from a residential camp for Chinese workers near Dasu, about 350 km north of Islamabad ‘to avert a serious situation.’

Dasu Dam is a hydroelectric gravity dam under construction in Kohistan District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province in Pakistan. China’s Gezhouba Group Company Limited has undertaken main civil works.

According to South China Morning Post, Tian had allegedly commented about the slow pace of work during the Islamic holy month of Ramzan, which infuriated the Pakistani employees of the company. As the news of the argument and alleged blasphemy spread, a charged mob of several hundred people, chanting death threats against Tian, gathered outside the residential camp and began pelting it with stones.

Hundreds of people from nearby villages also gathered to block the Karakoram Highway connecting Pakistan to China to protest against the Chinese citizen.

The police intervened and fired aerial warning shots at the mob to prevent a riot. The mob kept creating a ruckus for almost four hours and only dispersed after the police assured that the Chinese engineer would face legal repercussions.

Meanwhile, after the aforementioned incident, the security of the Chinese nationals working on the World Bank-financed Dasu hydropower project has been tightened.

Attack on Chinese nationals in Pakistan

In addition to the persecution of minorities, Pakistan has recently been under fire for the increase in attacks on Chinese people living there. In September last year, an unidentified gunman opened fire inside a dental clinic in Karachi, Pakistan, killing a Chinese national and injuring two others. The suspect managed to flee the murder scene with the assistance of an accomplice who had parked his motorcycle around the corner on Preedy Street.

Prior to this, three Chinese nationals were killed in a suicide bombing at Karachi University in April by the separatist Baloch Liberation Army, which is hostile to China’s involvement in Balochistan and accuses China and Pakistan of exploiting the resource-rich province.

In 2021, at least 10 people lost their lives and 39 were injured after a bus carrying staff members working on Dasu Dam was blown up. Of the four dead, 4 were Chinese nationals.

In fact, after the string of attacks reported in the recent past, reports emerged on how Pakistan’s security systems are no longer trusted by the Chinese population, particularly the Chinese labourers there. Chinese employees in Pakistan feel frightened and don’t trust Pakistan’s security apparatus to keep them safe in an emergency.

Last year, owing to the repeated attacks on Chinese nationals, a top-level tri-service military group from Pakistan visited China from June 9 to 12 to address various issues with senior military and government officials from Beijing. During the discussion, the attacks on Chinese citizens by Baloch militants were brought up.

Beijing requested Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa to take appropriate actions to avoid attacks on Chinese people working on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) facilities in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

It’s worth mentioning that China has made major infrastructural investments in Pakistan. The projects, one of which being the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), rely heavily on Chinese manpower and funds.

‘Explosion kills 18,000 cows,’ reports say, and no questions asked

YouTube screengrab

By Eric Utter

Recently, news broke regarding an explosion at a dairy farm in the Texas Panhandle, in which approximately 18,000 cows were killed (and one person critically injured). The Castro County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the explosion to Fox News Digital and stated that the cows were in a holding area before being brought in for milking when the blast occurred at the Southfork Dairy Farm in Dimmitt. The Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.

Castro County Sheriff Sal Rivera spoke to local media outlet KSAT-TV about the explosion and subsequent fire, saying that speculation centered around “what they call a honey badger, which is a vacuum that sucks the manure and water out and possibly that it got overheated and probably the methane and things like that ignited and spread out and exploded and the fire.”

Um, sure. Not.

I mean, what the hell?! What kind of explosion could possibly cause the death of 18,000 cattle?! This is a bovine Hiroshima or Nagasaki! I’m not buying the theory that a vacuum exploded, killing 18,000 dairy cows, whose average weight is over 1,500 pounds. Over how vast an area were the cows dispersed, even if in a pen? At 8 feet long and like 5 feet wide, even if they were all standing nearly nose-to-tail and shoulder-to-shoulder they would cover an area of roughly 26 football fields. And this was on essentially open prairie, with not much fuel for a fire.

Did North Korea hit the farm with a nuke? Were the cattle done in by an asteroid or large meteorite? And why the hell is every food processing plant, dairy farm and chicken coop in America blowing up, burning up, or otherwise being destroyed? Is it for the same reason our leaders are abandoning the use of fossil fuels? Do they want us to be immobile and reliant on a bug-heavy diet A.S.A.P.?

And why is the media udderly utterly sanguine and uninterested in any of this? Shouldn’t inquiring minds want to know?

‘Euthanasia’ for Terminally Ill Children to be Legalised in the Netherlands

It will soon be legal to Euthanise, also known as ‘assisted suicide’ or ‘murder’ depending on perspective, children with certain terminal illnesses in the Netherlands.

Authorities in the Netherlands are to make changes to the country’s euthanasia laws in order to allow parents to end the life of their terminally ill children.

It comes amid attempts by other Western states to expand the legality of assisted suicide in their countries, with Canada seemingly pushing taking one’s own life as a solution to the likes of mental health problems such as PTSD.

While the Netherlands has rejected the legalisation of assisted suicide for now, the country’s government has agreed to legislate for the euthanising of certain terminally ill children aged between 1 and 12.

According to a report by NOS, the government has insisted the measure will only be available for children in particularly dire circumstances, suffering from a painful terminal illness that will lead to their imminent death.

“It will concern children with such a serious illness or disorder that death is inevitable and the death of these children is expected in the foreseeable future,” a statement from the cabinet on the change reportedly said.

Meanwhile, Dutch Health Minister Ernst Kuipers that the legislation will ultimately affect a tiny number of children, with the official expecting there to be no more than five or ten children every year in a position to need to avail of euthanasia.

All cases involving the euthanisation of a child over the age of one and below 12 will go to a special committee dedicated to examining such cases, which is set to be led by a criminal lawyer in the country.

Government authorities in the Netherlands broke the news in a relatively careful manner, insisting that — should any aspect of the changes need to go to a vote — individual MPs in the national parliament will not be compelled to follow a party line, but be allowed to vote with their conscience.

The country has so far avoided the legalisation of assisted suicide, with an attempt by one activist to argue that taking one’s life is a human right so far failing to win over the Dutch courts.

Things are very different in other Western nations, however, with Canada in particular zealously rolling out medically assisted suicide within its health system as a solution to various ailments, ranging from mental health problems to even homelessness.

“This country is on the verge of providing publicly funded euthanasia for people suffering from diseases for which there is little publicly funded care,” one publication in the country warned last December, after the government further loosened restrictions on availing of a medically-induced death.

“Lurking over this country is the specter of a public insurance system that does not cover such basic treatments as psychotherapy, that underspends on mental health compared to peer countries, and that is failing to provide adequate community support and housing for people with chronic mental disorders,” the Globe and Mail publication continued.

“It will also shortly become a country that provides medically assisted deaths to people who can’t access the very things that might make their lives more bearable,” it went on to say.

Despite the warning, a further expansion of the service to so-called “mature minors” is being considered, with a parliamentary committee pushing to allow children to request a medically assisted death if a natural one is “reasonably foreseeable”.

In one shocking instance, an army veteran that went to a military clinic for help with post-traumatic stress (PTSD) was offered assisted suicide by a Veterans Affairs employee, despite having shown no suicidal tendencies. The Veterans Affairs office later wrote to the former soldier to apologise after complaints were raised several times.

The Left’s Disposable Transgender Children – We used to treat mental illness with the goal of helping people

We used to treat mental illness with the goal of helping people. An apt example is how we responded to the epidemic of eating disorders that began in the 1970s and accelerated into the 1980s.

According to the Mental Health Foundation of the United Kingdom, “bulimia nervosa (commonly known as bulimia) is an eating disorder and a serious mental health problem.” The risks of anorexia are similarly concerning. A 2007 study published in the Journal of Psychiatric Practice observed, “Anorexia nervosa (AN) is a serious mental illness, characterized in part by intense and irrational beliefs about shape and weight, including fear of gaining weight.”

Writing in Psychology Today, Dr. Emily Deans observed, “Eating disorders in adolescents are strongly predicted by the earlier presence of depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety.” Her treatment recommendations include, “A personalized approach, based on treating underlying depression, anxiety, nutritional deficiencies, and teaching that our bodies deserve to be nourished with proper, whole foods can be surprisingly effective.”

But different illnesses affecting young people are treated differently. Many people today not only discourage treating the mental illness that underlies gender confusion in children, they deliberately exacerbate it. The differences between treating eating disorders and self-proclaimed transgenderism are staggering.

There is a minuscule percentage of people whose chromosomal sex is at variance with their medically observed sex characteristics. It is very real and demands substantial medical intervention. By contrast, most people claiming to be transgender suffer a mental disorder and are not being treated with the same care as those afflicted by eating disorders.

Transgenderism was classified by the American Psychiatric Association as a mental disorderuntil 2012. But the behavior of transgenders mirrors the APA’s definition of delusions. According to the APA, delusions are “an often highly personal idea or belief system, not endorsed by one’s culture or subculture, that is maintained with conviction in spite of irrationality or evidence to the contrary.”

If a man maintains with conviction that he is a woman in spite of chromosomal, anatomical, endocrinological and other evidence to the contrary, it’s not unreasonable to conclude that man is delusional. This, according to a WebMD item reviewed by Dr. Smitha Bhandari, is “a type of serious mental illness called a psychotic disorder.”

The Cleveland Clinic advises treatment for delusions to include “psychotherapy (talk therapy) and medication,” further noting, “people with severe symptoms or who are at risk of hurting themselves or others might need to be admitted to the hospital until the condition is stabilized.”

The treatment for delusions parallels that of eating disorders, yet it is too often denied to people suffering from transgenderism. That’s because, unlike transgenderism, there is no political advantage in promoting eating disorders. People are not demanding construction of vomitoria for bulimia sufferers. We do not affirm the delusions of people with anorexia or tell them to embrace their warped body image while encouraging self-starvation. We do the compassionate thing and treat them, putting them on a path to good health and happy lives.

But because young people confused about their gender are politically useful, Leftists exploit them and dissuade them from obtaining the medical treatment they need. They instead force them deeper into mental illness by promoting the lie that they can simply alter natural law on a whim.

This cruelty is being perpetrated in pursuit of Marxism, and totalitarians have a long history of exploiting children. Vladimir Lenin declared a century ago, “Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted,” and Lenin’s philosophy continues today. This is not caring or compassionate. Transgender ideologues see these children as disposable, as collateral damage, in their quest to un-do the American founding.

Today’s events are reminiscent of China’s Cultural Revolution which destroyed millions of families and left millions more dead. While the United States is a long way from the mass murder committed by the Red Guards, the intentional family tumult promoted by the Revolution is eerily echoed by supporters of the LGBTQ agenda. It is designed to destroy what Marx called, “the bourgeois family,” and they do so by preying on the insecurities of adolescents and the innocence of younger children.

Eventually, the Cultural Revolution ended and so will our current chaos. When it does, I believe history will reflect on this era with tremendous shame and bewilderment at how we allowed it to happen. The guilt will be such that people promoting this agenda today will deny their involvement, but they cannot escape the ignominy of their actions.

Until then, we must continue to show compassion for those afflicted by this ideology. To truly, genuinely care about children deceived into believing their gender delusions is to recognize their illness and advocate for their proper care, just as we do for those suffering from bulimia, anorexia, and other mental disorders.

Germany closes its last 3 nuclear plants, ending an era of cheap and stable energy

RWE nuclear power plant Emsland in Lingen, Germany,Smial at German Wikipedia, GFDL

Between 10:00 p.m. and midnight on Saturday, the last three nuclear power plants still operating in Germany were shut down, marking the end of nuclear power generation in the country after 60 years. The measure was received with mixed reactions across Germany.

A representative organization of large industrial energy users says energy shortages are to be expected, while environmentalists across Germany celebrated the fulfillment of a decades-long dream of no more nuclear power plants in the country.

“Today is a very big day, we have shut down the last three nuclear reactors. The Fukushima nuclear disaster in 2011 was the biggest boost to our success, but our decade-long struggle has also contributed to this,” said one unnamed environmental activist.

The end of nuclear energy in Germany came after the power plants Isar 2 in Bavaria, Emsland in Lower Saxony, and Neckarwestheim 2 in Baden-Württemberg were permanently disconnected from the grid. At the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, a giant toppled dinosaur symbolized the closure of nuclear power plants and the victory over nuclear power.

However, not everyone in Germany was so enthusiastic about the closure of the last nuclear power plants. One demonstrator in Berlin said the closure would mean the country would return to fossil fuels and coal, which pollutes the air with carbon dioxide. Some in Emsland, where one of the closed nuclear power plants is located, also said they did not understand the point of the measure.

“It is an incomprehensible decision. Here in Germany, we are closing a nuclear power plant, and a few kilometers away in the Netherlands, they are building a new one. So much for Europe,” complained one man.

Nuclear energy does not play a significant role in the overall German energy supply. Last year, 46 percent of energy production came from renewable sources, 45 percent from fossil sources, 6 percent from nuclear and the rest from other sources. According to the German grid regulator, the closure of nuclear power plants does not jeopardize security of supply because there is sufficient electricity generation capacity from other sources to cover the loss of nuclear power.

Just as the last nuclear power plant powered down in Germany on Saturday, on Sunday Finland brought onlineEurope’s largest nuclear plant, Olkiluoto 3, with a capacity of 1.6 gigawatts. It is the first new nuclear plant in Finland in 40 years and the first in Europe in 16 years.
