Left-wing German minister wants to seize guns from members of conservative AfD party

In a sign of what may await conservatives in both Europe and North America, the left-wing interior minister of the German state of Thuringia, Georg Maier, wants to withdraw gun licenses from Alternative for Germany members, which would effectively result in a mass weapon confiscation.

Maier, who belongs to the Social Democrat Party (SPD), has tasked his employees with establishing a working group on “Weapons and Extremists” to move forward on the issue. They plan to create the “AG WaffEx,” which would be located at the state administration office and help local authorities “in the processing of relevant cases.”

While the interior minister says that they will target “right-wing extremists,” this list also apparently includes legal members of the AfD who have never been convicted of any crime or shown any sign of participating in terror activity. The rule would, for example, target AfD members who legally own weapons as hunters or marksmen, according to German news outlet T-Online. The letter says that “appropriate revocation procedures should be initiated against these in principle.”

As justification for the rigorous approach, Maier uses the assessment of the Thuringian Office for the Protection of the Constitution that the state association of the AfD in Thuringia is “proven to be right-wing extremist.” In much the same way that Republicans have been labeled as Nazis or “fascists” in the United States, the AfD has to contend with claims of “right-wing extremism” primarily due to its opposition to mass immigration.

The AfD, which was once the largest opposition party in the German parliament, and which still receives millions of votes, has been targeted by the German state for years. Germany’s top court has designated the entire party a “potential” threat to democracy, which means all members are already subject to draconian surveillance that allows state authorities to read their emails and listen to their phone calls without any just cause. The fact that a democratically elected party is subject to such law enforcement constraints in Germany, a country that prides itself on being an open liberal democracy, has been lost on much of the public.

Ironically, the government’s own data shows that AfD members and politicians are the most attacked party in the country. Yet, there has never been a case of any member protecting themselves with a firearm, despite a number of serious assaults. Germans are not permitted to openly carry firearms, as in the U.S., and mostly use their weapons for target practice or hunting.

Germany’s left-wing government, which is led by SPD, has made the AfD and conservatives a special target, implementing a range of surveillance and anti-democratic methods to keep the party from growing in popularity. The latest move to ban firearms for the party’s members may not only be to target current members but also an effort to dissuade potential new members from joining the party.

AfD Thuringia is suing against this classification in the report as being for the protection of the constitution.

AfD state spokesman Stefan Möller criticized the actions of the interior minister. He accused him of using an adapted weapons law in Germany “as a substitute criminal law against law-abiding hunters and marksmen in the AfD.”

The AfD spokesman accused Maier of continuing what he started with an “abuse of service law to destroy the existence of AfD-related officials.” Möller said the state interior minister is repressing AfD members with this method “because his SPD sees no chance in a fair political debate against AfD Thuringia.”

The AfD party is especially popular in Thuringia, where it routinely receives over 20 percent of the vote. In the last 2019 election, the party received 23.4 percent of the vote.

Cash ban: Belgium obliges all shops to accept cards

A law came into force in Belgium which obliges every shop to accept card payments. Paying only in cash is no longer possible. Those responsible assert that a no-cash ban is planned in the medium term. Critics worry about a possible attempt to create consumption and movement profiles. It is probably also the next step for the nationwide introduction of the digital euro – and thus total control over citizens

Corona as a springboard for a digitized world: Hardly in any other area was this as obvious at the beginning of the “pandemic” as with cash.

In the fear of a supposed “killer virus” people were told that banknotes were contaminated. In some cases, shops instructed their customers to pay by card in anticipatory obedience.

The amount payable without entering a code into the machine was even doubled in Austria to 50 euros to avoid touching a pin keypad. The warnings turned out to be false, but in many countries the creeping move away from cash is now de rigueur.

Belgian shops must offer cash alternatives

Actually, most Belgians are of the opinion that cash is king. Three quarters of them strictly reject a cash ban. But the government has not backed down. Supposedly to prevent fraud, every corner shop and chip shop must now provide a cashless payment alternative. In the capital Brussels in particular, there are numerous shops that only accept card payments anyway. But another draft law, which also wants to make it mandatory to accept cash, is on hold – probably because the notion is so unpopular.

The official argument goes that the fight against fraud and money laundering is always the same thing. In this way, Italy, for example, already limited the upper limit for cash payments to 1 000 euros. A few years ago in Greece there was even talk of a threshold of 70 euros – but in times of skyrocketing inflation, the continuation of such plans would not make sense. Officially, no one wants a ban on cash – but in reality that may be the plan.

It is a psychological trick that one communication expert, Dr. Braun explained in an interview with AUF1: “I’ll bring in the scenario that I want to implement later, but for the moment I’m still distancing myself from it.” In this way, a concept enters people’s world of thoughts and feelings that is no longer unknown territory when it comes to their implementation . For example, if people are not to imagine a pink elephant walking across a green desert right now, that is exactly what they would imagine.

The assurances that a cash ban is not planned are probably a case of “pre-teaching”, Braun argued.

Social Credit System via Central Bank Digital Account

The situation is similar with the digital euro, which the European Central Bank (ECB) has been promoting. Its boss Christine Lagarde, is also a board member of the World Economic Forum (WEF). At its summit in May, the planned central bank digital money was a big topic. The mantra is always the same: the digital euro is supposed to only supplement cash. But the example of Sweden is enough to understand that the ban could also be used to raise customer awareness. Cash is a rare sight in the Nordic country and it will be abolished entirely next year.

If such plans were implemented, the people would suddenly be under the total control of powerful interests. Without having a digital money account, it could become impossible to even buy a simple loaf of bread. It is quite possible that the threat of an account ban could be used as a targeted means against political dissidents. A combination with a social credit system with a reward for “good behavior” and punishment for obstinacy is also conceivable. And that would be by no means the only control mechanism that the elites have to offer.

Social credit system in Europe as a pilot project in Bologna, Bavaria and Vienna in autumn

Even the state radio has already mentioned that data protectionists warn of the possibility that movement and consumption profiles can be created in this way. Already during the first lockdown, governments used this tool via mobile phone operators to understand whether citizens were adhering to the totalitarian regulations of the Corona dictatorship.

In a hyper-connected smart city favored by the rulers, however, controlling the likes of subjects could take on far more terrifying traits.

For example, a former Danish Minister for the Environment had dreamed of a life in which one had no car, no house, no appliances and no clothes. A world where you “can’t go anywhere without being registered”. And the lecture by a Finnish activist made it into the “Smart City Charter” of the German Ministry of the Environment in 2017. He spoke of a future where data could “complement or replace money as a currency”. In the final stage, even free elections would disappear, because “behavioral data can replace democracy as the social feedback system.”

Women and children from jihadist camps in Syria repatriated to France

France has repatriated a group of women and their children from camps in Syria where suspected family members of the Islamic State terror cell have been held since the organization’s downfall, the French foreign ministry confirmed on Tuesday.

A total of 16 women and 35 children currently being cared for by social services were told they could return to France, the largest group to return to the country since 2019 when the Islamic State lost control of its territory in Syria and Iraq.

“France has allowed the return of 35 children from camps in the north of Syria today to the country. This operation also included the return of 16 mothers from the same camps,” the French ministry said.

All the women, of whom 14 have French citizenship and two are mothers of children with French nationality, ended up in custody. The authorities also imposed this on one minor, who will soon turn 18.

Since 2016, 126 children whose parents joined the Islamic State have returned to France. However, around 200 children and 80 of their mothers are still waiting to return to Europe in northern Syria.

U.N. and NGOs are pushing for return of Islamist families

According to Le Monde, Paris has a stricter approach to its citizens in camps in Syria than neighboring Belgium, which practically enabled the return of all children and mothers who have Belgian citizenship. France instead assesses each request individually. The U.N. Committee on the Rights of the Child criticized the country for this practice in the past. According to the U.N. body, Paris violated the rights of the child with its approach.

The committee pointed out the squalid conditions in the camps that threaten children’s lives. Occupants are often living in overcrowded tents, exposed to extreme temperatures, lack food and drinking water, and lack access to education, a U.N. committee said in a report in February.

The Collectif des Familles Unies, an organization bringing together relatives of French people who went to Iraq and Syria to join IS, welcomed the decision.

“This is the first time that France has allowed the return of children together with their mothers from Syrian prison camps,” said the association, which hopes to change the attitude of the French authorities.

Psychologists, lawyers, and some legislators are also calling on the government to enable a widespread return. According to AFP, the French government is proceeding cautiously so as not to upset public opinion. Polls in the past have shown that most of the French oppose the return of jihadist children.

Austria: Afghan waiter rapes 18-year-old female guest in pub

An investigation is underway against a waiter (38) of a restaurant in a shopping centre in Pasching on suspicion of rape. The Afghan is alleged to have sexually assaulted an 18-year-old girl, who was there as a guest, in a separate room at around 11 pm at the end of June.

The alleged victim reported the man. He had had sexual intercourse with her against her will. The suspect did not confess. However, he is incriminated by the statements of two of the teenager’s friends and another man.

“It is true that there is a suspect known by name. The investigation is still ongoing and not all witnesses have been questioned yet. The incident is likely to have started consensually. Alcohol was also involved on the part of the victim,” says Ulrike Breiteneder of the Linz public prosecutor’s office about the state of the proceedings. The Afghan is still at large.

There is currently a legal standstill after an alleged gang rape at the end of March at Linz Central Station. At that time, three Afghans (all 15 years old) and an Iranian (14) allegedly attacked a 16-year-old girl. The alleged victim has still not been able to be questioned by the court due to her condition. “We don’t want to put pressure on the 16-year-old. You don’t want to cause additional harm to the victim. But of course we will try again to get a hearing,” said Breiteneder.

The Syrian (19) who allegedly raped a Ukrainian refugee girl (15) in Weyer at the beginning of May is also accused. According to witnesses, the boy and the girl approached each other and then disappeared. The day after next, the 15-year-old girl, accompanied by her brother, filed a complaint with the police.

No longer a conspiracy theory: Dutch farmers must make way for asylum seekers

Flevo member of parliament Niek Beenen (JA21) has shared a document on Twitter from the province of Flevoland in the Netherlands about the purchase of “nitrogen space” in the Noordoostpolder.

“The province of Flevoland has bought nitrogen space in the Noordoostpolder. With the nitrogen space that has been freed up, the province can help a number of PAS claimants in the Noordoostpolder. This opportunity has arisen because the government has bought an agricultural business in the Noordoostpolder. The government wants to set up a registration centre for asylum seekers at the location of the farm,” reads the document.

“In this country, farming families who produce food are being exchanged for asylum seekers,” tweeted Beenen.

“Of course it is a conspiracy theory that all farmers in the Netherlands are being bought out because a lot of asylum seekers are coming to the Netherlands. Yet it does not help to send such letters as Flevoland province is in the middle of the nitrogen crisis,” responded entrepreneur Rutger van den Noort.

“The constant denial that immigration, housing, nature policy, agriculture and nitrogen/climate have anything to do with each other is laughable,” he added.

PVV-leader Geert Wilders also responded to the document. “Here’s the proof. It just says it all. The farmer has to go because they want to build a registration centre for asylum seekers on his land. They are completely destroying the Netherlands. Our farmers out, the fortune seekers in. No wonder people are furious,” Wilders noted.

FVD group chairman Brent Hadderingh commented: “Farmers out, asylum seekers in. Really every caricature has been surpassed. Unashamedly.”

“According to people […] I spread ‘conspiracy theories’ when I say that farmers have to make way for migrants. It clearly says here: ‘The government wants to set up a registration centre for asylum seekers at the location of the agricultural business’. What’s a ‘conspiracy theory’?” asked legal philosopher Raisa Blommestijn.

The application centre will be in Bant, where about 1500 people live who do not welcome asylum seekers.

Meanwhile, countless photos and videos of the farmers’ strike against land expropriation in the Netherlands have circulated on the Internet, even though the mainstream media tried to ignore the protest. The situation escalated at the beginning of this week. The farmers have also been joined by fishermen and seafarers, blocking ports and thereby endangering the already fragile supply chains. The government, for its part, has called in armored personnel carriers.

The authorities have tried to put down the protest with tear gas and batons. The farmers responded with blockades, hay bales and manure. There appears to be no end in sight to their resolve.

Since Monday, supermarkets and ports have increasingly been the focus of the protests. German farmers have taken part in the rallies at the border crossings. Hundreds of farmers blocked the access roads to large supermarket warehouses with hay bales on Monday. More than 20 distribution centers of the large supermarket chains were affected.
