The victim only learned a year later what happened that night!
Unusual rape trial at Detmold Regional Court. The defendants were the friends Mohar S. (24) and Mohammed N. (25). In March 2019, they partied with Marie T. (32, name altered) in a disco at night. Around four am, the trio drove to the woman’s flat. There they carried on drinking.
Finally, Mohar S. and the almost unconscious woman had sex in the bathroom. Mohammed N. filmed everything on his mobile phone. Afterwards the Syrians left the flat. Marie T. did not remember anything because of all the alcohol.
About a year later, she found out what had happened. Because Mohammed N. had sent several child pornographies with his mobile phone and a recipient filed a complaint, the police seized his mobile phone.
While analysing the data, the investigators found the sex video. The geodata was used to locate the crime scene and Marie T. was identified as the victim. Charges were brought.
In the trial, the men claimed: “She invited us to her flat and wanted sex with the three of us. She was virtually insatiable.”
But the judges trusted the victim’s testimony and the video images. The verdict: Mohar S. was sentenced to four years in prison for rape, Mohammed N. was given a 15-month suspended sentence for distributing child pornography and violating the most personal sphere of life by making video recordings. The verdict is not yet final.
