German security authorities are sounding the alarm! They have hints that Muslim terrorists have recently entered the country in the guise of asylum seekers. According to security sources, the men, so-called high-risk threats, come from Central Asia and the Middle East and would have concrete plans to carry out attacks in Germany.
As Focus reported, the Federal Prosecutor’s Office in Karlsruhe has commissioned the Federal Criminal Police Office to investigate the potential attackers. However, these investigations are proving difficult.
“It’s pretty much the same old story,” says an official from the State Protection Service. ” At the border they destroy their identity cards, name some country of origin and then apply for asylum with a fantasy name. How are we supposed to know if there is possibly a terrorist standing in front of us?”
The Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution currently assumes that 1,750 people belong to the “Islamist-terrorist potential”. “The threat level from Islamism remains high,” a spokeswoman for the Office for the Protection of the Constitution confirmed to Focus. “An Islamist attack must be expected to occur in Germany at any time.”
