Yesterday lunchtime, a SUV car crashed into a group of people at a tram stop in Munich city centre. According to the police, seven people were injured, three of them seriously. The driver is a 52-year-old man. The authorities have so far assumed that the accident happened ‘while the tram was travelling’. There is currently no indication of a political or ideological cause, they added. Around 25 police officers, around 30 firefighters and a large number of volunteers from the emergency services were deployed at the scene. However, pictures and videos of the ‘accident’ vehicle were circulating on the internet, showing the clearly recognisable name of an Ottoman sultan on the rear window (see the following enlarged detail of the picture above). According to eyewitnesses, the driver is also said to be a man of Turkish and/or Arabic appearance.
Remarkably, this is the second incident of this kind in just a few days. It was only on Friday that a car crashed into a crowd of people in Stuttgart. Eight people were injured, one woman died of her serious injuries. ‘According to the current state of the investigation and based on the information available so far, our colleagues at the Olgaeck operation are assuming that this was a tragic road accident. There are currently no indications of an attack or a deliberate act,’ said the police. It was a 42-year-old driver who had lost control of his car when turning.
Despite all official announcements to the contrary, speculation is spreading in both cases, which make one wonder about the overly hasty classification as an accident, as there are great similarities to the terrorist attacks of recent years. In view of the state’s information policy in such cases, this is not surprising. When terrorists with a migration background were involved, everything was done to conceal this fact for as long as possible until the incidents disappeared from the headlines, which happened quickly thanks to the left-wing ideological bias of many media outlets. The next step was to hastily declare the perpetrators ‘mentally ill’, then suddenly the Russian secret service had to be used as the sinister perpetrator of the migrant terror.
Many now fear that terrorist attacks are being hastily categorised as accidents in order to cover up the extent of the danger. Even if many of these allegations ultimately turn out to be unfounded, the obvious and justified concerns of citizens nevertheless show the extent to which this state has lost the trust of large sections of the population.
