Who is really in charge of the United States? Most believe the geriatric leader President Joe Biden is not really the Commander in Chief of his country.
According to a survey conducted late last month by The Trafalgar Group in partnership with Convention of States, US voters have not been fooled by the mainstream media. The poll asked respondents whether Biden was “fully executing the duties of his office”. A total of 56,5 percent of respondents said “no,” stating that “others are directing policy and agenda”. Only 36,4 percent said they were convinced that Biden was “directing all policy and agenda” for his administration.
Among GOP voters, only 11 percent said they believed Biden was in charge of running the country while a massive 83,6 percent thought he was not in the loop. Among Democrats the picture was rosier, with 58,6 percent stating that Biden was in charge compared to 31,7 percent who said there were others making decisions.
Among non-partisan Americans, 36,1 percent said Biden was directing policy and agenda in the US while 58,4 percent said others were responsible, which is more or less consistent with the general trend.
By age group, young people were the most skeptical of Biden’s tenure: No other age category scored below 36 percent. In fact, only 21 percent of 18- to 24-year-olds believe he’s fully executing the duties of his office. Only among black voters did the president inspire confidence, with 69 percent stating the belief that he was fully in charge.
According to a Rasmussen poll of June 2020, almost 40 percent of voters thought then-presumptive Democratic nominee Biden had dementia, including 30 percent of likely independent voters. Only one in five Democrats supported the notion.
In July, Donald Trump called Biden a “Trojan horse” for socialism. “[Biden is] a Trojan horse. He has no clue, but the people around him are tough, and they’re smart,” Trump said. Curiously, Biden is purported to have won more than 81 million votes during the presidential election, surpassing the previous record high of 69,5 million set by Barack Obama.
The Trafalgar Group poll was conducted between June 23-25, 2021 with more than a thousand likely general election voters taking part and had a margin of error of 2,97 percent. Trafalgar happens to be the Atlanta-based pollster of Robert Cahaly – one of the only strategists who correctly predicted the 2016 presidential election win for Donald Trump.
