The Austrian Medical Association seems to have noticeably forgotten its actual mission, namely the well-being of all patients in Austria, in the wake of the Corona propaganda of the governing parties. For months, the Chamber has been unabashedly agitating against unvaccinated citizens, i.e. more than two million people in this country – from compulsory vaccination to “lockdown for the unvaccinated”. The medical association in Lower Austria took the cake by seriously demanding monthly fines for the unvaccinated.
Under a so-called “pandemic tax”, the Lower Austrian representation of the Chamber dared to propose that people unvaccinated against the coronavirus should in future pay monthly penalties. These should be approximately the amount of tobacco tax that an average smoker pays per month through his cigarette consumption. That would currently be between 90 and 100 euros.
All those who have a valid “vaccination protection” and have received two or already three jabs should be exempt from this, according to the medical association.
The absurd demands were immediately criticised by the leader of the FPÖ (Austrian Freedom Party), Herbert Kickl. In a statement, he reminded the Medical Association of its actual tasks and demanded better concepts for people affected by the coronavirus:
The medical association should rather ensure that those people who are tested positive for the coronavirus receive immediate medical treatment. This is the only way to prevent overloading the intensive care units. But you don’t have any information on this from the Chamber bosses. They have made themselves comfortable in the wake of the perfidious vaccination propaganda of the federal government and have restricted themselves to threatening doctors who deviate from the government’s policy with disciplinary proceedings. That is the real scandal!
