Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif has cancelled a visit to Vienna planned for today, Saturday, to meet Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg ( Austrian People’s Party). The reason for this, he said, was that the Federal Chancellery and Foreign Ministry had hoisted the Israeli flag on Friday in the recent Middle East conflict between Israel and Hamas. Schallenberg spokesperson Claudia Türtscher confirmed a corresponding report by the newspaper “Presse” (online) to the press agency APA on Saturday.
