Green communists in Kollam, Kerala, tried to create a communal riot by using a Muslim to wave Che Guevara’s flag during a Hindu Temple festival. A group of communist Muslims climbed on stage and waved the flag inside the temple walls during the festivities at the centuries-old Pattazhy Parvathi Devi Kshetram.
Alan Shahul, a defendant in several criminal cases and a CPM worker, waved a red flag with a picture of Che Guevara inside the temple. It happened during the Kumbha Thiruvathira festival. CPM theatrics have not gone down well with local Hindu devotees.
When the worshippers protested, Baiju, the president of the Temple advisory committee and CPM local committee member, supported Shahul. CPM District Panchayat member Ananthu Pillai and his goons attacked Hindu devotees who complained. They are the same ones who raised communist red flags inside the Pattazhy Parvathi Devi Kshetram advisory committee office earlier.
Trouble began when devotees hoisted saffron flags of Bhagwan Hanuman’s image inside the temple. The communists had stationed members of other religions inside the temple to stop the saffron flag. These Muslims deliberately waved Che Guevara’s flag to provoke anger and violence. Devotees quickly regrouped and cleared the Temple of these uninvited guests.
Just last month, the Kerala High Court held that the District Administration or the Police could not insist that only ‘politically neutral’ colored decorative materials be used for temple festivals. It added that a worshipper or devotee also has no legal right to demand that saffron/orange colored decorative materials alone be used for celebrations in a temple under the management of the Travancore Devaswom Board.
The Court was dealing with two writ petitions filed challenging the orders of the District Magistrate and the Police directing the use of only ‘politically neutral’ colors in the decorations connected with the Kaliyoottu festival in Vellayani Bhadrakali Devi Templenear Thiruvananthapuram. The District Administration or the police cannot meddle with the power of the Travancore Devaswom Board in conducting the Kaliyoottu festival following the custom, rituals, and practices of that temple, the High Court ordered.
Politicians continue to be members of the advisory committee in violation of the High Court’s order against becoming Temple management committee members. Hindu organizations and devotees have decided to proceed legally against such dark forces led by Hindus In Name Only (HINO) atheists trying to incite religious violence.
It is worth wondering how Muslims entered the ancient Hindu temple. How did the criminals reach the temple premises during the auspicious ceremony? CPM workers are attacking temple festivals all over Kerala and using the police to file cases against those using saffron.
Devotees asked what was wrong with using saffron color in the temple. There are also questions about how a flag with Bhagwan Hanuman’s image can go against temple rituals. CPM is now trying to compete against this using HINOs and non-Hindus.
The High Court decision is allegedly why the CPM has entrusted their dirty job to green communists. The result is that come dusk, all Temples now look like Mosques with green lights illuminating their entrances. Saffron flags are banned anyway.
Will communists wave Che Guevara flags inside mosques during Muslim festivals? As communists try hard to incite communal violence, the local Muslim community encourages them with silence. Hindu organizations have decided to oppose all such evil communist moves.
